Some things are a little pricey, but there is always plenty of good quality antiques and doodads. I go here to buy most of my vinyl records, but theres tons upon tons more stuff than that. Theres three accessable floors (not wheelchair friendly), and plenty of goodies to be found throughout the different vendors.

With less variety and floor space than its sister location in South Charlotte, Sleepy Poet Gastonia is an excellent antiquing place to visit on the weekends. Youre gonna want to come here for vinyl and furniture finds on all three floors! Be sure to ask the staff to take the awesome elevator between floors with your cart and family in tow.Downsides were a lack of variety in available items from many vendors, barring a handful of above average booths. Parking is difficult as there is no on site parking, but there should be some curbside parking available (note: it is limited 2 hour parking, so make note of when you park so you arent towed!).Will be back for more fun and finds in the future!

This place is super cool. I found a lot of earrings and some crystals when I went. Lots of things to look at. It was very nice and a short walk from where we were staying. I would totally stop by if I am up in Gastonia again

There are 3 floors of antiques that you can go through. Very neat and organized. Each floor is divided into separate booths by seller. I had a lot of fun looking at everything and the owners were very nice.

Not as good of selection as the original sleepy poet. But still worth going if youre looking for that one of a kind or collects item. 2 floors of antique vintage new and novelty. Records and video game collection/collectables. Jewelry decorative.

Going out of business at the end of May 2021. Not open during their posted hours. I checked their website before planning a trip and no mention of them closing this location and standard hours still listed. Very poor business skills to not bother updating anything.

Really enjoyed how orderly it was. The only complaint and its an important point... ALL the restrooms on all 3 floors were marked with Out of Order signs. Unacceptable and very inconvenient. If you have the store open, so should the restrooms be.

No mystery why this location is going out of business. Every bit as rude and unreasonable as the Charlotte location.

This is probably the coolest antique store in Charlotte. Maybe the coolest one youll ever find. Youre going to probably need to make a day trip of walking around this place because theres so much to find and its so huge. If you like antiques or pop culture memorabilia of any kind, you need to come here.

How had I never visited this place before. Vinyl HEAVEN. I found so many amazing classics and vintage records for such cheap prices!! I could spend a whole day just vinyl fishing. The booths themselves are beautiful, I love how each booth has a theme. Upstairs has a room dedicated to books, which I appreciated. Overall 10/10

Great place. Lot and lots of vendors. In downtown Gastonia in the old dime store. A wide variety of vintage and antique items. Plan on spending some time there. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Parking in Main street is limited but there is a free parking garage very close by. This is a place I will definately be going to again.

This was my second visit here. Three things happened. 1: I was greeted by some of the friendliest people on the planet. 2: I found things I didnt know I wanted till I saw it. 3: I spent way more then I planned and left very happy. I look forward to this being a regular thing.

You can find a lot of stuff here you cant find anywhere and lots of stuff to decorate your house and change thing up. There also a lot of things that you just cant find so if your looking for something old like you sigins, furniture, China sets, decorations, older Toys it was awesome to walk through and just look at Id like to get some stuff to decorate your house with some of that stuff.

I Highly recommend visiting. Staff was very friendly & Welcoming ! I found old comic books, typewriters, diamond rings, mink furs, old money, sewing machines & a bunch of great antiques from 1970s to older. They also have a very cool lift (elevator)! Great company who helps local businesses sell goods within the store also.

Very nice place to find hidden treasures. Three floors to explore, with a big variety of goods. I loved the jewelry, hats, and glass wear. Plan to spend at minimum of an hour to enjoy the many goods. Lots of memories came to mind when we saw certain things.

Should be renamed knic knacks and Junk. This is not a real antiques store its your typical touristy junk shop full of the worst estate leftovers.

We really enjoyed going through this place. If you decide to go just make sure you give yourself as much time as you possibly can. Weather you find something to buy or not. Its so much fun to see so many different things from your childhood. We were there with one of our Daughters. She would just start laughing ever other thing that me or her Mom would pick up. We would tell her I had one of these when I was growing up or we have one upstairs now. If you enjoy spending time with your family and friends. This is a great way to do just that. We are looking forward to going back soon.👍👍

Very clean and new feeling, AND THE UPSTAIRS IS BEAUTIFUL! Seriously the upstairs would make the perfect venue if it wasnt rented out as vendor booths of course for a lot of the large furniture--there is very cool farm house door in use up there too. Three floors to this one and the antique clothing is right when you walk in to the main entrance on the left.

Really good antique mall, really clean and workers are very friendly. Three floors of stuff and the booths are setup really neat which makes it easier to browse. Lots of furniture and items are actually antique, not like some of the other malls which are more like a flea market. Prices seem pretty fair and something for everyone.

Always a fun place to visit. This antiques/used furniture store offers cheap to expensive items displayed creatively. You never know whether you will find a piece of nostalgia or that perfect piece to fill a space in your home. Every visit is an adventure.

We just hit up the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall in Gastonia today. This place has three floors! Lots of misc collectibles and antiques. The third floor is filled with antique and vintage looking furniture. The staff were professional and so very helpful. If you are near Gastonia - check this place out!!

Great antique mall. Staff is very helpful. Take your time to look in each stall and you may find some deals. As with all places like this there are deals to be found but you have to dig for them and haggle. You can store your finds in a cubby at the counter also as you wander. Free popcorn was a nice touch.

A great gem in the heart of historic downtown Gastonia. A perfect location housed in the old 5-10-25 store (Five and Dime).As with many antique and artisan stores, there are many booths of vendors inside situated on two full levels with the checkout on the main level.Sleepy Poet has always had higher end quality pieces with a minor emphasis on the rust. If more antiquated pieces in need of a bit more touch up and restoration are your thing, this might not be the best spot for you. Most pieces here are ready for purchase and display if that helps with your quality level decisions.

This is not that amazing of a place to attend. They have a large building offering some vendors on the first and ground floor. However, they could add more antiques and continue to maximize their space.

This store is adorable! Three stories worth of stuff!! Setup like a flea market in a way. They welcome dogs inside.

Two levels of antique, crafty goodness. This place reminds me most of the Catawba Antique Mall by way that the entire store is brightly lit and fairly clean with clear separations of the different booths. If youre the type who likes to take your time and dig for antiques... go to KatyDid down the street. Also, this place has more crafts (maybe 40% crafts to 60% antiques and collectables compared to other antique stores).

No free popcorn on Sunday. Not as large or as stocked as the South Blvd location but has two floors and lots of potential. Nicely redone exterior with the Kress sign. Definitely worth a stop if you are out junkin in the area.
