Wonderful service. They packed everything with added padding and shrink wrap. My dining room table and glass China cabinet were delivered in perfect condition. The team sent was fantastic. My stuff was on all levels of a split level, so it was stairs all the way. And they organized my stuff for a trip to my storage unit first and then to my new place, which was the third floor of a townhouse. They knocked it out. Super nice guys.

From the initial contact with the office team it was a very smooth process. They requested an estimate of our items, and provided a fair price compared to the national franchises. Their team showed up on time, was very friendly, and moved our furniture and belongings efficiently and without and damage. Overall it was a great experience working with Two Men and a Truck.

I used Two Men and a Truck (well we actually used three men) to help my wife and I load a couple of Pods, there were some issues on the day of the loading (I wont go into the details) I will just say that they solved the issues and I would highly recommend this company. Was moving from Gaithersburg to Beltsville. Had more items than expected because of boxes. The movers were very efficient and helpful. They hide it the entire truck loaded up with everything that I needed in roughly an hour and were halfway finished by the time I got to the new apartment. I will recommend these guys at the drop of a hat. Also the office staff is very responsive and helpful.

Needed a in-house move from 2nd floor outside into a storage pod very quickly. Got a quote with-in minutes and was the only quote I received as other companies didnt even respond. But neither here or there because this was by far worth the investment. The office staff got me on the schedule and were able to fit my time frame which was perfect. Courtney and Aaron were terrific and very professional and were awesome to be around. They had fun, communicated every step of the way and just overall were great genuine guys. I was quoted initially about a 2 to 2.5 hour job and these guys were machines and completed it in about 1.25 to 1.5 hours and stacked everything neatly in our storage areas. Would recommend this company and these guys. If we need moving in the future will be giving these guys a call again and hopefully asking for Courtney and Aaron again!

Very, very disappointed. This company has been a letdown before, during, and after the move. I will not recommend them to anyone.I had to move apartments on short notice as a result of COVID, so I went to work researching moving companies to try and find one that was professional and affordable. This was my first move and unfortunately I was doing it all on my own, as my boyfriend was in the hospital getting chemo and my family was in quarantine. Two Men & A Truck had great reviews and gave me a good quote, so I went with them. That was when the trouble started. When I called to get a quote, I hadn’t finished packing yet, so I couldn’t estimate the number of boxes I would have for the movers. I did mention all of my furniture. The representative Ashley told me that she would put down was standard for a one bedroom apartment. I figured these are experts, she’ll probably get it right. She said I’d need three movers and gave me my quote.When the movers arrived, they immediately looked at my things and said my quote had been estimated incorrectly and that the price would be higher. They didn’t know how much higher because they didn’t know how long it would take them to move my things and they charge by the hour. Fine, I said, I’ll figure something out. The movers moved my things quickly but carelessly, with boxes being stacked higher than the movers heads and some items being thrown down from the balcony. Again, I said nothing. The team lead said I’d be reimbursed up to $11,000 if anything was broken, so I tried my best not to worry. One of my items actually broke while they were moving it, and I had to put it back together myself. Not a great sign, but it was plastic, so again I said nothing. There were more red flags like them not parking where I instructed them to park (which made the move take longer because they had to walk farther) and them not communicating that there were certain items they couldn’t put in the truck. Honestly there were so many weird regulations about what they could and couldn’t do that should’ve been mentioned beforehand, but I blame the company for that, not the movers themselves.Fast forward to the new place. The price is $100 higher than the max price from the quote. Not the worst. I start to arrange furniture and notice some minor damage on a wooden shelf and a wooden drawer. Clearly none of my furniture had been wrapped and had been rubbing against some hard surface in the truck. These were both pieces I’d gotten from yard sales, so I don’t sweat it. About a week into unpacking (still mostly on my own) my apartment floods. I have to repack everything I’ve unpacked and move everything into the bathroom. The damage to the walls and floors takes a few weeks to repair and the whole time I’m living out of a suitcase. Finally, the damage is fixed and I can start to actually move in. That’s when I hear shifting pieces of ceramic in a box I’d handed to the team lead, looked him in the eye, and said “be careful, this one is fragile”. I open it and see that a baking dish given to me by my grandmother has been completely shattered. This is a box that was put in the kitchen totally separate from all of the boxes I had repacked and stuffed in the bathroom, so I knew it had been broken during the move. I called the company to ask about reimbursement only to be told by the manager Kayla that the reimbursement only applies if you call within 48 hours. This was never communicated to me at the time, and of course now there’s nothing they can do.Lesson learned. My sister had to use JK Moving company when she came home early from university last semester (due to COVID) and had no problem. I’ll try them next time.

