I want to sing the praises of two people who work here.The first person is Jyanna, who helped me get checked in for a last minute reservation about 15 minutes prior to closing. She was professional and kind while helping me navigate my reservation.The second person in Glen. The center was near or past closing, but he helped me get my auto trailer secured to my 15 truck and patiently explained how to load, tow, and unload my car. He was a joy to work with and I really appreciate his staying late to help me with my equipment.Frankly, I feel both employees deserve a raise :)

[UPDATE] 7/3/2021 Still coming here. So far I haven’t been in a situation where they were out of propane.———What are the odds...? The Uhaul location I typically go to for propane refills was out of propane. So, I went to another one, and it was out of it too!!! I started thinking that maybe what’s going in Texas is affecting all of us now... (I read somewhere that 20% of the refinery in Texas is being affected by the recent snow storm and in part the gas prices at the pumps are certainly reflecting that right now.)And then, I googled for another Uhaul location and found this location. I actually called the location thinking that I was calling them to double check while I was on my way. But it turned out that it was the main control center. Anywho, the rep confirmed that this location had propane!!! So, it was a happy ending.Oh and the guy who refilled my tank told me that the two locations out of propane had nothing to do with what’s going on in Texas. It sometimes happens that way... lol My silly paranoia 🤪

I would give them a minus star if I could, On Fourth of July Picked up a truck, guy charges me for an appliance dolly rental, He never gave me the dolly and I saw a small dolly in the back of the truck assuming that was what I rented. Came back and dropped off the truck, an hour later they email me my receipt with a $150 missing dolly fee. WHAT? I never received one from the guy (Faith Williams) as stated on my receipt behind the counter who wouldnt get off his chair. I called them that same day and talked to some lady, at first she argued, then she agreed to refund my money. That never happened so I called their corporate and after 25 minutes on hold, gave up and hung up. Then I send them an email through their feedback link and never received a response. Will never rent from U haul again. I am in the process of fighting the charges through my bank. Save yourself a lot of headache and stay away from this company.

I made a reservation for an available storage unit over six weeks ago. When I arrived from my one-way move to this location, they told me they dont have any units. I informed them I have a reservation I booked a while ago, and they said the reservation isnt for a unit but to be able to come look around to see if there are any open. What? I can do that without a reservation. After speaking with U-haul on the phone, they informed me that isnt the policy. Someone from the location was supposed to assign me a unit a while ago but never did. And Im pretty sure they never do based on what the attendant at the location said. Also, their 5x10x15 are actually 5x8x15, so beware. Needless to say, this location is terrible and will not honor any reservation you make. Stay away.

I’m very disgusted with the service i’ve received with this company. What was supposed to be a easy transition with renting with this company ended up being an distasteful experience. Me and my husband had came to this establishment to rent a truck when the customer service rep Jyanna was being very unprofessional with my husband. I had respectfully told her I didn’t like how she was flirting with him in my face repetitively.We ended up leaving because the professionalism was very distasteful. A few days later i was informed by my husband that Jyanna had found my husband via instagram and sent him some very inappropriate pictures and videos. I am very disgusted with this company and the employees they decide to hire. I will be in contact with the head of human resources of your establishment branch and will ensure this matter gets resolved i am truly disgusted.

Excellent customer service.This is a very busy location and has the most equipment available in the area.My most recent rental I was able to get my box truck in less then ten minutes. That is quick for any rental place.Thank you to the staff.

If I could give Zero Stars I would. This place is horrible. Expect to waste hours and hours of your time and get something totally different from what you expected and no responsibility from UHaul to honor what you booked and what they told you. The staff here are untrained and useless. Nice but unhelpful

Employees have to be more respectful and if the customer is asking for something they should not say “Oh if I do that I will lose my jod” instead they should pick up the phone and call the manager. Is not necessary for the customer to look for a solution on their own. It’s call customer service. The employees need to be trainee on how to be professional. Also they give me the dirtiest truck they could find. And gas savers forget about it.

Black guy that took my rental return was being extremely rude and aggressive. Threatened me too because I said the truck was dirty when I got it, which it was. Manager didn’t do anything about it. Did a reverse charge on my card cause no way I was paying for that disgusting truck and horrible service they gave me.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! This place allows day workers to come inside the office and pretend to act like staff/management. If you tell a real manager what happened, they act like nothing happened even though they pretend to care. And forget getting a refund for less than professional service.

