I went into this location on Tuesday Nov 26th and worked with Stanley! Best customer service I’ve ever had. I didn’t know what I needed in make up and Stanley was amazing! I never do reviews but this one needed to be said! Thank you so much Stanley for your help! Your amazing!

I wouldn’t recommend going here if you want your hair colored. Haircuts- sure. Samantha does not know what she is doing. I asked for a balayage and I got chunky white highlights. Nice. The manager wouldn’t let another hairstylist fix it and insisted ‘that’s not how we do things’. He would only let Samantha fix it. No thanks.
The benefit brow bar is a must. The product variety is on point and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This is my preferred location.

Wow, today (4/10/21) I encountered the most rude sales associates at this store. I had been standing in line (I was the only one in line) for about 5 minutes and the only cashier open (store manager) never called on me. Next to me was a sales associate talking to what I thought was another sales associate so I said, excuse me is this where I pay or is there another area I need to go? To my surprise, she looked at me with an attitude and pointed while saying, right there. To add insult to injury she rolled her eyes at me while walking away. I said to her, that was very rude and unnecessary; which she ignored. She would make a better correctional officer. They deserve no star.
I had Sandra as my hair stylist and it was easily the best experience I’ve ever had. Typically, my stylists err on the side of being safe when I show them hairstyles or colors that may be considered extreme. This is devastatingly disappointing to me that they don’t trust what I want and I end up with less than what I expected.Not with Sandra. To her credit, when I showed her the haircut inspiration with a great number of layers and choppiness, she confirmed with me what I had asked for, showing the amount that would be cut by holding it in her hand in the mirror. This is how I would expect it to be done. I trusted that she would have warned me if it was a bad choice because, as part of what made the experience so great, she advised me on how I can keep my color-treated hair healthy through no small amount of questions from me. And we had nice personable conversation to boot, which is usually hard to find.Thank you, Sandra, for the rare treat!
I knew very little about makeup other than from what I watch on YouTube videos. Thinking I would need to look more professional for future job interviews, I thought Id give using makeup on myself a try. Unfortunately, all of the products that I saw in videos were the super expensive stuff that I wasnt too sure about splurging on especially on something I wasnt sure Id be using very often. When I went into the store, it was super busy and most of the staff were helping other customers. So, I patiently waited for one of them to become available, and flagged them down. Unfortunately I dont remember her name, but she was from a different store, just filling in for someone that day. She took the time to help me find foundation (which I was seriously having issues with since there are so many shades and brands) and even considered my budget when she was helping me pick it out! She was kind enough to apply it to my face, showing me the right way to do it and let me feel that it wasnt heavy or hot like the previous foundations Id had. Then, noticing that I had some redness on my cheeks from an acne issue since my middle school days, she gave me some free samples of a really good product (some No7 brand cream) that ended up working wonders for my skin!She made my first experience venturing out into the world of makeup so much less daunting than I thought itd be. Now I feel like a pro, and wearing makeup has given me a huge confidence boost whether I have it on or not. Sometimes you just really need someone thats caring and willing to take a few extra minutes to go the extra mile. Really wish I remembered her name because she was amazing!
Hard to find some products. I had to follow a salesperson around in order to get help-then, after I finally found what I was looking for, a manager came to see if I needed help. Nice attempt at a cover up. Also, I noticed them watching me- because apparently wandering around looking for a hidden product means Im shoplifting. This made it difficult to spend an obscene amount of money on products-but, sadly, it was stuff I needed. The salesperson who did help me was nice enough, but the cashier will be rude if youre a white lady. She had no problem asking me if I wanted a credit card, but I had to ask twice for her to scan my coupon. Theres plenty of other locations nearby of both Ulta and their competitors. I will be going to a different store next time.
I came into the salon not knowing what I wanted except short and colored. I gave my stylist, Brittany two color choices to work with and she completely transformed my hair into a beautiful and unique creation. If you visit this location please ask for Brittany—not only is she fast and friendly but very knowledgeable about products, and the upkeep of healthy hair. This was my first time in an Ulta salon and thanks to Brittany it will NOT be my last! I haven’t been this satisfied with my hair in years!
Used the salon service for a last minute haircut and was impressed with the customer service. The shelves were mostly stocked and the employees are always helpful.
Clean and easy to walk around but no one really wanted to help you find stuff. I asked for help with 2 different employees and they became very short and only pointed the item and ran off before I could ask any questions about the product

