Original rating was deleted so Im re-posting. The short is they had Diesel Exhaust Fluid advertised for $14.99. At he register the price was higher. I took salesperson to display and he said it was a mistake and wouldnt honor the price. I mention a new auto parts store was opening on Germantown Road. Basically he said I could go there. So much for customer service.

They told us what battery to get for our motorcycle and we got it. Unfortunately the battery they suggested was wrong and didn’t fit. When we tried to return it or just get the correct battery but the worker Chris gave us attitude about how the battery should work and it’s the right fit. He tried to argue with us about whether or not it fit like we didn’t just try for 30 minutes to get it to work. Chris’s attitude was very poor and he was visibly mad at the situation and he didn’t try to hide it.

I purchased a battery from this store and a little over two weeks later my car wouldn’t start. Long story short the battery was defective. The manger refused to take it back or even give me a store credit. He would only swap it. Nowhere does it say that returns weren’t an option!! The manager is so RUDE!! He was very short and snappy with me.

Customer service is atrocious. I walk in to an employee and customer having a loud argument at the front of the store. I asked for help finding rubbing compound and got a wave in a general direction of the store. After staring at the wall of products fore more than 5 minutes I called a friend for help and got a better answer than the employees help. Id rather go out of my way and maybe pay a bit more to get better service at Pep Boys or AutoZone.

Dont shop here.They are terrible.A somple exchange of the same price and it turns out the end of the world.Dont shop here.Its better to shop at auto zone.They will let you exchange stuff their without a problem.I will never shop their again and will let all my family and friends to stay away.

Many customers with masks below the chin no enforcement whatsoever despite two signs outside stating masks required and as with the rest of the 1 star reviews, customer service is atrocious. Do better and train your employees properly the attitude with them is despicable. Find people who actually want to work.

I brought the car to battery check, waiting in line when my turn they said wait until no customer in the line and then they can come out to help me, I keep waiting the customers keep coming and they said that is the policy of advance auto parts, i did talk to manager of the store but no help, i talked to cashiers she told me go to another store i hope the owner will train employees better. If the battery bad i will buy another one from the store, i think that not the way to do business, thanks.

Wow! Absolutely appalled by the behavior from the older, Caucasian man at the counter tonight. I was having battery problems. I was able to get a tow truck to jump my car in Fairfax, but was adviced not to turn off the car once I got to my location. Once I got to the Advanced Auto in Germantown, I turned the car off by accident. I thought, “ no problem, at least I’m at my destination! I’ll buy the battery and have it installed!”The car was in the front of the Advanced Auto ( with blinkers on)—I went in asking if I could buy a battery and have it installed, as advertised. The guy told me “no” due to the time that I walked in ( it was around 5 pm). I asked if I could at least get a jumper cable, and he wouldn’t even give me that. As a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars, I was truly hoping that this man would be a Good Samaritan and help in any way that he could. Because in a world with such chaos, kindness goes such a long way!! Thankfully, a few kind people stopped to assist me once they saw that I was having issue. In fact, someone in the Advanced Auto heard about my problem and offered his jumper cable.I will never forget this incident and the way this employee treated me. In fact, I plan to visit the Gaithersburg location tomorrow to have the battery installed. I will never return to this location, despite being right up the street.Absolutely terrible customer service and lack of human decency is what you’ll find here! And unless Advanced Auto Germantown plans on doing something about this, there is no to need to respond to this review with drivel. Save the apologies!

I drove 50 mins to come to this location and I called before to confirm everything as well but when I got to the store they said they cant do anything for.... the battery has an installation date but they didnt honor it

Today, I needed a new battery and get it installed. I called ahead to see if they carried it. The woman who answered my call was very friendly and helpful. She said that they had the battery to fit my Jeep. I went to the store at noon (Thursday). I was asked if I needed help and was immediately taken care of. Mohammad N, got my battery, rang it up & I paid. We went out to my Jeep. He changed out the battery and I was on my way in less than 15 minutes. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Thank you. I couldnt be more happy about the help I received.

