We actually live in Ocala, and had several options close by but, chose to drove to Gainesville because of the ease of working with this GMC Gainesville dealership.We just purchased a brand new 2021 Canyon. Everyone there did an amazing job to give us what we we’re looking for. Dennis and Ryan were exceptional, Dennis made sure the truck came in at the price we were looking for and expedited the deal without any headaches or unexpected snags.Ryan the service advisor did a fantastic job of putting accessories on the canyon. I went in for an oil change and tie rotation, when I left my SUV was acting funny skipping and at 1 point wouldnt turn on and it was shaking I took it back and to check if something wasnt done right it was no cost but if there is something wrong besides the oil or rotation I would have to pay $145 my SUV was checked and I was told for the mileage it has my spark plugs will need to be change. But when I left all was fine I honestly believe something was not done they corrected but didnt tell me what I didnt get a summary of what was done or not done Ive had my SUV for a while and I know it very well so no I wont be back.
Excellent customer service. We had an incident the day before moving our daughter back to Illinois after graduation. They were able to get us in quickly on short notice and get it fixed so we could leave on time. My daughter had bought a used car from them and had it serviced there while in Gainesville for grad school and we had always had great service but had never had to use the collision center up until that point. Would go back there any time and would recommend to anyone. Thanks so much for your help

I brought my vehicle in for a diagnostic on an issue I couldnt figure out myself. I received basically a shoulder shrug, a speculation without investigation about an issue thats clearly not correct, and I was sent on my way. While I appreciate not being charged, Im not sure who I can expect to troubleshoot if not a dealership that sees these vehicles frequently. I expected more help.
Repair was adequate in itself. The problem I had was that the technician did not even bother to wipe down the area that was fixed. I pointed out the problem to the manager himself and he was dismissive. Later the shop called to find out if I was satisfied. When I explained my disappointment they offered to clean up the area if I would bring back my car (60 mile round trip). I hung up
Kim is a great representative for your company. A check made out to cash was misplaced and found by one of the service technicians during the repair appointment. It was returned to me so I am very thankful for the honesty and integrity displayed by the staff.
Everyone is no nice. Great communication from Alonzo and Eric. They both kept me informed of the status of repairs and when to expect the repairs to be done. And it was ready on the exact date. Greatly appreciated. The workmanship was also great. I never have complaints. I was very (happily) surprised at the low cost of the maintenance that we had done at the same time as the repairs from the accident. Thank you all.

Working with Tyler (our salesman) was great. I was disappointed when later we found out the online price was 5,000 less than what we were offered. My fault for not taking more time to educate myself. It would have been nice to have a more honest sales manager.
I was not pleased with the service I received at all. The only upside to the visit was I only had to pay half price for a diagnostic test that was preformed on my vehicle that I was told would be covered by the extended warranty which I purchased through the company which just so happen to cover everything but the part that I needed and I received a copy of that test because I asked for it so I could get my vehicle fixed elsewhere.
Rachel was GREAT! She really seemed concerned about keeping me informed on the progress of my car being serviced since I had to wait awhile because of GM Safety Recalls being fixed on my Yukon Denali.
The service was great except for having to call a representative back due to my phone stand attached to my dashboard being broken and the floor mat on drivers side was left extremely dirty. I just purchased and placed mats down prior to getting the car serviced. I havent received any call back addressing the matter of broken phone stand. Besides those minor concerns. The service and turnaround was quick and efficient with rental car service provided at the location.
Do not use GMC service department if you want your car back in a timely manner. Their lack of communication is horrendous. It was a Weds 10am, we received a quote for our truck to get fixed.. however after further investigation on our part .. it was a factory defect and GMC was to cover it.. then two days go by and we still do not have a truck and they will not get back to us about the repair.. the “parts” are now unsure when they will be in… BUT if we were paying the parts were in? Interesting.. it’s now Saturday.. we have asked for a loaner because I we already paid for a rental for three days and still no response. NO COMMUNICATION… constantly pushed to the side … and there is not a solution to fixing our vehicle…
4 years ago, I was scammed out of $600 by a Gainesville GMC associate. The associate is no longer with the company. I was asked to pay the down payment in cash. I went to the bank to get the cash and returned to make the payment. Once I handed over the payment, I asked for a receipt. The associate went inside to “grab the receipt” and comes out to say that they are out of ink and paper for the receipt so I will have to return the next day to get the receipt. When I returned, he was no longer “employed” and I was out of $600 and no receipt of the transaction.The manager stated that the camera did not catch the transaction and there was nothing that can be done but to file a police report. He also informed me that the receipt should have been printed by the store associate because they were fully stocked on ink and paper to make receipts for customers.The police could not do anything about the scam without a receipt. Their advice was to be careful people and always keep paper trails.
False advertising, they lure you in with an amazing price, give them a trade in and you end up still paying more for the vehicle. These guys are con artists. They should be reported to the law for what they are doing to their customers.

