Had a great experience buying a preowned car for my daughter, who needed a reliable vehicle as she heads off for her first year of college in Alabama. Carlos took great care of us. The vehicle we purchased was offered at a fair price and we received a reasonable offer for our trade without haggling. Everyone we encountered was very courteous and helpful. I was especially impressed and grateful for the interest taken in my daughter regarding her college plans, her major and her interests. She felt like a very important customer throughout the process. Very unhappy with my post sale service. I bought a 2016 Ford Explorer w/ 74k miles from here. The car was looking good but I very quickly started having issues after driving for A DAY! First the battery died while I was at work, then I noticed my second key didn’t work, also the cig lighter on the first row didn’t work either, and last but not least my rear passenger door wouldn’t open using the buttons only manually by pulling the lock up. So I called and asked for a few minor touch ups. 1. Car battery 2. Key fob battery. 3. Fuse for cig lighter. 4. Fix lock on the rear door. Before you think to yourself these things are no big deal. Consider they have a very high dealer fee of $899

My father in law died, so my husband and I started the road trip from SC to MD. Around Gastonia my 2013 Jeep Patriot began to run slow. We stopped for the night at a hotel and the next morning we called the service department, and towed our car to Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram for service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door with condolences for our loss as they quickly did diagnostics. Within a couple of hours we were back on the road safely. Their kindness and quick service will forever be remembered and they will have a customer for life.

This was one of the best dealerships I have ever been to. My sales person Kaleb McCaslin was amazing. He listened to me and my wants and needs. The next thing I knew I was driving off in the vehicle that I wanted. The finance guy James McElroy was amazing as well. They really are the best. I would not recommend buying a car from there even though we got a good deal. The salesperson was great to work with but the finance manger told us the warranty we added was a different price than what it actually was and they werent willing to make it right. Never been spoken to so rudely before especially by Jason in Sales Management.

Charging a $899 doc fee and another $450 title “processing” fee (even when you are transferring your own plate) is robbery and way above local industry standards (traditionally $699 in this area.) It’s just another BS money grab from dealerships using the chip shortage to their advantage. Q3 2021 the average new car monthly payment is $614. Unscrupulous dealership tactics like this coupled with inflation is why new cars will be priced out of reach for many Americans.

I went in for service on my Jeep Compass today and had a wonderful experience! Deborah was very helpful and let me know what would take place and how much it would cost (which was very reasonable). I was out of there in less than 2 hours which is very good compared to other places I have had service. I just wanted to let everyone know how happy I am with this service center, they took care of my Jeep, didnt take forever and let me know what was going on. This place is THE LAST PLACE YOU WANT TO BUY A CAR FROM. They sold me a extended warranty but didn’t fill out the paper work right so the warranty company denied my claim . NOW. I HAVE TO PAY $5600 to fix my truck. When all I should be paying is the $100 DEDUCTIBLE. THEIR ANSWER TO FIX THE PROBLEM IS TO CACEL MY WARRANTY AND REFUND THE MONEY TO THE LEIN HOLDER. WHICH DOSENT HELP ME FIX MY TRUCK . And I would not have a warranty anymore. THIS PLACE DOSENT WANT TO OWN UP TO THEIR OWN MISTAKES . STAY FAR AWAY from this place . Gerald Morrison was our sales associate. I first arrived to look at a 2021 Jeep Renegade I had viewed online. I had briefly discussed this vehicle with Gerald over the phone and set up an appointment with him. Between my arrival for our appointment and first viewing the 2021 Jeep on line I continued to shop their inventory online. I found a 2020 Jeep Renegade with more amenities and 4wd for less money after rebates. When I arrived at the dealership I mentioned this to Gerald and he jumped into action. He looked up the vehicle and took me out to look at it and test drive it. Gerald made no effort to steer or pressure me into buying the more expensive newer model. He was very accommodating to my needs and budget. As a single mother of two teenagers, budget is greatly important. They gave me a great deal on my trade in and made the buying process almost effortless. All my anxieties were understood and all my questions were fully answered. I highly recommend this dealership and especially Gerald for your next buying experience.

