Craig Ballard was great to deal with. He worked very hard to get me an amazing deal. The Sales and Finance Manager were also easy to work with. The vehicle I wanted was 50+ days out but the team worked to get me a great value for my trade and locked in my deal with a very reasonable deposit. No markups past sticker price like some others are doing. These folks wanted the business and wanted to treat me fairly as a customer. I have purchased lots of cars and this was one of the quickest and most efficient purchases I’ve made. They have converted me into a Toyota buyer and I’ll definitely be back.

I live in Mississippi and was recently traveling in North Carolina to attend my granddaughters wedding. My 2019 Toyota RAV4 stalled while driving and required towing to Toyota of Gastonia. Among the BEST Service I have received from a Dealership! I dont say this lightly either. I was on my way to a wedding 1000miles from here and my prius threw the master light. I scanned with my OBDII and found the problem. I had them run diagnostics anyway to be certain. The cost was very reasonable, and Jessie handled my case front to back. He was very professional and accommodating. He was completely understanding about my scenario, fast tracked my diagnosis and I was out of there with the part I needed in about an hour. I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of service, I may go out of my way and drive the 80 miles from my home just to deal with them directly from now on. My 2006 Prius just hit 200K and is still running incredibly strong. We always had a great time here getting our cars inspected here. But this last time, unfortunately, they chose the wrong people. My son works on cars for a living, so we are just getting the cars inspected, nothing more. Then they tell us our five year old Toyota with under ten thousand miles has worn out brakes that need replaced. Apparently you really didnt check the car and we know better. Trying to make a quick buck, you picked the wrong family and the wrong car. We have used you for 10 years to get the Toyota cars we have owned inspected. Please dont try to sell us something that is not needed.

I rack up 500+ miles a week so normally just find a reliable used car. So I went in looking to trade in a used car for another used car but after looking at the numbers It was only $60/month more than what I had been spending to move to a brand new hybrid Corolla with maintenance included for 60k miles and a 150k mile warranty. This was in January before gas prices spiked so its even less than that $60 number I determined back then. So its worry free driving for the next few years for me!!!If you want the sweetest deals just ask for Candy. She will take care of you. Seriously

Terrible place to buy and have service done on your car.. they seem very nice but they are just trying to get you out the door with your car running until it breaks down a couple months later then they fix it again and the same thing keeps happening. Save yourself the time and go to Scott Clark Toyota.

I had a service coupon for an oil change and the coupon was going to expire in two days. I called and spoke to Alexa in service and she let me know that they could take me immediately and that I should not have a very long wait. I was able to get to the dealership in less than 20 minutes. Mark checked me in immediately and my total wait time was no more than 30 minutes for the oil and filter change and tire rotation. Great price! Great service! Timely done!

I just purchased a certified pre-owned vehicle here for my company and was really impressed. I found the vehicle on car guru and sent an inquiry message after hours. Dalton responded within minutes! I had sent 3 inquiries to 3 different dealerships one dealer I heard back from the next morning and another I never heard back from! Dalton communicated really well and seemed to always be available when I needed him even though I knew he was selling a bunch of other cars. I bought the car sight unseen and when my bank financing took longer than expected, he allowed me to put a deposit down to drive off with the car. In person, hes a great guy to talk to and made the transaction really seamless. I found one small issue with the vehicle and within 10 minutes he had it back in the shop and it was fixed! The finance team was on point and I was in and out pretty quickly considering I had outside financing. Keep up the great work over there. Ill be back and hope Dalton is there when I return!

I had a great experience here. I bought a 2021 4runner and brought it here to get a 3 lift, tires and rock rails. Mr. Spike in parts was super nice, he answered all my questions (I had a lot of questions) and got all the parts asap. Spike also set me up with a service appointment on the day and time I needed. He was great! Once I got to service Jim took over. The great service continued with Jim. He had the technicians ready to work on my 4runner as soon as I got there, he was great. The technicians also did a wonderful job, they worked there butts off to get it done in one day and they did an awesome job. My 4runner look great, the job was done right and I would recommend any one looking to lift their 4runner bring it here.

This was my second vehicle that I’ve purchased from Toyota of Gastonia. I’m in the auto industry so I know the ropes and how things work. Usually when you tell a sales person that, they either stop responding, or you just get minimal service. This is not the case with Helen Scott. I originally inquired online, and then we switched to text messaging. We went back and forth over the course of a few weeks, to find the exact vehicle I was looking for, and at the right price. She addressed every concern, answered every question, and did it with a smile. I changed my mind a few times, and she remained patient with me through the whole process. I came in, and picked out a new Tacoma, but it hadn’t been delivered to the store yet. I had a trip to Mexico planned, so I said I’d come and get it once I returned. While on my trip, I got a message saying my new truck had arrived and would be waiting for me when I returned, which was exciting!Overall, Helen did an amazing job, and I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a new or used Toyota or Mazda!!

