Living in Springfield, VA, Fitzgerald Subaru is not convenient to me. Raj and his coworkers at the dealership made the traffic laden trek worthwhile. The salesperson at a much closer dealership went dark after I sent my asking price so I looked elsewhere. Raj was responsive to all my questions, matched my desired price, and was helpful in every way. When my car arrived on the lot while Raj was away from the office, his coworkers stepped up to handle everything until Raj returned and took over. That kind of customer service and teamwork made a huge difference in my experience, making it worth a drive around the Beltway and up 270 in afternoon traffic.
My sales consultant was Mr. Karki who was great in introducing the car that best fit what we wanted and getting us started in the process. We appreciate that he respected our culture and simplified everything to make it easy for us to understand! Thank you so much Mr. Karki!
As always wonderful service kudos to Mike always pleasant and ready to help and its not fake that is his true self Brandon that sit beside him is also a pleasant gentleman I really love the team spirit there I definitely would reccomend Gaithersburg location and see Mike
I highly recommend both the Sales and Service side of Fitzgerald Subaru Gaithersburg. Best experience with a dealership ever!During the purchase, Michael de Jesus was very patient and honest. I felt respected and was not pressured. The service team is amazing. They do great work, and dont try to talk you in to services you dont need, like some places will. They are consistently courteous and professional, and truly care about good customer service. The other day, I was waiting to pick up my car, and a few tempermental customers were at the front counter. I was extremely impressed by the teams calm demeanor under so much stress.Love this place.
Had the pleasure of working with Erol to acquire my new OBW. Erol is top notch and he was respectful of my time. Why Erol is the GOAT.1. He doesn’t play games and waste time. Very responsive with email communications.2. He was very knowledgeable about the car he was selling and didn’t respond with “let me check on that when we get back to the dealer.”3. He was prepared and everything was processed as fast as it could at a car dealership.4. He was straight to the point of what was and what was not possible during the 4 minutes of negotiation that took place.5. He was entertaining during the down time.6. He is genuine.
I had my first experience with Fitzgerald Subaru service and it exceeded my expectations. Their operation was smooth and professional from the moment I pulled my vehicle into their service lane. Id like to acknowledge the phenomenal customer service and technical knowledge of my service advisor, Omar. He was very courteous and personable. I appreciated his patience as he explained the status of my vehicle. Thank you!
Honest and friendly. Got us in the car for a test drive on the car we were interested in within 5 minutes of being there. Andrew was great!
So the car buying experience has been great. I started on the Subaru side. Get to drive vehicles and told exactly what the price is, no fussing around. So much less hassle then some other experiences. It was actually almost a problem finding a salesman. But when we did he was the right amount of helpfulness.
I made an appointment Monday morning to come see and test drive a blue 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. I saw online that it was listed for sale and I wanted to come check it out. I live all the way out in Loudoun County Virginia which is about an hour away. I still came despite the rainy weather and heavy traffic. I also called before I left my area that I will be running a little bit late - the lady I was on the phone with said it was fine. Getting there, I was greeted by Raj, very nice guy. When him and I got to sit down and talk about it, turns out, its in the shop for another whole week and I wasnt able to see it. I tried to look at the used inventory lot but nothing caught my interest. Why I give this review one star is because I drove over an hour in the horrible weather to see a car that I wasnt even able to look at. When the car finishes next week, you wont see me there trying to buy it. It wouldve been nice if someone contacted me telling me that the car is in the shop so I wouldnt have to drive over an hour. This is extremely unprofessional on their side. The only thumbs up I would give is Rajs attitude with me.Edit: Felipe, the manager reached out to me this morning to fix this situation. He is willing to go the extra mile to take the car to me when the car is finished. He really wants every customer to be satisfied with the car they buy and satisfied with the customer service as well.
Hats off to these guys! They got me in a brand new 2022 Outback at a price I was comfortable with. Raj made the experience painless and easy. I will definitely be returning for future Subaru purchases.
Dealing with this dealership was the worst experience Ive ever had in my car buying experiences. I bought a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek from them (my 5th new car ever) and i was approved for a loan through Bank of America. The salesman was very pushy and unprofessional. They asked to run my credit and check two other banks for no reason. I have my consent and they did it. I already had the car chosen and everythings set. It took more than 5 hours of sitting and my folder being thrown from a manager to another. I live in VA and i got temporary tags. Whenever i call to ask for my actual tags, the finance manager never responds to my voice messages. The managers are so rude and disrespectful when i asked them about my tags. They hang up on me twice. They thought i couldnt afford a car when i went there. This is my 5th new vehicle that i buy. If you guys want to fix your problems and be better, please dont judge a book by its cover. Also, customer service! Its very important and respect is a building value for every aspect of life. You lack respect. I advice you all not to go there and go through this terrible experience.