I cannot say enough about Two Men and a Truck in Gaithersburg. This is the third time Ive used them, and I will keep coming back. For this move, they picked up furniture in two locations and delivered everything to my new home. From the start, the customer service was exceptional. Maggie took the time to understand my needs and provide a reasonable estimate. She communicated with me several times leading up to the move to clarify information and ensure I knew what to expect. On the day of the move, Anthony, Brandon and Jordan were on time, professional, and efficient while simultaneously being friendly and careful with my belongings. They put everything in place and reassembled items they had disassembled for transport. Somehow, even though Ive used them twice before, Two Men and a Truck in Gaithersburg continues to delight and amaze.

Last month we hired this service on a short-notice move. I was quoted a fair price (Around $600 at the 3hour minimum for what was essentially a 1br household move with a few oversized items and 20 or so boxes.)Courtney, Miguel, and Clearence arrived on time after giving me a heads-up call about 15 minutes prior. They were friendly, quick, and respectful of COVID safety measurements (wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing where possible) and managed to get everything into our new place (despite being up two flights of stairs) safe and sound and under three hours. The total time from start to finish was about two and a half hours.They really helped us out and made an incredibly stressful time way less terrible and maybe even a little fun. I would definitely call on this company again for any of my moving needs in the future.

The office staff were very helpful with all of my questions and concerns. The movers showed up early and were quick to unload a 26 truck into a 4 story townhouse with no damage to the furniture or walls. Overall Id move again just to use them again.

We used this Two Men and a Truck location a couple months ago to move from a 7th floor DC apartment to Maryland. I was concerned because this particular branch had some negative review on other sites. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. They were GREAT.The truck they sent was bigger than the truck promised. The guys were perfectly on time and hustled the whole day. They communicated well and were respectful of us and our stuff. They asked questions when they werent sure how to handle something. They were fast, down to business, professional.And the best part? The ending price was exactly in the middle of the quote range. 0 surprises, 0 problems.If you are moving these guys are cheaper and better than other local competition. Dont worry about the few negative reviews on Yelp. These guys are great and I will use them every time in the future.

I highly recommend this company. They were able to accommodate my request with less than three days notice, and were able to offer a short window for their arrival time. The driver called that morning to give me the estimated arrival time. One person came in to assess. There were two sets of steps which I had not shared when I placed the order. That did not seem to pose a problem for the gentlemen. They introduced themselves and quickly began the move. Delicate furniture was adequately protected with shrink wrap. They divided up duties to make the most efficient use of time. I have worked with many movers over the past six months and this crew/company was far and above anyone else. I wish I had used them with my initial downsizing. I wont hesitate to call them again for my next move in a few months. This was such a hassle free experience!

The movers were personable and professional. They took extra measures to protect our fragile furniture. We will certainly be using them for any future moves.