I had my DODGE truck overheat and pulled into the garage in hopes of cooling the radiator down and filling it. It was 5pm...closing time. I walked in and and asked a nice mechanic about 50 yrs old if he would let me use the water hose. He came right out and helped me...cooled the truck down and told me to get up the road to the Dodge dealership as my radiator cap was blown off and he did not have anything Dodge to replace it with.I did make it and finally got home safely. If I buy another SUV, I will be starting at that Toyota Dealership.

Don’t ever take a brand new car here (literally 2021 with 400 miles on it) to get serviced if anything goes wrong on it. They’ll tell you what’s wrong with it before they even see the car, and again I’m mean literally told me what was going to be wrong with it before it was even seen. And not just a general idea, VERY specific and never once offered to let me see any damage. And then told me it wasn’t covered under warranty and told me the noise I was hearing coming from my car was normal! I came here because it’s closer to my house but never again will that happen. Hickory Toyota is the only place I’ll ever go again and they fixed my car under warranty.

After taking my future stepsons vehicle there, I was very disappointed by the mechanics claim that he damaged a part that then had to be replaced. However, when looking at him, it is VERY obvious, that it isnt possible he could have caused the damage because he could barely lift the tool to take the tire off. THEN, when he took the vehicle back for a noise under the hood, they were unable to find the warranty that was purchased. However, when another Toyota location was called, they were able to go into the system and locate the warranty quite easily within minutes! I asked the other dealership if it was possible for the other dealership to locate the warranty, they stated it was a matter of getting on a computer. The Gastonia location just didnt want to waste the time to do it thinking we wouldnt be smart enough to find the warranty ourselves. I dont trust them with the maintenance and service of vehicles here. I believe (and have seen) that at least twice they have caused damage, and blamed it on the driver. No, it doesnt always happen, but I would be questioning ALL service and request a DETAILED summary of what was done to your vehicle.

Do NOT finance a vehicle with them. They add extra things to your contract without consent, so they can end up earning more money and commission. They do not care for their customers and never answer. They tricked me into thinking they canceled an insurance that THEY PUT WITHOUT MY CONSENT, just for me to find out months later that they never submitted my request. Save yourself some money and time and go to another place.

My son has been thinking about buying a new Toyota Tacoma. Yesterday, he asked if we could go look today. Toyota of Gastonia was my first choice. We almost bought a vehicle from them a few years ago but they did not have the right color. We bought the vehicle from another dealer but we always have it serviced at Toyota of Gastonia.In addition, Toyota of Gastonia has been running a Facebook Ad stating Employee Pricing if you Order a Vehicle with them. With the vehicle shortage most dealers dont have many vehicles plus most are not offering too many deals so I thought this was the place to go.When we arrive we saw one Toyota Tacoma Off Road Truck parked under the awning. It was the color he wanted and had the package he wanted plus more. I advised him it was probably sold.A Short time later a sale person came out and advised the truck was ordered for an individual and the individual backed out of the sale because it did not have a off road camera feature. He also advised someone else was looking at the truck but it has not been sold yet.I asked for their best price and they came back with $601.00 below MSRP. I told him about the Facebook Ad and that my son was in no hurry that we could just order one at Employee Pricing. He advised he was not aware of the Ad and advised he didnt know why they could honor the pricing on the vehicle they had in stock. He went to speak to the sale manager.He came back questioning their Ad. I tried to find the Ad but I could not get it to show in my feed. Finally, we were told the AD only applies to certain models. After that they refused to talk to us about ordering a vehicle.One of the sale managers came by and advised they would go $500 lower on the current truck. The sale manager asked me to make an offer and I made what I felt was a fair offer. He said no and made no counter offer. Which was fine.This is not why I am giving them a bad review. The reason for the bad review is they failed to honor their own advertisement. I have attached the Ad for everyone to see. There are no disclaimers and the Ad features a Toyota Tacoma.It has been along time since I felt that uneasy feeling....like the dealer is being shady. I felt that today at Toyota of Gastonia.

We bought a used car with Toyota of Gastonia. The experience until the buying was good, along the lines of what one would expect (takes a while to get all paperwork together and a bit of moving around, but easy enough). Even the salesman was great - super accommodating and went above and beyond.The bad score for this review comes from the paperwork. Honestly, it felt like we were annoying them by buying the car and trying to understand the financial part of it. We had a car loan lined up with a bank (BOA) and the dealership screwed up the paperwork and we had to deal with the bank to fix their issue. We received no support or explanations from Toyota of Gastonia.For a company whose sole purpose is to sell cars, its unacceptable that they cant do proper paperwork with one of the biggest banks of the country, or even help their buyers with their questions so it doesnt feel that theyre scamming you.

The used car manager, Anthony, took excellent care of us. (Nick was a very nice salesman too) After buying a used car, there was an issue with the back latch. He fixed the issue, no questions asked and replaced what was damaged. They even picked up the car, gave us a loaner and brought back our car when it was completed and we live 40 min away! Good customer service goes a long way. We are very grateful!