Our sales representative was pushy and added unnecessary charges such as Gainesville Advantage for $3,000 without a single mention of it. I understand car salespeople do not have our best interest at hand but, at least, make it seem like you do. We left without purchasing a car and found a significantly better deal elsewhere by simply shopping our options online. Do not be afraid to walk away if you feel pressured.
The appointment scheduling process is ineffective and useless. I booked an 11am appt, arrived at 10:40, and it still took over 2 hours for a simple oil change and tire rotation. Why book an appt when youre just going to get to it as soon as possible? I had other appts scheduled for that day, and your inept system disrupted the remainder of appts I had scheduled for that day. If you dont have adequate staff, then dont book/overbook the appts! Its not rocket science, folks! Do better!!!

My husband and I recently purchased a vehicle from Gainesville Buick GMC and it was overall a great experience! As the vehicle we purchased was used, there was a cosmetic issue that we asked to be corrected, and the detailers did a beautiful job of correcting the issue. Plus, once corrected, they delivered the car to me at my job, which I really appreciated. The Sales Advisor we worked with, Axel, was very enthusiastic and personable, and helped us find the perfect vehicle for us. The Finance Manager, Chad, was also wonderful to deal with and made sure we had the best rate and all of the appropriate coverages that we were looking for. Then, the General Manager, Sean, followed up with us after the sale to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were fully satisfied. Everyone was up front and honest. They did everything possible to make a deal that worked for my budget. There was a slight increase on my final numbers but I was well informed and asked multiple times if I was still comfortable with my deal BEFORE I signed any paperwork!

I took my truck here twice. I originally called another dealership for an oil change and they quoted me 180 dollars. Crazy!! I came to this dealership and got the same exact service for 85 dollars. Another time I took my truck here for a check engine light and they had it back to me in no time! Matt Howell, my service guy, did an amazing job communicating and helping me out. He even stayed 30 minutes late to help me get my truck dropped off. This is a great place, I highly recommend them.

I had a good experience, Mark was great and put the work in to get me into the car I wanted at a price I was ok paying. My issue is with the other aspects that was well out of his hands. Mainly, the smell of cigarette smoke has started to come through whatever scent their detailers sprayed in an attempt to cover it up. For work I service medical ventilators for patients getting their treatments from home and unfortunately this means I get vents that smell like ash trays and am very familiar with the work it takes to clean them in order to get the smell out. With that being said I do not believe these individuals took the time and care to do the job properly and it’s making me question whether the vehicle was properly sanitized due to COVID.

