How would you feel driving off the lot with a damaged vehicle that was sold as brand new? Three mins after signing the paperwork the deal was good until I get the keys to my car and did my final walk through to observe my new vehicle to find out at some point from leaving the truck to parking it out front my selected 2022 Telluride was damaged. There was a scratch, chips and scuffs all on the driver side. We were told we could file under our warranty even though the damage did not occur in our possession. The only solution offered was for me to file a claim under warranty let us repair it or cancel the deal. As a customer, the take it or leave it mentality seals the deal for me. I would think they would show some kind of ownership of the issue and appreciation to the customers time and money that was spent to show good faith in the business deal that was just made and for the future. Once they had the deal made they were done and its on to the next. With no initiative to make things right for the transgression. Now dont get me wrong the rest of the transaction was good or salesperson Magic was great. The higher ups, I wont name names, made this deal turn sour when they said this is all were going to do(make claim) the vehicle will be sold tomorrow its not a big deal take it or leave it. there was no accountability for the damage that was made by a serra employee. or any initiative to keep the business deal that was made.The general manager was rude, disrespectful, and showed no empathy for the customer. He interrupted my wife and me, got loud with my wife, and showed no sense of How can I make this right? It was only after my wife stated we would return the vehicle and I discussed the good faith we expected, did the general manager have solutions. We will never do business with with ANY Serra Automotive Group dealership again.
It was a very nice place. Everyone was nice and helpful. I will be bringing my kia back. They even washed the car. I will tell everyone to come here.
We went to take a look at whether a mid-size truck or a full size truck would suit our needs best. When a friendly, personable young man named Michael Guthrie walked up and introduced himself we started talking about what we were looking for. He listened, asked some very intuitive questions and after listening to our answers - asked us if we would like something to drink or eat while he went to find vehicles that would meet the criteria he had gleaned from the answers we gave to his questions. About twenty minutes later (which, honestly seemed like forever), he came back to us and asked us to follow him outside. We walk outside and he had two vehicles waiting for us - a 2020 Toyota SR5 Tacoma and a 2019 Toyota Tundra. After looking at the cabin size difference between the two, we decided on the larger of the two and sat down to work out the particulars. When we first started, we were so far apart I really was not optimistic about us coming to an agreement. But, after a lot of negotiating, with work from Michael and management, we finally got the truck I wanted.I would definitely recommend you go in and be honest with whomever you work with. But if you find Michael helping you, I am sure you will agree - he really is a nice, knowledgeable young man that will do whatever is necessary to try and get you the vehicle you are wanting at the price you can afford.
We went there to see their Telluride and unfortunately they didnt have any to show us, so that was a bust. Kind of a big let down as the other car we might have been interested in was a Sorento until we found out it was only a 4 cylinder. After finding that out we left very disappointed. The salesperson was very knowledgeable but was unable to overcome the lack of inventory.
We love our experience with Serra Gardendale Kia. They worked really hard to get us a great deal. Our salesman, Michael Gutherie was amazing and so helpful with us picking out a car for our 16 year old daughter. He knew that her safety was our top concern. We did have to wait a while for the car to be detailed but that was not Michaels fault. And, we noticed the car had spots all around it from the cleaner so it was not detailed properly. Other than that, we are extremely happy with using them and recommend it. Ask for Michael, you wont be disappointed. He was very entertaining and was so patient with me trying to decide.
BEWARE !! Don’t buy from Gardendale Kia. - This might happen to you too, or God-forbid to one of your children. The tire in this photo is what these guys sent me away in. Granted, it was a used truck, but there is a certain level of trust that you customers should be able to have in what’s considered a reputable auto dealer. However, with this location, all that matters is apparently what can be (or can’t be) seen at face value. I insisted that a replacement tire be replaced at the time of purchase, as this one was the only oddball of the set. And although there appeared to be sufficient tread, it was at least a red flag that there was only one tire that didn’t match. And sure enough, just a few days after driving off the lot, this tire exploded while driving down the highway. There was nothing hit or driven over by any means. There was also significant damage to other parts of the truck from the shrapnel after the burst - of which Serra Gardendale Kia refused to take any responsibility for. Thank God this wasn’t a vehicle that I had put one of my children in and could have easily caused a serious accident. This wasn’t a matter of who is “legally” responsible. This was a simple matter of standing behind the product that you are selling to the public and ultimately doing the right thing. I’m not sure if this is the collective attitude and integrity of Kia in general, or if it’s just this location. Either way, I plan to dig deeper and find that out. Take my advice for what it’s worth, but I suggest you buy from a dealer with a little more moral integrity than Serra Kia of Gardendale.