This shops incompetent store staff gave me the run around over a 4.99 cent fuse part for 2 days. First they had it, only to find out they didnt have it, but would have it deliver to their store in 2 hours. Then 2 hours, 30 mins later they still didnt have it. Then the next day, they said they now do have it and that there is 2 in the back only for me to drive in for the 4th time and no one knows what Im talking about. They couldnt find it. They took no ownership of the time wasting and run around they gave me. No apologies, bad customer service. Apparently I am the one who is wasting their time. I will NEVER shop at this AAP again.

Friendly and helpful team there,I walked in and immediately the first person ran into dropped what he was doing right away and helped me find the filter to my motorcycle!When he couldnt find it he was able to order it for delivery today from another store. Which reminds me I have an hour before i have to go back to pick it up!

Ordered my new Optima Red Top battery online (save 25% as a new online customer) and had it installed at the Middlebrook store within an hour. Shaoiab checked the starter motor and installed battery afterwards to make sure everything was good. Highly recommend due to price and service!

I went brought new windshield wipers and unfortunately after 2 weeks of using them I discovered something was wrong with them. Long story short I went to have them exchanged and the shift supervisor said sorry theres nothing I can do since you dont have a receipt so I went back 2 days later and the manager Sam (a God send the reason for my 5 stars) search their system and was able to find my purchase and swapped them out and recommend a better quality brand!

Its a chain store so they have pretty much everything. The down side is the staff disappears so youre waiting in long lines to check out or have a question answered. I needed a turn signal bulb. Went to the bulb section and they were out. Waited to see if it was behind the counter. I had to have it. 30 minutes later I was leaving. Luckily I wasnt in a rush. Probably should have just gone somewhere else.

Pretty much the only car parts store in the area, short of what you can get at Walmart. Located in the Germantown Commons. I like it because I maintain my car myself with small things such as oil changes, various filter checks and changes, fluid checks and changes, had to get a new battery last year and they had one, Sears did not, etc. They pretty much always have what I need in stock as far as the things mentioned above, not to mention, a great selection of cleaning/detail products. Plus, you gotta always get yourself one of those little trees when leaving!

We just buy parts online now after multiple, less than pleasant experiences. My fiancée and I had to come to this location 3 separate times because we called them to get brake pads, they put the wrong ones on hold and therefore we were sold the wrong ones, and then they gave is incorrect info, resulting in us having to purchase more pads than were needed. Then we had issues returning the pads that were not needed in the first place!Also, they were blasting music so loud that you have to make an effort to talk over it... And I swear Im not just dont old grumpy man, but Id say the music was inappropriate for whats supposed to be a professional, work environment.

Went in to Advanced Auto today needing just an air filter for my car. I was the only customer in the store at first and one clerk was on the phone with a customer and the other walked down an isle after looking at me walk in the door. The clerk on the phone asked the other clerk if he could help me and he looked back to say Yeah, when I am ready. So I waited patiently for him to come back. When he got back he was rude when I asked him to help me find the filter and I just decided to leave.

I originally ordered a filter and the salesman told me the store did not have it in stock but that If I bought it he could order the part and have it shipped the next day. I came into the store a few days later to find out that what was told to me was not accurate. The part had to be picked up by the customer in Va. Lets just say I was not happy. If an employee is unsure of the how the store procedure works, common sense is to ask for assistance and not tell the customer what they think is true when in reality is not.

I placed an order online, when I went to pick up the order the guy asked me if I called in advance to make sure they had the part. The website said it was available, whats the point of ordering online if you have to call the store? After 20 minutes the guy asked for the name of the part that I ordered and started searching in the system, really???? They did not have the part and I had to cancel the order, no apologies from him, he just cancelled the order and said THANK YOU VERY MUCH :-/ I only go there because the closest AutoZone is in Silver Spring.

Slow and lazy staff. I waited in line for a long time while the staff just walked around in the back. A guy finally came to me and asked if i need help (Gary) and I said I that needed and sensor reading. Then he said I cant leave the store. Before he was just on the phone. He then said that I have to wait because its a free service. So, if you arent buying anything right away FU! I needed to find out what was wrong with my car so I could buy something. Stay away...Lazy and Rude!

I called ahead to check if the had my cabin air filter. I was told yes. Drove to the store 6 minutes later and after waiting 20 minutes for service was told they didnt have it. The only explanation was that sometimes the inventory doesnt match whats in the store. I dont think its too much to ask for an accurate answer when you call for information.