Rachel was very friendly and tried to help.But overall service was horrible, warranty issue and no loaner or rental car available. Was forced to take my car away for the holiday weekend without the infomate working. Had oil changed and tires rotated, oil sensor never reset, showed only 41 percent, makes me question if they even changed the oil.Tires where rotated, but the tire pressure sensor only registered 2 out of 4 tires.All of this should have been inspected before giving car back to me.So overall I dont trust the people at the service department.Thinking of going back to Chevrolet, always had good service with them.I have bought new trucks 2014, 2017, Chevrolet. I switched to gmc 2021, but probably will go back to Chevrolet because of this negative experience.
This location is horrible. They hire scammers and they lie to make sales. I would advise you to purchase your car from an honest car company and to not waste your time with Gainesville GMC. Not to mention that the manager is ALWAYS unavailable to speak and address high concerns. Word of advice, try hiring more than one manager 😡

Unfortunately, the customer service and service dept. are very cold and uninviting, however they do great work. But with Buick and GMC, they made me feel like a valued customer and that really means a lot. I will continue to visit this location for any future service needs. Thank you!
I greatly appreciate this BUICK GMC team! This team took care of everything without the run around. After a bad experience at George Moore in Jax, I talk to the manager here and explained that I am a couple of hours away from the dealership and want to make sure in advance that the purchase deal is ready to sign before I leave the house because my current vehicle not driving well. He made sure everything was taken care ahead of time and I picked up a great GMC Terrain ~ I got 5 xs less interest than George Moore was charging AND received 5 xs more on my trade in than George Moore was offering. GO TO BUICK GMC for great service!!!
Summary:Previously a happy customer, but not this time. Decent salesperson, but the dealership is using tactics which dont pass the smell test. Want a cheap used car from a dealership that doesnt mess around? Go north past this place to Subaru of Gainesville. I did, and was glad for it. (Review of them coming soon.)Full review:My wife bought a used car from this dealership a couple of years ago and was very happy. Since I needed a cheap commuter, they were my first stop of the day. Cortlan was the salesperson who worked with me and went along for the test drive. Decent guy. Patient and good communicator. We went back to the dealership to work out a price. Thats where things took a turn.The car (2005 Buick LaCrosse) was advertised for $6000 online (marked down from $7000). First it was explained that $6000 was only with trade-in. Then the sales manager came out with a sheet that added up to $11500. Nearly double the sale price. (This included the infamous Gainesville Advantage $1500 fee.) They negotiated down to $9500 before I left to look at other vehicles. I understand that times right now are tough, but their tactics felt slimy and ended up at a price which was nowhere near competitive with the other cars on my list. Cortlan called me later in the day offering to match the $8800 out-the-door price I was quoted on a 2010 Honda Fit (5 years newer, better commuter) at Subaru of Gainesville. Like I said, good communicator. That price still wasnt touching the value I found elsewhere, and frankly... though I want to throw Cortlan my support, that support has ended where his workplace is concerned.
GMC honored their tire warranty and we purchased them last year in 2020. Thank you for valuing us as long term customers and Mrs. Kim is the greatest.

The sales rep Matt Martin and his manager has great personalities and definitely would be my first go-to if I were to be looking for another used vehicle. There was no pressure from them at all into buying a vehicle just to make a sale. We told them what features and kind of used vehicle we were looking for, price range and they gave us our options, even searched their sister dealerships down the road. We had not intended on buying a vehicle that day, but we found one we loved and they made us a great deal we couldn’t refuse.If your looking for a used (or new) vehicle, do not pass this place up, and ask for Matt Martin he has been one of the best sales reps I have worked with.