We paid for a complete pack and move. The moving team damaged our brand new mattress by ripping the protective packaging then dropping it in the mud and water. In addition the movers left items behind at our house which Ive since had to go back and retrieve. Im giving the company two stars rather than one because the office staff took some steps to try and rectify the problem, but it was too little too late,

I moved out of my apartment in Silver Spring, Maryland with the help of Andre, Jeremiah, and Andrew. They were great--super hard-working and very responsive. They toughed it out even through some unforeseen hurdles, such as a couch not fitting in an elevator due to apartment building elevator renovations and someone stealing our reserved parking spot for the move-in truck. They were very friendly, as well! The only downside was that whoever did the estimate for how much time it would take to pack and move forgot to take into account the walk down the long hallway to the elevator and to the loading dock, meaning that the estimate ended up being lower than the final price by a few hundred dollars--and that was after I actually packed up some things myself. Keep that in mind when the estimate is given. But the movers themselves were great. They really put effort and pride into their work, despite what must have been an exhausting day of lugging boxes and furniture quite some distance. I was impressed by the speed with which they wrapped furniture pieces.

I needed four heavy bookshelves moved from my front porch up one flight of stairs. The gentlemen arrived on time, they were very friendly and professional. They were very careful not to place the shelves where other items may be damaged. They saved my back and it was worth every penny to me. Thanks!

Had a major cross country move and thought we could trust this company based on reviews/bbb ratings. It was a mistake. Arrived at our new home to open boxes filled with unwrapped breakables with couch pillows on top for supposed cushioning. Completely unprofessional and have found several items that should have been packed with care, completely unusable now. Several boxes were packed as if there was no care to organization and safety. I would not use them again for any move.

I have used Two Men and a Truck in other locations and have just loved their service and have recommended them to others, but after my last experience I will never use them again.The day of the move I didnt think too poorly of the service but was rather upset that two of the three movers didnt even attempt to wear a mask. I understand its a warm day and theyre working hard, so we mostly just stayed out of their way. I thought they could have wrapped some of the furniture more thoroughly, but thankfully none of the furniture had more than the normal minor damage sustained during a move. They did put a fairly significant scratch in our new floors, but they assured me they would log a damage report and send someone out straight away to take care of it. Fine. They promised to fix their mistake.Thats where the problems got worse. They called the next day and left a very generic voicemail asking how the move went. I was driving to a funeral so didnt take the time to return what I thought was a survey call. Figured if they were calling to take care of the damage they would state that they were following up on an issue from the move.Called a week later to follow up and the office staff informed that they werent aware of any issues (the movers took and sent pictures and I heard them tell their manager there was an issue). Texted in new photos of the damage and expected a call back. Several days later and still have not heard anything. Meanwhile my new neighbor tells me that the driver damaged his drainage system and he had to fix it after they left. While I would have been mildly annoyed by the lack of pandemic awareness of the movers, poor wrapping of furniture and the damage done, if they had made it right they would have earned 4 stars.As it stands I feel like they completely dropped the ball and have had an atrocious lack of desire to fix their mistake. If you care about your stuff and your space, hire someone else.

An absolutely WONDERFUL experience from start to finish. The movers were professional but also enjoyed working with each other even under physically demanding work. The 3 movers handled our property with care as if it was their own, taking time to wrap furniture as needed to navigate two sets of 13 steps with a landing out if a basement condo. They were efficient, communicated well and were personable. We moved from PA to MD with much traffic en route. It was a long day but this team of 3 worked as a TEAM and were able to keep their energy level up. I would recommend this team and company over and over. I very much recommend this Moving Service.To begin, the meeting with the estimate was exactly what I needed. It was straightforward, informative and both sites were examined. I also wound up using them to ship long-distance items.The estimate provided covered what they expected, and it was very accurate in real life.The crew and truck showed up on time! They gave me a call in the morning to let me know when they will be there and they were accurate pretty much to the minute. They were professional, thoughtful and did not hesitate to ask questions along the way. They told me I could just sit back, relax and let them handle the move. It was very reassuring to hear as moving could be extremely stressful.When we arrived at location for the move in, they did a walk-through and recognized some potential challenges. When they ran into a potential impasse they stopped, called me over and explained what the concerns and the risks were. So I would give them NO STARS if I could. Beware their really lousy customer service!I had a terrible experience with this company! They simply did not honor their contract as promised, requiring me to hire a second moving company to successfully complete the job. The companys quality, responsiveness and professionalism were all lacking. They did not offer to compensate us, nor did they apologize. Truly a nightmare!