This would be a 3 star review if it werent for the parts department staff. I come here often for parts. The parts guys are helpful and friendly. They know their stuff fairly well. The main issue is they need to address the parking and customer access through the entire facility. You can never maneuver in this parking lot. There are cars everywhere, and I mean everywhere, including the supposed marked lanes. And the rear bay is always clogged up double and quadruple wide with cars so you cant pull through. So you have to back up, go back around the 50 or so poorly parked cars you nearly side wiped to nearly be caught in a head on collision by another customer trying to find a parking spot. They are going to have to get a handle on the parking and sales lot or someone is either going to plow into a car for sale, another customers car, or God forbid, a person.

Absolutely the worst post sales/business office service we have ever experienced. 13 calls, left messages (name and number), and voicemails later (over two months) with no return calls from Claudia and others, run around, leadership always “in a meeting can I take your name and number or transfer you” each time we called no matter the time of day, and 2 months after purchase, we still have not received our transferred veteran registration tags, which have now expired during their lack of responsiveness and follow through on a business closing transaction. It took us escalating this to corporate and the owner ofthe dealership to get anyone there to actually move and do some work on this. THIS IS HOW THEY TREAT VETERANS AS WELL? I would not recommend this dealership for any reason. Whether you see something you like and are out of state, keep looking and find it elsewhere. The post experience alone is enough to make you regret ever doing a deal.

I bought a 2017 Challenger R/T Scat Pack on 6/15/17 and had a great, easy-going car buying experience. I worked with Brad Smith and would recommend him to anyone! Ill be the first to admit how indecisive I am, and he was very patient with me and not pushy at all. He was easy to negotiate with and made sure to get me at a payment Im comfortable with. Contacted dealership about trading both my wifes and my vehicles. Started the process with the salesman. We were communicating through text. After a day he completely cut all communications!! Called the dealership directly to contact the salesman. Was told he would contact me shortly. That was 2 days ago!! Bad thing is I have purchased one of the vehicles being traded from the salesman originally. Its a shame. They could have made a sell on 2 vehicles if they would have returned a call or text. Not a good experience at all the second time around.

I gave them my car in good faith knowing i wud return toget my car stained inside like a partyThere was stickeyness all over my front window inside the car stains all over the doors and after that they scratched up my car and instead of taking responsibility they denie the damage saying i did it. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and 45 minutes later they came out and said they wrecked my vehicle and had to send it across the street at Ford Tyndall to get it repaired and now its going to show up on Carfax and the value of the vehicle is not going to be the same. They gave me a loaner car until they had it fixed but I do not want a wrecked car back and knowing that it has been wrecked just turns my stomach. And I want to see what they going to do to make things right but I talk with a lady yesterday and she seemed like she could care less about it.

Excellent Sales(Mark), Finance(Devin) and Management(Craig) departments! I researched the vehicle I wanted for about two weeks online and local and then I came in contact with Mark. I flew in from Ft Lauderdale to this dealership because of his attentiveness, professionalism and price! Upon arrival to the dealership Mark picked me up at the airport in the vehicle I wanted for me to test drive it back. It had a few more miles than I expected so Craig in management gave me an additional discount. Mark went over all of the features and advised me that if I had and additional questions I could call him on his cell. On his day off I called not knowing he was off he happily assisted me. Devin in the finance department was meticulous with the details of the contract and offered me only those items that would be beneficial to me since Im from out of state. In addition he explained financial insights i was not aware of. Besides he mentioned an Italian restaurant I should visit! All in all this was the BEST EXPERIENCE Ive ever had with a dealership and I have owned six new cars including this one and have helped multiple family and friends buy! Thank you to Jay and Mrs Foxx! Had some issues with the warranty company that I paid 2k for an extended warranty, bumper to bumper. BOTH TIMES Ive needed them in the past 3 months they have honored the warranty AFTER they were told it expired in May 2020 (My paperwork shows 100k/2025, whichever comes first). 2 Stars for pricing.This dealer is closest to my workplace so I went there to get a quote on fixing a cooling issue with my car. The price quoted for the work was over $1500. I went to an authorized Chrysler dealer in Charlotte, and got the same exact work done with new parts for less than half the price. I still had to pay a $150 diagnostic fee at the first location.

