This charming restaurant is inside an old home one block off of the main square of downtown Georgetown. They offer a menu of breakfast starting at 7 am, brunch and lunch through 2:30 p.m. Dinner meals are available only on Friday and Saturday evenings. When you approach the venue from the street, you will enter via the right hand side and come in that way. See pic. They have table seating and service as well as take out. They do their own baking in-house.... so baked goods are fresh! I enjoyed a cup of coffee ( quite good) and a serving of coffee cake. Coffee cake was delicious with lots of strudel topping and moist marble swirl. Service was attentive and friendly, and you can select to dine indoors or out. Parking is on the street so plan accordingly. My total for coffee and coffee cake was less than $8 before tip. I really enjoyed this place and you may also......on a Wednesday I stopped in again and enjoyed the Signature Lemon Bar...outstanding! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
Definitely add to your list of places to go.Unique experience with great hospitality.Food was delicious, service was extravagant and the desert was just awesome. The key lime pie or lemon bar for desert is a must.I had the pork chop with tamarind sauce, veggies and mashed potatoes and loved it.We went on a evening when there was a small jazz band playing outside which was fantastic.
Great breakfast and lunch spot in Georgetown. We were new to the area and of the places we’ve checked out this one has constantly impressed that we come back whenever we want a relaxed environment. They have both indoor and outdoor seating(outdoor has shade for each seat for the summer heat) The menu offerings can sell out as most are prepped the night before so I’d suggest not going too late especially on the weekends. They also offer great baked goods you can have there or To-go. If you’re looking to add a little to your brunch they also have adult beverages also.
I recently discovered this fun little cafe during an out of town trip to Georgetown. During my stay I ate two meals there, a take-out dinner on a Friday night and lunch on a Saturday. Dinner was a skinless chicken breast stuffed with brie (I think), and wrapped with bacon. The flavor was good, but the limp slice of bacon was not browned which affected the texture and presentation. The accompanying mashed potatoes and asparagus were excellent. For lunch, I selected the scrambled egg, bacon and cheese croissant sandwich which was served with cubes of watermelon and fresh blackberries. The sandwich was good and fruit ripe and refreshing. A chocolate croissant was a little drier than I had expected. What took this from a 4 star to a 5 star review were the small short bread thumbprint cookies topped with lemon curd. They are delectable and can be purchased to go in packages of four or eight. The staff was friendly, albeit a little distracted due to their customer volume. The setting itself is wonderful and abounds with potted flowers. I will definitely visit again!
Ive come to Sweet Lemon Kitchen for breakfast on multiple occasions, and have thoroughly enjoyed it each time.My favorites so far are the avocado toast and the quiche Lorraine, but Im sure everything else on the menu is just as good.Always great service, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend giving this place a try :)
My sister and I went here for lunch, and man, i cant wait to go back! We sat outside because it was freezing inside. The service was good, and the food was excellent! We tried the peach Arnold Palmer and a lavender cold brew coffee with milk. Both drinks were so good. For food we got the chicken salad plate and quiche Lorraine, both gluten free. The portions were a good size, and everything tasted fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
This was my first time to Georgetown...Sweet Lemon Kitchen is my kind of restaurant...the peach peach tea was great...my sandwich was good, however, the way I read the menu I though I was getting tomato basil soup with my grilled cheese and it was basil tomatoes ON my grilled cheese...it was good but Ill pick something different next time...its a super cute restaurant right off the town square.
Amazing service, wonderful food and great atmosphere. Spent most of a morning there working and was able to enjoy my coffee in the warm and inviting atmosphere. The private intimate rooms make it a great place for small groups or dates!