Two men and a truck was the best decision I made for moving. I’ve typically steered away from moving companies because I would think they would be way more expensive and there would be hidden fees, but if I’m being honest the price comes out fairly similar as moving myself with a uhaul. The movers were entertaining and professional, they always asked where I would like things put, and best of all I came below the low price of the quote. I moved from a 2 bedroom apt to another and it only took 3 hours with loading and unloading. Do yourself a favor, if your moving hire two men and a truck.

Just moved from Fairfax, VA to Clarksburg, MD. While we didnt have a ton of stuff, we definitely didnt want to do the move ourselves, again. I did a search for moving companies for an interstate move. I found Two Men and a Truck pretty quickly. I have not used them before, but I knew people that have years ago (so a different location). I have seen their trucks everywhere. So, I decided to get a quote. The quote process was super quick and easy. The representative on the phone was really nice, and the quote came back as expected. I was quoted for 8-9 hours of time, thinking that was a bit long. But, we did need to make a stop on the way to the new place to pick up a couch and other items at my in-laws. We also have a lot of stairs in the new place. The three guys showed up, during the COVID 19 pandemic, with their masks and gloves on. We did our best to distance as much as possible as well. They were all super nice and personable. They took a look around to see all the items, we got the paperwork done, and they were under way. Shortly enough, we were on our way to our next destination. The couch itself is a sectional made up of 2 recliners and one middle unit. They couldnt get it through the garage (in-laws are moving later on as well, so the garage was full). They just picked up the pieces, and took through the back yard and around the unit (which is a middle townhome). Once that and the other items were loaded, we were on our way again to our final destination. Our new home is a 3 flight townhome. We all joked around and just played it off when the item had to go all the way up to the master. They were honestly in such good spirits despite the climb and the heat (of course it would be the hottest day in May). From start to finish, the move was 4 hours, even with drive time. I was super impressed and so appreciative I cannot even begin to express it. When it came time to sign off, I wanted to ensure they got a very good tip. The issue was, the ATM ate my card the night before, so I had no cash. No worries, I was able to add it to the bill and it just got charged to my credit card. The move cost was so worth the money, I will not move by myself ever again (which hopefully will not be for another 15 years or so). Also, the guys earned their tip with their professionalism and great attitudes. I highly recommend Two Men and a Truck.

The worst of the worst. Stay away. They showed up 30 minutes late. The estimate on the number of trucks and number of movers that were needed did not result in a quick move. I had to pay for a second trip and 5 more hours the next day because they couldnt fit everything in the first load. The movers were extremely slow and not friendly. We had to help them with taking apart furniture just to try and keep them on schedule. In the end, we paid well over the estimate, have a dented up 1 year old ($2500) refrigerator, which they dropped (they offered us $100 for damage). I want it fixed, not the money. They also caused a number of dents and scratches to the walls in our new home.I would differently stay away.

Will never ever use this moving company. Take longer time. They estimated 4 hours, And if it’s not my husband and other guy helps. It will take a day for moving, and cost me more. They are charge more higher than other moving companies and I though they may more stronger and more professional. I made wrong decision. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMAPANY. after spoke to the owner in almost 30 minuets, they gave me $50 rebate. But for all my husband and other guy’s help, they helped a LOT. I don’t think that’s fair. I just don’t want to waste my time and the movers time. So I signed paper work. Other wise I will not sigh the paper. I should see google review before I choose them. I have never used movers before, so I didnt have much to go on. But I can say that these guys showed up on time, they took great care of all of my items by using blankets to cover everything and then wrap it up! When I move next time I will definitely be using them again.

Tim and Deardre (sorry for spelling) were wonderful, they had a very long day, and they executed it perfectly! 3 flights of stairs at both locations, and they didnt complain once! If you are looking for professional movers who are courteous and care about your items I would definitely recommend these 2!

