I bought a Mazda 5 here. The condition of this car is very good, and the mileage is very low and maintained very well. We checked the complete vehicle information and conducted a long test drive. During the process, Jeff gave us a detailed introduction to the functions of the vehicle. After we decided to buy, he took us to the bank and insurance company to go through the formalities, and the service was very attentive. After the purchase, they also arranged car wash and refueling services. All in all, this is a very good car buying experience.

Second car had an issue common with the type of car I bought within a few days. Even though the sale was as-is, they took care of it right away at no cost to me and even gave me a ride back to work. I owned a lumbering and aging 2007 Toyota Sienna van that had 162K miles on it and was giving me only 15 MPG. After starting a new job, I quickly began to look for a replacement vehicle that was as comfortable as my van but offered better MPG and improved agility for urban driving/commuting and seeing customers. After noticing a Hyundai Genesis online, I began to do a wider search for one of these on AutoTrader. Select Motor Car had the best value on a 2013 Genesis for a 200 MILE RADIUS! No one offered a better price / mileage ratio.When I arrived, it only got better. I was met by a very nice HUMBLE man named John who genuinely listened to me and gave me the keys. Once I drove the Genesis I was sold. Now, it was just a matter of negotiating the best overall deal. After some very friendly negotiations on my trade allowance I signed. Jack Pent was great in handling the financing. He taught me how the big box dealers sling shot credit causing your score to drop as much as 20 points. Select doesnt do that. They work with local community lenders. He also helped me obtain a duplicate smart key at 1/2 the price the dealer would have charged. (I checked)I ended up with a great payment, a great vehicle, AND a great new lower INTEREST rate, plus they even took care of a problem with the vehicle even though it was sold AS IS. 15 is the number of days Ive had my new vehicle, its been accessible for 7 of those days and in the shop for 8 of those days. But select told me that since the warranty paid for it I shouldnt complain or expect them to rectify the situation short of helping me find a new truck which I could do myself. Now I am in a situation where I have to trade again and im out my 1500 down payment. I have had to pay additional childcare expenses to get to and from the shop and as a Realtor who depends on her vehicle to show properties, I was unable to do my job as I had no vehicle for 8 days. Not doing the right thing for someone who has had to spend time and money for loss of vehicle immediately after purchase is unethical. It has been made clear that your owner cares very little about the welfare of his customers once theyve put money in his pocket and that will not go unnoticed. Shameful!!!

I inquired online about a truck I saw when I drove by and Jon one of their salesman contacted me shortly after the same day. Select Motors has a good car selection. Great competitive pricing better then southeast cars who have their no hassle pricing. No dealership is perfect let’s agree but they did treat me very good and took care of everything on the truck I purchased. The exact same truck is at Southeast but mine was a few thousand cheaper at Select motor with same mileage. It was missing a headrest but I found the exact one I needed and they reimbursed me. Jon kept me updated during the whole process and was very honest and very attentive. The whole time I was there the focus was on me and me alone. I was financed the same day with campus and didn’t even take half the day. Go see Jon or Rafael because they will treat you right.

I still cant believe the experience I had with select motor cars in Gainesville. I was expecting your standard run of the mill used car dealership experience where you get lied to, tricked into over paying, and inevitably sold a lemon.My salesman, Rafael, was easy going, honest and best of all he did what he said he was going to do in the time frame he said he was going to do it. After buying my truck I had one request for minor body repair and he said he would take care of it. When I got home I realized the tailgate wouldnt stay closed so I sent Rafael a text asking him if he wouldnt mind having that fixed as well. His response? Absolutely, buddy. and without any sort of push-back my truck got the repairs I asked for the next day and was returned promptly when he said it would be done. That is something I can say does NOT happen very often.I have had my truck for two weeks now, driven down to Orlando and back, inspected it thoroughly and had a few mechanics look at the truck for anything I may have missed. Every one of them said the same thing, that I got a great deal and paid a very competitive price.Having said all that I would like to thank select motor cars for making this experience surprisingly pleasant when I was fully expecting to end up unhappy. Rafael is the man, if you can get in there and talk to him just know that from personal experience, his word is good.