I went to Sweet lemon kitchen with a family a few years ago. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich and didnt like it. I never went back. I also thought the feel was a ladies hang out. Okay, I was wrong. I can say it. I went tonight with my lady and son. We were seated immediately inside. They also have porch and garden area seating under the trees. A band was outside playing some relaxing jazz music. Georgetown is cool. Anyway, a woman from Sud Afrika waited on us. We had a good time talking about where she is from etc. She was also a great server. For our meal, I had an iced tea that tasted like tea. The others had water. We shared a bruschetta. It had nice tomatoes and cheese with basil pest on crust bread, topped with balsamic reduction. Yummy. Next we had side salads and they were healthy sized, with a nice lemon dressing. The salad was crispy and fresh. My lady had the puffed pastry enclosing salmon on veggies. My son and I were really surprised that she ate the entire meal as the salmon portion was large. It was delicious. My son had linguini and meatballs which he scarfed down like any teenage athlete. That meal came with a crusted garlic bread. I had an amazing chicken sandwich, with chipotle sauce and avocados, lettuce, tomatoes and bacon and a side of fruit. I dont really eat pork and I was unaware that it was on the sandwich. I ate it anyway. Very nice sandwich. One of my favorites now in Gt. Overall, really nice experience, service and great food. I should have come back sooner.updated: went back July 30. Wow. We are really like this restaurant. Pork sandwich, salads, salmon with salsa and chicken on veggies.
So adorable! Lovely place, lovely food, lovely service. I threw a bridal shower for my best friend and the staff did an awesome job. The room was set up in such a cute way and included a ton of food and drinks, as well as access to a balcony for a pretty good price. Definitely recommend.
I visited this place for the first time last Saturday. Its so cute! I followed the yellow brick road up the ramp, looked at the menu posted on the wall, and they was met by a friendly employee. I got a molasses cookie, snickerdoodle, and berry scone to go. The were all wonderful. I especially loved the molasses cookie. They do not currently have indoor seating, but have PLENTY of outdoor tables in the front and back. They have a cool way of ordering where you can just sit at a table, scan the QR code there, and order on your phone. The menu looked yummy and Im looking forward to another visit so I can try more of the food!
This is my favorite spot in Georgetown. They have such a cute relaxing atmosphere and an Amazing menu! I love their homemade yogurt as well as their croissants. I have never been disappointed by anything. The biggest selling for me initially is that everything is scratch made right down the ham and even the yogurt. I highly recommend this spot.
Adorable restaurant. The sandwiches we had were perfect for a lighter, but filling lunch. The lemonades are freshly squeezed and all natural. The staff is super-friendly and worked together to perfection when they were extremely busy.
So disappointed. This is the third time I have been here and up until yesterday food was great. Yesterday however was a different story. I ordered Quiche Lorraine and the pastry was so tough I could not cut it. I brought the servers attention to it and she said she would tell the kitchen. No offer of changing it out was made. I had to scrape the egg part off the pastry. The salad it came with was so huge it almost covered the quiche.. way too big and all arugula with a couple of bits of cut up strawberries and some soft, covered with Im not sure, pecans! All in all not a good experience and I would have expected the quiche to have either been replaced or taken off the bill. Neither happened. It will certainly be a while before I venture back.
This is one of my husband and I’s new favorite places. The staff is always very welcoming and nice, and the food is fantastic! The avocado toast is amazing, one of my husband’s favorite, and the bakery items are always delicious. This is a really cute place for breakfast/brunch.
Beautiful old home with great food and sweets. Plenty of outside seating.
First time to try this place for dinner. The setting is in an old house just off the square. Rebecca, our waitress was on the ball and very courteous. She checked in with us often. I had the pork chop and my wife had the beef medallion plate. We both chose the grilled asparagus for veggie. Cooked to perfection. Both were excellent and the taste was fabulous. The key lime pie for desert was just like that on Key West. I want to go back soon!
Very quaint, charming spot. The food is great, and the mimosas are on point. The staff were all super nice. Would recommend.
I absolutely love this little local place. The food is always delicious, the service is always great, and the way it is always... Well theres always a wait.
Cute Place but I got a chipotle chicken sandwich, it was under seasoned and the chicken was so dry. The bread was so tough, I couldnt even eat it. i had 2 rotten grapes in my fruit cup.
Super cute cafe / kitchen. Very inviting and friendly staff. Easy to access with parking in front or on the side. There is front door access with stairs or a side entrance that is wheelchair ramp accessible. The food quality is amazing, very fresh ingredients and lots of flavor. & most of the breakfast options here are served with fresh mixed fruit. I also was able to enjoy my time outside on the front porch where there was a super cute heater to keep me warm as I was here on a rainy day. Overall I would definitely come back to try other menu options. They play nice music that’s not too loud as well.**They also offer free WiFi.**
A great place to get coffee and a pastry! I havent really had the chance to try their dinner menu yet, but their breakfast is amply delicious, with sweet and savory options. And their pumpkin spice latte is the best Ive ever had.
