I had found that Goodbike had the rear brake set I needed for my Cannondale. I called to secure them and was quoted a price of $169. They further inquired as to whether I needed the front as well and I advised I only needed the rear. Somebody in the background piped up stating they were not willing to separate the front and rear set. And I was advised I would have to purchase both or no sale. I emphasized I only needed the rear. And got a snarky reply Well if you change your mind you know where to find them. And was promptly Dismissed.

Great bikes thereA little pricey

Took my Schwinn here when I broke the front brakes. The owners were straight forward and honest. Got my bike back the same week and its worked great since. Paid what they quoted me. Will definitely come back here if I need to.

Went to good bikes to purchase a three wheel tricycle for my wife. Went in and talk to the staff and they had none in stock and said they probably wouldn’t have any for a little while at least till March. At that point they recommended another bike shop that may have them so I went to the other bike shop and was able to purchase the three wheel trike but thanks to good bike in Gainesville I didn’t have to shop all over or get something online thank you for a great customer service.

Compared to my experience with other bike repair shops in Gainesville, my favorite has to be Good Bike! The staff are professional, thorough, and transparent. The pricing is fair and discussed up front so you don’t have any big surprises. It felt like I was riding a new bike after they tuned and did some repairs on my road bike! I’ll definitely be coming back.

These folks are always great to work with and give great, knowledgeable service on your bike! I just called within about 30 minutes of when they were closing to get my tire fixed, and they said “Yep bring it on over will do it for you.” And they did! You don’t get that kind of service just anywhere!

Fair prices, nice people.

They fixed my bike over the weekend and were extremely efficient with the turnaround time which I greatly appreciated as this is my mode of transportation to work. My rear break wore out and they were able to replace it. They (employe was Kyle) offered me a better part than the original quote but called me first to see if I wanted it since it was more expensive, which I greatly appreciated. My breaks have been working great the past two weeks now and it is riding well again.

I dont normally write reviews. I really enjoyed my time at Goodbike. Robbie was super helpful and even made sure the bike was setup for my weight prior to test riding. I also met the owner Mike briefly, honestly the first bike shop owner that has ever given me the time of day. This is a great bike shop. Good prices for high quality bikes. They are super helpful with figuring out the best bike for you. They stand by their bike sales with free maintenance in the first year. They also have longer hours than most bike shops. I just got a repair this morning. I was in and out in a few minutes and on my way to work.

I rented a bike from this shop on Saturday morning and experienced fantastic customer service from the very beginning. Because the staff took the time to adjust the rental bike specifically for me my riding day was awesome! Got my bike tuned up here a few days ago and it rides great! The guys who work here are super friendly and the service was really fast. It was less expensive than tuneups that I have gotten at a bike shop in mid-town, and they noticed an extra thing that needed to be adjusted and called to make sure I was ok with the charge. The location just off of the bike trail is convenient.

The gentlemen at Goodbike were incredibly helpful on my search for a bicycle. Not only did they show me products across the board, but they were really great about teaching me terms without being condescending and showing me options without being pushy. When I left without making a purchase, they didnt treat me like a lost cause, they just acknowledged that I wasnt ready to buy that day, and gave me a kind farewell.

This is the best bike shop Ive seen around.The staff are friendly, and easy to get along with. If you need to fix your bike, check here first. They do repairs for cheap, and they do it right. If you are looking for a bike to buy, it depends. If you are looking for sole transportation to and from short distances, then it would be better to go to the pawn shop. If you are looking for something recreational, sporty, fun or easygoing to ride, then this is the place.This is my absolute favorite part about going here: you can get a new innertube purchased and installed for just $12.00!If youd rather just put it on yourself, then buy the tube for $6.00Even though I know how to put on another tube, Id rather pay the extra $6.00 for labor instead of taking the time to take off the rim, take off the tire, clean the tire, check the rim for particles or abrasives, put the tube in the tire, put the tire on the rim, put the rim on the bike, and fill it with air.Overall, you should really check this place out!

Just got my bike tire replaced here today and I had such a great experience. The prices were very fair and I expected to have to come back in an hour or two but they replaced the tire and fixed a few other small things that were wrong with my bike that I didn’t even notice in about 10 minutes!

Always do a great job of tuning up my Electra Townie. I highly recommend them for honest, good work. Have never tried to rip me off by doing extra work that wasnt needed. Excellent location as well.

The friendliest and most honest bike shop in town. Recently did a tour of bike shops around town for service and sales - had hit-or-miss interactions. I come here for bike service. Ive had a bike assembled and have had multiple tune ups performed quickly (within 24 hours, sometimes within a day) and deftly. The guys are always kind and conversational. Feels like a true neighborhood shop.This location is closing soon and they will permanently move to their second location at 210 NW 10th Ave.

Im very happy with my experience at Goodbike! Its nerve-wracking making a big purchase like this, but Ship listened to what I wanted, gave me options, let me try out lots of models, and never pressured me. Ill never go anywhere else.

I have been coming here for years, and this used to be an excellent bike shop. Lately, not so much.I took my bike in to have several things done, and when I went to pick it up, they had not done two of them right. Then, they told me I needed a new shifter mechanism, and quoted me $30 installed. When I went to pick my bike up, the bill was $55. The owner told me quite rudely that his employee had made a mistake and I had to pay the $55.He even told me it was MY fault for not getting the quote in writing... that he doesnt trust anyone, and I should not trust him. Ill never go in Mr. Bad Bike again!I do not patronize businesses where I need to count my fingers after shaking hands.

I bought a great bicycle at a decent price from these guys. What you save in price, however, you lose in service. I felt like the salesmen were concerned simply with taking my money; they were not all too interested in helping me make a purchase decision. Maybe I place too much emphasis on the service, but I really was disappointed by the staffs first impression on me.

What a horrible experience, management is awful!!!! I went there and had a chain put on my bike, no big deal, they told me I needed a cassette too which was true, so I asked them to order it for me and I would hire them to put it on. I go back one week later and they forgot to order it... I still offered them the work and they said it would be in in one more week. I go in today and asked the owner if he remembered me, I gave him a tip for fixing my chain so I thought there might be a chance. He said no, not at all What do you want I reminded him and then he went back to playing on his computer. I just graduated and Im leaving so they wont be getting my business anyway, just dont want other students to be treated like this.

(My disclaimer) Ive worked with a couple employees at Goody in the past. This is a great shop if youre an avid rider. If youre into mountain biking then this is really the place to be for weekly rides (if youre a roadie then theyll fix your stuff to). Their staff is very knowledgeable and on the straight and narrow when it comes to repairs. They wont sugar coat things if you bring them in a disaster, but theyll for sure try their best to get to your budget. This shop also has fairly decent selection of used bikes. You wont be disappointed stopping in and saying hi to Gus, Mike, Will, or Aaron. These guys will get you setup with what you need!

The guy with the beard at the counter was rude. Also, we were told the repair cost would be $35, but got charged $55 at the pick up.

All the other shops in Gainesville are run/employed by overcharging bike snobs (looking at you Spincycle and Recycled Bikes). The dudes at Mr Goodbike know their stuff but are down to earth. Their prices are good and they will take care of your bike very quickly.Backed hard.

This stores return policy is unacceptable. I tried to return an unopened, unused chain breaker that I purchased with my credit card, and they refused to refund me. They only offered me store credit, which is useless to me. This policy is outdated and ridiculous.