Let me start by saying I am a gear head, I know cars, I love cars and I have been buying cars for 22 years now. With that said, I had the most excellent experience with this dealership. They happened to have a very hard to find BMW that I was able to purchase seamlessly from 1500 miles away. They then so graciously held the car for weeks while I moved those 1500 miles. I dealt with several employees and they were all fantastic when I went to pick up the car I got to meet them and they were just as fantastic in person. Whoever does the hiring at this establishment has done some good picking as there are some true gentlemen working there.And whoever detailed my car did an amazing job and managed to deliver me a 14 year old car with no visible swirl marks in the paint. We decided to drive 2 1/2 hrs to Gainesville GMC because they were referred to us. we got there after 6 pm on a friday night nd they were ready for us with a smile. From the GM Sean to the night manager Nick to our awesome sales person Marc Cato, We couldnt have asked for a better team. Gainesville Buick GMC Sales and ServiceI just wanted to state that we are thrilled with our experience here. We found exactly what we were looking for. At 10pm at night, Terry Arce made chatted with me on-line to verify that all the features we wanted were on the vehicle. That Saturday, they had the vehicle cleaned and staged. We were buying an off-lease Acadia with AWD and Tow package... difficult to find in FL. We arrived on a Friday night about 6pm for the purchase and were finished after our inspection, test drive, and paperwork by 9pm, at the agreed upon price with extended warranty and appearance protection plan - important as this will be used to haul around a trailer and Boy Scout Troop.We were disappointed a few days later when the battery died (It was a 3yr lease---in FL 3-yr is standard battery life). I always appreciate how timely they get me in and out of the service dpt. I went in for a routine oil change, but had a rattling sound in my backseat that I mentioned upon arrival. They drove my car, problem solved, and tried to identify the issue while I was there. Eventually, they found it. Loose bolts in the backseat where my kiddos sit! VERY IMPORTANT REPAIR! Then repaired it while it was there, covered under warranty.This visit took a little longer than others b/c of that repair, but I am VERY thankful for their willingness to take a look and get it fixed! Always a great experience at GMC!

Not the Best experience I had with a Dealership in Gainesville, Even Worse after you purchased a New Vehicle. Just did not deliver on their service.-Got my Tag wrong, Charge me for a New Tag? You Just need to Transfer the old tag. Screwed up My registration, Had come back to fix it.-Lose part, Made very difficult to appointment. Then-GM is Hard to get intouch with.-Misinformation - About Car Cleaning Protect, Just bring SUV buying, well take care of it fast forward 14 Days later after buying you get transfer to people that have no idea what you talking about.I Love My Vehicle but if I had to do it again I wouldnt choose this dealership.
Inquired about purchasing a used vehicle. Very slow response times on all communication and many hidden fees. The listed vehicle was listed at $6900; their first offer on this vehicle was $11,800. Very unreasonable.After countering the initial offer, I did not receive any communication back. Would not recommend trying to purchase a used vehicle here.

I didnt buy his warranty plan because I had the dealer warranty still in place. The conversion became very unprofessional, rude and condescending. We have to move along because I have other customers to deal with. We almost got up and left. My wife was floored. If Frank had not already bent over backwards for us, John would have been a deal breaker. I hate leaving bad reviews but this was the worst I have been treated by a business professional in years. But again, the vehicle is outstanding and our service up to that point was awesome!
I made an appt.at 2.30 didnt leave until almost 4pm got oil change I guess also ask for tire rotation didnt get that as well I had to stand waiting for 10 minutes well Eric was talking to another employee to me nonsense almost a hour and half later no tire rotation or didnt reset my gauge nor my sticker for return service or my check point paper I was very very disappointed on my service which I had never experienced that will not return

The staff was so helpful, well informed about the car and that really made the process easy and understandable. Being that I was 2 states away, they still were able to bring value to the sale and now have a long term customer!
Nick one one of the nastiest managers I have ever talked to! Took over a week just to get a quote for a car he still didnt give me the numbers for! sent in all the information I was asked to.Told me i just wasnt going to cut it. Completely unprofessional your so busy trying to stereotype people with financing instead of just doing your job. You dont pass your client around and expect them not to be upset and then when they call and try to talk to you,you have the audacity to try to speak over them. You have zero customer service skills, and it really shows.your not and after all that willing to give your service to everybody and not just people that you think dont have any means.

Kim M. worked really hard to ensure I had a smooth process for getting my car fixed. She took the time to make sure I understood what was being fixed and why it needed to be fixed. My car runs much better than before. When the repair started to take longer to get done she provided a way for me to get into a gm vehicle so I wouldnt have to come further out of pocket and it would be handled under the warranty policy. I really appreciate everything and Kim working with me during a rough time.