What a fantastic place! A little bit off the beaten path, youll find it behind the Grace Heritage Center (the tall skinny white church.) Sweet Lemon is in a small house with plenty of seating outdoors and lots of signs directing you where to order (which is at the top of a ramp.) Once you order, theyll come find you. OR you can order & pay directly from your table with a QR code.I got the ABLT - avocado, bacon, lettuce, & tomato on sourdough - with the best lemonade Ive ever had. The sandwich was very good though if I were to be super picky, it would have been nice for the bread to be slightly softer (i.e. less toasted) and more generous on the veggies. The fruit was grapes and pineapple. The garden is beautiful - on the back/Church street side is a porch with seating, several picnic tables, a park with sculptures, and a beautiful camelia bush.
Great atmosphere, has outside patio. Love the lemon bar! Service was great also.
I came here on a day off to have a relaxing lunch and the experience started off well enough but the attentiveness of my server was completely lacking. I wasn’t in any rush but she didn’t bother checking in to see if I needed anything for my entire meal. 10 minutes went by where I couldn’t get her attention to ask her to refill my drink. I’ve seen so many great reviews about the friendliness of the staff but that was not my experience at all. Even when I told my server she’s a hard lady to flag down, she just looked at me. I may come back because the food was fine, but this place definitely wouldn’t be at the top of my list in the future.
Nice place pricey small portions for price. Staff friendly. Bread overly toasted.
Everything here is good. Literally everything. Just order something, you will love it.
The service was great, and the food and deserts are excellent..
Great little quaint place to spend a nice breakfast with your loved one. Definitely will visit this one again and again
Best lemonade around! Love going on Friday or Saturday night to have dinner and listen to the live music outside at Founders Park. I enjoyed the steak salad, it was a good portion for the price...and did I mention the lemonade?
Big salads with great taste. Music was mello and enjoyable at nice outdoor setting.
Quiche was amazing! Key lime pie was delicious! And... Blueberry muffins were out of this world! Also, awesome atmosphere. Staff was courteous and friendly!
Worth it! Skip the franchise restaurants for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. I ordered the steak, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich and, honestly, it was delectable and quite flavorful. I also ordered a regular coffee and 2 desserts - a chocolate chip cookie that reminded me of the ones my Grandma made and a strawberry filled vanilla buttercream cupcake. SLK is quaint, friendly, independent, and charming. Closed on Mondays! Go!
Always great food and wonderful atmosphere! It was a good day to sit outside!
Great food service and atmosphere! They have a great selection of pastries and they have breakfast all day on Saturday the also have a omelet bar or station And a live band on Saturday. Also use all natural products and the eggs are organic cage-free So go on and support this local business and appreciate what they provide for all of us.
The food was good, but the toast I got was a bit burned and my klobasnek I got was not warm as requested (although, I think it had been but was forgotten about as it came way later than the rest of our food). The staff was very nice but they were frazzled which caused our drinks to come out after the food (and after we asked). I will definitely be back, but maybe at a less busy time (visited on a Saturday morning at 9).Ive been in for coffee before and while the coffee is good, it always is a long wait for it as they are making it for in-house and to-go orders and theres usually only one person making the drinks.
Busy busy, but worth the wait. Went last night for drinks, and back again today for coffee and breakfast pastries
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was super delicious. I had the portobello goat cheese panini, and it was sweet, spicy, creamy, and crunchy all at the same time. Definitely recommend. Just dont go at the end of the day because they do run out of things.
The food was great! Our server was very nice. It was pretty busy, so it took awhile for us to get anything to drink, but I will definitely be going back again.
Wonderful food and a cozy atmosphere. I was too full from lunch to eat my dessert, so I got that to-go. The Mississippi mud pie is rich and delicious!
My daughter and I enjoyed a delicious brunch here. The staff was friendly and everything we got to eat was delicious. Love the cute atmosphere. Also, clean bathrooms!