First off I would like to say since moving into the area this has been my go to spot for all needs with my subaru. That is until today. I had to perform an inspection to get my vehicle registered in Maryland. The inspection came back with a failure due to chipped windshield in a critcal area. Once I asked them what the definition of a critical area was they gave me incorrect information. I looked up thier manual and they had left out half of the definition and once speaking to the manager he could not go back on the inspection. This poses a major problem because it is showing that the inspectors are obviously not trained in proper inspection techniques and breaks the trust of all thier maintenance personnel. In the future i would be careful coming to this location for any inspection or maintenance needs as they are obviously not doing thier due diligence.kicker is the manager after looking at the handbook and my windshield agreed that it wasnt properly done.
I had the best new car buying experience at Fitzgerald Subaru in Gaithersburg last week!My Sales Consultant was Katrina Jacobson, she was very knowledgeableand went out of her way to make sure I was happy and enjoying the whole experience. I havent bought a new car in 14 years and some of process has stayed the same and some has changed for the better more digital less papers which saves time. She always kept me informed on what was going to happened next and she did it all in a timely matter. I felt like my deal was the only one and that she had the whole Fitz Team there to help me. She even got a Ribbon but on the car for me which meant a lot I always wanted the car with the ribbon! :)I will tell all my friends about Katrina and the rest of the Fitz Team.Drew showed me the Star link and Eric was handling the Finance.I enjoyed every part of the experience and I cant thank the Fitzmall Team enough! If you would like that one on one Service and enjoy the buying process then Katrina is the Sales Consultant you need to ask for!
I recently purchased a car from Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg. I saw the car online on a friday morning, sent a message expressing my interest a very short time later I received a detailed text telling me that Fitz had taken the car to their service center so they could make sure the vehicle passed not just the MD inspection but their own highly detailed multi point inspection and would not be ready for a few days. I wanted the car, Muna, the sales person who sent the text, could sense how badly I wanted it. She was able to get the service team to have the car sales ready in under 2 hours. The entire Fitz team was very attentive to me, when I noticed an issue during the test drive, the car went back to the service center and the issue was addressed. The level of customer servce was top-notch, everyone from the porters to the manager Amir said Hello, how are you and I honestly felt valued as a customer.Pricing was fair, no haggle at all. I had comfort knowing that the high standards of their multi point inspection ensured that the used car they sold me was to the same standard that they apply to their new cars. That afternoon I drove off into the sunset the Fitz way...a satisfied customer.
Overall I would give a good rating. They did everything they could to find the car I wanted and in short order! I know I can be a tough customer and ask lots of questions. Some of these questions went unanswered and that is pretty much my only grip so far (except for the random staff member who moved my car and locked all my stuff inside and hid the key!). Rajesh was very helpful and super friendly and I would recommend him and Fitz for your next Subaru. Raj did everything he could to take care of whatever came up : )
I had to take the car in for service and sat there almost 2 hours. The employees at the service center were very courteous even offered uber ride home. I wish I had taken the offer, because I wasted 2 hours in the waiting room. I wish they would pick up the car from our work place and work on it while we are working and then deliver. I gave it 4 stars since I did not appreciate after waiting there 2 hours my car was not washed and cleaned. I was seeing all cars were being washed.
Rajesh Karki, a sales associate.I bought a Subaru from him. The process was very straight forward and professional. With a family member who had worked for years at a dealership down south, my aunt taught me how to buy cars and how dealerships work. Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg does not suffer from that XhoXX House mentality that my aunt warned me about. (Remember, you can always walk away.) I didnt have to walk, I only felt a positive vibe in that dealership. Moreover, everyone that interacted with me was very professional. For Rajesh, he did not exert any type of pressure. Thanks, Raj!
The Service staff representative was very kind and helpful and the work was done quickly.
We had a terrific experience shopping for our new car at Fitzgerald Subaru Gaithersburg. Bik Shrestha is our sales rep, and he did a stellar job of helping us track down the exact vehicle that we had seen on the company website, as well as provide us with loads of helpful info and test drive a similar vehicle while we waited for our car to arrive at the dealership. Bik was vital in making the whole process go smoothly and we couldnt be happier with our new Subaru! Thanks, Bik and Fitzgerald!
Experience was excellent. Was scheduled for 2/23 but called to see if I could bring car a day early. Was absolutely not a problem. Had been coordinating service with Carlin Le. He was easy to work with, answered my questions and made it easy to switch my date of service.
Recently move to the state of Maryland from PA for State Inspection. They told me that tire plugs are not legal in the state of MD and since my tire has a tire plug, it has to be replaced (I called around other tire places afterwards and they said its not true). Also said that all 4 tires needs to be replaced since the treads variance on the new one vs old 3 will be too much. Cost $750 + Alignment cost.Avoid this place like the Plague.