I was in the market of buying new Rubicon with exact set of packages, found the car online at Gastonia Jeep dealership. Sent availability request. Sales representative Mike Gomez contacted me quick on Independence day weekend. Answered all my questions via email. We had a done deal on Monday with all paperwork prepared. I only had to go there to sign papers. Im from Pennsylvania got my round-trip tickets for same day return. Mike met me at the airport and gave me a ride back. Dealership is only 20 minutes away from airport. Mike and his colleague James McElroy from finance department didnt waste any time. Closed the deal in less than 1 hour, so I would not miss my flight. I hired transportation company to bring my Jeep home. Didnt expect it will be so easy to buy a car via email.This dealership have big selection of Wranglers all different trim, no wonder they have a lot of out of state buyers.

Ive had several warranty issues with a Dodge truck I purchased from Gastonia Ram, and the service has been sketchy at best. Certainly, they havent handled each problem equally or fully. Some of the issues Ive had give me the impression that this service department/Dealership does not have the greatest integrity (example: the dealership put 200 miles on my truck, never gave me an explanation, didnt find the problem, and acted shocked when I found out, because they didnt bother to replace the fuel). This is my first time writing a bad review for a business, and I feel guilty doing it... but I actually feel very provoked by certain people in the service department, by their lack of empathy, the lack of general personal conversational techniques (by some), and the lack of trust theyve fostered by the way my numerous issues were handled. I feel like I acted out of character the last time I spoke with their service department, but I also feel like with the service record I have there (some lacking because Im not sure it was documented) should have warranted a much more sympathetic and gentle response. Everybody has a bad day... but I can no longer let Gastonia Dodge have influence on my days, since they seem to highlight and or amplify the negative feelings I have towards them. Im attempting to bring my truck to Lake Norman Dodge now, so I dont have to deal with Gastonia.

Once again, the crooks at Gastonia Dodge strike again. When we purchased our vehicle from the N.C. we purchased the extended warranty that covered “everything” from bumper to bumper...or so we thought. The check engine light came on in our vehicle so we took it in to be checked out. Turns out that there was a magical system update that is also magically not covered by a bumper to bumper warranty. I guess the system update is outside of the car since it isn’t located between the front and rear bumpers. Moral of the story, but a car and nothing else because they will lie to your face to get a few extra dollars.

Purchased a 2018 Ram 1500 and everyone was great. Come to find out that we made a verbal a great that I would purchase running boards and they would install at no charge. A few months later I was told when I called back to have it done the sales person said it was to late. It needed to be done then. Crazy. Get things in writing. They do not honor what they agreed too. Love my Ram truck but will not purchase my next one from there!!

I received service from this dealership on 04/20/20. Jay, my service advisor, was extremely professional, helpful, and treated me with the utmost respect. He went out of his way to make sure all service repairs were done in a timely fashion, and let me use a courtesy vehicle while those repairs were being performed. Although I stopped going to this service years ago due to a not so good experience in the past, I gave them another shot. They exceeded my expectations and they have earned my business back. I can only speak to the service department. A couple months ago. My Chrysler 200 the Battery died and one of the connectors was shot. They had my car fixed the next day. It is always more expensive at the dealership though. And it sometimes takes a while to get out. Because of how busy they are. But they have free soda and snacks while you wait. Which is nice.

The car buying process should never make you feel dirty or outsmarted. Sure its a business and the dealership has to make money, but still dress that up so I feel great about the deal lol. Thats the reason I like coming to Gastonia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I sold them a car, purchased a car, and the salesmen Eddie Gomez is just A+++!! I remembered that so when a close friend of mines car broke down on him on a rainy saturday and he had just started a new job and was not sure how he would get to work that Monday; I texted Eddie and he connected with his boss Jason, and BOOM a few minutes later the deal was done. They had worked with him in the past and the numbers just didnt make sense but this time Jason comes out to me and my friend and literally says Merry Christmas lol No haggling price, no crazy sales pitches, just good people looking out for good people. They paid off his loan and put him in a 2020 Chrysler 300....brand spanking new. It seems to me that he didnt care about my budget because he wanted me to call my bank and ask them to increase my car loan amount that was way out of my budget. Also the car was listed for $24k but some how with all the fees and taxes the car went up to $29k and I asked him to explain the taxes and fees but it still didnt add up nowhere near $29k.

