Galesburg Slumberland offers an excellent furniture shopping experience. Staff is very helpful and attentive yet allowed my wife and I to look and shop at our leisure and pace. When we had questions, they were quick to assist. Overall an excellent shopping experience and they have a nice variety of furniture selections at very good prices.

I had a good time at Slumberland..They had the heat massage recliner that I Was looking for so I bought 2.

Salesperson never called to let us know furniture would be delivered 4 weeks early. Even though they specifically said they would. Drivers called and informed me they would be there in 20 minutes. This was just as I was preparing to leave the house. Had no one scheduled to help carry furniture in. I expressed my total frustration at this. Told them due to this they would be bringing furniture inside. Salesperson said they would be giving us a courtesy delivery and assembly. This is not a courtesy. It was what they should have done to make up for not notifying us of early delivery They totally inconvenienced us. We rearranged our entire schedule for that day. Salesperson should not agree or make commitments that they cannot uphold. Oh salesperson said they dont do scheduling. Again dont promise it if you cant follow through.

Ordered kitchen table and chairs with bench over 60+ days ago. Still aint here. When I ordered it told us 30 days it will be here. They give excuses and no solutions. Trying to blame it on the virus. I welcome the owners to call and make it right but not going to hold my breath. Absolutely will not recommend anybody on ordering anything from there. Can get in faster if I made it myself.Like I said more excuses. There is always something being blamed on COVID 19. If you knew it was going to take long you could of offered a different set. One that was available. Anyway please dont go there and order anything it will take you FOREVER

My husband and i needed a new couch. We checked a couple other stores in town but the prices were outrageous. We wanted to stay away from Slumberland because we figured the prices were twice as ridiculous. Not the case! We got just the couch we wanted, at a wonderful affordable price. The assistant manager, Luke, was so nice. Not pushy at all. After we purchased the couch, i took my mom out there, as shes been wanting a lift chair. Again, dealt with Luke. Wonderful customer service. Would definately recommend Slumberland!

We ordered a couch two reformers and a love seat in January to say told us 60 days then they said it will be in by March then April then may then July and now it’s august and our final piece our couch should be in they said but I doubt it but I’m still hoping

We purchased adjustable theater seats. The item suited our purpose perfectly. We can watch the TV mounted above the fireplace without straining our necks.

The staff was extremely helpful. They allowed me to try before I purchased, I’ve called everywhere locally to get a power lift chair for my mom. Very few had any in stock or couldnt even order any. Her current chair that she’s had over 10 years has failed. Most places in the area has reported a three to six month wait on the lift chairs do to COVID. Not many stores are able to keep any on the show room floor as there is a high demand for them these days. Slumberland had some on the floor to try out which allowed me to pick the right comfort and size. Buying local was a plus to support our local community, you get to test, feel and see what you’re purchasing verses online. They had some ordered to come in first week of April 2021 which is a bonus, however they did have to place a disclaimer out there it could take up to three months. We are hopeful that the April shipment will be on time and they will be able to call us. We was impressed with the no pressure, no sales pitch just straight local people helping their customers. I was very pleased with the service. The products are solid, well constructed, extremely comfortable. The prices were very comparable to the other stores I visited. All lift chairs were also on sale which helped the back pocket as well. The show room surprised me with the amount of selection they had in house and the quality of the furniture.Mark

My husband and I were in the market for new furniture. Luke was helpful and efficient. We walked out with a beautiful dining table, a headboard, and recliner. The wait is 12-14 weeks, due to the pandemic, but we totally understand. Very rude!!!! If they are going to tell people to put masks over there nose then they need to address to everyone. I seen the couple that came in after my husband and I didnt have masks on at all..... and nothing was said to them about putting on masks. They just zero in on my husband. So if u are going to address putting on masks address it to everyone not just who u think needs masks. Will never buy anything in that store ever!!!!! My business will go elsewhere. I think the lady that was rude her name was Haley.

Wonderful Furniture on display. Quick Helpful Responce from salesperson to assist. Order in April and paid in full for my purchase and for full delivery of couch, loveseat, accent chair and two side tables. Initially told arrival time last of May First of June then pushed back to last of June First part of July. Trying to be patient but dealing with an empty living room going on possible 3 months is very trying on anyone’s patients

Employees where not the friendliest, got a clearensed mattress and its the wrong its hard and i was sappose to get a soft one. I have a bad back. It sinks in the middle.

Bought a adjustable bed on April 14th and was told 2-3 weeks for delivery, than on April 23rd was called and asked what day I wanted for delivery May 4th or May 11th so I took the 4th and then on the 4th I hadnt heard anything from them so I called and they tell me there was some mix up and I still have another 2 weeks after I got rid of the bed I was using!!!! So first and last time I ever buy anything from Slumberland!!! Big mistake

Had a great experience. When we first walked in Dirk introduced himself asked if we needed any help. We let him know was just wanting to see what there was that we wasnt sure what style wanted yet. He was friendly and let us know if needed help hed be at desk. Wasnt one that hovers over you not letting you feel comfortable to look. When we had questions he helped answer them and got us what would be our final price so could take and discuss to make final decision. This is reason we decided to go ahead and get from Slumberland. Now to wait for that call for it to be in which is only down fall but not anyones fault because of everything going on this year.