The front desk is terrible, even some managers. The service is super expensive. They lied to me about the protection plan. Everyone told me different things. They change their policy anytime they want. Terrible experience!
I purchased a 2020 Subaru Ascent from Fitzgerald Subaru and had the best auto buying experience working with Manny Bernales! Manny was extremely professional, patient, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions. I had test driven several SUVs (Palisade, Telluride, Aspen, Highlander) to make sure that the Ascent was what I wanted. I had a 2010 Subaru Legacy with lots of miles and traded it in getting a great credit that was blue book worthy! Manny worked with me to get exactly what I wanted - no unnecessary pressure from him which went a long way for me!! I was happy to drive off with a beautiful white 2020 Ascent and have been enjoying every mile! Thank you Fitzgerald Subaru! And thank you Manny!!
Great people great service 😎
Love Soo! The very best manager at a dealership. He looked after me. Finding no Subaru dealership in Frederick, I turned to him. He was super accommodating!!Thank you Soo, you are the best!!!
I visited Fitzgerald Subaru in March of 2021 to test drive their offerings. I was treated very well by my sales reps Michael Dejesus and Shania Leguen. They both did an awesome job. AS a first time car buyer I had some anxiety based on how I have heard most dealerships operate, but this was painless. I chose a new Subaru Forester and am very happy with my purchase. The purchasing went very smooth due to the professionalism of Eric Abramson.Overall a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend this dealership for anyone looking to make explore a new or used vehicle.
Red flags galore. Be warned of all the old car dealer tricks when visiting. Either bad company policy or shady salesmen. As we had owned a previous WRX and enjoyed the experience and the relationship with our previous Subaru dealer, my wife and I approached this dealership, Fitzgerald Subaru, to look at a New or Certified Subaru.Upon arriving at the dealership on a lazy Sunday with nary another customer in sight, we saw the very car we came to look at sitting outside in front of the showroom. The car was covered in a solid layer of snow and ice and appeared it hadnt been moved in quite some time. We looked it over ourselves while the sales person stared at us through the glass windows, offering no help, information, or even approaching us. Flag 1After making our way indoors we engaged the salesperson. We told him we had previously owned a model similar to the one he watched us look at but wanted to see if the newer model was any different. When we expressed our interest in taking the car for a test drive the sales person demanded a credit check. In fact the salesman said it was company policy to run a credit check BEFORE any test drives. Flag 2For any new car buyer, do not let a car dealer run your credit until you are ready to purchase especially if you are not using dealer financing. Having a dealer do a hard pull on your credit without a purchase harms your credit and is an attempt by them to trap you into purchasing on unfavorable terms.I insisted that he would not engage my approval or attempt to run my credit until we decide to purchase a vehicle. He was a bit huffy about it but I insisted. After some attitude back and forth he tried to pawn us off on another colleague because I would not give permission for my credit to be run and would not give him any additional information for him to run one behind my back. Flags 3 and 4We did manage to test drive the vehicle. The car ran fine and is something I would consider purchasing in the future, but not from Fitzgerald Subaru.
Muna Bogaileh is a fantastic sales and leasing consultant. She was patient and kind and she attended to all of my needs. Tony Freeman is the used car manager he gave me the best deal! I highly recommend them 🥰🥰
Staff was friendly and professional, and treated me very well. I was able to have all of my questions answered and was happy with the overall experience! Bik Shrestha was the salesperson I worked with, cannot recommend him enough.
They really wanted me to leave there with a car. Gave me excellent deals al gore around.
I got a quote for forester and outback from 6 different dealers in this area. Fitz mall quoted the highest price compared to other dealers. Their price was almost 4k more compared to the lowest quoted dealer. The sales person emailed me and texted me to go there. I went there hoping that they will beat the price. They offered me price match but offered very less money to the trade compared to the other dealers. Then the manager showed up and started unpleasant conversation (unprofessional) and I felt like it was more like an interrogation rather than professional negotiation. He was telling me that I am wasting my time in getting quotes and finding a good deal from other dealers. I should rather spend time with my family and buy cars from neighbor hood dealer (them) even if the price is higher. He was asking where do I work etc. I felt like he was bullying me. He did not like the fact that other dealers offer better price. I think sales folks are nice but they dont have any power to make any deals/negotiations even if they want to sell the car. If you want to pay more price you can go here other wise I suggest to check out other dealers. Next day, I went to Herb Gordon at Silverspring to buy the outback model for much less. Not only they beat the lowest quoted dealer by a lot and provided a real hassle-free buying experience for me (much better service and they treat their customers very well).
Always friendly and helpful
My wife and I recently purchased a new Subaru from Fitzgerald Subaru in Gaithersburg. We worked with Michael DeJesus on picking a car. This was the best experience we have ever had purchasing a car. Michael was very knowledgeable and very professional. We are now life long Fitzgerald customers!
