Gator Corner is always the staple on campus. Good options, especially with the reopening of campus. As long as you are willing to wait when it gets super busy, you will get a generous portion of delicious food. Dont treat it like a 5 start hotel, and youll have a good experience. Pretty good.
Everyone is more of a fan of Broward dining but I always found this place to be the better of the two cafeterias on campus. Maybe its different now but Broward used to be so busy and while this one would get busy too, it would usually be less so. They have a good assortment of food including healthy stuff and treats. Miss spending lots of time here!
We arrived close to 11:40 a.m. and thus they were serving lunch. The options were limited to three dishes plus fresh watermelon and cookies. they said that they would have more options once school starts on Monday. some of the students had complained that they were not getting very much food as they went through the line, but my experience was that we got exactly what we asked for even when we asked for a little extra of something like green beans. Right now you must be wearing a mask when you go in and you must remain at least 6 ft between yourself and the person in front of you. You go up and tell the person what you want in your to-go box and they serve it for you. Then you move to the next station to get your cookies and your drinks. If there are tables still available you can eat inside where you will find the tables are at least 8 ft apart. We chose to eat outside because, though it sounds extremely unlikely, it was actually not raining. There are a few picnic tables scattered around the campus near the dining center. We tried one of each of the three dishes that were available and the vegan wraps were the only one that had a lot of flavor. The chicken and swiss sandwiches were as bad as they looked in the display and the fish was very bland. The green beans and the tater tots were tasty.
Tonight I ordered a Philly cheese steak. When it arrived, there was no bread in sight. You do the math. (Had to give the third star for the cookies, theyre 8/10, would fill a to go box with them).Edit: Today the TVs in one of the dining rooms was showing an R-Rated horror movie with extremely disturbing content. Not something I should even have to worry about seeing while having lunch. Unacceptable. Dont leave the TVs on inappropriate networks. Gore is not okay to show in a dining area, especially one thats open to the public.Edit #2: After changing the type of foods I looked for here and beginning to see a small improvement in satisfaction, I had all hopes of quality improvement dashed, tonight, when I ate a burger full of bone fragments. Normally I wouldnt complain about one bad cut of meet at a place at which I eat almost daily, so Im not doing that here either. In fact, this is at least the 5th burger (or other food item) that Ive eaten here that contained non-food items. Im sick of biting down to find a shock sent up my teeth because there is bone or something else in my food that shouldnt be there. Its a burger, its literally the easiest fully cooked meal to make, and they cannot even make one thats fully edible. Much less can they make one that tastes good.
All you can eat
Loved it! First time checking it out. When i walked in the lady in the front (wish I remembered her name) was extremely welcoming and very professional. I looked at every station and felt like everything was very fresh. The mojo chicken, rice and beans were my favorite! Will definitely check them out again. Its all you can eat and anyone can enter. They sanatized every table and even had signs showing which table to sit at. The gentleman at the burger and fries station was very involved and took pride in his job.
Still cheaper than fast food, and really good. So many choices every day. The featured item changes daily.
Fantastic food, great service and very affordable/nutritious.
Pretty nice foods 👌
Good prices good food
Located literally across from the Gator Football Stadium. This place has a wide variety of food. From salad, pizza, burgers and fries, to ice cream, cereal, milk, soda and even pasta. The price is decent for what you get. Its all you can eat. Meaning you pay when you walk in and eat till you are full. There is WiFi and power outlets available as well as TV in most of the locations. There is also a quite room with tables and chairs if you dont want to watch TV and would rather talk or study. If you are out of class or at the stadium and would like something quick but dont want to walk very far this place is a good place to go. Check it out.
Greatest dining hall at UF by far, it’s not even close. Desserts are the best, staff is always friendly and helpful, tailgate event was awesome

Had a wide selection of foods from pizza, burgers, salads and deserts. The food is good but the best thing I liked there was the chicken sandwich.Pizza is decent but as I had visited USF campus as well I would say their selection and food was better. Overall a definitely food place to eat and UF is a must visit for all seniors.
The Gator Corner would be great if it had better food. Its one saving grace is that it offers a wide variety of food from pizza to sandwiches to cereals and other breakfast items. It is a little expensive but if you eat a lot it would pay for itself. Come on Gators ... we can do better.