We got our Kia soul on Aug. 20, was promised a 10 day pay off on our trade in. As of September 21st it has not been paid . After MANY phone calls and much frustration we were finally promised the pay off would be over night today... We will see.I will never go back to Gardendale Kia for anything, nor refer anyone. The sales people were great, its in the accounting department that needs to do some major housekeeping!!!
Great customer service!! I really appreciate the COVID Safety precautions. Thanks for the hospitality of the free coffee, bottled water and popcorn. The popcorn was burnt smelling, but the coffee from the Kureg was good. I really appreciate the customer service from Joey, if I remember correctly. They said it would take 2 days to finish it and gave me a vehicle to drive. Although, I had just filled my tank up and the loaner had under half a tank of gas, but it was okay, as long as my baby gets fixed. Thanks for all your help!!! ☺
I like Serra Kia Garden dale, I have purchased 2 cars from them, and I always have my car serviced there. I appreciate the free car wash. Customer service is good, I appreciate the waiting area as well

My vehicle arrived at Kia Monday morning before they opened. It’s now Thursday and all I still know is that my vehicle is in line to be evaluated. After the service department opened on Monday we were informed that it was in line and we should get a call or email by the next day. Called Tuesday and left a message with no return call or email. I guess I will know something one day.
They sold me a used 2018 truck with a bad battery. I just got this truck a couple of days ago, the sales manager by the name of Andy assured me that the truck was in good condition and now I’m stranded on the freeway because the truck isn’t working. I called the dealership and the sales manager had the audacity to tell me that, that’s what happens when you buy used cars from THIS dealership. Never in my life have I been so angry at a dealership and furthermore the experience they have given me. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worse enemy as they are selling used lemons at their dealership at brand new car prices!!!!!!!!
Went to Gardendale Kia for my third Kia purchase. Andrew the store manager assured me that he could get me in and out in a timely manner. I only came for a vehicle appraisal. Not only were they fast and friendly but I got in and out in no time. Go see Andrew! I got my car too!
DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE!!!!!! The finance department is rude and very disrespectful I have seen and heard them say and do somethings that is very disrespectful. They to much focusing on talking about people and there credit score or how someone is living. The service department is just super slow and confuse. The whole place is unorganized. They gave me a car with a bad battery that they didnt want to replace. Then they wrote my information all wrong so now they all pointing figures at each other. They was suppose to fix the problem a month ago and I called yesterday since I havent heard from them in a moth and still nothing . So I call back today ones again nothing. The salesman I had was amazing. All the sales people are awesome but everyone is rude and disrespectful. The person I am I dont mind making a scene. This place is just all out of walk.
The sales process was fine. Its the service department that I have a problem with. The warranty is the biggest benefit to buying a new car, and getting any appointment with them is next to impossible. I tried multiple times through the UVO app (Kias app that is designed for this sort of thing) which told me I would receive a call within 24 hours. I never did despite multiple attempts.I then call up there and am told that despite the major engine problem with my new vehicle that it will be more than a month until someone can see me. No other solutions were offered up. The operator transferred me to the service department and all I got was a voicemail. To date, I have not received a call back. Take your money elsewhere. I was able to go through a different dealership altogether to get a service appointment.I cannot stress enough how big of a mistake buying a car from these people was.
The best car purchase experience that I have ever had! We live in Florida and after weeks of visiting car dealerships and looking online, my daughter found what she wanted 6 hours away at Serra Gardendale Kia in Alabama. I started the process on line with Andrew, made the drive, was greeted by Bobby, who introduced us to his wife Christie that handled the purchase. I felt like I was dealing with friends, the process was quick and easy. I definitely recommend this dealership, they have a great team and I have a happy daughter!