I had a good experience here the other day. The person I worked with was Medhi. He was very polite and really helped me make a decision on what car would work with the criteria I gave him( even though there wasn’t much of a criteria from me). This was my first car that I was buying and he made the experience go very smoothly.
Evan rocked the sale. Knowledgeable on the Hyundai Genesis.
I worked with Shania here and she helped me buy my very first Subaru. She was very helpful and kind. Loved working with her.
I purchased 2019 Subaru outback color white. seems like the dealership put some kind of paint over a scratch on the bumper.(i realized it after a few days of purchasing) it is done so poorly it looks like it was done with white-out. not the mention i was served very badly at the financial department. the salesman was friendly but administration not. i bought the car on October 16th, STILL HAVENT RECEIVED MY TAGS! it has been over 3.5 months. whenever i call they transfer me from person to person and end up getting disconnected. hope this review helps!
Before the bad stuff, I’ll compliment the service staff in their helpful attitudes and patience. They were very communicative and helpful!I’m new to the area and needed to get brakes. I had previously gone to Herb Gordon Subaru but Fitzgerald is my new local dealership, so I dropped it off for brake pads, rotor resurfacing, and an oil change. The total ended up being $1115, which seemed steep. I called Herb Gordon for an identical quote and they gave me an estimate of $800-$850. I had a service team member leave my information for the manager for an explanation on the price difference and I haven’t heard back from anyone at Fitzgerald Subaru, so I’ll just be going back to Herb Gordon Subaru, and recommend you do the same for a lower, fairer price for OEM parts and services.
Our purchase was quick and easy thanks to Johnny Figueroa. He was very helpful and professional. Would purchase from him again!!
Best car buying I have ever had. My wife and I came to this Subaru expecting your typical car dealer experience. We were wrong in the best way possible. We were assisted by Andrew Huang. From the very start he was an absolute professional. We test drove the 2021 Subaru Forester Sport and he let us do it alone. We loved the SUV but it wasn’t the specific package we wanted. Andrew called different dealers until he found the perfect one. He had a driver go out to Baltimore to get it for us. The reason we came to this specific dealer was because their advertised prices were the lowest we found online, they still applied over $800 worth of discounts for us. We ended up paying $3,000 under MSRP.At no point during the buying process did Andrew pressure us into making any decisions we weren’t comfortable making. He answered all our questions honestly, and was patient with my wife and I as we made our decisions. Andrew went above and beyond to make sure we got the exact model, color, and feature package we wanted. Once we agreed on a price and had the specific vehicle we wanted delivered Andrew stayed 3 hours past his shift to help with finalizing the deal. Ross, the manager at this location, was also excellent. We wanted a warranty, and frankly we were prepared to, and expecting to have to pay for it out of pocket or at least a portion of it. When Ross saw that the 72 month, 80,000 mile warranty would put us over our credit union’s pre approved loan check amount he discounted it to make sure we paid $0 upfront. We ended up coming in $500 under our pre approved loan check and got the exact vehicle we wanted with an extended warranty included to protect our new investment. This was by far the best experience I’ve ever had with a car dealership. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new car. Subaru gained a life-long customer because of this dealership.
Great customer service and excellent variety of free beverage for customers. However, they charge $$$ for tire rotation which is free at multiple places.
Very positive experience buying a used car here, much better than some of the other dealerships I test-drove at. I felt no pressure from the salesmen, and I felt confident that I was making the right decision by buying my car. Some people may like haggling and fighting over fees, but I prefer Fitzgeralds approach where I know what Ill pay before I even show up to the dealership. I worked directly with Johnny, Tim and Tony, all very professional, helpful and friendly.
Love the car and the whole buying experience. Bik of Subaru was great, and I would recommend him and Fitzgerald to any potential customer..Phil Evans
Great experience purchasing a vehicle from Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg. Bik Shrestha was a pleasure to work with; very knowledgeable, no high pressure sales tactics; he made a complicated decision much easier.
Went in to get a new tire and mentioned that I had replaced this tire maybe a couple days over a year and that I wanted to cash in the 24-month tire protection plan warranty whatever. I was told that the tire I received from Frederick Subaru didnt have a Subaru part number and could not qualify. The next day on my was back to pick up a new hubcap, I called Frederick Subaru and spoke to a woman on duty at service, who after a little while confirmed that the tire I had replaced there did have a Subaru part number and I had them email that information to the Gaithersburg agent that Ive been working with. They confirm it was a Subaru part and apologized, telling their manager will follow up with me to rectify the problem. 2 DAYS LATER, I get a call from the Fitz Gaithersburg Manager, dumping this whole problem back on to me. Meaning I have to call generic customer service and repeat this all over again, instead of having a Manager sending an email to an associate when a serious C.S. Issue arises, like why are you even there, give me an excel sheet and I will do your job for you. This is all for $140, which I might add is a diabolical price for a tire. I mean $75 online and any gas station mechanic will mount it for $10 and take it to Subaru to have it complementary balanced on its warranty. Dont call me, Im not taking this down, you Earned this
I had an outstanding customer service by Michael DeJesus at Fitzgerald Subaru Gaithersburg. He was Knowledgeable, Professional, Genuine, Honest, Patient and Helpful in everyway to facilitate the search and decision making process. He made the entire process an easy and enjoyable experience. What a great person and professional!
