Bait Shack Marine did a wonderful job taking care of our issue with our motor. We called from the lake, brought the boat down and Brandon looked at the motor quickly when we arrived. He gave us a reasonable time frame and completed the job in exactly the time stated. He was fair, honest and thorough with our particular situation. He followed up several times to make sure were satisfied with the performance of the motor and the quality of the repair. We are extremely satisfied and highly recommend Bait Shack Marine.

I have been very impressed, when possible they have allowed me to make an appointment for servicing my Mercury Outboard. In most cases this has meant not having to leave the boat overnight which is a big deal for a bass boat and all the electronics and gear that is stored on the boat. I trust Brandon’s opinion, and trust his business to provide quality work. Brandon also took the time to go to bat for me with Mercury on a warranty repair.

Bait Shack Marine owner Brandon Dockery is a fisherman, a competitive bass angler who understands what it means to be without your ride when a big tournament lies a week away. My recent experience with him was above and beyond anything I expected. He and the guys at Bait Shack Marine even worked with my insurance agent to secure the claim I was making after hitting something just under the surface (Brandon drove to Atlanta to pick up the new lower unit!!!), and he had my boat ready for me in time for a practice day before the tourney.I recommend Bait Shack Marine even if you have to drive a little ways to get there. They embody the care and quality of service that has made Bass Cat Boats - and their dealers - the best in the industry.

They worked with my insurance company to ensure everything was taken care of quickly! Every time I’ve had any dealings with Bait Shack Marine it has been great! I would recommend anyone looking for a good, honest, and quick boat marine, give the staff at Bait Shack Marina a chance... you won’t be disappointed!

Brandon and his staff were able to fit my fish finder installation into their schedule during the busy season and I am very happy with the result. My boat (Yamaha AR230 - Jet Drive) is a bit challenging for the fish finder installation and proper location of the transducer and Brandon walked me through the process and presented options for the installation. They even fixed a few issues on the boat without charging extra. Glad to have located a boat mechanic that I trust.

When I placed the call into the company and shared that I had overheated my engine and possibly lost my impeller, the owner requested I bring it in. When I arrived the owner, Brandon, promptly took time to listen to my issue and empathize with my situation. Knowing that I had family coming from out of town, he felt he might be able to work me.My repair would require the engine be pulled in order to get to the component that had failed.Unfortunately he was not able to get to the boat in time for my family gathering. And, though we were able to rent a boat elsewhere, we had left our ski and boating supplies on the boat. As the business was closed I had no way of accessing their property to get to my stuff.I made the call hoping that I could reach someone who could help. I shared my need and they responded by making a trip from their house (45 minutes each way) to let me in the gate. They are very personable with how they handle their customers and try to do what is right to meet their customers expectations. In my case I am grateful that they went one step further.

I dropped off our pontoon boat at Bait Shack Marine to have the motor checked out, expecting the carburetor to need cleaning. I was told it would be completed in three weeks as they were already running a heavy load of customers getting ready for summer. After two weeks I received a call from Brandon to let me know how things were going. The fuel lines were deteriorated and the rubber from the lines had gotten into the fuel system and he had to clean it out. He got the boat completed on time and the motor is now running better than it has since we bought the boat. We took it out on the lake and the kids were completely impressed with how much better it runs. Im impressed as well, but the kids are the most vocal about it; they were yelling and having a blast. Great week at the lake for Spring Break. Thanks Brandon.

Asked Marty and his staff to take my 18 year old Boston Whaler in for repair and to help me find a trailer for it. It hadnt run in two years and was in need of some serious repair work. Many people wouldnt tackle an 18 year old engine but Bait Shack did. They have expert technicians who did encounter difficulty in the repair but they kept in communication with me about it which was very refreshing. Not only did they stay in communication with me but they stayed on the repair until they got it right. Did I say right? Not only right but it runs as good now as it did 18 years ago. Fantastic. On top of that, they custom built a trailer for me rather than sending me out to find one on my own. Now thats what I call excellence in SERVICE!These folks are not only excellent at what they do, but reliable and trustworthy as well. Did I mention really nice too. Really enjoyed doing business with them. They were up front about costs which were very reasonable and fair. Most importantly, they did what they said they would and I couldnt be more pleased.Unlike so many other service establishments, they communicate with you and you can talk directly with the technician who is doing the work, not just the service manager or the owner. All including the owner treat you like they care about you as a customer and appreciate your business. Great experience. I liked doing business with them and will continue to do so as needs arise.

Forgive me for writing so much, I just need to get it off my chest.I love boating and being on the water. Three years ago I bought a boat at an auction in Nashville and brought it back to Atlanta to begin the restoration process. Ill spare all of the details but you can imagine that it taking 3 years, there are plenty of other mini stories about this boat and my 3 years restoring it.Fast forward to March 2017 and Im probably the happiest Ive been in a long time as the boat was finished and pulled into my slip at the marina. From that day until the day before Memorial Day I spent virtually all of my free time at my boat. My friend Gino installed an amazing sound system and we loved jamming out for sure, Even bought some fishing poles and became a pretty darn good caster (note: not fisher,ha!). Could go on and on but the point is that the boat brought my kids and me a whole lotta happiness. Then the Sunday before Memorial Day, the kids and I were in our favorite Cove all day, stereo cranked and floating in the water. GREAT DAY, until the boat wouldnt start again (again, Ill spare you the nightmare of dealing with Bait Shack Marine and getting us back on the lake) Seven weeks later back on the lake with another new engine. Well the engine blew our first day out, then the 3rd new engine blew while BAIT SHACK MARINE was testing it prior to delivering back to our slip. At this point I brought the only part that I had originally supplied back to the machine shop that built it for me. Hoping and praying that this was not the culprit, as it would have voided the warranty on the new engine. I explained what had been going on with the engine breakdowns and asked if he thought there was any chance that this intake manifold could be the problem. Without any hesitation he said yes this is 100% the problem; showing me that someone BAIT SHACK MARINE removed the gasket from the intake manifold with a grinder or polisher of some kind (instead of scraping with a razor). He went on to say that the engine would continue to hydrolock (blow) because the ports were rounded down in several areas and the gaskets would never seal properly. BAIT SHACK MARINE refused to pay for the new intake manifold and I wasnt going to waste anymore of the summer now that we knew the problem, so I bought another myself.Ok so finally engine number 4 is installed and ready to be delivered back to our slip at the marina. It was a Friday and the kids and I were just waiting on the call that it was ready so we could head up to the boat after work, you can imagine we are so anxious to have another great time on the lake. Finally I get the call from Brandon at BAIT SHACK MARINE and he says Ive got some bad news; we were on the way back to the shop to wash the boat before delivering it to you and the boat came off the trailer and is currently in the middle of Hwy 53. A wrecker is on the way to get it off the road.I asked how and he said they didnt strap it down because it was just a short distance back to their shop.Ya know, since totaling my boat not even an apology from BRANDON at BAIT SHACK MARINE. I dont understand people anymore, I just dont.Well, my friend Gary on my tennis team helped me Monday removing that great stereo that Gino installed and the personal contents. A final slap in the face from BAIT SHACK MARINE was the insulting offer we got from their insurance company. So I called my insurance provider, looks like they will settle up soon. RIP BOAT!