So I had to see myself. And words really cannot describe the attention to detail Christie gave my wife and I. She was knowledgeable about ever vehicle on the lot. Worst experience Ive ever had. Was told I was approved for a escalade and then they tried to put me in an old beat up Lincoln with scratches and paint coming off of it. I wouldnt recommend them to nobody. I was told that they would do that,get me approved for one car and try and sale me the vehicle they want to get off their lot. Absolute garbage! We bought our 2020 Kia Soul from Serra Kia Gardendale last year before the pandemic and lockdown started. Out of that time we had our car in the shop MORE than on the road. It was cheaply made and has already had a recall on it. It was in the shop for 3 MONTHS while still paying a car payment and never reimbursed for that time. Here we are AGAIN in the shop because my AC went out and I was told on the phone that AFTER I made my appointment that “people have it worse than I do” because my AC was out! That has NOTHING to do with anything! All I wanted was to get my car fixed! They also told me that my AC went out because the hose was wearing out, IT SHOULDN’T BE WORN OUT IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR! I was also told since the car is “damaged” through my fault that it is NOT under warranty. Well if Kia didn’t make cheaply made cars then I wouldn’t be in this situation! Also the 2 men that they have working their service desk are sexist! I called them back because I received a missed call from them and they told me that they already had my husband on the phone and I told them, “Well whatever you are telling him, you can go ahead and already tell me.” And then instantly HUNG UP! They called me back AGAIN and said, “ Oh I’m sorry I meant to call your husband.” And HUNG UP ON ME AGAIN. Absolutely unprofessional and trash cars. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Drove 4 1/2 hours to buy a truck. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. There were no surprises the price was as discussed over thePhone. I would buy a vehicle from this dealership again.

Christie Taylor and the whole establishment is a joke. The over charged me to begin with and by the time I made it in the back to sign my paperwork the price had went up. My new vehicle got cleaned and came back with scuffs and scratches. I dont even want it anymore, the horn on my 2021 Seltos stopped worked before I made it to 10k and I cant even get an appointment to get it fixed

My girlfriend and I bought a used Jeep Wrangler yesterday and our buying experience was great. Yezan was a great salesman and answered all of our questions very quickly. They gave us a good number on our trade and I was able to get an even better price on the Jeep than what I asked for. Jason was awesome. Overall it was a pleasant experience and a good atmosphere. Awful, dropped car off for a particular service that was never done. Instead they fixed the recall that I knew nothing about. Saddest part is I spoke with the general manager about the problem but he never called back. SIMPLE COMMUNICATION is awful. Now Im wondering if service was even done even though I have the receipt....

When I bought my car, this place was amazing. My salesman was Michael Gutherie and let me just say, I love this dude. He answered all my questions, worked very hard to get the payment I wanted, and he was very entertaining. The most enjoyable time I ever had buying a car. I look forward to when its time to buy another, Ill definitely go back to serra Kia and look for Michael.

We were traveling from Green Bay,WI to Talladega Al when my 2020 Kia sorrento had other plans. We were able to make it (by running red lights) to Serra Kia. It was a Saturday after 5pm. So if course the service department was closed until Monday Morning 8am. The sales manager Andrew Johnson was OUTSTANDING... Especially considering I was NOT the friendliest of people to deal with in this moment. He asked me to step into a side room ( due to the unfriendly language in which I was speaking.) He actually listened with both ears open as if he actually cared and wanted to help my situation. He loaned us a car off the lot so we werent stranded. We were able to use the car until ours could get looked at Monday am. He also assured us that ours WOULD be looked at FIRST thing MONDAY. He held true to his word. He quickly diffused the situation when I first walked in. He has made follow up contact since. As our car still sits in AL, and we are now on our way home in a rental. I hope Kia backs their warranty as well as Andrew was a man of his word. We have made a new friend for life having this experience. We wish him many years of success. THANK YOU ANDREW. Our alternator died on our 2017 Sedona while traveling from Louisville, KY to Gulf Shores, AL. Kia towed our vehicle to the dealership and they did everything they could to get us back on the road as fast as they could. We ended up having to rent a vehicle from the BHM airport. Normally a shuttle or complimentary Uber is offered according to Kias survey I took but I was told they werent available due to covid. That was a little disappointing that no loner was available and I had to pay for my own ride to the airport to rent a car.Overall they did a great job trying to get us back on the road and Im very appreciative of everything they did.

Front office has great customer service. Vehicles have issues with oil consumption and leaves you stranded multiple times. Be careful after 50,000. They do not honor their extended warranties. Do not advise spending extra money if the service department will not honor their contract. Do not recommend this location. Use Trussville or Riverchase for any service issues.

Everything was fine but the Mike guy was WAY to pushy. I asked to give a moment so I can talk over my plans and ideas with my family and he just kept on pushing the topic of getting a car that I wasnt even interested in it knowing I said I wasnt interested and then he finally gave us a moment to talk and when we told him no again he was like why you dont want it basically.