Made an early morning appointment to bring our car in for a recall notice. Supposed to take 90 minutes and theyd give us a loaner car if needed. Get there and they say its going to be 3-4 hours and they can provide us a loaner AT THE END OF THE DAY. Or that theyll call us an uber that we can pay for. I get that theyre busy, but thats why you take appointments, and the employee was really rude about it. I wont go back here for service (or sales).
I dont know a thing about Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg, I only know Fitzgerald in Annapolis and the VW brand. I just bought my 4th car from them and will happily go back to them when its time. From their sales rep Bret, who is outstanding, to the service department, you could never find better or ask for more from a car buying experience.
If I wrote this review last week, I think I would have given Fitzgerald of Subaru 5 stars because my sales associate (Manny) was excellent. My experience today left me very disappointed. I went to Fitzgerald today with my two year old to have my new tags placed on my car. After putting my little girl in the car to leave, I noticed a tag screw on the ground which I picked up and placed in the pocket of my car door because I didn’t want myself or someone else to drive over and puncture their tire. On my drive home I heard a noise, pulled over and checked my car. I didn’t see anything so I kept driving and shortly after I was back on the road my low pressure tire indicator light turned on. When I got home, I thought my back driver tire might have a leak, but I wasn’t sure. Even so, I decided I was going to bring my car by the Fitzgerald near my house as soon as my husband was home. However, within an hour my tire was flat. I called Fitzgerald and told them what had happened and I was told to try and bring my car back down for them to assess. I had AAA tow my car to speed the process. When I arrived at 3:05pm I was made even more stressed by service because they didn’t want to look at my car until Monday because I didn’t have an appointment. Given that the entire situation could have been caused by their negligence, I felt that more consideration could have been given to the situation. I was very upset and vented my frustration which prompted them to look at my Vehicle. I did go over to sales during this time and showed them the screw I found on the ground which they confirmed was a tag screw. Service insist that the tare in my tire was due to some sort of impact. Given that I only found one screw, and there are two screws for tags, I still feel that the impact could have been a second screw that I ran over and came out of my tire as I was driving home. The additional 10 mile drive home from the point which I heard the noise, not knowing that my tire had been punctured could have made any damage worse.UpdateFitzgerald Subaru responded appropriately and reimbursed me for the Tire in a timely fashion. Thank you to service for their patients with my frustrations.
Just bought a brand new 2019 Outback and have put 2,000 miles on it. The dealership has been very helpful in solving two major problems that should not have happened: 1) Check engine light and many other warning lights on the dashboard - the dealership reset all the lights and told me to double check the tightness on the gas cap every time I fill up the car. This is a real weakness in the design. 2) Check engine light and many other warning lights. Engine would NOT start. Before getting the car towed, the service manager told me to wiggle the steering wheel and try again. The engine started!!It is so frustrating when a brand new car has design weaknesses that leave you stranded. Luckily, the service department was able to solve these problems and get the car operational again. These problems should not be happening on a brand new car.My 1 star is for flawed car design. I give the Fitzgerald service team 5 stars for helping me overcome these design flaws.
Super service! Wonderful people! Thanks for your courtesy and support.
Outstanding experience at Fitzgerald Subaru Gaithersburg! Special thanks to Beman, Izzetta and John M for all of their help as I tried to determine which car was best for me. They were patient, kind and very helpful in looking into all of my options. I highly recommend! Definitely ask for Beman in sales!
Took my dad here to purchase a Subaru after losing his car in an accident. Vehicle safety was our #1 concern so we picked Subaru. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by Erol who became our salesman. Everyone there was smiling and friendly. Dealership was clean and welcoming. I explained to Erol as to what we were looking for and he took the time to find exactly what we needed. He was very helpful, patient and explained everything in great detail with us. We also had the pleasure to meet John the finance Manager who was really friendly and helpful as well. After purchasing the vehicle Erol took the time to show my dad all the features and offered future assistance if needed. My dad drove off happy that day with a brand new freshly washed Subaru. We were very satisfied with the entire experience here and highly recommend this dealership!
Prompt and efficient. Great customer service.
When I call for an appointment for my car Im greeted with the most respect people from the service department and kind and courteous people that want me to depend on them to fix my vehicle and have it back to me on sufficient time so I can be on my way and not have to send all day in the service shop for my vehicle thanks very much and I appreciate all that help me.
