Not very welcoming at the door. Feels like theyre guarding the door and dont want you there. Staff doesnt know about their products and are mostly interested in selling their Best Buy membership plan. I came to get a specific product and was educated myself about the product but if I wasnt they would have been 0 help.One of the reasons I dont shop here very often.

It was great! My husband is handicapped and they came with a wheelchair to assist him. He was there for a TV and we werent in that store for more than 30 minutes from time of entry, a search and payment. Boom! That was great!!!! We actually were pressed for time because our son had to get to work so this was so good!!! Love Best Buy!!!!
Luis from GeekSquad is absolutely amazing!! First off he told me everything that could potentially be wrong with my laptop and explained the value of doing the diagnostic test. He then helped me save money buy buying the Total Tech Plan (save yourself and buy it now before you need it)! He was extremely professionally and when I got my laptop back it was Squeaky clean (the keyboard looked brand new!)!! I am beyond thrilled with my experience, I will only be coming back to this location! Everyone I talked with was extremely kind and made this process super easy, the whole team at this location is fantastic! If you need tech help, go see Luis! I can’t say it enough, the team at Best Buy in Germantown Rocks!

Ordered a Sony A7 ii w/ 28-70mm lens, $1200+ tax, used PayPal. Order goes through, money is deducted. Right after that, Best Buy cancels the order. So they have my money and I get nothing. They say it may take 10 business days for me to get my money back.I go to the store to see whats going on. The assistant manger tells me that they may have not actually had the item in stock or there was 1 left and you got it at the same time someone else did. Mind you, I ordered online for delivery, not from a specific store, so this seems like a canned excuse they readily give for this problem. He also said there was a shortage on the item. If thats the case, why is it available online and why are you taking the money for something you dont have? The assistant manager was actually trying to argue with me as if this is a normal online shopping experience, as if its something you commonly expect. Also note, the cancellation email that Best Buy sends does not mention any of this, it makes you think that there was a problem with your payment method instead, trying to make it seem like it was your fault.Im not sure if this is a poor technical back end for their online shopping, or if this is a company whose stock price has been sliding for the last quarter, their in store sales tanked during covid, and their debt to asset ratio is at 75%, holding customers cash for items that they dont have in order to fudge their numbers and pay back debtors. Either way, Best Buy is a ridiculous company, and I would advise against ordering anything online, especially if its expensive.
The young men that work at the geek squad were so polite. They called me to tell me my computer was ready. They showed me what happened to it. Also carried out to my car since I have back issues. Very happy with everything they did for me!

I used the curbside pick a couple of times. As soon as I check in, my items are brought out to me promptly. Never have to wait too long. Experience is great. Before I buy j usually compare prices online and am able to on some occasions get the same price or better at Best Buy and pick up the items. Overall very good experience.
Two stars for poor customer service in Geek repairs. Not updated in a timely manner and not notified that repairs delayed a week because their shop did not have needed paperwork. Phone support was more helpful.

We went in to purchase Windows for a computer built from scratch. Two different sales people came to assure us they were selling us the product key that we needed. Low and behold, its a Windows upgrade, not Windows itself, and therefore useless. And a waste of $100 because Best Buy will not do returns on the product keys! Bad advice and poor customer service.
Drove down from Frederick to buy a laptop, case and hard drive, the website said was in stock. After turning down a bestbuy credit card 5 times and being asked why I wouldn’t want one (this is a business purchase and putting it on the company Amex). I was the. Told the model wasn’t in stock. So asked about the one next to it, nope. When I asked what the website would say that they had them in stock I was told they sold them all since I looked, about an hour ago. So I had the sales rep check the store in Gaithersburg, yeah they’ve got them. Guess what? I drive there and I’m told it’s not a model they even keep in stock. What a waste of time, thanks Best Buy. Guess I know to go else where this fall when we’re swapping out our managers old lap tops with surfaces.
Went in to purchase a printer. Asked an associate for usb cable, she just pointed and said it was over behind a column. I went and started searching and couldnt find it anywhere. Long story short I put the printer down and left. I ordered from Target. No headache and didnt have to inconvenience an associate.
The female employee I worked with got the purchase done quickly but unfortunately the phone I wanted with the extra memory for the same price was so out of stock that it couldnt be ordered. Also my spouse saw online a different price, but we quickly realized it was the price for additional months (financing spread out over more time so the price was lower). She seemed irritated about it and repeated herself multiple times to prove that it wasnt the price my spouse said it was, after we had already figured it out and agreed with her. She just wasnt very friendly from start to finish. At checkout the same employee whispered something to the manager and the manager said ohhhhhhhh and made it very obvious they were talking about us. Just very awkward, passive aggressive and unprofessional on both of their parts. We were thankful and very nice the entire time and never disagreed with her on the price, so there was no reason for the attitudes. Maybe they were having a bad day but just not great customer service in my opinion. Very happy with the phone but not sure id go back to that Best Buy.
We bought a washing machine and a dryer in December 2020 from Germantown store and they delivered it in 2 weeks. The next day we stared to use it we and found out that both of the machine are defected shaking and making a lot of noise and we called Best buy and they sent us a technician and he said both of them need to be replaced and nobody showed up to replace the machines and we called best buy again then they connected us with manufacture then they gave us a appointment on may 21st between with a 5 hour window and nobody showed up again. Then I went back to best buy again i spoke to the store manager name was Roza she said she couldnt do anything about it and that we have to keep calling the manufacture. this is not the help that we thought we were gonna get from Best Buy with my 20 years shopping there. my experience over I hope it never happens again

