I love visiting NYC and coming to this particular Banana Republic Store. They have a large selection of Mens items. I love a good sweater and Banana Republic always pulls through. The store is huge and so many items to choose from. There is always someone to assist and willing to help in any shape or form. I dont always buy something when I visit but its always worth the trip.
Came to NYC from TX to visit family. Went to BR to see if I could find some clothes for a new job working at a clinic. I had the BEST experience shopping. Mariah was extremely attentive, more than Ive ever experienced even shopping at Nordstrom or Saks Fifth. I was honestly so blown away at the lengths she took to help me find some slacks or items they didnt have it on my size at that store.Honestly, last time I had shopped at BR was years ago. Had a long hiatus from shopping there b/c I never wore anything besides scrubs at my current job. After this experience with Mariah and also seeing the upgrade in quality of clothes at this beautiful store, will definitely be shopping at BR again. I wish I lived in NYC so I could see her again! I hope I can find they had this level of store and customer service in TX!
Found a cute dress. Latisha in the dressing room was super nice and very helpful. Id give her 5 stars. The lack of size 18 is what landed the review on 4 stars.
Knowing were in a pandemic, nothing pleases me more than see everyone following guidelines & be professional at the same time. Even the gentleman who assists you at the dressing room was very helpful & knowledgeable about the clothes banana Republic is selling. Awesome!!
Is this store closing? It used to be the flagship location in Manhattan but not anymore. I stopped in today for the first time in a while and was very disappointed. It looked mostly empty. There was hardly any clothes out on display throughout the whole store (both men’s and women’s). I heard the brand has been doing poorly, so maybe they are phasing these stores out. There were also very few sales people there and the ones who were did not seem very engaged in helping people. It’s too bad, because I remember when I fell in love with this chain just 6-7 years ago and frequented this store as a Luxe card member ☹️
Hi, its Tamaya. I dont usually write reviews but last sunday i was really impressed with one of the banana republics associates behaviour. I think her name is Tasfiaa. She was the most sweetest person, bought me so many outfit choices, like she knew whats up!! (ps, she herself was dressing up so nicely even in black) She got me matching jewelries too. AT first i was kinda conflicted when i entered into the store if i really should buy anything and just go to zara or somewhere else. But she changed my mind. I ended up buying two dresses, two tops and 3 pair of jeans and a earing!! Made a store credit card as well from her. Very excited to shop from here also got to know that new clothing are coming soon? i am definitely coming back and hopefully i could get the help of Tasfiaa again!!
I usually dread going shopping bc I feel like I get written off at a lot of stores I walk into. From the moment I walked into the store on 5th Ave, every staff member I spoke to was so friendly and helpful. They helped me get set up with a new work wardrobe, and I am ready to rock my new clothes! I have to give a shout-out to Mahogany specifically for all her time helping me find pieces that worked for me. I definitely plan to come back soon.

Good store, great sales. They recently moved mens department from lower level to 2nd floor. Its now seems to be smaller and its not as pleasant. Stock is a bit thin, probably due to Covid-19. Hope this location perks up after things get back to normal. A year ago, it would have earned 5 stars.
This is a very big store comparing to others BR and their customer service is always great in each store!I’m a loyal client and card holder, and I love their clothes and shoes, the quality worth every single dollar you pay. :)

About banana republic credit card. When I apply for it in 4/2015. I only shop for shoes and a pair pant. I pay in 6/2015 for 94 dollars on phone. And I ask customer service I pay all right? He told me yes. After I dint receive credits card from banana republic. And then collection money agency threatened me. They no friendly said if no paid now two hundred after will be 3hundred. I scared go to stored to find a lady. She said she can’t help me because She only help for applying credit card. She just give a number just leave. I felt sad. When I walk I cried. So bad experience. After I call banana republic a week. They just give other phone number other phone number. After no phone number can give me so give me address.said write letter to company about your experience. I do. But after still no help me. I’m younger and English no good. I so scared and the money still growing up. After I pay 327. And then the company do charge off and get a bad report for me.
Mgmt used to be good when I worked there. Other older women had an issue with college grads. Not much incentive to open card accounts or spend on clothes but the inventory was nice and they did offer stock options even to part timers. The location of the store is very good.

