I was in the store yesterday, October 5, 2021. I needed paint that matched up the exterior paint that is already on my house. They matched it up perfectly. So now, I can touch up the exterior spots where paint is peeling without having to paint the entire house.

Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful!Answered all my questions and helped me make choices that I am very happy with. Their customer service is outstanding!

The Sherwin-Williams Store in Galesburg, IL has always been very professional and knowledgeable about their products! Recently I had a fireplace beam that I wanted to try to stain to match a certain color. Faith was great and really took time to explain to me how I could do that! She went above and beyond to make sure I got the color I wanted and needed! Great customer service!!

Bob and his staff at the Galesburg store have always been great help in mixing and matching the paint I need for an apartment complex. Theyve also been good for my personal needs with my home.

My wife painted a couple of rooms in the house this past two weeks and she had made several trips elsewhere and didnt find the right color. She had 7 or 8 trips of 20 -25 miles one way trying to get the right colors. She went to the Sherwin-Williams store in Galesburg and got the right shades she wanted on her first stop. The guys in the store were great working with us. We have went there 4 or 5 times to get paint and have not had to return any of it.

The staff is excellent: knowledgeable, efficient, and always as patient as necessary. The paint is high-quality, too. I love the little jars of test paint -- to be sure the color is right for the lighting where it will be applied.

Helpful young lady, BUT, I was telling her about having purchased 4 qt samples of various shades in Peoria on Sat n only 1 color worked so was there to get a couple lighter shades samples before making a decision. Imagine my shock when the price was only a few cents LESS than Id just paid Saturday. I told her Im sorry but I cant pay that much for 2 vs 4 qts less than 48hrs earlier. She said oh, that was a sale then. Amazingly the young man in Peoria never mentioned that they were on sale when I purchased the 4, so I was impressed with the cost & service (there in Peoria). I asked her since shed already mixed them up IF she could go ahead & sell them for 4.99 ea vs me not buying them at all. She stated no she couldnt do that, but fine if I didnt want them. (Whew!) So I left with no paint samples & they completely lost the sale. Needless to say, I will check elsewhere for prices on samples. Plus I will always ask 1st here before wasting my time & theirs now that I do know they have sales & not always the same price.I just happened to be in Galesburg & decided to swing over to this store rather than wait to go to Peoria store. Courtesy & helpfulness great, shouldve & couldve mentioned was I aware that my sat purchase items were on sale then, but not now. I was the only person in the store other than a man in the office, so I just felt like a small heads up regarding the price when discussing 1st time purchasing from them was Sat & how reasonable I found them.UPDATE: I received a lovely email from Najib, the manager of the Prospect Ave store in Peoria Heights offering to make it right for me. I stopped in today (8/21) & had a great conversation with him not only about product, but he helped advice me on a future purchase for the project the product samples referenced above were for. He literally GAVE me those 2 samples & most of all thru his conversation he created a ton of good will & I will purchase the necessary paint for our project from him. The Prospect Store definitely gets a 5☆ rating for their handling of this situation & taking the time to explain a lot of their practices. I really appreciated that & his generous gift of the samples were above & beyond anything expected. So the customer service there I must rate 5☆ & I DEFINITELY WILL RECOMMEND THAT STORE.