Went on Feb 20 (during covid). There was a 20 minute line outside to get in. Once in they had low inventory in multiple sections. On the bright side they always have quite a few employees willing to help find something and give advice. Marking 3 stars for inventory issue

This review is about the Germantown, MD location. Yes, the prices are great and I can usually find what I need, but they have the worst customer service. If you walk in there looking like your confused, it seems like all the emoyees scatter. Then when you are able to get the attention of someone, they behave as though they barely want to assist you and you are bothering them. They really need to work on their customer service.
I love being in this store because it reminds me of a busy market with everyone doing their own thing. The staff are awesome. I rate based off of my best experience relative to a location, this store location feels as though their ability to assist everyone as good as they have years prior has diminished to a degree.
Went for a new i7 computer. Was shown a HP 8gb. Told them I needed a computer now. I was ready to purchase with cash up. I told oh they were sold out and would be shipped Monday. WHAT. so I said next.The sale person shows me something he claims is similar, Yeah no its smaller and no hmdi for my monitor hookup. Next I told him.Finally I went home with a gaming computer. You would think I would be satisfied. Nope. I have to return the computer because the battery is not working. Good thing I purchase the warranty. The only good thing he did right. After sitting me computer up now I to factory reset it to return it. SMH.

I wanted to speak with someone at the store before putting in an order online. I couldve and likely shouldve called, maybe. But, I went up there feeling upbeat. As soon as I got to the greeters, my energy changed. They greeted the person who walked in just before me, but looked away when I walked in. So, someone else had to greet me... which is fine.The hold up for me was how no one asked if I needed assistance. I walked around a few aisles and ended up in the Customer Service line. That was taking a while, which is to be expected, so I looked around and noticed the aisle I needed.Still, I walked back by the same associates and they were just all too busy speaking with each other.So, I came home and ordered what I hope is correct online. There is an installation service that I purchased. So, I may be back for an update.Moral: Closed mouths dont get fed, I reckon.
Staff are very friendly and helpful once you can get someone to help you. One thing to note though, they seem to be out of stock for recently advertised things. (Many things we looked for anyway... A certain advertised sale fridge, an certain apple mouse, and keybord) also, too of variety of apple keyboards and mice despite having an apple section). #IJS If its advertised locally, it should be in stock.
Its a Best Buy. Nothing spectacular about this particular one. I guess they have had a lot of criminal activities or something because it seems like lately they have a full time Police presence at the door. The curbside pickup is very efficient.

Geek Squad support staff were so kind and accommodating. My MacBook Air is considered out-dated and instead of taking 4 days it took about 2 weeks to fix. Although, the wait was long they were so kind keeping me with updates and thoroughly explaining the issues that my laptop was giving them. Overall, the experience was beyond pleasant and the team gained so much trust from me. I am beyond confident that I can go to this location to this team to get the job done (even if it means waiting). Bare with them ... youre asking for the favor at the end of the day.