When you walk into this store you get all the vibes that of luxury shopping for non luxury prices. You can tell that both customer service and visual display is a priority at this location. The sales associate worked hard to get me the item I wanted and was able to accommodate all my coupons/discount codes. As a long term gap-banana customer (10+) and former employee( I worked w/ the company for 7 years) I have to say visiting this store was one of my best experiences. This store will now be my go to when I am shopping at Banana Republic.

Great store and merchandising, staff are nice, but their sizing is very inconsistent and skews very small. I used to be able to buy anything here based on my size, but NOTHING fits the same anymore...oh well, plenty of other options out there.
No wonder this company is going out of business. I opened a credit card with them and never got it so I went to the store and they sent another one. 6 months later they sent me a $15 coupon for my birthday. I went to buy something to use it and when I went to pay, they said my card was missing and account had been closed. The card company said I had to reapply but I would not be able to use my coupon. I took a deep breath, left everything on the counter and left.
This is in Manhattan, New york. There is a beautiful ice- skating arena, where people enjoy in groups. I have seen 70 yrs people participating in it with the help of friends and family members.
A very nice BR store. Clothes are nicely displayed and not crammed together as in some other BR store that Ive been to. Great selection of top end clothes. Nice shoe selection as well.
The quality and value of the chain store aside, I shopped here over the New Year holidays and was assisted in the changing room by an employee who told me I could leave my street clothes in the room and he would lock the door while I went to find other sizes. It was my fault for trusting him, but the long story short: I had over $130 cash stolen from my wallet. I didnt notice until I went to pay for dinner later. Before I realized the money was gone, I noticed one of my lottery tickets, which I only keep in my wallet, was in my pants pocket. I thought it odd and wondered how it got there, until I realized the thief must have dropped it while lifting my cash and in a hurry just stuck it in my pants after returning my wallet to my coat. I went back and told a manager all of this, while returning most of what I had purchased, and acknowledging that I had no way to prove any of this or even point a finger at which of the 4 employees that were in the changing area had stolen it, but I had no doubt what happened. The manager said he would look into it, but 6 weeks later I have not heard from anyone at BR with even so much as an apology. I tried to call the manager, but after 3 phone calls with no one ever answering the phone, I gave up. Like I said, my fault for foolishly trusting another human being. Posting this to alert you to beware — dont trust retail employees no matter how friendly they appear.
This is a great store. BR went all out for this flagship. Mike was uber helpful when we need sizes or additional options.The only bad experience, Joseph was not friendly or willing to help. Maybe hes the GM and too busy to assist.
I loved my shopping experience there, staff are all so lovely, friendly and helpful. Special mention goes to Diane in the fitting room.Will definitely be back next time I’m in New York.

Nice banana republic store. Recently renovated. Helpful staff. Usually not too crowded. Got me some nice brown shoes here.
My kind of store. Pants fit me great, which I cant say of any other clothing makers. This location in particular has a ridiculous inventory. More than any other banana republic Ive been to. Also the team there is AWESOME! I spent a couple of hours there picking out a suit and trying on a bunch of items. They have me the VIP dressing room, which was a nice touch.
If you’re looking to work here just run away. This company believes in seasonal staff for 6 months. It’s a freaking joke. Be careful not worth the headache and the low pay.
This is Banana Republics massive flagship store. Ive been in a couple times, both great experiences. Plenty of helpful staff, even when store is busy.

This place has been a go to for emergency work outfits (they are a block away from my office). I would like to call out Quiana and Stapfion (I think Im spelling his name incorrectly, but he seems to be some sort of manager who is usually upstairs) - they are AMAZING, helpful and always get me in and out of the door quickly...Im ALWAYS on a time crunch and they go above and beyond to make sure I look great and can get in and out quickly. I look for them every time Im in the store - thank you both so much! 4 stars due to banana republic not having the best quality of clothing, but service is great.

