Walmart Auto Care centers are infamous for bad service, but the Garner one is the exception. I ordered 4 tires online and had them installed at this location. Through the entire process, I received exceptional and professional service. Andrew (appointment set-up) answered all my questions patiently. Mason (check in) assisted me promptly and professionally. David cheered me with jokes during the quick check out. These employees (and whoever is running this department) should be commended and considered for a pay raise.

Carson and Seral were extremely helpful and courteous. These are great people and I am very impressed with the exceptional service I received.Thanks guys, you are definitely a great example of what all should aspire to be like.....

Could not get them on the phone. Several calls and 20 minutes on hold. Ended up at Firestone.

I called yesterday to ask for Douglas All Season tires for 215/60R16 tires. These tires are $55/tire and with the cost of installation it was going to be $286 + tax for them to do all four tires. When they told me they had them I went ahead and made an appointment for 5:00pm that day. Due to unexpected circumstances I had to call a few hours later and reschedule for 1:00pm today (December 4, 2019). At no point did they tell me they may not have the tires I requested by the time I got there for my APPOINTMENT the next day. When I arrived, admittedly around 10 minutes late due to my classes, I was told they only had 1 of the tires I had called about the day before and that the only tires they had were going to cost me $90/tire. When I told them that I called the day before and been told they could do the 55 dollar tires all they said was that they couldnt hold tires and that I would call and make my appointment and hope they didnt sell out of tires I specifically asked for. I was told the only way to get the tires I asked for was if I paid before I came in, which you cant even do over the phone and again I was not notified of any of this. This is when I left. If I had been told I would have found a way to come in and pay for the tires yesterday. This feels like you are trying to scam customers out of their money by telling them they can pay one price and then when they get to their appointment saying you no longer have what they asked for in stock and it would cost much more money now.

Went their to get four tires and they said that they were not taking anymore cars and it was only 5 pm. The man then acted like he was going squeeze me in and then the cashier said we full you need to make an appointment. There were only 3 cars that were parked over there in the parking lot. They just wanted to stop early. If you going say you have six cars make sure their are six cars parked in the lot. Very poor customer service. I will visit the Walmart but not their auto center.

New guy in tire center not friendly at all, wishing I would have taken his name. I walk in tell him I need a tire, car is stranded. How long would it take to get to it? Not today to busy. Keep in mind rim is off the car, in back of my truck. I understand that but cant get to it. He was not going to get to it today no matter what. It takes about 10 minutes at most to break a tire off of rim and put another on and balance. Not one word can you leave it and let me work it in. Guessing customer service has gone down hill since last year when I purchased these tires. Never will I buy tires from hwy 42 walmart again.

So I was here to do a tire rotation and balance. The employee was a little rude before I even gave him the keys. Then was told it was going to be 2 hours. I was actually ok with that. Then just to be told that the front tire tread is too low to be rotated and he could only do the back tires. Said I would need 2 new tires. Big scam!!! Ill take my business somewhere else.

I came for tires, tire repairs, and oil changes for years! Unfortunately the last 5 or so oil changes I’ve needed I have been told there’s a 3+ hour wait. I’ve even been told that when no vehicles were pulled into the shop. Today drew the line for me. I needed a simple tire repair (slow leak) and again told 3 hours...with 2 vehicles pulled in and only 3 parked in the lot. I am not happy with the revolving excuses I’ve continued to get. I will not be returning for anything vehicle related.

Shoe makers at there best!! Not mechanics at all. You pay for what you get that’s why the prices are so cheap! I’ll bring my shoes there next time.

THIS PLACE IS BUSY!! The staff are all top rate. They are polite and knowledgeable. They were extremely helpful and patient even though I was rude because I was frustrated with the time it was taking. I drove away very happy, even though it took over 3 hours. I will go back. They are much better and cheaper than the Kia Service Center on Glenwood and they treated me with respect.

Went to get a new tire. Reasonably priced tires, pretty quick service. Quite pleased with the overall experience.

Give a star only because I have to... was 3rd in line this morning with 2 techs... not too bad right? WRONG!! I know one guy was getting 4 tires.. not sure about the other service. Was told it would be a little while for my oil change. When I inquired how long the response was THREE HOURS!! I said you gotta be kidding me. Now I understand the other warnings in here....

The auto center is worthless. Went in to get a tire. Instead of searching for a tire similar to the one needed man stated no Wal-Mart carries them. Unfortunately for him i had bought a tire for my car in New Burn and knew better. When looking for my account. (Where I could view the computer) he stated it couldnt be found. Even when he clicked the account and I seen yes it was my account. Even stated 2015 dodge dart. He backed quickly out of it and said no...Save your time. Go to Just Tires across the street. Went here for an oil change and tire rotation. For an early Saturday morning it took a little over and hour and a half but to a degree you get what you pay for. Saying that, the service was great, I cant remember the managers name but he was great since my vehicle was newer and somethings needed attention. Would be a five star if done quicker but with my experience they have earned my next oil changes.