They took good services for us.Thank You So much.We are happy now & Well be back
Beeman Habib did an outstanding professional job on my purchase of my nissan altima. He worked with us and answered any questions or concerns my husband and I had after leaving the dealership and took care of any issues we had. He definitely went the extra mile to make my purchase worth the trip!
I went there twice . They gave the final price for legacy premium $ 26395 with tax, tag, and title . I gave the all the paperwork then the manager her last name is james she turn around and told the sales person to tell us she cannot apply Costco discount price will go up by $200 . She was so rude and she deny us to sale the car for the original prize was done by them . Was disappointed because off her attitude. At the end the upper manager make it up and also say sorry and we worked out and I give them my business.
I bought my Subaru in Virginia and have always taken it to that dealer for service, and they were great. When I moved to Maryland I planned to do the same here, and took my Outback to Gaithersburg Subaru for an oil change and the big state safety inspection needed to register the car in Maryland. The car failed the inspection for a windshield chip, and they said I couldn’t have it repaired, I would have to have the windshield replaced. I thought that was strange for a small chip, so I had the chip filled by Safe-light, and that technician said it would be fine. When I brought the car back to have the windshield re-inspected, the Subaru technician refused to pass it because he said the filled chip was a 1/4” long. I had looked up the regs and I KNEW it was allowed to be up to 1/2” on the passenger side “critical area”, but the technician would not talk to me and the person checking me out was no help and said I would have to either get a new windshield or “have a state trooper look at it”. I told them I would get it inspected elsewhere, and I did. THAT technician looked at the windshield before inspecting it, verified that it was allowed to be a total of 1/2” in length on the passenger side, said it wasn’t even CLOSE to that, and inspected and passed my car. So Subaru charged me 100$ for an inspection in which I was improperly told I needed a new windshield, and cost me an additional 80$ to have it inspected elsewhere.
Izetta james was awesome and helpful thanks izetta.
I needed to have my car checked because the key was intermittently getting stuck in the ignition. I made an appointment and had it checked and repaired the same day. Repair costs were fully covered under warranty. The service center was conveniently located, well organized, spacious and clean. Michael and the other employees were friendly and helpful and the job was completely in a timely manner. Keep up the good work.
Recently purchased my third Subaru here and had a great experience. Manny was friendly and knowledgeable and made the whole process easy and stress free.
Last week was took my car in for a routine oil change. An hour later they called and told me that my rear brakes and rotors need to be replace and my from wheel baiting were loose. I new that my brakes were becoming low and would need to be replaced. I did question the rotors but they said the rust was built up and needed to be replaced. After having the wheel bearings replaced I did some research because I didn’t know how they knew they were loose since I’ve had 0 problems or sounds while driving. The advisor said the sound was heard during a test drive for an oil change? Sounds strange since I drive this car everyday and haven’t heard any sound. The advisor said it was extremely loose and a safety issue. So I replaced the bearing at $600 + dollars. Car rides the exact same. The invoice stated that I came in with a concern of the sound and worse at high speeds... this was not the case, so I called the service manager and explained my situation. He told me that he was going to talk to the Tech and advisor to see what happened and then call me back. This was almost a week ago, and no one has called me. This Service took place at the end of January and seams odd. Then the manager never followed up, this is very poor service and doesn’t leave me with peace of mind that this was a necessary repair.... I should have had a second opinion and a lesson was learned, to the Service manager at Subaru in Gaithersburg, a return phone call should have happened. I’m very disappointedMike
Eric is the nicest and most helpful salesman youll ever meet. Truly a good guy and not the stereotypical pushy salesman at all. Makes the whole car shopping process so much easier.
My Outback is 10 years old and feels like new every time I take it in for service.
Very professional, best service center, treat their customer very well!
I stopped here while traveling because there was an issue with my tire. Even though they were packed with appointments they fit me in. My tire got patched and I made the rest of my trip safely. All the staff were kind and helpful. I am so grateful for their help. I highly recommend!!!
Did a great job and got me back on the road
Gave clerk very specific directions. I had no reason to check paper I was signing. After service he said I signed the paper when I complained about a service I didnt ask for. True. But as a customer it was the worst experience at a dealer ever. Then the manager tried to accuse me of being almost a criminal. Sure you got $30 more from me. But I will never get anything else besides the free oil from here. And I will never get another car from this or any fitzgerald dealership anywhere. Good stuff.
We stopped in to test drive a vehicle that we saw online that we fully intended to purchase, waited for someone to approach us in the showroom for about 15 minutes, finally got someone’s attention and they said they would pull up the car. Waited another 20 minutes and finally had enough and walked out. Went to Enterprise Car Sales and had a complete opposite experience. Glad my business did not go to this establishment.