Tim and Drey moved us and it was a very good experience. They were hard working, professional, pleasant, easy to work with and made the move a breeze. There truck was well organized and clean, and they treated our belongings with care. Didnt leave a mark on any wall anywhere. I would definitely recommend them.

Harry and Mike moved our business office in the pouring rain November 5th. Our building has a very narrow steep staircase and the move required over four hours for them to carefully wrap everything, carry it safely downstairs, and then carry it all up another narrow steep flight of stairs at the new location. When two 400 pound desks were delivered and the delivery people refused to carry them upstairs, Harry and Mike came to the rescue. These two gentlemen were absolutely fantastic. We did not have one scratch on anything. On a scale of 1-10, theyre easily a 50!! If youre moving, these are your guys!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!I used Two Men and a Truck for a local move in October 2018. They are the worst and least professional moving company I have ever used. Furniture was broken. Glass items weren’t packed with paper and arrived broken. Thousands of dollars of damage was done. A move that should have taken 4-6 hours took two days. Jared the manager of the MD was unhelpful and did everything possible to deny the claims I submitted. I had to look up the company’s insurance broker in order to get reimbursed.

The movers were very good and helpful. But I ended up paying about twice the initial estimate... The estimate was for $650, but in the end was charged about $1100. Not much of an estimate if its this much off.

Two Men & A Truck has been my “go to” moving company for many years. They handle big jobs and small ones, and always the same way, professionally and at reasonable prices.

I requested to be contacted via email and was called three times that day. I provided all the information, including measurements, in my email. Every email response I received was just asking me to call. When I eventually did, I was asked questions that I had already answered in the emails. It took forever to get a simple estimate, which ended up being ridiculously high. It was something like $1200 for eight hours of loading plus drive time to move a bedroom set. I ended up doing it myself with twenty minutes of loading and a total of $165. I will never recommend this company.

Okay, I just had to write a review for this...........Absolutely ridiculous! I just contacted these people to see how much it would be for them to pick up a Queen size mattress set (mattress and box spring) from the Big Lots in Germantown, MD and deliver to my residence in Olney, MD (app. 13 miles away). Imagine my surprise when the young lady (and I am not going to name her because I dont want her to be publicly embarrassed because it sounded nutty) told me it would be between $307-$407. I said what? I repeated my request and told her it was for a mattress set, 2 items. She gave me the same quote. I said good grief, she doesnt even realize how crazy she sounds telling this to someone...........Needless to say, I requested to speak to the owner or manager. Now lets see if I get a callback........

The office staff is extremely friendly, and the movers were very efficient and polite as well 5 stars all across the board THANK YOU TWO MEN AND A TRUCK!

UPDATE: The claims department called me to make it right. Everyone I spoke to was polite and truly wanted to do right by what happened. (Completely different than the local manager I spoke to the day of the move who did nothing.) They ended up offering a refund in the amount of what it would cost to replace the bed. I am very pleased with the customer service. This is the type of professionalism that I would expect from a national company. Thank you for making it right Two Men.While the two men that helped with my move were very nice and punctual, my satisfaction ends there. First, I am extremely disappointed that the company would claim that their employees can disassemble and reassemble Ikea furniture no problem but then the employees did not have tools and broke the bed because of the way they were putting it together. They clearly had no idea how to do it, so there is a huge disconnect between the service desk and the movers themselves. --Do not use Two Men and a Truck if you have Ikea furniture that they need to disassemble and reassemble!-- I have moved five times in the past five years and never have had a problem with the Ikea furniture with other movers. I thought a national name like this would be even better experience, but I was wrong. Because of how frequently I have had to move, I also know how long it takes to move the items I need help moving. They took forever to move them out of the first location, the longest of all the movers I have used. I helped unwrap the items at the destination to help it go faster. --Do not expect anything speedy if you book with Two Men.-- Again, the movers were nice, but everything else was a disappointment. I guess it goes to show that a big brand name doesnt always mean a better experience. Definitely not worth the money.