Pleasant staff and comfortable and safe waiting area. It would help if the paperwork that is given to the customer had more specific information on it. All it said was performed 5K service and Toyota care synthetic 5K. Were the tires rotated? I am pretty sure the oil was not changed, but when it is changed, listing the exact name and specs of the oil used would be helpful to the owner. Again, the service technician was very pleasant and listened to my questions.

I would highly recommend this dealership and am very impressed by the customer service offered by salesman, Maxwell G. We didnt end up purchasing the car as someone beat us to it before we could come in from out of town, but, Maxwell was responsive, professional and attentive from the very beginning. He was always there to answer any of our queries and made sure our process was stress and hassle free. He built a great rapport with us, making us feel like we could trust the dealership as a whole. If they had the exact same vehicle with exact specs as the one we were interested in, we would not think twice about purchasing from this dealership!

Bought a used 2013 Mercedes, in very good physical condition. I asked if there were any issues with the vehicle that I needed to be made aware of. I was told when they ran a code scan it needed to have a recall taken care of. No big deal.I took it to a Mercedes dealership to get the recall taken care of. They said there was an $1800 repair that needed to be taken care of that any $50 home code scanner could have found. After communicating with my sales person I was told the used car sales manager would be contacting me. After three subsequent attempts to make contact, I have given up. I will not do business at this dealership and will not send any this way.

I had a great buying experience at this dealership last week. My salesman was Ricardo and he did everything he said he would do. I am out of town and we made the deal over the internet after going back and forth on price they meet me at my offer. One day later I went and picked up the vehicle and signed the paperwork and was on my way in less than one hour. Ricardo had the vehicle clean and ready to go. They did a standard oil change Wednesday on our 2020 RAV4. By Friday morning, we noticed a 10 inch puddle of oil in our garage(leak). Took the rest of the day off so we could return to the location to have it fixed. When we returned home, the engine was smoking so we opened the hood only to find they forgot to put the oil cap back on. The engine was covered with oil! We returned to Toyota again to show them, have the engine cleaned and replenish the oil. While showing the service manager the issue, we noticed a small wrench had been left under the hood. Smh. She was embarrassed. Following the cleaning, the manager had us inspect under the hood and you wouldn’t believe it...the wrench was still there. It was our mistake for returning to this location after a previous issue. Wont make that mistake again.

Terrible, unprofessional sales person. Gentleman on the floor helped through most of the process however when the sales manager comes out, body language slumped in chair. Waiving arms all over, gave me a quote higher than than what he said verbally in written. Asked him for a copy gave me a different number.I came back to speak to financial because the numbers weren’t the same and they told me I actually qualified for about 1% less interest rate.While this is all happening they left my vehicle locked up in the shop after doing the trade evaluation. It was Saturday had to wait till Monday to get the vehicle.I’m sure others with different last names receive different treatment. I am a returning customer. Going forward I will take my business elsewhere.

UPDATE: After meeting with Toyota of Gastonias Service Manager, a deal was made and I ended up trading in my Tacoma for a Tundra. Although my Tacoma had some serious mechanical issues, Toyota of Gastonia made things right with a more than fair trade-in value and gave me peace of mind with additional warranties for my pre-owned Tundra. Toyota of Gastonia had my truck for six weeks for a transmission leak. After two repair attempts, it still leaks. I picked the truck up four days ago and was assured it was safe to drive while they negotiated with the extended warranty company to replace the transmission. As seen in the picture, my drive shaft released as I was driving down the road with my family. Completely unacceptable!

I will never buy another vehicle from Toyota of Gastonia. I purchased an extra warranty, and they were supposed to be topping of the fluids every six months for five years or fifty thousand miles. My husband checked it and the washer fluid was empty., the brake fluid was low, he said it hadnt been added to since the factory. Twice the washer fluid froze. When I ask them about it, they said I could bring my own if I didnt want theirs. Service department is horrible.

Had my 2012 Prius serviced today and it was such a good experience. Everyone in the service department I spoke with was very nice. Everyone was socially distanced and wearing masks. Kim, the service manager, was very helpful and explained all the work. Customer for life

Great car buying experience. A week after buying my new truck I made a horrible mistake installing an accessory myself and damaged something pretty important to the operation of the truck. I took it back to the dealer and they got the part ordered and I was back on the road in less that 24hrs. Car rentals were on the lot and was extremely quick, easy and reasonably priced. They made my little boo boo as painless and possible.

Service Rep Dan was fantastic and went over and above to handle concerns with the initial inspection and repair recommendations. He setup a meeting with a Master Mechanic (sorry cant remember his name) to review findings. The Master Mechanic listened to our concerns and we came up with a mutual solution. Brought SUV back to have repaired, appears to have addressed the problem.Dans attention and customer approach convinced me to bring my other vehicles to Toyota Gastonia in the future.Previously, I stopped coming to Toyota of Gastonia due to extremely poor customer service. Rude, no two way conversation and gave the sense that they didnt care if you did or didnt come back. So I didnt for a long time. It appears (at least in Dans case) customer service has improved.
