The store is always busy with long lines, but that’s because it’s so Close to the beach and many people coming into town. So I understand that. The store is a bit unorganized and low on products. The employees are always friendly and help. It’s a smaller Walmart than usual, but I guest it’s useful. I never have a problem finding a parking spot which is great. Those are the reasons why I rated this store with four stars.

2 checkers and the store was packed. If you are looking for the Twilight Zone, I have found it! You can read through two magazines as you wait on line.Or half way through a Romance Paperback.

I arrived at this Walmart along with my wife in order to purchase a few clothing items. What can I say, they had everything I needed at a reasonable price. I didnt interact with any employees but the store was in nice condition. The restrooms were clean and despite the fact the store was relatively busy we were able to quickly checkout through the self service.

The store was renovated sometime since my last visit years ago…it was much nicer than I expected.

I have about enough of them super stores we have this huge store and they three lanes open they wont you do it yourself well I am retired and I am not a employee of Walmart now if they want to pay me to do my own they are going to have to pay me or give me a big discount, I dont see adjusting the prices for full service and self service would be less expensive just like at the gas stations in the old days I was in that store for three hours my ice cream and frozen food were melted. I spent 400 dollars and it was just afful expensive experience. By the way what is up at Kroger bread 2.42 for a loaf of bread and thats with a card where as at Walmart 88 cents a loaf.

Easy to access in Galveston, but overcrowded w tourist. Possibly C-19 risk. Too many people. Tx City is less crowded but road construction makes it easy to miss the right exit.

Will not price match items that are shipped in sold by Walmart on their website the biggest joke of all is you cant really shop anywhere else in Galveston except for target which is also overpriced l everybody here they just trash the store to close down. Only wants to do self check out has only 1 to 3 registers opened what is the point so you can hire less people and charge us theyre less people and charges more money

Very bad place especially after 8:00 Pm . Be careful lot of people sit there in their cars fir no reason . Safety is the issue there . However inside this store is just like any other Walmart super store . But you will never find quality food just like you never find quality or good stuff in any Walmart store . By using American flag and other logos to exploit the common man, Walmart contribute the most damaged to American industries by bringing almost everything cheap products from China and India . Walmart is cheap compared to other stores but it also keep cheap and lower end products labels . I would recommend to anyone who doesn’t care for the product and service. There is no service anymore….period

Good inventory and prime location. That said, the way it operates gives you every reason to shop Amazon instead. One cashier open and long line to give them money. Question for management… Why would you not have at least 2 to 3 people as cashiers for people who have more than just a few items?

Consistently a disaster of a store. They keep pushing people to self check out. Today there was ONE line open which was 11 items and under-cigarette line. ONE!This is a constant issue at this store. My opinion-Go elsewhere so your food doesn’t melt and you waste your time.

I used my debit card there and somehow it was used for a fraudulent transaction, Walmart you need to check your people better or you have allowed this to happen. Luckily my bank caught it and locked my card after a place in California tried to scam me for 4 withdrawals !!

I have rarely seen a Walmart as consistently busy as this one. Right on the seawall, it has everything you would expect from a Walmart, but also an extensive souvenir section and also beach toys, umbrellas, sunscreen, towels, etc. The lines are long but move quickly. They seem well-stocked, in spite of the volume of shoppers. And it is fairly clean.

It has alot more stuff than most Walmarts they have actually tortillas shells from Mexico along with a bunch of other things

This spot has anything you want for the beach and we really enjoyed shopping there.

When I went to this Walmart, I happened to only have cash on me. No money in the bank. I was astonished to learn that there was only ONE register in the entire store that was accepting cash. Never had that happen before.

I order groceries online, for some reason they always say they are out of stuff and when I go in after they load my groceries to find maybe replacements for what they didn’t have I find that they do have it so I’m guessing shopper just doesn’t want to look for the items or just didn’t find it, Idk, but I mean sometimes they are out of something but not all and it’s a little frustrating bc I find it myself. But they do most of the shopping for me so that’s helpful in itself and I’m grateful they have it where I don’t have to go in and shop for everything even if I have to go in and pick up those few things they say they were out of and if I mark for substitution it’s usually a replacement that is just as good or even better so I’m happy about that! 😉 Fridge is full and that’s what’s matter to me bc I want my granddaughter to have what she wants and needs to stay healthy and happy ‼️😁

As far as Walmarts go, this one was right up there. Clean with well stocked shelves and plenty of self check out lanes. Large beer and wine selection. Great produce choices as well.