Our sales associate, Brittany Crews, was absolutely fantastic and made buying a new car (my first time doing so) a very easy process. She knew a ton about the car and even showed us little tips and tricks to help reduce maintenance costs. We never felt pressured into buying and, having done extensive research on the car beforehand, we knew what a fair price was. Gainesville Buick GMC not only had it listed at the accurate market value, but offered other dealership discounts making the car almost impossible to pass up. My original rating was 3 stars, however, I decided after thinking my experience over, to change it to one. Let me explain why and Ill start from the beginning. I found a chevy traverse on Facebook marketplace and it was located at Gainesville Buick GMC. I called the dealership to check to see if it was still available and I got transferred to sales. He looked up the vehicle and told me it was available and set mw an appointment to come in to see it. The listing did not match the vehicle at all. The description listed power windows and tons of extras and this was a very basic model. The inside was messy and it smelled like a dog. I test drove it, and it was shaky, it wasnt a smooth ride, and I mentioned that. We got back to the dealership, and thats when they told me it was a brand new trade in and hadnt been inspected yet. He takes it back and they ran an inspection, and it did not pass. They wouldnt tell me what was wrong with it or anything just that it didnt pass. He then tells me they have another vehicle for me to see, it was newer, nicer, and I would love it. I was really hesitant because I knew it would be more expensive and I had a certain budget I wanted to stay in. I decided to look at it, and it was great, there were a few things I pointed out that needed to be addressed like the chips and crack in the windshield, and the glove box that wasnt attached also the windshield washer light was on. My salesman stated those things would absolutely be repaired and I decided to take the vehicle. It took hours for them to simply wash it. I was stuck there it felt like forever. I kept getting told 10 more minutes after being there over 4 almost 5 hours and it was definitely wasnt. I was told I was getting an owners manual and air freshener, that didnt happen. Ive had my car a couple of weeks now, and the financing company called me to see if my windshield was repaired and I told them no. Well after that the dealership was blowing my phone up, and I couldnt answer, I was at work. They werent very nice about it either. I received a final call from the dealership demanding I call the bank and inform them that my windshield was repaired, even though it wasnt so the contract can be finalized. I was told if I did that to call right back, and I would have my appointment scheduled for the repair. Against my better judgment, I lied, I called the bank, told them it was fixed, and called the dealership right back with no answer or reply. A week later I still have a chipped windshield that is now cracking. I text whoever was texting me on Saturday, and this was the response I received...I thought my sales manager called you to get it figured out. I will get with him and have an update for you shortlyStill NOTHING. I wouldnt send anyone else here, so they can avoid the headache. I think that its really unprofessional, for one, asking someone to lie for them, and for two, not to keep your end of the deal. I really with I would have kept my 5 grand deposit at this point and went somewhere else. I hope this review saves alot of trouble for someone else.
Went in to test drive a durango they had listed for $27K. Car wasnt detailed yet when I saw it which wasnt a big deal. Salesman Matt was friendly and personable. Issues all came down to money and the car itself. Did a walk around of the car after the test drive and the entire right side was damaged like it had been sideswiped (Carfax says no damage or accidents though). Im taken aback that they showed a car that had such obvious damage and didnt even notice til I said something.STILL I was willing to talk numbers (pending a full repair of the car). I wait for almost 20 minutes for my guy to come back with the price breakdown and the out the door price on that $27K car is almost $32K. $1500 JUST in some ridiculous package of perks that I didnt even want. AND THEN they tell me that they have the car priced too low and its worth more and if I dont take the deal the price will go up. Mind you, this car is already priced above the KBB value WITHOUT taking into account the damage done to it.I would never even consider coming here again for a car. Ridiculous prices, no attention to detail with the vehicle, and I waited 20 minutes just to see the price breakdown. I wont be a customer and I will advise others to avoid as well.

