This supermarket is indeed the best when it comes to providing products and its services. Im so thankful because this place truly has it all. From imported products and many more. I was really having the best time here because the place was so amazing and everything else was perfect. Good job, everyone! Thank you so much!

This supermarket is one of the lowest priced when it comes to their meats like chicken, beef, pork, and fish. They have a huge selection of fish in which they will cut and gut for you free of charge. They have fresh seafood which is a must! Even when I got myself the frozen clams, it was bomb diggity!! Garlic butter clams! I get my chicken wings from there, also little smokies sausages that I wrap Im bacon, also sea bass that I stuff with garlic butter and scallions. Before camping, I go to this supermarket and you should also!!! And check out the pre-marinated teriyaki pork skewers! BBQ and beer!!!!

This market is big, much bigger than other Asian markets that I usually go at around the Bolsa area. One thing I dont like about this market is the light, not only does it not have enough light but also they leave the lights flickering, made me feel uncomfortable. Anyway, just figured out they have a fresh bakery station, looks pretty good tho.

First time for this market. Wasnt happy because food wasnt fresh. Cashier was mean to customers even he did not know the price of the sandwiches. He pulled out the paper that had prices on it and put the wrong prices on my items. Will be my first and last time in this market too. That could explain why this market super empty before noon (compared to Dalat supermarket which is only 5 minutes away).

Pretty good nearby Vientamese market. They have all the conventional groceries and packaged goods that you expect. The inside is relatively clean but not too clean that its inauthentic. Service can be slow depending on how many registers they have open but they also gave me a $2 credit for next time. Am definitely going to continue shopping here. Parking is spacious. Products are fair. Organization is logical.

Ive only been twice, but I gotta say, its always an amazing time. Its so different from any other store/marketplace Ive been to. They have stuff Ive never seen before. And dont get me started on the fresh seafood area, that place has so many different types of fish, even some I had never even heard of. Not to mention they have chicken hearts in the regular meat section. Whats so special about that? You may ask. Its special because it means that if my future hognose gets picky, I can see if hell take those. They have meats at half the price of your average market. I cant imagine going anywhere else to be honest. They have it all. They even have aisles dedicated to cookware. Now try finding a Ralphs or a Stater Bros with an aisle or two just for pots and pans. Now Im no market expert, but the AA Market is the best place to go to.

Review №81

This is a Vietnamese market that is quickly becoming Latinized. Hint: if you want a GOOD Latinx market, go two miles south on Harbor to Northgate at First Street, or another little ways to the one at McFadden. The meat there is SUPER fresh; the veggies are great even though some strike me as a little overpriced.Whats fresh and directly in season is great, though.AA Mart is Latinizing, but theyre not doing it well. They used to have a great mini food court with different kinds of Asian food (I remember Filipino; cant remember the rest) but its now gone, replaced by a piss-poor imitation of a Mexican hot food counter. The bakery used to have some really nice Asian and American type stuff; last time I went they had a very small, pitiful-looking supply of pan dulces, some pineapple pastries I wouldnt touch with a ten-foot pole, and the only nod to Asian baking was a stack of sad-looking egg tarts. I love egg tarts but, no. Again, for GOOD Latinx food, Northgate. For good Asian pastries, theres an 85° Degree Bakery at Brookhurst and Westminster.I did ask the bakery lady if the store was switching focus away from being an Asian market and she said No, the owners just want to make more money. One moneymaker in a GOOD way is the nifty jewelry/accessory/gift shop as you come into the store. Pretty things :) CLEAN AREAS, when cleanliness can be hit or miss here. But, on to the Asian food. They have a big supply of Asian vegetables including lots of interesting greens I recognize but dont know the Vietnamese names for. The quality of the veg? Could be better. Sure the napa is inexpensive, but the edges might be drying out. Last time I bought rambutan there (the little red things that are like a lychee inside and hairy space monsters on the outside) they only had them in giant bags and the freshness was a crapshoot looking at the bags. Got them home and they turned out to be dried out and gross. The one thing I will get in that department is my packaged mushrooms; they do have the best prices on enoki and beech mushrooms and enoki come shrink-wrapped and last a long time in the fridge. For GOOD INEXPENSIVE Asian vegetables go to AR Market at Garden Grove and Gilbert (youre welcome.)I use boneless chicken thigh meat a lot and usually get just a little bit on the day its to be cooked. I got some there because I was tired and couldnt make it to Northgate. Slimy, fatty, UGH. Otherwise the meat department is going cross-cultural, but if you want innards for your Asian food (hey, I like some innards, just not pig uterus) you can find them in the freestanding butcher cases.I WILL buy things like instant udon (they do have the best prices on that,) some of my sauces and spices, dry noodles, and tea. They have a great selection of tea. Also, they do have my favorite pho stock that isnt faux stock, but they have tons of imitation meat flavored soup and stock so READ THE LABELS.I used to shop at AA Mart a lot. I learned to cook Asian food from a Chinese grandma (my clients Waipo) and AA mart does have a lot of things that work in different Asian cooking styles. The prices arent outrageous, but the quality has gone downhill so much that I have to REALLY REALLY want something (like my favorite brand of five spice) to go in there at all anymore. Also, the cleanliness comes across as a little grungy, probably because of the less than fresh veg and the deteriorating meat case. Just sayin. The floors and restaurant supply area arent great either. Incidentally, I scoured that store for chopsticks and even asked; where the clerk said they should have been? Nothing like. Ended up going down the street to Daiso. All in all, its gone way downhill trying to be too many things for too many demographics. You WILL find much better Latinx food (and meat in general, and fresh pastries) at Northgate and better veg at AR in Koreatown.Too unfocused/quality deteriorating...just sad. Dont go here if you can drive 5 - 10 minutes on Harbor or GG Blvd.