My wife and I purchased a Wrangler Sahara at the end of May. We had an excellent experience. The dealership was able to meet our pricing expectations with no exhausting haggling. Mike Gomes was fantastic, down to earth, and did not waste our time. This purchase was a welcome departure from the painful and tense 3-4 hour purchase processes we’ve had in the past at other dealerships. The deal was transparent and had no hidden surprises. We fully intend to purchase another vehicle here in the future, and will send our friends their way.

Lies and deception!!!!!! Do not go here!! After looking around in the hot sun and finally deciding on the truck we wanted to crunch numbers on we were lied to! Sitting down with the sales representative was no problem, nor am I sure this is his fault. However, after going back and forth with the finance manager 3 times we told our sales rep we couldnt buy unless we could get the price down to $X. He went back over to the finance manager and came back and said if our credit came back above ZZZ then they would agree to get us to the price we wanted. We were still on the fence (because I dont like my credit ran for an unnecessary reason due to the ding it puts on your credit). After discussing with my husband to make sure that was the truck we wanted and that it had ALL the features in it we wanted, we finally decided to let them run the credit since we would be able to get it for the price he came back with us that we wanted. My credit score came back above what they said it needed to be and brought the paperwork over to start signing... I was about to start signing and we asked so he got it down to $X amount exactly?... He started ruffling with the papers and said he had to go back to the desk. The finance manager came back over and said We just couldnt get it down to where you wanted..... It took everything inside me to stay calm.... They were having us sign papers under the impression we were getting it for what we had asked when the reality was it was no where near what we agreed to. His response was I never said that. I then showed him where the number agreed was written on the paper and he marked it out. Wont step foot here again.

Ive purchased 10 cars in my lifetime and Gastonia Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep was, by far, the best car buying experience ever! From the no pressure greeting to the handshakes at the end, everything was flawless. My credit is average and I expected a higher interest rate, but James McElroy went to bat for me and got a MUCH lower rate than Hendrick offered. If you want a Jeep go to Gastonia!!

Everything was great! Although my credit is not where I would like for it to be so I can comfortably afford the car I would like, after I get my credit up I will definitely be back to see Brandon! He answered all of my questions thoroughly and was there to assist in any way he could. He also touched base with me when I was unable to come in, via email and text. Wish I could give them negative stars. Had to take my vehicle there 3 separate times to finally get my issue resolved. The service advisor hardly relayed any information and kept lying about things. If your looking for quality car care go elsewhere! Consumer beware. Absolutely horrible experience!!!

As the ol’ adage goes ... Caveat Emptor!If you opt into using this Gastonia location to service your vehicle, ensure you remove (lock down) any/all items from your vehicle (items you don’t want going missing), prior to dropping off/leaving it for servicing. Several tools (approx $30-$35 worth) went missing from my tool bag that was left in my back seat at the time of dropping my vehicle off.I called the dealership (once I noticed the missing items) to try and speak with their GM (Craig Smith) about this situation... left a message, but never got a return phone call back... that in itself is highly problematic.Unfortunately, for me, this was my first (and last) time using this location to service my vehicle, and felt compelled to forewarn anyone else considering using this location for servicing your vehicle... whether now, in the near future or ever.All the negative reviews pertaining to Gastonia Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep / RAM speaks volumes in itself... Buyer beware!

I went here looking to get my Jeep Cherokee serviced for an issue with the shifter (a message warning that the shifter needed to be serviced was popping up on the dashboard screen) and without even looking at my car the service tech said I probably was going to need a new battery first and then go from there.. I immediately went to another dealership and they said the car battery had nothing to do with the shifter issue.. this dealership was trying to sell me a new battery I didnt even need !!