Place was full. Took anout 15-20 min to get 2 drinks 2 pastries and an egg croissant . Plenty room to sit outside to enjoy our food and lots of shade
The food and ambience here is perfection! Our coffee tasted super yummy and so did the avocado toast. The decor is super cute and its the perfect breakfast spot.
I tried Sweet Lemon Kitchen for lunch on Friday and was impressed enough to come back for brunch on Saturday. The ingredients seem to be high-quality, although I wish it was a little more clear what specifically is organic, given a lot of dirty dozen items are on the menu.I highly recommend the lattes and the croissants. Everything we ate both days was delectable, so you cant go wrong!
I have frequented this place quite a bit and I made yesterday my last visit. Service can be a hit or miss. Steak in the steak croissant is usually tough. Overall taste of food and food presentation is average. Items missing off of menu. App menu had items that in-store menu does not. App menu is no longer in service. Some of the employees are passive aggressive towards one another. One employee in particular with green hair can be kind, until its time to tip. If you do not tip, she turns distant and cold. Some employees are always friendly while others are so-so. Beautifully designed restaurant, service and food is sub-par.
Overall, I had a great experience here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even brought a bowl of water for my friends dog!
Nice location/atmosphere and very friendly staff. Oh, an the food was good too. :-)
Staff was friendly so that is why i am giving 2 stars. I ended up placing a to-go order as no one waited on me for 10 /15 mins. Lots of employees inside. The crust on the quiche was like rock and could not eat it. They had to break it off of the pie peice to put it in the little to-go box at a angle - because you couldnt break it in two. Wondering why they didnt say hey, crust is not supposed to be like that. Had i been waited on there, i would have sent it back. I also had to ask for a receipt. The fruit was fresh.
New to the area. Terribly slow service. People who order after me have gotten served first (not pick up) and the overstaffed counter crew made coffee for themselves ahead of their customers.
It is a bit of a maze to find your way in, but it is beautifully landscaped and just a fun location....so a little exploring was a nice treat.A friendly regular quickly ascertained I was a bit lost and directed me to the correct entrance where I found a most delightful check out counter and smiling faces.Staff is super friendly...above and beyond smiles and helpful attitude. The decor is hip while also being nostalgic of times gone past. Although the shop seems dainty, the tables and chairs are sturdy and hold up well for even a large tall man. This is not just a girly place!Large selection of hot teas...yah!!I can not express enough how much I love love love they offer salads with breakfast. Leafy greens, oh my!!!This is a place that is truly welcoming to all ages and cravings.
American kitchen on a good way. They should change the menu, though. It is not clear that you can only get breakfast on the morning. Still no idea when their morning ends.
We drove to Georgetown specifically to try Sweet Lemon after hearing about it.When I tried to order we were told you stopped serving breakfast at 11. We had been waiting in line for 20+ mins and it was 11:15.Your website says you serve breakfast all day on Saturday.Next time well skip your restaurant and head to Monument. They serve breakfast all day.
Swell place with some real nice folks! And the dessert was AWESOME.
The first time I went they seated us in the pass-through betweens the kitchen and the dining room. There were three of us. Two of us got our meal at the same time. The third person got hers as we finished ours. The timing needs some work . The second time we went, the hostess told us to seat ourselves upstairs. As we were placing our order, someone else told us they were hosting an event and we needed to move. We went back downstairs where there was no table available. We went elsewhere. The staff has some timing and communication issues. Not sure we will be back a third time.
Delicious scone, dark roast was good too. Wife enjoyed the breakfast croissant.
We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was so busy but the service was diligent and the food was amazing! They handled the busy atmosphere so professionally and the delicious food was definitely worth the wait.
Beautiful place. Professional and very friendly staff and excellent food.
Didnt have much of a selection to order from and the food was just okay. The drinks we wanted werent available and the desserts werent very good. The place was very cute and inviting. Just wish the food matched the theme better.
Everything was delicious and everyone was so kind and sweet. The owner was a doll!! Food and service were excellent. 10 out of 10! A must when in Georgetown
Nice, quaint, little hidden gem in G-Town. They hooked us up with breakfast sammiches even though breakfast was over. Delicious Bacon, Egg & Cheese croissants with tomatoes and a small Mango juice to top it off. Very tasty! Would def come here again.
Cute decor, good fresh food, and friendly staff. The inside is small, but has pkenty of seating outside. Get here early as it is always busy.
