I live right across the street from Shell gas station so it was very convenient for me to get to. Just a really nice walk. I called first, however, just to be certain they were able to fit me in. I took my car to get inspected and they told me it would take about an hour and half before it was ready. I was fine with that. However, I received a call 15 minutes later and they told me my car was ready. It passed inspection and they left my car immaculate, in tact, and safe. I was provided with courteous, professional and expedient service. It is without reservation and hesitation I recommend Shell for your auto maintenance needs.

I just dropped my car off, tire pressure was very low and I had already filled it with air! They were very busy and fit me in, only took 1 1/2 hours! They found a nail and repaired it! They are honest, reasonably priced and have excellent customer service!

My experience from reception to checking out was fast. I had synthetic oil change done in about 30 minutes and I was on my way. I will visit them again. I was charged a reasonable price for the service. Keep it up!

They may lie about some things with your car when you get your inspection. So make sure you are well informed about your car before choosing this place for an inspection.

Apparently I’m not sure what time this gas station inside actually closes but it seems that every time I happen to come there’s nobody at the desk I had a few errands to run came back to this gas station as a shell fan with the same be back in 20 minutes sign in the window and it’s been over a half an hour I am paying cash I’m sure there’s an excuse of why don’t you use your card very true possibly because maybe I want to purchase items inside. Nonetheless shell is slowly starting to lose my business with their employees Exxon It is. Just find it weird that nobody ever seems to be working here at peak hours of when people get off

I took my car to this Shell Station for inspection because it is closer to my home. As usual, the car did not pass inspection, stating I had to replace 3 items. The Guy told me it would cost over $900. I took the car to another Mechanic and paid less than $400 including labor.I returned to Shell for re-inspection within 30 days as advised by the Shell Rep. (Joe), and had only driven the Car for 398 miles.Joe asked if I had driven the car for 1000 miles or has it been 30 days since the initial inspection took place?I told him that I have driven the car less than 400 miles and I am returning to you because recommended repairs were made in less than 30 days. The way Joe spoke to me was unkind, demeaning, and rude!These are his words: we will charge you additional fees if you have driven the car 1000 miles or have not return to us within 30 daysI was charged a $40 fee afterwards.I believe SHELL discriminated against me because I am a Woman.I will never recommend anyone to seek services from this particular SHELL because, they prove to be discriminatory towards minorities, particularly to people who carry foreign names and towards Black Women!

I have been using Germantown Shell since 2010 because I had an experience with another mechanic shop and wanted to find a mechanic I could trust who did good service. Kim, who runs the service center at Germantown Shell is that person and I have stayed with him for the past 5 years and have always been happy with the service. He is fair and thorough and has always tried to work with me to get my car there and to get it picked up. I highly recommend his service.

I just moved to the area and my car broke down and I took a recommendation from a friend. Best decision I made in a long time. I had my car towed there after hours so when the placed opened I went up there and they had already started working on my car. Price was reasonable and finished my car that day. I definitely recommend this place.

It was fast but they charged me a $40 re-inspection fee for the work I did on it for the items that did not pass (brakes and caliper). I returned my vehicle within the same day for them to check and thats when they charged me extra because I didnt give them the work to do, which is unfair. Im not sure how they came up with a prorated amount for less than 5 hour turnaround, but I should not have been charged $40.

This place is all aces!! Had to get a state inspection before the end of the month, on the last day of the month, and out of five places they were the only shop that could accommodate. They were the cheapest for the state inspection and did the repairs cheaper and quicker than the other five places I priced. Super friendly, quick and fair prices. You can take this review to the bank!

Hours say 6am is open time here I sit at a closed pump nearly 7am an hour late and still no sign of opening

In the past years, until I recently discovered Shell’s amazing cost, I didn’t have the leisure of spending what some may call routine auto maintenance. As I visited my local Shell service station to purchase my routine gas, I casually asked the mechanic the cost of an oil change. I was blown away when he told me! Without hesitation I returned the next morning for a well needed oil change, which was fantastic. The service was fast, affordable and I thanked them. Needed a MD state inspection immediately as P-boyz cancelled on me without warning. Called up this shell station around 4:30pm. Said they would have the inspection done by 6pm. Got there close to 5pm and sure enough they were done by 6pm. I called other shops and they could not get me in the same day. Thanks Shell!!!

I use this service station regularly and have never had an issue. I love that I can pop in for small stuff and they will fix it on the spot. If they say an oil change will take 30 minutes my car is done in 30 minutes. They have always been up front with me when they felt that I should take the car to the dealer to have something fixed that might be under warranty and they did not charge me for that. I highly recommend this place to busy people who need things done quickly and properly.

EDIT: Definitely scam artists! Took my car to another inspection site after my husband took my tint off a window and my car passed inspection. They never said anything about the wheel bearings and when I told them the Shell said I needed to replace them the guy laughed. He said they definitely dont need replacing and they were lying! Beware of the frauds at this Shell Service Station!Dont go to this place unless you want to get ripped off, and especially dont take your car here for inspection unless you want to magically have things wrong with your car that they want to fix for an overpriced amount. I should have read reviews because this isnt the first time something similar to this has happened at this shop! I also feel completely taken advantage of because of being female at this service center. I serviced my car before a moving trip which included a replacement of my rear diff. Everything on my car is under warranty and the guys at the dealership could have at anything that needed to be replaced as they get paid labor hours even if my out of pocket is next to nothing. Everything was fine for inspection mechanically speaking said the guys at the dealership, but we didnt do the inspection there because its way more expensive than other places here. (At least in TX and FL shops are consistent with their inspection prices, but not here!) I went to this Shell shop because it was convenient for the day, and have completely regretted my choice. The service advisor said my car failed inspection and would need wheel bearings on both rear tires completely replaced because of sounds heard through a stethoscope. They also said something in rear diff broken making noise when the rear diff is new as it was JUST REPLACED! I called my husband, who has worked servicing cars before we moved here, and he said, Just leave, theyre taking advantage of you because youre female and they know you need a passed inspection after moving here. Places like this will come up with things because they believe its easy money for them as you already paid the inspection fee and they get more money from repair work and reinspection. I cant help it, but when I get taken advantage of my anger turns to tears so thats how I left the place. Husband checked things out and said all is fine and was so mad that they would try and take advantage of a female who doesnt know much about cars, as thats how all the pieces to this are falling. I called to tell them off after what they did and Tom, a service advisor, couldnt back up his shop inspector and said the fail was called by a state trooper WHO NEVER SAW/HEARD/TOUCHED MY CAR!!! Smells like lies all over the place here. Horrible service center, please save yourself time and money by avoiding the place at all costs. Guys like this give the car service industry a bad reputation.
