Ordered a tiramisu and a Caramell Frappuccino. Excellent customer service very friendly atmosphere right next to a library but kind of inside as well. Love this place.

Kind owner, but in the process of closing for good. Couldnt extend a reduced cost lease, and on 25% max capacity, the business wasnt sustainable.

Watched the owner ring up a customer then go to the fridge pull out English muffin and bagel. She then proceeded to slice both and toast both (no gloves, never washed her hands) the owner then waited on the next customer who paid cash. With out gloves or washing her hands the owner prepared the toasted breads and handed them to the waiting customer.

For those of you interested, know this place is in the library and is only open during library hours, so dont expect to arrive to early or late. They had some delicious looking baked good and a large coffee selection. My chai drink was quite good and my girlfriend enjoyed her lavender latte. I also had a peanut butter cup cookie, which was obviously amazing.

Yes it is inside the library! Run by a wonderful woman. They have amazing food and drinks and great service. I love coming here. My recommendation is the lavender latte and chicken salad sandwich! Also their flavored iced teas change all the time and they use fresh ingredients grown right outside on their lovely little patio with a relaxing fountain. Also the library is dog friendly :)

Everything was delicious! Even the tomato basil soup (which fell short of the spectacular tastiness of other menu items) was still very good. The hand-painted tables and kitty cat tea tray were nice touches too. :)

Most amazing coffee I have ever had!! Nothing compares not even the big named coffee joints. No joke! I highly reccommend checking them out.

I brought my wife here because of the gluten free food options. Its also attached to the library, so that offers a good opportunity as well. They were friendly and helpful with many interesting foods and coffees to try. We will be going back.

Super-friendly staff and great tea offerings. The personnel are knowledgeable regarding their offerings, and make practically all food from scratch. Fantastic for gluten-free friends as well. Overall, this is a huge bonus to the library, and worth going out of your way if youre looking for a quiet place to work or have a meeting. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Good options for kids too, and the parents here seem mindful of their noise level. Every library should be this good. Must try: potato salad (with kalmata olives), the pita pizza, and any of their truffles!

Great location, being part of the Georgetown public library. Food and coffee are very high quality and modestly priced. Would come here again

I waited several minutes at the counter. A man walked up. The counterperson hustled to wait on him, ignored me, and rushed awayI waited some more and sat back down. When someone finally came to the counter, I asked for a glass for water. I dont spend money where I am ignored, esp. In favor of a man

The best iced mocha Ive ever had! Creamy, but not too rich. Perfectly sweetened. Thanks for the summer heat pick-me-up!

I would be ok with the bad service if the coffee was halfway decent, however, both were bad. Instead of microfoam, my cappuccino had huge macrofoam that I could literally pop like bubble wrap. I don’t blame the owner for the poor service, but I do blame her for buying bad coffee.

The Cappuccino and latte were fine, but strongly disliked the service. The lady (barista) working wasnt super friendly to begin with, but when one of our drinks which didnt have its lid secured when we got it dropped off was hit it spilled everywhere. That was unfortunate, but we struggled to fine the napkins (everything, including utensils, was hidden - not sure why). The barista was saw us spill it (no one else was there), but didnt check on us until I mentioned my finger got burned. She was nice enough to provide some homemade beeswax. But that was it. She didnt help clean, didnt offer to provide another drink to replan the one we hadnt even had a chance to try, or any other help. It was my fault that the cup was knocked over, but even Starbucks would have given another drink it refill if they saw that. This lady was too busy on her phone the entire time. My wife and I discussed the fact we had been completely ignored, and she decided to go and ask to have that latte refilled/replaced. After getting her attention away from the phone, instead of saying no problem, she instead got defensive about the lid being on, and lectured my wife as she made another front. Seriously wished we would have gone to nearby Cianfrani or even Starbucks for our pitstop in Georgetown. No idea how this place has such good ratings, especially if this employee in question is one of the regulars. Skip the Red Poppy in Georgetown. 3 star coffee, 0 star service.

I have been buying coffee from here regularly and it is always good. Recently, bought my husband a basil tomato soup and panini because he was still hungry, and we almost fought over the soup (exaggeration) because it was so good. As a vegetarian, the only think I bought him I could partake in. Very delicious. He really enjoyed his panini and ate every crumb. I used to buy the tira misu here every time I could but they dont seem to carry it anymore. Again, very delicious is the theme for this place. The fact that the library lets you eat at their dining tables while reading books makes this place even more perfect.