The place is pretty great. It has dvds, blurays and 4k ultra discs that are not normally found in other stores and they sell appliances like fridges and grills and computer products and appliances. There are some changes because of the coronavirus, but you can still go in and buy stuff. They have curbside pickup when you order stuff online and wait in the parking lot and notify them that you are here to pick up your item.
I’ve been trying to buy a TV for an hour. In the time I’ve been on hold, I found one cheaper on Amazon, bought it, and set up the delivery. Guess that’s it then.
Bought a radio with free install. Made an appointment only problem was it was 3 months away. November comes around i call to confirm my appointment & the Guy had scheduled some satellite radio cb thing & not a radio. So all said and done he didnt put in my radio because time would overlap with other jobs. So through it all I wasted 3 months & $100. Needless to say offered nothing to fix the problem. Terribly lacking in the customer service department & it seems Geek Squad cant troubleshoot & fix all your problems. Overrated much..
Limited the number of people in the store, and have hand sanitizer at the entrance. The check out and customer service are combined in guessing for the time being. So if you want to return an item you will have to wait in the check out line.

Been going to this Bestbuy for years. Store is well maintained and staff is nice. Prices dont really compare for pre built computers. There always is a pre built tax and you are paying more overall. Every now and then they will have a good deal. I was able to secure a Rtx 3070 founders edition with no hassle. I was not happy to see the sticker on the box. thankfully I was able to remove it no problem. Do your research on prices before you go in store. The do price match Amazon if the seller is from Amazon directly.
Curb side COVID pickup is the best. Texted when I arrived, and someone was out in the minutes. Even when they were so busy, there was a line to get in to the store. Great service!

The shop floor staff were not good when I walked in until I was approached by Sohaib, in the TV section. The young man is doing great work and i liked his patience with me explaining everyrhing I needed to know in detail and making great recommendation. Sohaib deserves a pay rise!

I had an online order for pick up. It was ready in less than half an hour. When I got there, they got it out to me in about 2 minutes. The gentleman who brought out was very kind and professional.

This was usually what got me in the door. _____ comes out on 4K Blu-ray disc today. Will pick it up on the way home. Then I would end up looking around and finding something else I needed. For years I was always picking up things for work. But Best Buy seems to have shifted more to well order it online. The last 3 visits I have been in looking for something to solve a problem... I left empty handed. I was about to buy a wireless charger. Can you power this up so I can see if it work with my phone? They told me to buy it and try it at home. Needless to say... Empty handed again.

I was recently gifted with a much needed stacked washer/dryer for my condo. I was wait listed 2 times, probably because other delivery instalations were more complicated. Happily yesterday Antonio and assistant swiftly and cleanly removed the old set, waited patiently while i cleaned tbe area, and easily installed my new set. And thankfully, It is working perfectly! Thank you Antonio for your efficient and friendly installation!

Decent retailer considering inventory but got to many associates/ salesmen. I like service but not to tell another salesmen every isle that Im just browsing. Maybe they wouldnt have to charge such a premium if they would stick with geek squad, customer service, and a few representatives to help find items. Let the items sell themselves and the professionals advise, would come back more if that was business model... Its 2020 I can order straight from manufacture never leave my house or be bothered.

If I could give Best Buy any advice to be more successful it would be proactivity... the staff was very professional as expected... what I did not appreciate is that even with informing the customer service representative at the front of the store that I was looking for car audio Electronics and that I will be waiting in that department, I will still overlooked. It would be about a half hour to 45 minutes until someone finally helped me make my purchase.After purchasing a $600 in-dash DVD/radio set up including the necessary protection plan for 4 years I walked out the store with a phone number for Geek Squad to schedule an appointment. (The manager of Geek Squad was busy)... after waiting on hold with Geek Squad for about a 1/2 hour I was told that there are no installation appointments available due to the current pandemic... this is where proactivity would have been helpful...If I am a customer looking to purchase equipment to be installed by your staff if there are no appointments available, the customer should be informed of this inconvenience ahead of time.Overall a very disappointing experience.I understand that there is a pandemic and things are very different, but I was informed by staff members at another Best Buy location that appointments for installation were available.
I think its true what they say! Electronics bought on black Friday are not the best. The tech guys I met were helpful but they could not resolve my problem, a laptop going bad just over 2years after I purchased it from best buy. Not good!
We went to Best Buy to get a laptop and about every 1 to 3 minutes another store clerk would come up and ask if there was anything they could help with. They were relentless the entire time. We were there for over an hour and they must have asked us if we needed help 20 or 30 times. Sometimes as one was walking away another would walk up right behind them and ask if we needed help. The answer was always no but they just kept coming at us. I appreciate customer service but maybe the management needs to back off on there a statement that no one should be allowed to shop in peace.

The lady who works for Sprint was sooooo sweet to my dad (hes 75). He asked her how to install an SD card on his phone. She patiently spent 15 minutes with him to show him how to do it. I wish I got her name! I seriously hope Sprint/Best Buy recognize how lucky they are to have a worker like her. ❤️