This is the dining thats most convenient for me, as its the closet to my dorm. So theres a thumbs up there. As for the food, the food is good in terms of lunch and dinner, as they have pizza, macaroni, desserts, and a variety of other options. when it comes to breakfast, I was disappointed, but Im also not a breakfast person so theres not too much love lost there.
This is a great place to eat anytime of the day. They have fresh squeezed o.j. a few times a week and sushi a few days a week. I think thats good for a campus dining hall.
After attending the University of Florida my freshman year all I can say is WOW. There are so many flavors to choose from at the Gator Corner Dining Center. Whether you’re in the mood for some Asian sensation or some home cooked classics, this is the place for you. Although I must say, this place would be nothing without Garretts sandwiches made from handpicked ingredients and perfectly toasted pieces of whole grain bread. Not only is the salad bar exquisite, but they also offer some of the finest pastries in all of Gainesville. I highly recommend the cookie sandwich, two chocolate chip cookies with any flavor of ice cream you want in the middle. Gator Dining has not disappointed me yet. If I could stay a fifth year or do graduate work at the University I would eat here all day every day.
The best place to eat in milky way galaxy. A more practical way of saying this is that the food is super healthy, super diverse but may not always be super tasty (who cares about a few food items being not so great).
Good place to hang and eat some good food. I will probably become a regular. Feeling here is similar to a place in Columbus I liked.
Gator Corner Dining is super convenient and *most* of the staff is friendly. I appreciate that they give me a clean reusable container (bought from them) everytime I bring mine in dirty. Also, the international food station during lunch is the best! Breakfast is the only real downside - same menu everyday and the fruit freshness is a hit or miss.
Buffet style food and amazing cookies. I highly suggest you check the menu online before you go because some days the food just isnt that good. But in terms of money spent for amount of food and its quality corner dining is well worth it.
The absolute cheapest food possible. Employees are usually indifferent or seem upset, there are of course a few great ones that are very pleasant. The food is extremely repetitive and very rarely are there healthy options. There are limited to no options if youre vegetarian/vegan depending on what time of day you come in.Would not recommend a meal plan if youre health conscious at all or have the ability to cook for yourself.
Should have organic options. Food starts tasting the same living on campus. Salad taste bland or like burgers. Best part are the desserts and coffee/ice cream bar. Options way too Americanized. Gross.
Convenient, fast and well organized. It offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with zero delay. However, the staff is polarized between extremely friendly people and others whose attitudes leave a lot to be desired.
You can have different food everyday and there are lots of choices. People who serve are kind of nice. If you live near this place, its the best option.
Pathetic food! Service is poor. I would really like to meet the head chef and commend them on the poor quality of food. I would not recommend anyone to be on the meal plan. Go get a sub for the same price and youll be way happier!!!
Large range of choices, all you can eat, stay as long as you want
The layout of the facility is quite nice. The food is good but gets bland after a while. Most of the food is fried and high in carbs, very little vegetables and stuff. The place lacks staff at certain times of the day and the tables and floors in the seating areas become quite dirty towards the end of the day. But my most concerned input of this place is that the chicken thighs that are sometimes served her appear almost always be quite pink. THIS IS A HUGE HEALTH THREAT THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED!
Surprisingly good food.
There arent as many options as the Fresh Food Company, but the food is seemingly of a better quality and the portions are significantly larger. Worth the walk if you live by Turlington.
For the price and the fact its unlimited food, you cant beat it for a students budget. This said, do not expect the food to be good. Gator Dining has perfected how to cook meat to the dryness of jerky, and fish to still raw in the center. Im currently sick from Tilapia that was still red in the center the previous night. There are always solid omelettes and pasta, but the other dishes are consistently bad to where it feels like a chore to eat 3 meals a day.
Since its all you can eat, its definitely worth it. Their food quality is inconsistent but leans on the fairly good side.
Good food, good price... Only down side is parking😔
Its a nice establishment with many options for your meal. The workers are genuinely kind and most of the food is adequate.
Really unexceptional for the price. Not a reliable option without the meal plan. The food is decent at best
You can find here tasty healthy food. Chicken, beaf, vegetables, salads which you can mix by yourself. Also burgers, burito, pizza (amazing), fried eggs, omelette.A lot of drinks even with healthy potassium salt (KCl).Canteen workers are very polite!