What kind of men cant move a pool table???? I weigh 110 pounds, my freind who helped me move the whopping one slate table weighed no more then 115 pounds and we managed to get the table with moving blankets up onto my second floor storage unit......too bad because they woulda gotten alot of money and nice trip to florida to move my fully furnished 3 bedroom home. Idiots.

Overall terrible experience.Arrived 2 HOURS late (due to traffic, but 2H???). Also this was the 2nd big move for the day for the movers. They were exhausted... So in addition to full payment, I had to help move to make things faster (with back issues was trying to avoid heavy lifting).The communication with the movers/management was nearly non existent. Some of the items were scratched. And most things were not left in the new house as labeled per location.Would NEVER use this service/location!

If I could give zero stars I would. We were quoted a five hour move after providing an exhaustive list of our furniture items to be moved. The movers arrived 15 minutes late. They went about their work with no sense of urgency, often taking breaks after each piece was wrapped, then again as each piece was moved. One of the two movers just standing around doing nothing at times. They also did not bring enough supplies to properly protect our furniture. Five hours in to our five hour move, they had to adjust the estimate as they had just finished packing INTO the truck. I had to agree to this revision of estimate as all of my belongings were sitting on their truck. When the arrived at our new home, they moved items in again extremely slowly. A small secretary desk took two men ten minutes to unwrap (and not because it was wrapped so well). They also SMOKED in the back of the truck with my furniture items leaving countless carcinogens on my furniture. Damage was done to both the house we moved from and the new house we moved into. A desk that I told them specifically to remove the legs (which they left on) was destroyed. Other items were damaged including what looked like cigarette burns on one of our couches. The general manager attempted to make things right, and came out to paint/patch our rental house we moved from, but the paint didnt match and they did extra touchups on the wall, which caused me to lose $250 in security deposits. At my new home, they did the same thing, touching up spots with paint of the wrong type or color, leaving me to fix this. For the home damage they offered $50 (I was out over $250 and the issues with my new home remain). They paid 60 cents on the pound for the furniture they destroyed/ruined, which was not enough to replace the items (but is in the contract). However, had they not been SMOKING in the back of the truck, or actually took legs off of items I told them to, or packed items correctly none of it would have happened in the first place. Oh, and the full move took 8+ hours instead of the five I was quoted due to their slow movingness. Their office even admitted to me that they TOLD them they were taking too long for what they had to move. But, when I mentioned that I was trapped into agreeing to an extended duration (reminder: five hours IN to the five hour move they adjusted the estimate) I was offerred a 5% ($50) refund. They refused to refund those three hours ($375) which they should have done. This whole move was a disaster. It also took over a month to get the damage check. And when I asked about it two weeks after they said it would be sent, I got no response. I also called to speak to the owner, offering him the opportunity to make it right. I have left several messages and had word he would call back, but its been weeks and no effort has been made. This is a HORRIBLE franchise and reflects terribly on this company. DO NOT USE THEM.

Lousy service

We have used Two Men and a Truck before and while there was damage to our furniture and the movers we received were on their phones the ENTIRE time, it overall worked out ok. This time my husband warned, and asked the movers repeatedly, to remove the feet of our leather couch, like they had the previous time, in order to get it out and into our new house. The movers barely tried to remove the feet, claiming the screws were stripped (they had only been removed the previous time we moved, yes with Two Men and a Truck). The movers were able to get the couch out of our apartment but when moving it into our new home, they completely dented the door and put a whole in our wall. We went with the basic insurance plan so got very little back (I guess that doesnt cover when the movers dont listen at ALL). Worst part is, we didnt report damage to another piece because apparently Two Men are cracking down and wouldve fired the guy. We will NEVER use them again and would NOT recommend. My husband helped them the entire time, and if they wouldve just listened, it wouldve been a seamless move. Were still in the process of fixing the damage from both moves, done by Two Men and a Truck.