Excellent customer service. Displays are a bit disorganized. Samples on mannequins arent close to the stock etc. No flow to the layout.
I recently came here to buy a suit and was very pleased with the level of service and cooperation that I had received. The manager especially went of out of her way to help. Ill definitely return for future purchases for when I am in the city.
The staff were friendly, and I usually buy my tops and denim here. But during my visit, when i skimmed through items and asked about the prices, one lady from the staff told me that all sale items would come out half the sale price. And turns out it was only the regular ones! And on the ticket it said a different price, cashier told me she couldnt have the item coded with the price ON the tag and instead gave a higher price. It was misleading and disappointing!!

Theyre great value when time comes for final sales but quite pricy without the extra discount.Best is to follow Slickdeals and shop when you see the Banana Republic sale as a front page deal.Sizing of their clothing is as should be and I always get a perfect fit even without trying them on. Quality is quite good and style is always up to date.

My daughter and I️ were at the banana republic store in Rockefeller center in nyc picking out a brides dress to where to my sons wedding. All of the Weddington salespeople were so kind and helpful, that I️ ended up buying my mother of the groom dress too !
The selection at this store is pretty good, but it is usually crowded with tourists and the lines for the fitting rooms (which are available on both levels) are frustratingly long. Womens items on sale can be found on the second level near the fitting rooms. Weekly promotions are available with additional perks for Banana Republic card members.
Flagship Store. Even if you have one at home, dont miss this stopping by this one. Im a tall woman and their Logan dress pants fit like a taylor made them. Beautiful store, beautifully made clothes, good service, decent prices.

This is a huge store. Mens is on The Concourse level, womens is on both the first and second floors. The petite section is on the second level and regular clothing is on the first level entering through Fifth Avenue. There are great sales on banana Republics page and if you are in the newsletter you will get all of these great coupons to be able to buy their very very overpriced clothing. You can get better things anywhere else but if you are within the area this is a must go place. Rockefeller Center skating rink is right next door as is Legos and Saks and Fifth Avenue as well as St Patricks Cathedral and Radio City Music Hall and 30 Rock. Be prepared for a lot of walking around a lot of tourist and bumping into homeless people panhandling outside of buildings. Also watch out for horseshit on the streets

This Banana is the flagship store in the city. You can find every single banana collection here. Banana, heritage, monogram, mens, womens, petities - it is really a one stop shop for those who love banana. The store spans 3 levels and has multiple entrances. There is an entire room dedicated to clearance and a couple of fitting rooms sprinkled around the store. The downside is the lines. This is the most popular store and Ive spent a lot of time waiting for fitting rooms or registers during a sale.
When this store has a sale you can find very nice clothing for incredible prices. The store is rather large.
On July 6, 2015 I ordered via CHARGE & SEND 2 dresses from your store to be shipped to me. I was assisted from a store in florida. I purchased the 2 items SLOAN FIT RACER BACK size 4 and TEXTURED V NECK SHEATH size 4 in 2 separate transactions on my card> Person who took the order told me 5 to 7 days to receive the order to address given to her. few days ago I called the store after numerous attempts and spoke to Ruby who took all the info and promised to call back with shipping information. This morning after 6 minutes of repeated call backs finally got through to Jeanie who indicated she needed to investigate, placed me on hold and came back on the line to advise that the top and the pants I was inquiring about needed to have style numbers researched. I again explained it was 2 dresses. She said I needed to speak to Georgie the lead cashier and she needed to have him call me back but never obtained my number (which Ruby took a few days ago) She then advised he had arrived to her location, she would transfer me to him and that I needed to give him some details (which I gave her twice)She transferred me; it rang incessantly and then a message was played that it was an invalid extension or something similar and call disconnected> WHAT IS GOING ON AT YOUR STORE. There couldnt be a line of customers at 10am sharp> I asked at inception of todays call for a store manager but Jeanie insisted on assisting.....I am SO BAFFLED, PERPLEXED, ANNOYED......