I liked coming to this place for lunch almost everyday but it seems like the staff hates their jobs and just makes the atmosphere uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Everyone there has an attitude except for the older lady at the door taking your gator card/payment. Shes super friendly and tries to remember everyones name.
Lot of choices for students at an affordable price. Did not personally like the taste but loved the variety, price and atmosphere. Free wifi too.
Low quality ingredients, underwhelming vegan bar and food diversity. Food is often either overcooked or undercooked. The only reliable part of this establishment is a friendly greeter and good cookies.
A variety of food and drinks for a reasonable price.
Not many options. Mainly pizza and salad. The salada was fresh, but I was expecting more for the 9 bucks.
Amazing meal options - lots of fresh, healthy options.
Good prices and good choice of food. Lots of food is cooked fresh and lots of healthy options.
As always, the food variety at the University of Floridas dining halls are always good.
Clean friendly and fresh food
High quality for a school dinning center, has exactly what you expect, reasonably good food, fresh and fast. Less variety than Broward dining but made up by the made to order dishes available, which are very good
Good place to eat before a gators baseball game
Loved it. Great options. Cheap.
Expensive for mediocre food. Cookies are good though.
Good food but youll get tired of it quick since they never change up the menu
This is great. Different types of food, healthy options, drink and desserts!
Good food. Lots of variety. Decent vegetarian/vegan(limited) options.
Teriyaki chicken wings slap
Great food and great staff
Visited here for the first time in over 12 years recently.... Seems almost the same. It could use an upgrade, but the food was still decent.
A good place for any student to relax and eat, whether with friends or just alone. My only gripe would be the lower food selection compared to Broward Dining Hall.
Pretty good variety but can get old pretty fast if you go there everyday. Friendly staff
Food is not that great, but theres decent service.
I mean its definitely dining hall food. Poor service though.
Food is not great just eatable but you can definitely eat a lot here . Theres also a good variety.
Comparing to fresh food company, this place is smaller and has a somewhat narrower choice
Only worth the money with the meal plan. The food is questionable at times, but the convenience is very nice when you dont know how to fook.
Variety of food and good customer service
Its ok, but it doesnt supercede expectations and falls a bit short sometimes with respect to healthy options.
What to be expected from a high quality college dining center, food is plentiful and of good quality, not like a restaurant, but good enough you dont feel like you are in a cafeteria, everything is always fresh and there is some good variety
Eat all you can is a good option to visit.
Mediocre food that gets tiring quick but the staff are really friendly!
This is one of the two major student dining areas on campus (the other being Broward Dining) and the menu changes daily. Can get a little wild occasionally during summer terms when the Preview students stop by
Good food like a buffet style...
All I can say is this is not your mom and dads college dining experience.
Foods not bad but be picky about what you get. The place is usually fairly clean.
Nice cashiers good food
Good food, accepts the University meal plan. $10 if you dont have one.
Best dining hall ever!
Best buffet, value for price
Good food and service.
Great value for money!
Food varies in quality from day to day. Most of the time it is not good. The staff usually seems lazy and indifferent. In my opinion it was not worth the cost of my meal plan.
I ate here for a year straight. Every day. Best worst food youll ever eat.
Foods are okay but gets boring after a while. Customer service is pretty bad. The cooks are angry all the time.
I love the buffet despite popular opinion
The best dining hall on campus!!!!! I love it!
Pretty good for a college buffet
Bland high-carb food, average service, employees dont appear to not like their
They make milk shakes.
“Reliably disappointing” is an oxymoron but it’s the only way to describe this establishment.
Beats Broward dining.
Food is good breakfast is the best
The food isnt as good as the other dining hall.
Plenty of eating options. The quality is okay.
Better than Broward
Terribly repetitive menu, pairing whatever was in the garbage together and still charges $8.
Dont buy a meal plan, its a trap.
Best food in the world
Excellent choices for the money
Great food
Food cold, not enough food. Not very sanitary. Students serving themselves.
For 3 days now the fruit punch Gatorade is water at any time of day
Food isnt well-cooked and theres cockroaches!