Always a long line checking out. Last time I was there, there were 3 people by the cash registers and only 2 were working. The other was standing there doing nothing. Dont go if time is a factor
We love Lindy in the cosmetics department!! She promptly approached us and asked if we could use some help with anything, she explained thoroughly about a new cosmetic I had been reading about. She offered to put a sample on me so I could feel the texture and know my appropriate color...I fell in love!! Yes, I could have bought it for cheaper online, but Lindy was so awesome that I allowed her to show me what would work best for me and I checked out happy and feeling like I had a new friend to call on at Ulta!!
Could have had a little more help but pretty good service considering the number of people shopping and covid. I was very disappointed to not get the robe that was advertised and did not get a rain check either.
They made curbside super easy, I did have a product issue so I had to go back, but they quickly resolved my issue. Great customer service.
A few weeks ago I went to this Ulta location to have my hair washed and cut. I had a wonderful experience with my stylist, Taylor. She delivered a great service with passion for what she does. I am excited to finally find my go-to girl for hair. Today I went in for an all-over color and she blew it out of the water. I wanted the color to be as close to my natural color as possible and she delivered perfectly. I plan to continue seeing Taylor for future visits. She is a great asset to the salon and deserves recognition for her hard work and dedication to hair care. Thanks girl!
The service at this location is non-existent. There is no sense of urgency around helping customers and if you have a question or looking for a specific product you will have to look for someone and then they merely point you in the direction of the product. Their selection at this location is also very limited, which isnt an issue but they dont even bother to help me find a comparable product. I have been inside this location several times before finally deciding to leave a review. If you know what you want and know they have it in stock, Im sure this location will work out fine for you. If youre going to walk in with any questions I would advise you drive to find a different location for better service.

First time in an Ulta and I unknowingly picked prom day.. store was well staffed. I was greeted and brought to the product I needed. The representative answered my questions with expertise and shared her own experiences (pros & cons). I was in and out quickly even with the large crowd.
Absolutely the worst customer service in this store..Everytime I shop here I say I will never return. This is the absolute last time I will ever walk in this place.. 3 customers in the entire store, at the checkout a customer was trying to locate a coupon... waited behind her for 15 minutes. I asked the checkout person to please call another associate to help me check out.. she very rudely responded it was only her at the checkout. I put my items back on the shelf and walked out.. this for sure is my last visit here. Nordstrom and Sephora have so much better service and shipping is super fast also. Not sure how UlTA manages to stay in business. It’s like the Walmart of cosmetics, except Walmart does have much better customer service.
I personally love shopping here. I also love getting my hair and eyebrows done here. To say that I am disappointed with the salon not being open is an understatement. I hope that it opens soon. I love brittany and sandie there and am WAY over do for a dye job. It was definitely not the best time to go blond.
I had my wedding hair and make up done here by Dan and Chelsea, they were awesome. Looked amazing after. Only thing I wish was different was that they had a register in the back for checkout,spent a while waiting in line up front.
Always get pick up here and they are always fast and efficient love it here
I had an absolutely incredible experience at this Ulta today. I needed help learning what products to use to blow dry my hair properly, and Selenia took half an hour to walk me through everything, even so much as to blow dry a piece. I will definitely go back!