Had rv parked out in boonies before we got out a guy came and asked us nicely if we were going in and told us if we left rv for any reason but shopping it would be towed.**** So dont leave your vehicle for anything but shopping. *****Walmart ok all regular stuff and pricing

Excellent food, service was not as good as food but was still ok. Just a busy time of day on a holiday week. Just like going to grandmas house! I love it, have been to a few different locations, all excellent & will continue to eat there when I can.

Where to start? Night time and parking lot was dark, perhaps three lamps working. Not safe feeling. We needed three or four things and wound up missing some of them. Staff were not very quick to the help. There was a locked display case selection I needed something from and pushed the call button several times. Nothing. We had to flag a worker down. Bummer.

Store design is better than usual, the deli located in the back is much better imo. The store was clean and for such a larger footprint than usual (this location is much bigger than many, many other Walmart Supercenters), the store appeared to be manged well. I like the roving security in the parking lot!!

I would give a 5-star but they need more organization here. I really couldnt find what I was looking for. Maybe next time.

I would normally put a 4 but the last few times Ive gone its been hard to find anything. People trash it and its almost like it never gets fixed. Otherwise its not a bad Walmart to go to.

We have mostly used the curbside pickup feature through ordering online. This Walmart tends to have most of you could possibly want, but some of its departments do seem a tad small for a Walmart (like the cosmetic department) of its size. For most, this wont be an issue though. The layout is a bit weird however. Probably the first in 50+ Walmarts Ive been to where the deli is separated from the produce section in the front, it is now in the back where they also have the packaged bacon that isnt in the pork meat section. They have a nice selection of clothes and outdoor wear and outdoor tools though. Ive also returned items with no issue, if there was a line it moved pretty fast normally and I was just given a refund each time with almost no questions asked. Overall, this is a decent Walmart compared to a lot out there.

Out of most things, store was a mess, got a bottle of champagne that was $20 more expensive than I ever paid before. BATHROOM WAS HORRENDOUS. Two of four stalls out of service.

Walmart always has what I need, but the people who work there could be more helpful instead of running the other way when they see you might have a question! Especially when everything is locked up!

Never again will I go to this tire service. Needed a flat repair. Noone ahead of me so my car got in immediately yet it took the guy an hour to do a simple repair.

OVERCROWDED!!! Too many people for 1 small store. Get delivery its easier and by the time you waste gas getting there and back, waiting in lines to park, walking 2 miles to the door to find out there are no buggies and, no more walmart grocery bags you used to buy for $1-$3 anymore. Then pretending your a linebacker to get down isles and back out again. Also, of course with so many ppl theyve sold out of over half the stuff you went for. Need I go on, I would skip the curbside pickup just because getting in and out of the Walmart parking lot is too much for my patience to handle. Just order delivery and, dont forget to tip the delivery driver who went through all of that for you, found your house with absolutely no directions from you and, lugged your groceries to your front door in the scorching heat! You would want a tip if it was you. Be Kind!

Shelves are always pretty bare and the produce section is horrible.

Wal-Marts days may be coming to an end, but this store was clean, unlike most. The shoppers eere well dressed and polite. Now finding a someone to assist is no longer possible, one simply must find it themselves. Checkout was fast and pleasant.

I love shopping at Walmart, they usually have everything that you need in one place. I needed some old school metal hangers because I locked my keys in my car. I googled Walmart and they said they had hangers, but when I got there they didnt. Really didnt expect them to have them because a lot of places dont even carry those anymore, unless you going to the cleaners they have them.

Needs a friendlier staff, they might not be willing to go a little extra to help you find what you’re looking for

We have spent at least $500 a month at this store for several years, but Ill be damned if I will spend another dime in this store after the way my wife was treated today. We will be driving off the island to shop at HEB in Texas City from now on because of this, rudist employees ever.

One of the busiest Walmart I have sen in TX. Despite that, it was clean, well stocked and checkout didn’t take that long. Staffed looked tired and not very enthusiastic but these days that is everywhere.