The service from the Gardena location was GOOD! My complaint is with the call center operators quoting a price for fuel (propane) only to have the location charge me .32 cents per gal more. When I asked Marcus why I was charge 3.11 and not the quoted price of 2.79 I was told the person I spoke to did not work at this location as he was in a call center.Another employee chimed in with it use to be 2.79 a while ago. Now keep in mind this was a Sunday at 4:30pm (close at 5:00pm) and the transaction was already completed. I called the Number listed online for the Gardena location and again reached the call center. I explained what happened and was told that there pricing info is not always up to date and he could ask the location to call me . I declined as I was still at the location and suggested they not Quote prices they dont honor Especially when they went out of there way to contact the location to let them know I was on my way.In closing I believe this is common practice(bait and switch).as:1) There was no indication I was calling a call center and not the actual location.2) There was no direct.contact info available.3) The Operator made no attempt to verify the pricing while informing the location of my pending visit.U Haul Corporate should at least make up the difference of $11.84 if for no other reason, for wasting my time writing this review.Sincerely, Tired of LiarsUPDATE: I Guess i should consider myself lucky. I Just checked there website and the posted price for Alternative fuel (propane) is $3.23 per gal. I reserved a truck 5/15 for a 5/24 apartment move, to be picked up in Santa Monica. I was contacted by a representative less than two days before my pickup to tell me that I could no longer pick up a truck at the agreed location and instead would have to drive >hour to get there (meaning, given its a pandemic and I am picking up a truck, someone else has to drive me an hour there). I didnt receive so much as an apology and was instead blamed for my own error, there having been a line somewhere in the form confirmation email from UHaul stating that the location was subject to change. Unfortunately, given the absence of notice from UHaul and the fact Ive hired movers and planned my familys memorial day weekend around the move, theres nothing I can do about it. The best part is that UHaul has the truck I reserved at the location I reserved, but is unwilling to rent THAT truck out other than for two-way trips. In sum, because UHaul (a logistics company) is unable to manage the logistics of its inventory, Im put in the position of doing their job for them, and traveling to their preferred location (putting myself and an Uber driver at risk given the pandemic). Ive dealt with poor customer service before but this - and then blaming the customer for being silly enough to expect UHaul to honor its commitment - takes the cake.

I’ve never been one to leave a business review but wow I am so furious and disappointed with what should have been a quick and easy experience.Went in this location after spending 40 minutes at another UHaul location RIGHT around the corner whose system seemed too outdated to accept my simple $10 debit transaction,But I was told at this second location that the card reader was broke and cash was required. Several of us disappointedly walked away to get cash.Came back 7 minutes later with enough cash for my simple $7 rental and was told an extra $60 deposit would be required for purchasing with cash... which was my only option since THEIR machine was broken... and NO mention of the extra deposit money was mentioned when I was initially told I would need to go get cash to proceed.I’m not sure if the workers were entertained by potential customers walking in and out of the store unable to make their purchases or what, but wow what a waste of time due to lack of professionalism.

After reserving online and being given the wrong location to go to, including on the emailed confirmation they sent me, customer service at this location was only passable. They didnt thoroughly or accurately check mileage before (unfortunately, I was so frustrated by then, I didnt either), nor did they check the cleanliness or condition of the cargo area after returning. I had to pay for mileage not driven, and Id better NOT have to pay for any damage I didnt do.

Staff could be more helpful overall Im happy I got a new truck but truck windows had hand prints all over passenger window and the back was dirt with items in the back some certain rods and a light fixture metal and the truck had a funky smell in the driver cab like bad milk.

A lady hung up in my face because I guess I was asking too many questions. So I had to call back and I spoke with someone else. And the man who took down information in the truck acted like he couldnt speak a single word. He just kept holding out his hand and singnaling all the way up until the last minute after I excepted the payment method and he gave me a fake thanks. They all suck and I will never go back. 🙄

Terrible customer service! The general manager Doug and Ms. Deitrich Barber do not know how to deal with the public and are extremely rude. Doug is incompetent as well... he made at least 5 separate errors on 2 reservations I booked through him! Wouldnt have even known if I didnt call customer service to have them verify my reservations. I will NEVER set foot in there again. Reservations were changed to the Inglewood location where they know how to treat people and give great customer service.

Horrible service gave me a truck on E and when i asked to see if the other truck in lot had more gas since i did not want to have to go to a gas station the lady was so rude she said she could not help me. i would have to walk outside and check the other trucks myself and then would have to wait to be helped again. Zero customer service each and everytime. I sent my mom another time to return boxes we did not use. My mom is 60 yrs old and the male worker refused to help her carry the items. Unacceptable!

Nothing special. No serious complaints. Everyone seems a bit too relaxed and unprofessional but they are friendly. Ill take that over rudeness any day. Equipment is in good shape but make sure they do a pre checkout inspection with you. I could have been charged for a small dent that the worker completely missed and didnt mark down. Just be thorough with them. They wont give you attitude, but they should take thier jobs more seriously.

Customer service sucks! There are people looking for jobs that would be happy working there unlike the young man who helped us. We would ask him questions he would disregard them and give us a blank stare, made us feel uncomfortable. Im taking my business elsewhere!