Such a disappointment. This place has left an unsatisfactory impression on me. I chose slumberland with high hopes of finally being satisfied with Galesburg Businesses, instead i was given the run around about dates of expected delivery. Its well beyond the alloted time for which i was told to expect my order. Half of my order arrived on time to the store as it yielded a faster timeframe. The person who i spoke with told me he was the Store Manager when in fact he was not. So for this untrustworthy act i decided to terminate my business with them. A refund was granted according to Dirk.

Incredible selection and fair prices. The salesman didnt pester us at all. We wandered and took our time til we were ready with our selection. $59 felivery fee works great since we live an hour away.

The actual shopping experience was fine. The manager then called and said they could not deliver due to COVID-19. Said they would call back and reschedule when operations returned to normal. I see online that they are offering curbside no contact delivery for free when they were charging me $99.99 for delivery... a service they said they couldnt provide at that time. So I contacted them and told them I wanted my furniture delivered. The manager called me back didnt even say where she was calling from with a super nasty attitude. Any time I talked she would literally yell over the top of me so I hung up on her. She never tried to resolve the issue and literally tried to blame the situation on me!! Later I got a call from the Warehouse manager who nicely set up the delivery. I had asked for a higher up manager to contact me and I then started receiving text messages from THE SAME MANAGER.... VERY WEIRD as a very LAST resort she refunded the $99.99 for a delivery service they literally were not fulfilling in the first place as it was white glove and they were doing curbside which on their website is FREE. She should have offered this FROM THE START as they were billing me for a service they were not providing. The area manager wrote a nice email but really did not try to save the relationship. I literally only had bought my living room furniture in this purchase and have an entire house to fill as I did not move furniture with us when I bought my new house. I guess I will go somewhere else for the rest of it because I will not risk that situation again. I have looked online and other people have complained about how rude this same lady is. You would think the store would take these complaints seriously but they do not. Also they asked for a power review but wouldnt publish it because I wrote about my bad experience in it.... Pro Tip: NEVER buy from a company that censors reviews. That means they are only seeking positive reviews to look good not to actually provide quality goods and service!

Looking for bar stools for our kitchen/family room counter and getting frustrated not finding anything. Stopped in Slumberland sure that they would be out of our price point. Boy were we wrong! Super salesman was able to find just the right chairs on their website at an awesome price! Plus he had some in the back for a customer to pick up and showed them to us.. they were perfect! Now we just wait for them to arrive in a few days! My husband was even on board with them and loved the price so much, he ordered an extra one! (And I tell him he has moths in his wallet, ha!!) So glad we came to Slumberland! But we ARE loyal customers in the past anyway. So far we have gotten a mattress set, 2 easy chairs, a lift chair, a couch and a loveseat from them and are happy with everything! Thanks, Slumberland! Maybe youre called Slumberland because you put our cares to rest!

Good Help finding the right bed can not weight to get it

My dad needed a good recliner to elevate his legs..I suggested Slumberland first because I knew theyd deliver. We were greeted and asked if we needed help. He told us where most of the recliners were and said to let him know if we needed him. I loved that! We sat in many chairs and he finally picked one. He got an additional 20% off. He chose to get the 5 year warranty that covered rips, stains, burns and most importantly reclining mechanism. If he doesnt need the warranty after 5 years he will get the 99 bucks back in the form of store credit. Win-win! At the end he said he found a 25 dollar coupon and added that. The ONLY bad thing is that its gonna take a couple weeks before he gets it. They will deliver it right to his door. This was the Galesburg, Illinois store. They were fantastic. I noticed in there they have chairs that are 900 bucks and chairs that are just over a hundred bucks, seriously stuff for every price range.I highly recommend!

I am giving a one star because I cant give anything else below that. The sales person assured us that if the adjustable bed and frame were not to our satisfaction that it could be returned. We were assured that shorter legs could be provided free of charge. Now I am told that the base cannot be returned. They will charge us $100 more for the shorter legs. A hundred bucks! We spent 2500 in that store and they cant provide shorter legs which probably cost 10 bucks at cost. The corporate office does not care. Its a we have your money, so F you situation My mom is 82 and cant get into the bed she just bought. They dont care. Buyer beware. I will not be purchasing the bed and recliner that I had planned to this week. Nor will I ever step foot in that store again.

Went to a neighboring discount store to buy a sofa and their displayed model was out of stock with no idea when they would come back. Walked next store to Slumberland and found a very similar sofa of higher quality for around the same price, and it would be in the store in three days. Friendly and very helpful staff too.

Kylen was very helpful when we were there picking out a new mattress for our bed. He was also very patient with our 5 yr old son who wanted to test out the beds too. He gave us space when we needed it to talk in private about which matress we liked, and he never used any pressure tactics to get us to buy right away.

The leadership of this store has been fantastic to work with. Purchased some furniture which developed some problems... not Slumberlands fault. The store managers went above and beyond to make sure all problems were resolved! My initial purchase from Slumberland was when it was independently and the owner dropped the ball. Once corporate Slumberland leaders took the operation over they quickly stepped up and resolved my issues which resulted in my making more purchases with confidence! Tanyas had been fantastic to work with!