I hesitate to even give one star. This automotive department is the worst Ive ever experienced. I would imagine that the Waltons, who have billions and couldnt care less about a $75 dollar battery sale, still would give better customer service than this department gave. Ive been in retail sales for 25 years and I cant think of one example of worse customer service. I strongly recommend, even if it costs a few dollars more, to give your business to a local business that actually cares whether you buy from them or not. This Walmart department would rather run you off so they can continue the party and eat snacks than take two seconds to help you. I cant put into words exactly how terrible the service was, but believe me, of the several well known retailers Ive worked for none of them would tolerate the complete incompetence and total disregard for customer satisfaction that this department exhibited today. If the management at this Walmart gave one squat about customer service this entire department would be gone and replaced with a staff that at least cared a little bit. I can guarantee you this, this department has received the very last dollar from me. From now on I will drive the few minutes out of my way to go to another retailer. Apparently Walmart has enough money that they no longer care about you, your satisfaction, or your money.

Zero stars!!! Got there at 745am, third in line for a oil change, left at 1105am, they didnt open till 800am. Very sorry group of people that work there! Especially the managers!

SLACK - came for an oil change at 715am (open at 7). One car in the bay and only one worker. Others not in until almost 8. As my truck was on the rack, I watched the 2 boys take their sweet time moving from task to task as though they havent a care in the world nor a line of vehicles waiting at this point. As my truck was in the lift, I watched these 2 shade tree mechanics open the drain plug and oil pouring down onto the floor, no oil catch. This prompted another 5-10 minutes of meandering around to find other tools, from one wall of the shop to another, again at a snails pace. I understand that you get what you pay for but other Walmart Auto centers surpass this single station. Im still waiting after an hour and a half with these car monkeys. Worst pet is that after seeing what I have, I feel the need to double check drain plug, filter and oil level to ensure everything is right.

Great service. Always affordable tires and installation. Especially when you order tires online and ship to the store...

Worst car service Ive ever had. At first the employee who originally helped me was very nice and told me to get my two tires replaced it would be 30 minutes maybe a little more. One hour and a half later and after nagging the employees about my car I finally got it back. The receptionist didnt even greet me or say anything back to me when I thanked her before I left. She had a chip on her shoulder and it was very obvious. I didnt pay $150 for horrible customer service and to be treated like I did. I will not be returning.

Terrible. Got tires and they scratch all four of my black hubcaps. I complain and they didnt even apologize. They will refund me the cost of new hubcaps but this wouldnt have happened if they had been more careful. Now I have to go to the trouble of ordering new ones and then go to the store and get my money refunded. Never again will I get tires here.

Been here over an hour waiting for oil change and my car is still in the parking lot after working a long over night shift. I cant even try to get my keys back anytime soon because the line is to the back of the auto center. My groceries are melting. This is so unprofessional. Next time I will pay a little more and go to jiffy lube.

Never get an oil change here. The employees DO NOT know what they are doing. We were told that the car would be done in 45 minutes. We shopped and came back an hour later. They said that the car was just being pulled in and that it would be done in 15-20 minutes. So I went to check out and left my husband with the car. 40 minutes later Im sitting out front and called to see if it was done yet. The guy said yes and hung up on me. Apparently, they couldnt get the cover off of the oil filter so they didnt change the filter but still charged us the full price. I spoke with a manager and was told that guy working the counter could take care of it for us tomorrow. Not today? What was going to change between today and tomorrow? Then he told me that their techs are in the process of being certified and then the manager said that the only person she trusted to work on her car was the guy behind the counter... Makes me really confident in what they did do to my car today... We are at my in laws house on vacation, the last thing I wanted to do was spend that time at Walmart!

I bought tires here but they are always too busy to rotate them. You can get an appointment but it is during working hours and you still end up being here for 2 hours or more. I will not buy my tires from here again.

I wasnt called once fix was done. The person who was at the counter then got really aggressive when I asked why he didnt call me. He said he did it personally and that he knows for a fact it went through. Later I find out he misdialed my number and never called the right person. Then when im finally picking up my car, the dude just stopped halfway through giving me my keys and receipt and just starts chatting with a coworker. When I reminded him that I need my keys, I got an annoyed look from him. Basically just awful customer service from some manchild who clearly didnt care about what was going on. Wouldnt recommend.

3rd time trying to get the oil changed. 3 hours till they close and they said they arent taking any more cars. Tried 2 days ago and was told the same thing 4 hours before they close. Ridiculous!!

Second time coming here, I had no idea dealing with a walmart tire center would be so pleasurable. First time I came here I had ordered specialty riding mower tires which walmart beat everybody elses price. When they arrived I brought my old ones and they mounted them for only 5 bucks a pop. This time I brought in 2 tires for a mini bike that I had picked up from tractor supply and the old tires and rims. Unfortunately their machine was too small to change the tires so I had to go home and change them myself; but the manager told me to bring them back and theyd set the bead which I absolutely couldnt do with my air compressor at home at no charge! Try em out!
