We came in to look at a futon for my son. The futon was there, but it was too big for the space we have. The salesman, Ron was great. He helped us so much we couldnt imagine going back to the other high pressure mattress stores we had been to earlier in the day. His mattress has been great. He got the mattress delivered super quick. My son says its his best rest ever. If you are looking for a new mattress I would highly recommend American Mattress in Geneva. You walk into the store and it is so nice and clean and the employees are very helpful, not pushy. Mike helped my husband and I pick the perfect mattress all while respecting our budget. We had our two small kids with us and both Mike and Ron were so nice to the two of them as well as to my husband and myself. We were even able to get our new mattress delivered the next day! This is THE place to go for a mattress. Ron is great at guiding you through the purchase, without overwhelming you with too many choices and technical jargon. Ron also is understanding of your budget and helps to narrow the choices down so you arent wasting time on options you wouldnt actually consider. The delivery team is also great, they wore booties in my home, which is new construction so that was greatly appreciated. 2 of the beds were on the 3rd floor, so they got a workout, but did great. I cannot express enough gratitude for Ron being the best salesman Ive ever come in contact with. When both my fiancé and I walked in, he not only welcomed us in the store while he was working with another couple but would come over and check on us from time to time. If we had questions, he quickly had the answers and overall felt like the right person to purchase a bed from. The showroom is well kept and not cluttered. Very good selection of mattresses to try. Talked to Rick while we were there and was not pushy in any way, as we really were just looking. Worked with my wife and I to select the best mattress for our sleep needs. We went to a competitor up the road, but ended up returning within an hour to buy from this location (liked the selection, American Mattress locally-owned story and that they were not a giant, foreign-owned company like their big competitor you see on almost every corner and stripmall). Rick was very fair with us on the price for mattress, cover and pillows we bought. Delivery was quick and Rick worked to try and fit it in my busy travel schedule. Mattress was heavy but the delivery crew got it upstairs and around the landing without damage.

I purchased a $3,000 mattress with a 20 yr warranty from them after testing many from other stores, after 4 months it started to sag so after 6 months and my back started to hurt! I called AM and was told THAT I would have to pay $100 to an independent mattress testing company to check it ! They came out and said it wasn’t bad enough to replace so after ONE YEAR and multiple spins I called again same BS story YOU the customer has to pay ! I am gonna throw it out ! WORST EXPERIENCE considering the mattress it replaced was $2000 Vera Wang and lasted 12yrs and was in better shape than ..this one is in now !!! Warranty is Useless! BTW I weigh 180lbs and like Semi Firm type!

Nov 18, 2017Upon entering American Mattress in Geneva I was greeted promptly by a salesperson (Rick) who was able to listen to what it was I need and guide me quickly to a product that fit my need perfectly. All I needed was a guest bedroom mattress and frame, no frills. The salesperson did not try to influence my need and oversell me what I came in looking for. He showed me some options and I left to mull over my options. I had visited two other mattress sellers before entering American Mattress. In the end I decided on American Mattress as it is a smaller more local company than their competitors in our local area yet they can still compete on price.

We were not looking forward to mattress shopping. But, Ron Tabel made it easy. He was as very helpful without being annoying. Our mattress was delivered exactly as expected. We would not hesitate to recommend this store!

This would be 5 stars if not for the haggling and pressure tactics they do - just give your final price upfront. They also didnt even ask what height box spring, and I had to later change the order after realizing this. After purchasing they were able to deliver the new mattress/box and haul away the old one within a day or two. No issues with delivery and pickup.

I went in looking to replace my king size mattress and box spring. I spoke with Rick Frillman - he was extremely nice and very approachable. I feel like I got a great deal on a new mattress and an adjustable base. I would be happy to buy another mattress from him in the future. We werent necessarily looking forward to mattress shopping due to the huge variety of options, but Richard made it so easy and stress free. He asked us a few questions right from the start and from there was able to narrow down on a few mattresses that he thought we would like. We were able to find one we loved in under an hour. Richard was so helpful and professional and it was very apparent that he cares about his community.