Worst experience ever. Got a car in November and the engine blew in January and I had to pay for everything other than the engine which was almost $1000 and yesterday my car started to smell like straight gas in the inside and they just called saying they gasket blew and I have to pay the part that I did not mess up !!!! They sold me lemon and now I’m getting a lawyer. I have only had my car back since March 18
Car shopping is never fun for me, I absolutely hate the whole process. With that said... they did a wonderful job getting me into a vehicle I love! Negotiations were stressful and there were some hiccups but I know I got the best possible deal for my vehicle. I have to commend the leadership team for following through on a promise offered that was a miscommunication. They really took care of me and proved that they care about their customers and put them 1st. Thank you for making it right! I would recommend this dealership for your next car shopping experience. Richard explained everything when it came to the vehicle and the features of OnStar. Everyone there were so polite & friendly. They explained every paper and every step. I’m from Pensacola, Fl. I couldn’t find a truck a liked for a price I liked. I contacted Austin here in Gainesville and he found me a loaded ltz Silverado right in my price range.
We found the perfect Arcadia at this dealership. There was a misprint on the price of it and I really didnt think wed close the deal. But our salesman called in his manager Frank and we worked really hard to make a deal. After we got done with finance, the payment was a little higher than we agreed upon and Frank had left to go home, but we loved the car so much we went through with the deal. After Frank returned to work on Monday and found out what had happened he called me and asked what he could do justify the difference in payment. We again were able to make a deal. He was very determined to make me happy and wants me to be a return customer. It may have not been a perfect deal but they definitely wanted to go the extra mile to make me happy and get my return business.
No time is a good time for your vehicle to break down, but the service department could not have been more helpful and understanding. They were quick to respond to my needs. Kim Murscoe was my service manager and she is excellent at her job. I highly recommend the GMC Buick dealership in Gainesville, Florida.
Richard was GREAT! My wife and I live about 2 hours away and we found the minivan we liked and Richard did everything he could to get us in it that day even stayed late after closing. They were also very patient with us having our 1 and 2y.o. with us which they can be a handful when your trying to sign/going over a bunch of paperwork. The overall all experience was excellent would definitely recommend them and Richard 👍

The sales representative, Theo, initially acted very friendly and willing to accommodate to our needs of purchasing a vehicle. He proceeded to make a bunch of false promises including having no payments in the first 45 days and having a monthly payment of 25$ lower than the actual payment amount. Only once I signed the papers for purchasing the vehicle did they refuse to uphold our agreement. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. They will tell you one thing just to make a sale and flip it on you the moment you sign.

Listed a truck on their website that had not gone through their inspection process.I was originally in contact with Steven, who seemed helpful at first.I drove from west palm to Gainesville to look at the truck, and it wasnt until I arrived that I was told (by Neil) it had problems and couldnt be sold. When I asked for clarification on what the problems were he was unresponsive.I was then told by Steven, in fact it could be sold. I asked that before I stop by someone explains to me what the problem is so that I can assess if its worth buying still as I have a 5month old son and I dont want to spend hours at a dealership if Im not going to be leaving with a vehicle.I was assured by Steven on multiple occasions that someone would be in touch right away to let me know. I never received a call/email or text with this information.Extremely unimpressed with this experience. Youd think a car dealership would be more motivated to sell cars...

Dishonest Salesman. We communicated with Justin (Internet Sales) numerous times on 1 vehicle. We scheduled date/time to come drive the SUV. He knew it was over 2 hour drive one way for us to come. We saw numerous pictures of the truck and we asked a few times if there was any scratches on the truck. Justin said “No” and that he inspected the truck and didn’t see anything.We arrive today with intentions to drive and purchase the SUV. Within 2 minutes, I see several scratches on the SUV in a few places. One of which is a large place where paint chip is missing and is the size of my fingernail directly on driver door. I showed Justin and he says “Wow. I didn’t see that!”That paint chip is IMPOSSIBLE to miss. It’s on the drivers door!! We spent less than 30 minutes there and had over 4 hours worth of travel time in the trip to the dealership — all for nothing! Complete waste of our time. They did give us a tank of gas, but that’s only because we asked. Wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!!!