Nice and clean store. They usually have what Im looking for in stock. The staff could do more to be friendlier instead of ignoring you when you walk in the door. Ive noticed if I have a full face of makeup on and look nice, theyre pretty welcoming. Sometimes if I go in just for something quick with no makeup on and casual clothing, I barely even get acknowledged.
First visit to an Ulta and it was a fabulous experience. Alex approached me to see if I needed any help. (And I did!) She gave me recommendations on products for my skin and advice on how to correctly apply the products that I decided to purchase. When you go, talk to her and she may change your life. I recommend this store and its employees. I will never buy drugstore cosmetics again.
Some folks say they cant afford. Check their website. Their $ are the same or better. And I like the fact I can purchase facial cleaner & moisturizer in product I use. The staff are very helpful. *** dont forget to register your address and email. That earns you a coupon of amount off or % off.
For some purchases you just need this place! After my sisters surgery my husband wanted to cheer her up and paid for her to get a makeover. Its still one of my favorite photos of her. I used to go to the salon here but my stylist moved and then my next one just wasnt what I wanted she called my home phone to cancel my appointment the same afternoon instead of my cell phone, and when I answered to say I had moved my schedule around and I expected someone at the salon to see me if she needed to leave she agreed to do my hair, looking back it was a horrible experience and after that I stopped going. But the store is nice.
This review is a little late, but the salon was a HORRIBLE experience. Stacy was my hair stylist and i asked for a balayage - showed her different pictures of what i wanted and she decided to bleach my whole head, make me entirely light blonde, fry my hair, and charge me $300. This process took upwards of 5 hours and I was left with ruined hair and a dent in my bank account. DO NOT GO HERE if you want your stylist to do what you ask them. and if you do decide to go just make sure you’re not with Stacy.
Went in to get a touch up on highlights and a haircut. My hair was over processed by bleach and is a fried mess. The haircut i wanted was not what I received. I wanted a short pixie style cut and all she cut was about 3 inches., (from shoulder length hair) Same haircut just shorter. 3and a half hours for something that ended up being a complete mess. Dont go here. There are some great stylists here who know what theyre doing but do you want to run the risk in getting the one or two who dont. I regret coming back.

Went in for a facial a few weeks ago and I was absolutely amazed by KAREN! Simply the best! She is truly talented and knows her stuff when it comes to skin. My skin looked and felt great after the facial. I will be going to her from now on.
My close friend had teased me about getting a facial and then recommended I give it a try, so I came in and Karen Lee took amazing care of me! Never had a facial before but I must say it was very relaxing! Karen was very pleasant and the all around experience was more than I expected, I will be going back again!
OMG! I wanted to leave a 1 star simply because of how much I spent. Took my mother, girlfriend and 2 daughters there for mothers day. They are very happy and I am very broke!!! They love this place though. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
I stopped by here to pick up a special gift for my signification other. She absolutely loved her Gucci guilty, and it even came with a sweet carrying bag and was gift wrapped! Now that is customer service!
Im so late on writing this review 😹 But anyways, August 30th was the day that I had to take my senior pictures, so I had made an appointment ahead of time with a woman named Elliot. When I got there, she asked me about the make up look that I was going for. I wasnt very articulate, especially since I knew nothing about make up. But she was so nice and professional! I showed her a picture of the look that I wanted and she did it! Fast forward to now, I just got my proofs back and they look so good! Ill definitely be back so she can do my prom make up and graduation make up too!!!
Made an appointment, confirmed the appointment, then showed up on time for the appointment. Was told that I had cancelled which I obviously had not, or would not have got up on my day off to come in. The store manager, who needs a little managerial training, was no help. She offered an appointment 4 hours later in the day with really no apology or explanation as to their mistake in double booking. I am a store manager as well and deal with customers all day everyday. If I ran my store this way I would lose my job! Terrible terrible customer service!

Least helpful employees of any retail store I’ve ever been to. Not one person approached me to ask if I needed any help. They were all standing up at the register talking when they should have been helping customers.

