Be prepared to walk around each sections if you truly want to save $$$ I was able to Dress my Son for his Saint Francis Catholic High School Homecoming dance, pretty much fully! Although, they did NOT have size, style, or color Jacket we wanted. Had to go to Belks for that. But after a couple of hours looking and trying on stuff, I think we walked out saving $250.00 dollars on everything, including stuff I found!

J.C.Penney is not what it used to be, but I guess that is partially, because of the Covid pandemic, people just dont go to the mall, like they used to. It feels strange to be only one of 3 or 4 people in such a large store. I hope things will turn around someday. I was not looking for anything in particular, when I went the other day, just browsing, so its not, that I didnt find what I was looking for, but I left, without buying anything. Maybe next visit ?

Hair salon dose wonders foe me in my family shout out to Jill...one of the best if not the best

Good selection, helpful and pleasant staff. The only issue I had were long lines at checkout. However, this may be due to staffing issues that all businesses seem to be having these days. Besides clothing, this location has a Sephora inside. They also have a nice home goods section.

Please turn on the air. Shopping would be a lot more pleasant and possibly even encourage shoppers to linger if you would just turn the AC on. You can feel the rise in temperature as soon as you walk into this store. Its ridiculously warm and uncomfortable. Its also one of the few stores that still has closed dressing rooms. Its beginning to feel like a bargain basement store. Sad really.

I go to Pennys to get my hair cut, my hair ( whats left ) is pretty important to me, so finding a consistently good hair dresser is so hard to find. I have always had Ms. Sara Powell cut my hair for the past year and she is awesome! Shes pretty booked up and I normally have to make an appointment 2 weeks before, but shes worth the wait. I made the mistake of choosing a different lady to cut my hair and she ruined it till it grew out.

Got 2 pair of 501 button down jeans. Nice selection.

I was able to exchange a dress for one of equal or less value and received a credit. The JC Penney associate was polite, courteous, friendly and efficient.

I can always find my favorite ned and bath accessories and my undergarments.

JC PENNY is one of my go to stores. It is sad that brick and mortar stores, especially mall stores, are on bad financial trouble. It is sad that they have cut back on personnel. It is hard to find a cashier. Other stores, like Belk is worse though.

Went to Sephora in JCPenny to purchase a Fathers Day gift for my husband and the sales associate was beyond helpful. After I made my selection, she watched all my items as I continued to shop for clothing. I ended up saving over a hundred and twenty dollars with my barcode. Wonderful experience.

There was only one associate at checkout with a line wrapped around the store. There were items with no tags that the associate asked me to go run back across the store (twice) to go find something comparable to scan.. The only other set of clothes in that section that were the same also didnt have tags. Had to leave the item at the store rather than waste more time with their confusion at checkout. The entire experience was so frustrating that I would have rather left without purchasing anything, but my daughter was with me & excited about the clothes that we did find that had tags. Suffice it to say, I will NOT be returning.

I always enjoy my shopping experience here. They are struggling financially so Im glad they havent closed this store. They have a good variety of merchandise and its a good value if you shop their frequent sales. The salespeople are friendly and helpful but unfortunately, there are too few of them.

I didnt like it at all. I told the photographer to take pictures of our boys and that I wanted them also separate since one of them is a newborn. All the newborn pics were with the same pose in the basket, no change. No other poses were offered, I really felt like our Special Moment wasnt really cared for. I bought the pictures because ofcourse its my kids but I feel like my time and money were wasted. I have been purchasing photoshoots for about 5 years and this was the worst photo session I have purchased! Never coming back here again!

My love for JC Penney started when I was in the first grade that was the early 1960s starting with plaid dresses an rust suade shoes they had me there. My mom would order from the Penney catalog all of our school clothes. So I find myself following tradition an still shop here..

Always have loved JCPenney. Today they had a minimal selection in shoes that would fit me, probably because of school starting. Also noticed their under clothing section was slim as well. Honestly the place could use a good cleaning and remodeling, but this is more towards the entire mall, its just not the same anymore.

I really only go to Jcpenny anymore to look for the towels I love. However, this store is exceedingly bare compared to previous trips. As Jcpennys is emerging from bankruptcy dwindling stores is to be excepted, but no way to lure or even keep existing customers happy. Get with the times and evolve Pennys if your store is going to survive.

Love this store! But selection seemed low.

I am unfamiliar with this store, but had a return. I came in a side (back?) entrance and had to cross the entire length of the store to find a cashier station. I stood in line, and was next when I noticed I was at the wrong place for returns! Had to cross the store in another direction, and stand in another line. The man who waited on me was VERY nice and helpful. Then, I had a difficult time finding my way out of the store, because I was so turned around!

Our first time at the Gainesville mall. Very nice, neat, well laid out store. Shopping was simple and we easily found all we were shopping. Short line for check-out. All in all, it was a pleasant experience for this guy who doesnt relish shopping.

Walked up to ask a general question to the jewelry manager and instead of politely greeting me she was rude. Went to purchase something where I saw two cashiers standing and was told I had to cash out across the store in the home department. I dropped the merchandise and left.

This Gainesville location is great, big variety, many different sizes, and new stuff coming in. Again do not waste your time in Jacksonville or Orange Park. That being said make sure to watch the cashiers, 3 days in a row in the morning when they open we have had the cashiers not give us change back and we had to ask them to correct this. one of the cashiers is so lazy they wont even take the time to help you with anything they just want to lean on the counter. now one of the open managers is so good they could see that we were wearing JCPenneys products, and what the manufacturer was.

I get my hair cut and colored here. I recommend Mrs Sarah Powell. She is a Great Beautician. Does exactly what you ask of her. You’ll walk out feeling gorgeous!! She also does waxing if needed.

Your customer service is sad. They are rude, and lack any skill at all when it comes to customer service. They can not answer simple direction questions, pricing questions...nothing.

We had an awful experience here last weekend. The store only had regular registers open, so the lines to check out were extremely long. My husband saw that the older man working the jewelry counter was ringing out 2 separate customers that had at least 10 items of clothing, so we asked if he would ring us out for our one item we were purchasing. He said no, he had to get back to selling jewelry (there were no customers even browsing the jewelry). This was extremely frustrating after watching him ring out 2 separate customers with many items, considering we only had 1 shirt. He also had a huge attitude while saying that. We walked over to see if the line km the clothing section line had thinned out, and it hadnt, so we decided to just leave. It wasnt worth waiting in line at least 30 minutes for just 1 $8 shirt (especially with a small child in tow). As we were leaving we passed the same jewelry counter and the same associate was ringing out a 3rd customer, and there was 1 person waiting behind that person to check out. So for some reason he was fine with ringing out 4 separate customers, but refused to assist us. JCPENNEY is one of our favorite stores and we were very surprises to be treated so poorly. We did not deserve his attitude or refusal to ring us out, when he was ringing our multiple other associates. Completely uncalled for and ridiculous experience. The old man that works at that jewelry counter needs some retraining because he does not belong working in customer service if he is going to pick and chose who he will ring out.
