Absolutely the best garage in town.!!! I am a retired certified heavy duty truck master mechanic and will not take my vehicles anywhere else. When I first moved here in 1994 l took my pickup to 4 different auto service centers for oil changes. No one did correctly. Over filled, under filled, didnt change filter, and one didnt even do anything but charged me full price thinking l wouldnt check and know. Then a coworker suggested I try Emerald City Automotive. And that started a GREAT relationship to this day. They are very personable and straight forward. They 100% stand behind their work and give honest straight advice while charging a reasonable price. I dont have to check behind because l know it was done right the first time. This one place that takes pride in their work and you can actually talk to the people doing the work and the owners. If you love your vehicle, give them a chance and you wont be sorry!

I was a bit surprised to see a new lobby area with new faces. I have to say that Keith found my cars repair history (in the old system) and put it in the new system. The car was ready several hours earlier than I had asked for. When picking up the car, Keith and his wife were as friendly and helpful. My car was clean with great music that someone had ready! They even topped off the windshield washer fluid! The bill was placed in an envelope, along with an air freshener- nice! Although Keith is not Wilber, I found the entire experience VERY POSITIVE.

This shop used to be owned by Wilbur and he was the best and most honest mechanic in MOCO. Unfortunately for us (but good for him) hes now retired. The new owners are not near as responsive. I called last week to get an estimate for a service and it took them 3 hours to get back to me, even though he said hed call back in 10 minutes. When they did, their rates were higher than the dealer!The shop was great in the past and deserved 5 stars, but that will probably not be the case moving forward.

Wilbur is wonderful to deal with. The crew is great here and genuinely knows older vehicles. I have had excellent results from them on a variety of marques, eras and jobs for myself and for clients.Fairly priced and trustworthy - thank you, will be back again!

SOOOOOO happy I brought my car here for a second opinion! I took my car to a different place about a month ago and was told I would need a huge list of things done and it was going to cost me almost $3000! I brought the list of things that needed to be done immediately and Mike took a look at everything and showed me what needed done VS what could wait and told me what really wasnt needed. As a new mom that much money right after Christmas was going to be a HUGE hit to us and we really couldnt afford that. He was so patient with me (and my screaming teething baby) and worked with me and explained everything to me. This was about 2 weeks ago and my car is like new! We have a plan to get everything done (that wasnt a top priority) and have worked through the list to make sure my car is safe. I will def be coming back and making this my go to place!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!

If I lived in China and needed a mechanic, I would have my car flown across the sea to still bring it to them. Skilled, friendly, and oh-so-important in a mechanic: totally trustworthy. Dont go to anyone else!

Ive trusted Emerald City with all of my auto repairs for over 18 years. They are honest and trustworthy. They warn me early when my brakes or belts are beginning to wear giving me planning time when they can. I have referred several family and friends to Emerald City over the years. It is rare to find a trusted mechanic so dont let go once you find Emerald City.

They dont try to make up needless work and give good advice about what work can wait and what needs to be done now.

I wish their mechanics were as good as receptionist. Car has been in the shop for months and they still cant figure out how to fix it.

No.My family had been going to Emerald City for decades. Loved Wilber, loved the dogs, loved the service.Wilber retired and now this shop SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS! I brought my Miata in for new rear breaks, and a couple of other minor fixes, after a full week they returned it (with an exorbitant bill) and the breaks did not work. By the time I had driven home from the shop MY NEW BREAKS WERE TOTALLY NON FUNCTIONAL and all the break fluid had come gushing out one of the rear calipers. After I returned it and asked them to fix the mistakes they obviously made the first time, they kept it for a second entire week and then, THEY CHARGED ME A SECOND TIME TO FIX THEIR WORK! Also they do not return phone calls, or call you when they say they will, they are totally disorganized, and the customer service is generally terrible.TLDR:It takes them forever to do bad work, and they charge you a second time to fix their own mistakes. Go somewhere (anywhere) else

Friendly, top-quality work, and most important, absolute integrity. My wife and I started bringing our cars to Emerald City when a tow truck driver told us about the place years ago, and based on our experience, the rest of our family and many friends have now started bringing their cars to Emerald City as well.

Reasonable price and honest staff

I bought a car at auction that they just worked on, have receipts, the brakes did not work and the rear axles threads were so damaged that they needed to be replaced the whole axle and all brake drums and linings needed to be replaced, the brake booster did not work, power steering hose leaking badly, the engine belts they said they replaced were all cracked and old and the transmission was gone but they did not on work it or fix it the car was totally unsafe, the brake linings barely touching the over turned out of spec drums, they should be reported to the BBB. the owner put up it for auction later.