I was satisfied that they had the items i went in for. However, the customer service needs to improve the way they help guests. As a customer service associate at a Retail store, there are times when even though you may think you are right, the customer proves that you are not. It is OKAY to be wrong sometimes, just fix it and keep it moving and stop making excuses as to why it the problem cant be solved. That is all.
Their elf section shrank significantly since the last time I was there. I’m talking a wall of elf versus one or two shelves. If I had to guess, I’d say they know elf is probably the most popular, BUT affordable line of cosmetics, and Ulta would rather replace that wall of elf with a wall of Morphe to fill their pockets. If they had any sense, they would know that people are just going to end up walking out and shopping for elf elsewhere, like I did. Great job being elitist and pushing away customers who spend just as much, but on more product. 👍🏼🖕🏼
Had a great salon experience with Heli! She was able to lighten my dark, Asian hair and give me vibrant blue highlights that stood out (even when wet!) and looked absolutely stunning. Will definitely return!
I tend to go to this Ulta often since I live down the street from it. I notice that many of their popular items can be out of stock for a good amount of time. Some days they have many associates that check in with you and some days I only see a person at the register so finding help can be difficult. If you are able to drive to the Cary location,they seem to have more in stock.
I got my hair cut, colored and styled by Selenia today and she did a fantastic job. She listened and paid attention when I described the look I wanted. Then she took the time to make sure my hair came out perfect. I will definitely be back to see her!

The customer service at this location is severely lacking. I wasn’t greeted by anyone, walked around while listening to various conversations on the floor amongst employees, most involving complaining about customers. I then waited at the front of the store to check out for almost 10 minutes. Someone finally came up after looking around I guess to see if someone else would deal with me. Gave me a half-hearted “sorry about that” when she was obviously sorry to be inconvenienced by having to ring me up. I can’t believe this store is run this way. It’s been similar in the handful of times I’ve attempted in the past so this will be my final visit.
My first stop there was OK. No one greeted me when I came into the store. No one checked to see if I was finding everything ok. However, the cashier was very nice & asked if I had found everything ok. They do have a plethora of items!
Staff has always been helpful. However, went to use a merchandise credit, issue by this store earlier in the month. Tje card registered a zero balance even though it had no not bee used prior to today. Store manager not helpful, told me to contact customer service, who was unable to help. Meanwhile I had to pay $20 dollars for items that should have been covered. Poor customer relations put forth by store management.
The workers here are so helpful. I needed a new shampoo and conditioner because my hair just was not retaining moisture and the beauty associates helpfully informed me of products that would work for my hair.
If I could give zero stars I would. Just walked in to get a dead end trim and blow out and was turned away for being 5 min late to an appointment.The policy for most places is 15 so I thought it wouldn’t be a big deal as to this is my first time coming to white oak and taking me awhile to find it and parking. There were open seats and hairdressers twiddling their thumbs as I was emotional about having a wedding to go to in a few hours with now dirty hair and the cashier couldn’t care less. All because I was FIVE MINUTES LATE. Would never recommend.
Young lady did my make up wasnt planning on it just wanted to check.out the store for the first time...skin tone yellow... Matte lipstick i had on already. Glitter eyeshadow from there ..made a purchase so will be shopping again..
Kayla at the Benefit Brow Bar does an amazing job on my brows. She tints them and arches them. I wont go to anyone else as long as shes there! She takes her time and makes sure they are perfect, so if youre looking for someone to do your brows in 5 minutes, go to another salon.

Its pretty bad that I have not being able to continue with my facial treatments as prescribed by the best esthetician that they ever had!!! Do they not realize that staying on a treatment plan with your esthetician is just as important as being on a plan with a medical provider!!! They really hurt themselves and me, and Im sure her other clients as well. They would not disclose to me where she went even after I literally begged. I finally took it upon myself to do a lot and I mean a lot of research to finally find her in Smithfield. Finally!!!! Thanks for nothing Ulta. Really thought they were better than this.
As often as I spend money at this location I feel it’s very disgusting and disrespectful that the workers feel like following anyone around. It’s happens to me and my younger sister at different occasions. I would not be writing this if it wasn’t for my sister calling me crying about her experience. I don’t know if it because we are hispanic or it’s the fact what we don’t dress in expensive closthes. It’s make me mad to my core and sad about this! Discrimination at this location is so evident. I’ve been in store and notice who they follow around tand it makes me feel bad for them and they always tend to be a minority. This type of action and mind set has to be coming from up high in ranks in store because the leader of the store allows it and mostly encourage it. I’m not saying I will completely stop coming to this location but I will definitely consider other options before setting foot here again.
Kayla is amazing at the brow bar! I have very light brows and she always tints them and gives me a beautiful brow any light blonde girl would die for. I cant say enough about her!! Go see her and get BEAUTIFUL brows.