After narrowing down my list of possible cars online, I found the exact car I wanted and came in to test drive it. They let me keep it for a few days, which was completely unexpected. They had just gotten the car recently, and they let me know the car had a pending front wheel alignment. I had it checked out by my own mechanic, and the repair estimate matched what select motor had told me before I left the lot. I purchased the car, and have been very happy with it so far. Great customer service, I would definitely recommend them.

Purchased our car from this establishment three weeks ago. The second I drove the car off of the lot after signing all the paperwork I noticed it had the maintenance needed light flashing. Of course I didnt notice this during the test drive, which would have been far more convenient. I called John, my Salesman, at Select Motor Cars, and he explained that I could simply bring it back in the next day to get the oil change done and make things right. He had mentioned before he sold the car that car was up to date on all of its maintenance so it was only fair that he fix the issue even though I hadnt noticed it until I had already signed the dotted line. This place has lots of excellent cars and most fairly priced. They work within your budget and they really try to find you the car you are interested in even if it isnt currently on their lot. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a car and I will be back. I did not trade a card in so I dont know if they offer a fair price for trades. Thanks John!

Select Motor Cars is in my opinion is a stand-up organization. I attempted to buy a car for my business from them, but discovered, through a 3rd party review of the vehicle, that it was not going work for our intended purpose. I paid almost $200 for the 3rd party review and felt that Select should have known the circumstances and advised me accordingly before I spent the money for someone else to tell me. I subsequently advised Select that they should reimburse me for the the $200 expense. Even though I live out of state and they had no obligation, they nevertheless fully reimbursed me along with a nice letter.

If you want a dealer you can trust, make sure you meet Rafael Diaz at Select. He went out of his way to make sure my daughter got a reliable and safe car. Its rare to find a person like Rafeal in the car business. If your in the market for a car, make sure you see him. Youll be thankful you did. We are!!!!

DO NOT EVER PURCHASE A CAR AT SELECT MOTOR CARS.I wish giving zero stars was an option. They sold me a lemon. I cleared out my savings account at $5300 for one of their cars four months ago, and since then, my car has broken down three times. The first time, it was the radiator cap/radiator belt/leaking coolant. The second time, it was a blown head gasket/throttle body/still leaking coolant. The third time, it was THE ENTIRE ENGINE. The repair shop I took it to told me that my car had to have been unfit to drive since the day I bought it, because the car is as bad as it gets. Since I signed this car as is, I am screwed out of my money; I am now money-less and car-less and will remain that way for a couple of years until I can save up enough to purchase a new one. Being that I am an out-of-state graduate student and live off campus, this is far from inconvenient. This is a disgrace.DO NOT. EVER. IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. BUY FROM SELECT MOTOR CARS.

Im very pleased with my experience. I knew what I was looking for and they bent over backwards. There were two cosmetic issues a cracked taillight, scuffed rim that with the sell they would replace. They ordered everything while I was still in the office. Im very impressed!

This is one shadey business. I contacted Select a week ago interested in an Audi A3. This would have been the 3rd car I purchased from them. The first was an Infinity, which I had to return because the engine light came on the day I drove it home. Took it back, they had it for 3 weeks, picked it up and the engine light came on again. Told the salesman, I did not want this car. They did take it back and I bought a Mercedes c300. The c300 had a service light in as soon as I started it up. They did fix the car and I drove it for two years until the transmission gave out. I was willing to try them again with the Audi A 3. Whole Rafael was working on getting it financed, I took the car for a test drive and was heading over the next day to make a deposit. I was told at that time, the car had been sold to another buyer. I said you sold the car while we were working a deal? Yes, I was told. Well thats not good business. This type of behavior is why people dont trust used car salesman. Bottom line: buyer beware! The cars are from auctions and are generally junk.

Seven months ago, I purchased a 2014 Nissan Rogue, black, very nice but had a few scratches on it. I was promised a paint job to cover the scratches on the vehicle prior to me purchasing the car but it didnt happen. I kept getting told the guy was book and no one took the initiative to call me back to set up an appointment. So, make sure what ever needs to be done, is done prior to making a purchase or at least written out on paper.