This restaurant and café is a must if you visit historic Georgetown, Texas. Excellent food and drinks. We try to support this establishment at least once a week because they were a savior for our family during the beginning of the pandemic where they sold groceries, curbside, when there was a shortage in the stores. Thank you all to the Sweet Lemon Kitchen staff for making delicious food and drinks.
What an awesome place! Best food discovery Ive made in a while. I highly recommend you give them a chance. Everything tastes fresh, real, and amazing. Very nice people, and relaxed atmosphere. I will definitely be going back!
Cute place...using a gift card. Coffee excellent. Did not care so much for the pastries.
Fresh and nice. Service was good. Go early for Cinnamon Rolls 😋
We went for a leisurely lunch the day after election. Sat outside on the front porch. It was so serene and pleasant, a wonderful retreat from the craziness of the election. I had the chicken salad with lemon vinaigrette. It was delicious and served with gluten free crackers which was a bonus. The Arnie ( iced tea and freshly squeezed lemonade) was refreshing, also delicious. This is a Georgetown Gem and I plan to return many more times.
Well, I can say that I found a hidden gem, but this place is great! It used to be called the Sweet Lemon Inn & KItchen but it is no longer an Inn. The breakfast was great, the coffee okay but what really sets this place apart is the atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and the interior sitting area and outdoor sitting area was wonderful. It was a great June morning with temperature right around 80 degrees. Sitting under a tree with some shade and a nice cool breeze blowing, OMG!! This is Texas so it wont always be this nice, but if find yourself in Georgetown on a great weather day, stop by for some coffee and pastries. The croissant sandwich wasnt bad either. Several people in front of me and after I ordered were getting the Avocado toast so I may have to try that next
Very good food and excellent service. Coffee is amazing.
Great food, great atmosphere. Just wish they didnt run out of food so early in the morning.
Food was great but they were short handed. Nice outside seating area.
Food was great! Not enough help for as busy as they were. We will sit outside next time. Way too noisy for inside.
Both food and service were great, definitely will be back
Great spot in town!!! Had the Quiche Lorraine, was fantastic and had a great taste, crust was done right. Also props to the chef, most places do not use enough salt in their cooking, i am glad they do here. Also had the bacon egg croissant, holy smokes!!! One of the best pastries i have ever had. Lots of layers, buttery, soft, and a great crisp on the out side. The crumb was spot on.
Great place to relax and listen to music 🎵🎶 very Sweet Gals
Food is tasty and its a really cute place. Usually crowded during lunch time so if you want a quieter time go just before or just after. The employees are friendly and helpful with recommendations. The desserts are delicious so save room! 4 stars because its tough to move around and get in and out when its busy.
Adorable! Fair priced menu but try not to go during High Peak, it does get super busy!
Sweet Lemon is a go-to for our family. I order knowing that the ingredients are quality and that the items are made to order! I love that they source much of their ingredients locally! The atmosphere inside is quaint and adorably decorated, keeping much of the buildings historic charm and accentuating it. Outside, my kids love to play in the courtyard so its perfect to grab coffee with a friend for a playdate and set up camp outside!
Had lunch here last Sunday with a friend to kick off a girls trip to Georgetown to escape the big city hustle and bustle. Loved everything about Sweet Lemon Kitchen (now open with indoor seating). The chicken salad was some of the best Ive ever had. I really appreciate the gluten free options, including the GF white chocolate cranberry cookie which was delish and the GF crackers served with my chicken salad (I would love to know the brand of crackers they serve). I also had a spring green salad with a lemon vinaigrette that was so good I bought a bottle of the salad dressing to take home! We will be back!
First thing: if a restaurant is going to have the audacity to charge for tap water, you should at least have the descentcy to both advertise and inform the customer of it. Second, do not announce a tip option to the customer. You kindly turn the screen around and give them the privacy to choose without pressure. How tacky. I have given this place two chances. Its food is just fine. Literally, fine. Nothing special in the least. I wouldnt recommend wasting your money here. There are far better places with better prices and quality.
Super cute place - we had dessert (cheesecake with lemon curd) and drinks and sat outside listening to a live band play. Great atmosphere, yummy food and drinks!