Awful customer service every single time I go there. The only reason I ever go there anymore is if I absolutely need something i cant find elsewhere. I have only come across like two girls there who actually seem to care about the customers. Get better employees or run off customers.
Jacqueline Is a new employee in the ulta Beaty salon. She is supper nice and made my experience so awesome ! I haven’t had a hair cut in a couple of years and I’ve always had long hair my whole life ! So I was supper nervous getting my hair cut short ! She also put color on my hair and it looks amazing ! I’m so glad she did my hair and she made me feel supper comfortable with making good conversation.i recommend her 100 percent ! And I will be going back to see her ! I’m sooo happy with my hair and I’ve gotten sooo many compliments !
I like to take my time loking at the products because theres a lot of products but the thing is I dont like the employees are just checking up on me like if Im going to steal something.And another thing I dont like asking the employees that helping at the cosmetic section anything, because they have bad attitude, like they dont like to be there, and when they respond they talk down to me.
Id rather order online! Too crowded for my tastes. Lines dont move fast at all!

Love the makeup hate the staff. I bought a ton of stuff and only had a question about one item. All of the employees were in little groups chatting and I felt like I was interrupting their conversation.. then she gave me a quick answer and walked backed to her group. This product ended up not being my color and I took it back.This is not the first time Ive been treated like this. (Normally when Im not dressed up)Cary ULTA is the BEST!! Ill drive further next time just to have a better experience.

Poor customer service from Clinique consultant. Called on Tuesday for appointment was told not in but would be in Wed at 11. Made an appt at 11:30 on Wed. Arrived & was told I had no appt & she would not be in. Sad very sad. Will go to another Clinique
I have been a loyal customer for over 10 years with this company. I went to go shopping for skin care products tonight a goodie bag was given to me it wasn’t until I got home I realize they had handed me the wrong goodie bag so I called the store and spoke with MARCUS he was extremely rude and had a horrible attitude with me over the phone I was simply trying to explain to him that I had just purchased items and was given the wrong gift bag.I told him that I would come back to the store to exchange it he completely ignored me when I did come back to the store and was not helpful at all thankfully the cashier that was there I believe her name is Catherine was very nice and professional I express my frustration with her about this general manager and she told me a lot of customers complain and have issues with his attitude he needs to be fired in my opinion

Awful. Stylist was completely inexperienced. Ive never seen a salon with an atmosphere like this. I had to stop the stylist in the middle of the cut and go somewhere else to have it finished. Management of salon was not available and store manager offered no assistance. STAY AWAY
Didn’t have the hair product I wanted. Not a big deal places run out of things. But then no one could help me find something similar from another brand and I had to spend 20 mins searching the hair section for the same thing in a different brand. Finally find it and I’m standing up front for 5 mins with 2 cashiers one helping someone and the other doing nothing. Then finally when she started helping someone else she asked if I waiting to check out and I was. She then proceeded to show me where the line was that had built up and after waiting another 10 mins for them to checkout 3 people I finally just left. The lazy cashier was very rude. I won’t be going back to this location.
Heli cut and styled my hair today and it looks amazing. She listened to what I wanted, gave me suggestions, and then gave me the best hair style. Love love it. Thank you so much Heli. You were awesome and I will definitely be back!

I am still in shock over the hair cut I got today...Its long on top and shaved a 2 all the way around underneath, pretty simple (I have cut it myself in the mirror many times before). She cut a chunk out where she was making a hard line. Then when I got home I found she shaved it a 1 around my ear, literally down to the skin about 1/2 inch above my ears all the way around. WHY? WHO DOES THAT AND WHY?!!?!?!?! The final kicker, I had to shave around it all again when I got home because she missed a bunch of spots (long hairs sticking everywhere). She combed my hair over to try and hide it while there as well. Never again. This is not a joke, dont get burned like me. Sigh.