I would give ZERO stars if it was an option.In short, I brought my vehicle in for service on January 10, 2020 the diagnosis was a dead battery. While joking about the price of purchasing a battery the service adviser Jay, told me the day of cheap batteries is long gone. Very condescending. While still trying to sale me a NEW MOPAR battery he reminds me the battery has a three year warranty. Then I remember I purchased a battery from the Dodge dealership in Fort Mill, SC about a year ago. After proving this fact with a receipt, Jay agreed to REPLACE my dead battery.The same night, while grocery shopping the car would not start - battery DEAD. Stranded again, more tow fees.Called back to this dealership and the manager merely told me to bring the vehicle back. He REPLACED the battery and offered no explanation or apology as to why this happened.On 2/26/2020 I made another appointment at the service center for an alignment. I needed two tires as well, however I opted to purchase tires somewhere a little more economical and paid for the alignment. I received the before and after reports of said alignment.When I picked my car up, I could still feel the shaking in the steering wheel. I immediately called and expressed this concern. The service rep Deborah said the shaking could be from the tire and after I get the tires replaced (if within one week) to come back in for a free tire balance.On 2/27/2020 less than 24 hours later I purchased two new tires and was told I needed an alignment - my vehicle failed an alignment test. I was then provided with the report that confirms the failed alignment.I am no rocket scientist, but if I paid for a service, then I expect to receive that service. This dealership lied, falsified documents and robbed me. By saying they performed a service they clearly DID NOT perform TWICE.I dont expect this type of service from a certified service center - this is not your regular mom & pop organization selling discounted services.

Over all extremely disappointed in my service experience. Will never come back again. Was charged 2 times the cost for filters and noTransparency to the cost of service till it was over. I’m a commercial customer and do a lot of driving. Can not afford to spend 450 a month on filters and oil change.

Dont take word of mouth or hand shake, check the final paperwork:Oct 9: I purchased a fully loaded Dodge Rebel from GCDJR recently. The sales representative(s) Mathew Corwin and Tracy Sherrill went through their regular rig-a-marole, but nice enough and worked with me on a price. I had adamantly requested that we go through my bank. They mentioned that I would be able save some time, effort, and they would do all the paperwork with using my bank or one of their lenders if they were able to procure a better rate. My father and I had waited long enough in the waiting room so by the time we got to all the paperwork, I was overextended on my time. We went through the paperwork with the financial manager, Paul, he had a friendly smile the whole time and finally and got out the door. I got my father back home then later found out that they had me under a 6.49% interest on the loan(I have an excellent credit rating), and later (Oct 14) found out that they didnt even bother reaching out to my bank which at the time was offering at the most a 3-4% interest rate for used vehicles.Oct 13: I contacted the the dealership secretary said my sales associate Matthew would call back (no call back)Oct 14: Talked to second Financial Manager, I was told there was no way to right the wrong so I was forced to gain and extra 1% in interest when I had to now refinance through my requested bank as to a new loan but!Oct 27: Random guy with no name answers, I explained I was trying to refinance their loan through my bank yet I hadnt received my trucks registration through the mail yet. I was wondering if they could simply type up their hand-written registration because my bank would not except what they had provide. No-Name stated he would get my sales associate, Mathew Corbin, for me. I explained same scenario to Matthew, he said the registration should be legit and offered to transfer me to the Financial manager, Paul, for assistance to where there was no answer.Long story short, please take heed to this and verify all your paperwork with these people. That was a sad mistake on my part but this is not the type of dealership I would ever recommend; a dealership that would take advantage of their customers as handicapped as myself. Words and handshakes are a thing of the past.

My salesman, James, was awesome. He was not pushy at all! He let me look over the trucks I wanted and let me test drive them while telling me about the features of the trucks and just small talk. It was a very relaxed atmosphere and made me feel very comfortable doing a deal with. I test drove two trucks and was going to test drive a third until I decided to go with the first one I test drove. I told him that I wanted to go with the first one at 7:45pm, and they closed at 8pm. He and his trainer Austin, and the sales manager made it a quick and effortless experience in getting the deal done and made no pressure to sign anything without letting me review it first. My next car purchase will definitely be at Gastonia Dodge.