We actually had a wonderful experience buying a Forester at Fitzgerald Subaru. Who would have guessed such a thing is possible? The dealers staff and Subaru made us feel valued and they were always honest and respectful. Great dealer and people.
Went in to test drive a car listed online. Was told the car is at another location. I asked where, they told me, but then said I would probably not be allowed to test drive it. Like...you sell used cars and you wont let me test a car? Then let me walk out the door without even attempting to get me into one of their vehicles since they had already told me not to bother going to where the car was. What. Just what. So, I guess Fitzgerald doesnt want my money, and thats a shame since I tried to go to them first. WHOLLY dissatisfied.
This dealership was top notch hands down! Andrew H. went above and beyond to make sure I purchased the car I was most comfortable with. He gave me suggestions and his advice, but was in no way pushy what-so-ever. I ended up getting a brand new car that I LOVE and can afford. He even took the time to make sure I knew how everything worked and was set up properly as far as connecting the blue tooth with my phone, etc. After, Marcus helped out with finalizing the purchase and it was absolutely painless. So quick and professional. I felt like family by the end of the whole process! I would recommend Fitzgerald Subaru to anyone who is looking for a new or used vehicle.
Haven’t purchased a car from here but get my service preformed here. The Service Staff is always willing to help and provide the best recommendations to you not just try and get more money out of you. Everyone is friendly but Michael Ugolini is the best and will go above and beyond to make sure your happy with the service. He has A+ customer service.
The team at Fitzgerald Auto Mall made buying a new car a fun experience. We test drove a variety of cars and asked a million questions. We even left the lot without making a purchase.Since we travel quite a bit this was an important purchase for us. We werent encouraged to look at or test drive a more expensive car, or a model that they had more of. They wanted to put us in the car we wanted. In the end we didnt have to play lets make a deal with the price, and didnt feel pressured into buying. I love the fact that we didnt have to negotiate or debate over the price of the car. When we left the lot with our new car we were familiar with the car and happy with the deal we got. I have driven my new Subaru Legacy for over 500 miles so far and I am very happy with it and the team at Fitzgerald that helped me make the right choice.
Fitzgerald Service center newly renovated and friendly staff... they offer free car wash if you are waiting for your vehicle while being serviced but you must ask for it. A very clean, comfortable customer waiting lounge with free refreshments (not just coffee) as well as free Wifi. Strongly recommend if you have to wait while your vehicle is being serviced.
Service center is disorganized and is unprofessional. Don’t go here !! Oil changes/ any service will take upward of 2-4 hours regardless of appointments and day of the week. Business is not interested in taking care of its customers needs effectively.
The service staff is always friendly and engaging, especially Kyle. Kyle goes out of his way to be helpful and solve any problem that may arise. I have found them to be honest and ready to explain any questions you may have. Recently when there wasnt a loaner car available, they called and paid for an Uber...how is that for customer service.
We had an excellent experience. The staff was very kind and helpful, and the Service Manager (Brett) took extra good care of us! Whenever we buy our next car, I fully expect well be making the drive back down here from New York.
👍
I had a great experience buying a car here. From Erols online quote and gentle persistence to get my business, to Kenny’s relaxed and informative approach presenting the car, to the strait-forward direct presentation of add-ons and financing, I was impressed. Proud owner of a Forester and satisfied customer.
My significant other and I spent a lot of time and research before deciding to go through with leasing from Fitzgerald Subaru in Gaithersburg. We dealt with multiple sales associates but once we connected with Johnny Figueroa the process couldn’t have been more smooth. We floated between Volvo and Subaru but with the help of Johnny we found the Subaru and car we were looking for. Johnny was very respectful of our request and when we told him we had some other options we were looking at and to give us some time before reaching back out he respectfully did so. When he finally did reach back we were at the end of search and were exhausted with the process of buying a new car. Johnny was able to patiently navigate this process with us and for that we are grateful. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase and of you are looking for a Subaru go see Johnny Figueroa. Thank you to the whole Subaru team and especially Johnny for helping us find our car!
Nice dealer. They offer free beverages at the service department. Nice staff. We had an issue at one service call and they worked hard to resolve.
5 stars to my salesman Kenny. Great attention to details and was able to do some work to find me the exact car I wanted. 2 stars to the finance guy. I asked if anyone was able to beat the APR from my bank preapproval and he told me that there was no APR yet because no numbers had been run. He then handed a tablet with add on options and a tiny little APR listed in the top left corner. I pointed that out and called him out on it and he quickly back tracked saying that technically the dealership had run no numbers yet since only the banks run the numbers. He then imediately pulled up a list of loan options that must not have existed a split second earlier. Great sales team but bring in a loan directly from a bank and save a headache.
Bought a Forester here. Excellent experience with Andrew. No haggle price was very reasonable and competitive. Highly recommend working with Andrew.
