The general atmosphere made me uncomfortable
Outside pickup is good. Instructors inside is also good.
The only place a Santa fe student can receive their books using their financial aid, staff also willing to accept late refunds depending on the circumstance
Great little book store. Has lots of other items for sale for many different needs. Also has snacks and drinks, clothing and other novelties.Staff there was excellent help.
Got my 1st book. $58 for a new textbook sealed in plastic and where the cover of this hardback book folds has a small tear. Not cool. What kind of quality control do they have? Wasting my time having to deal with this and return for a new other one.
Good place to get text books if you have financial aid and need them sooner rather than later. But if not, you can usually find textbooks on amazon and other sites cheaper. The mark up on electronic devices like laptops is really high, so if looking here for them, make sure to do your research and check out other places first so your not paying an extra $200 for a laptop just so the store can get a cut of the money. Always great workers and friendly service.
Has many things that the student needs in a convenient location.
They provide a decent variety of snacks and beverages along with every book under the sun for your educational needs. The staff is friendly and functional. There is a new set of staff as of the new year and they are a few newbies, so be patient with them at least.
It was ok, has used books and your school essentials.
Never answer the fr.. phone.
Aside from the not-surprising extremely high book prices, I’ve always had good experiences here. The employees go over the top to help and are always nice. They also have a wide selection of snacks, food, and drinks for a quick bite to eat. I found myself coming here more and more for breakfast in the morning. If your bus gets here early before your class it’s a nice spot to stop and grab a bite. At the end of the year they buy books back for what I thought was a pretty good deal.
Although the floor staff is great, trying to get a book shipped to your house is an ordeal. For school supplies or drinks and snacks it is fine, but if you need a book just drive there and pick it up, you are better off.
Pretty cool bookstore, they have just about everything you could possibly need to be a college student and a productive person. Also you get an advance on your loans to buy from here, making your student ID a credit card. Beware the computers are cheaper at other places. What you are paying extra for is saving time and convenience. Awesome staff!
Its according to the time of day but sometimes you can get in and out pretty quickly. Best time to go is when classes are in Not only do they have textbooks but quick food too. Even a few things that are hot.Of course they have memorabilia for Santa Fe. If you check the sales racks you can usually find something cheap. If you need to text but right now I dont mind paying the price they have them. Everything thats being offered at Santa Fe.Its close to where you can catch a city bus if you need it or go get your ID replaced.
As good as can be given the current constipated atmosphere of our colleges and universities. Beautiful campus, clean, organized, ferociously non smoking, everybody is on guard about behaving as they should. Utter conformity, fake liberalism, this is not the students fault. Being allergic and vegan is strongly recommended. Outrage should be coded, selective, well planned, and very careful
Great store. With a great selection. The Manager Steve was very helpful !!
Great staff. Everything I needed to start my classes. Only downside is it gets SO crowded! Best go early if getting textbooks for the semester
Great store with great workers. Book prices are high, so make sure you price match! Careful buying tech here. Prices are sometime double standard listing price.
Staff is friendly and helpful, found everything I needed for my classes quickly and efficiently :)
Buy your books online, overinflated prices. This should only be treated as a study area and a good place to grab coffee and snacks. The book prices here are absurdly expensive and not viable for students budgets. Aside from that it’s normally a quiet place to study in and the coffee is partnered with Starbucks so you can get some Starbucks drinks here.
Purchased book online for in store pickup and after 2 days of processing it is still not available for pickup. Was instructed to just go in to the store and buy the same book off of the shelf. Some of the staff were friendly, while others made the process feel like I was at the DMV. Bookstore is nice, but this online ordering for in store pickup is a nightmare and will put you behind in your classes.
The price inflation/convenience fee is real here. But its for the convenience. Staff is really nice though, plus they have snacks!
Friendly and helpful staff
Dont buy your books here. Its great for last min supplies, snacks, and a magnet for your moms fridge. The staff are all supper nice
It should be criminal to charge students these prices. I just got an access code for $78 while it is on pearson for $51. They should be ashamed to mark the prices up that much, especially when its easier to get it from the publishers website. But SF has a contract with them so all the teachers recommend them per the contract even though you can buy or rent online for less.
It was super busy. Lines were really long. I didnt have my student ID and they used my license which was cool.
Please update store hours
Always rented textbooks here despite the prices I have seen then take back worse textbooks then they should although not a single student that works there sees a problem with my rental the woman running the store refuses to take it back I rented it for $70 and they want me to pay another $104 for a book that has absolutely no writing in or on it and not a single tear but the rope of the book has some grey staining from charcoal that will not rub off on anything and I was told that it will get black all over everything I will never spend my money in this store again!!!!!
Great service but like all college book stores the prices are through the roof.
Nice staff and store but do not buy your lab coats there for $24.99 because you can get them at the sf sharewear thift store for $1! They do not let you return them only exchange for sizes..
Absolutely terrible customer service. I accidentally ordered the wrong item, so I never picked it up and they charged me anyways. I asked to speak with a manager multiple times and they were always away on lunch. On multiple occasions I was promised a call back and never received one-- this bookstore is here to steal your money and nothing more. Completely ridiculous that I was charged $150 for something that I dont even have nor ever picked up. The college should shut these thieves down and open a more ethical bookstore that actually cares about helping the students rather than taking their money.
Ok, for the food side involving the ready to eat stuff, expect the same quality and price as a gas station (which I think is ridiculous for a community college).Otherwise, wide range of supplies for all your classes, fantastic coffee, and friendly staff.
Little over cluttered but everyone is friendly
Very helpful when it’s not a few days before classes start 😏
Good for required items like software codes (eg. Mathlab) and scantrons. Textbooks and many other things can be bought for less elsewhere.
Kinda slow at times, but good food
Always great my gfs books are always ready and available
Definitely check for cheaper books online or in another store before making a purchase here, employees are helpful and nice, good selection of backpacks and headphones, pretty good school supplies selection, and decent food/drink selection at the typical over-priced convenience store pricing.
With no indication whatsoever, you cannot return certain. Items. Went in to buy safety glasses, walked out and immediately back in to return them because I realized I did not need them. Would not take them back. Prices are awful. Might as well go somewhere else to buy the same cheap material.
I was able to find all that I needed.
Bought something tried to return in original condition with receipt and couldn’t get refund because I didn’t have the tags and that is nowhere to be found on the refund policy
Kinda small, but has everything you need and the employees do their bestUpdate: the SUPERVISOR is rude to customers, actively avoids answering the phone, and when he does, he hangs up on customers!!
Its a book store. So anything above that makes it special.
People are friendly and my online order was ready for pick up.
This place is a rip-off. $4 for 100 sheets of notebook paper! I didnt pay that much for a re of paper at Walmart!
Good service
Expensive. Nice service, nice people.
Convenient and fast
Great Service
I HATE dealing with this college bookstore.
Its expensive 😣
Great service