Buying a car takes a lot of time. It can wear you down. I went to another dealer before I went to Fitzgerald. In the back of my mind I was hoping to find a sales person who wouldnt lie to me to trick me into rushing into a bad deal. Fitzgerald Subaru salespeople were refreshingly no nonsense, no tricks. Friendly and helpful. I was able to buy the car I wanted, at a price I was happy with. Id recommend this place to my family members.
I went Fitzgerald Subaru for Maryland State Inspection for my 2017 Outback, it was a big mistake-- wasted time and money. My Subaru has nothing wrong, the inspector technician failed the inspection with Windshield failure. I pulled out Maryland code, could not match what caused the failure. I called an Auto Glass company, the manager Fred checked my WIndshield, told me NO issue. I went to Fitzgerald Subaru again, teh technician showed me the maryland code-- less than 3/4 chip is acceptable. But on my windshield, there is couple of chips of less than 1mm, not visible, no obscure and intervene in driving position! He insisted to ofail the inspection. Today, I drove my Outback to a local gas station, the technician told me No problem, Passed Maryland inspection. My feeling is the Fitzgerald inspector lost the common sense and just try to microscope issues. It was a waste of time and $100 inspection fee.G ChenThough Fitzgerald Subaru Service Director offered to have a State Trooper to run 2nd inspection. The Question is what I would gain from this kind exercise? My car already PASSED Maryland state inspection by a certified technician, why run another inspection? Is it my job to justify your technicians failure? Your service dept should make sure every technician have a good work ethics to provide reasonable service to customers. Here I attached two pictures of my Windshield which was judged failure by Fitzerald Subaru Technician.
I dropped my car off on Sunday evening for an appointment that was scheduled for 7:15am Monday morning. I recieved a call from the service representative at 7:30am for confirmation of services and total. I came in to pick up my car at 4:30pm & it was still not ready! WTF? All day for a 15,000 mile service! Piss poor time management! Ill try the service department in Rockville next time..
Came here from the hyundai side to see if i had any better luck with staff not judging my budget on my age. This time they did not engage me when i showed intrest in the orange outback in the show room and have very short answers when I asked about options. seems like Fitzgerald auto malls just train their employees not sell to anyone under 30
This is my go-to for oil changes and service on my outback. The customer service is great. I often get coupons emailed to me. The current construction makes it a bit chaotic to visit. Use 355 to enter, not Russell Ave which is what the GPS uses. They usually offer complimentary car washes, but have $25 coupons for Auto Spa at the moment due to renovations.
When my wifes previous lease was coming to a close she decided her next vehicle would be a Subaru. Having heard nothing but great things from friends that recently purchased used vehicles from their used car department, I decided we would give them a shot at our business on a new Subaru. I was most certainly not disappointed. Every person we encountered at the dealership was extremely friendly and professional. They answered all of our questions and gave us a fantastic deal on an Impreza lease. The whole process could not have been any more convenient or rewarding. Any time someone asks us about my wifes new Subaru we tell them they have to go and see the team at Fitzgerald. What a great group of people. 3 months in and she couldnt be any happier with her Subaru. Keep up the good work.
My wife and I recently worked with Bik Shrestha to lease a new Subaru. Offering us incredible customer service, he made the whole process very easy from start to finish. Everyone else we came into contact with at the dealership was attentive and helpful as well. We couldn’t recommend Bik and Fitzgerald Subaru of Gaithersburg enough!
Fast friendly professional service
This location is the worst one of all, we purchased one vehicle there and will never ever buy any cars from this location again. Customer service is horrendous.
Didnt want to take any time for us, even tho we called twice before we arrived and drove an hour to get there with two toddlers. In that time they apparently sold all 4 potential cars. On a Wed night with no customers in sight. My husband and I are very discouraged. I guess they dont like to sell cars. Its not like our budget is even that low for anyone to be so dismissive.
Nice waiting area and good service
The no-haggle price is nice, but then they keep coming at you to buy the service package, the undercoating, the ding & dent protection, the extended warranty, etc. The salesperson tried three times, another person came in and tried while the salesperson was meeting with the manager and even the finance person got in on the act, which was disgraceful. Just sell me the dang car already! We were in the dealership for four hours, two of which were wasted on trying to sell us additional garbage we didnt need. Ive never been stuck in a showroom for that long and will absolutely NEVER buy another car from ANY Fitzgerald dealership. Save your time and sanity and go elsewhere.
I was in a jiff and being a rainy day we popped in by about 07:30PM and Mr. DeJesus got great Subaru in a snap. Next day was smooth walk on cake and we bot it. First service was performed in minutes not 1/2 hour. Second and third were good enough. But I cannot rate the Frederick center for their meaningless discussion about warranty issues etc. But you guys should know how to listen to your customers too. Courtesy begets courtesy - train your team...
