After having a great experience with them while shopping around suggested this place to my husband for repair, first time there we spent 100 dollars and felt comfortable knowing that they told us we would not need to come back in for awhile, a week passed a tire went flat so of course frustrated but tried to give them another chance waited a week did not hear an update on service which is not how a company should run, unfortunately have to take my bike to another place, wish service were better

After having my bike serviced 6 months ago, I got my sons bike serviced as well. Reasonably priced and bikes are good as new.

They did an excellent job of replacing the broken crank on my Hyper Skocker. They said they would have it finished by the end of the day and it was.

My wife takes her bicycles here quite often for maintenance or repair and she always has good customer service. I myself went to look at a couple of bikes as I was intrigued. Paul was great letting me test ride one, coached me on how to change gears etc. I have not ridden a bicycle in 20yrs. He didn’t laugh at my awkwardness on a bicycle, which was obvious. Excellent customer service hands down. 👍

In all my years of biking, this is the best shop I’ve ever had the pleasure of using for buying, and repairing bicycles. The owner is involved in all aspects of his business; is focused on finding ways to satisfy demanding customers; and enjoying the whole spectrum of business ownership. His entire staff also seem to truly enjoy their jobs; and dealing with customers. I’ll bet you will also be glad you shopped here too.

They are a good, and concerned company? And they genuinely care about each one of their customers? They really do care about safety! I am afaid l no longer feel good about using this particular bike shop. Due to the fact they have been rude? I used to feel very good about their work? I am also greatly appreciate the fact they allowed me to pay them once a month? Due to the fact that,s when l,m paid? I tried to thank them,many times with food and cakes? What made me feel that they didnot care much about my safety? Was when the one hand brake l had on this bike was going out? I recall paul didnot take it back to shop for repair? I insisted? Because frankly? I don,t want to be hurt again in a bycycle accident? Though l paid him every time of the bill? I have to say? I don,t feel good about doing business with them for any reason . l don,t think anyone wants to be treated rudely? I certainly don,t? I remain grateful for their help? But l refuse to go back? I simply have much too hard a time? I don,t need anymore grief? EVER. I hope they will take the time to remember? I treat people like l want to be treated? Maybe they could learn that too? It might save them one more good paying customer as the end result? I sincerely hope so .

And they are so honest and fair minded, really looking for ways to keep the cost down without sacrificing quality of parts or their workmanship. Helpful and easy to deal with.

I visited the store on Saturday to buy a rear axle and additional ball bearings for my bicycleI. While their I was told by the staff that their repair shop was too busy, and to leave my name and number along with the part I had removed from my bicycle so they can measure the thread gap, and they will call me back on Tuesday. To replace the rear axle is a common repair, so the part is standardize and kept in stock buy most bicycles repair shops and to measure the thread pitch is usually done using a small tool that takes seconds to do not four days.

Holy Moose! I am super impressed with this establishment. I took my friend there to get his tricycle fixed. My friend is a special guy and on a limited income. The technician James was amazing. Though he was unaware of my friends limited income he did not try to up-sell him with unnecessary items.My friend was very curious about the work on his tricycle. James provided him with a chair so he could watch and ask questions. James was very patient and answered all of my friends questions. If you have a bike in need of repairs I recommend this shop. If you have a special friend with a bike in need of repairs, I really really really recommend this shop.

I bought a Biria Diamond ebike from these folks, its the best bike Ive ever owned!

My wife and I took our Lemonds bikes in for a much needed overhaul. We had not rode this bikes for over 10 years and we did not properly store them as well. Yes, shame on us! However they got our bikes back to almost new condition, they ride beautifully. Really a great and knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend them for your cycling needs.

Went on 11/21/2018 and this placed fixed the mistake another bike shop created and gave me useful tips to keep my bike spiffy. Great service. Great price! They stopped what they were doing just to help me. (I disagree with the one person who gave a 1 star review and I sent a request to Google to have it removed due to its inaccuracy)

Friendly staff and never intimidating as they are very helpful.A few months ago, after I finally decided to change my slick bike tires (used to do mini triathlons) for some wider general purpose street tires, I Google bike shops and decided to visit Bikes & More on a Saturday. First off, upon entering the premise, I was greeted by two gentlemen. One of them immediately came over and ask how he could help. I described what I was seeking and he introduced me to another staff who was working over the repair area. This staff was happy to stop what he was doing and went over a selection of tire options with me. Since it was a Saturday (closed on Sunday), I informed the staff that I will leave my bike and will pick it up on Monday and to take their time. Not long after I left the premise, the staff called me back to let me know that it was done!! Great friendly staff and highly recommended. This is now my go to bike shop in Gainesville.

Before I even start, if you dont know anything about bicycles and you are looking for a place to gain some solid foundational knowledge, Bikes & More is truly the place to go.I bought a busted looking vintage road bike on Craigslist in hopes that it could be fixed up, and Bikes & More was already recommended to me by my friends. As soon as you walk in, you can tell that everyone was pretty passionate about bicycles (one employee even returned a stolen bike to one of their customers).Gabby took a look at this busted bike I brought in and explained to me clearly what needs to be done, why its necessary and how much it would be with every explanation being very thorough. I feel that this sort of helpful demeanor is shared amongst the people who work at Bikes & More. Unfortunately the bike was too big, so I could not get it fixed up for myself. Gabby took the extra time to explain every other alternative option that I could possibly have and was very patient with me while during my frustration. With this being said, if you are truly looking for a dependable and trusting place to look for a bike or get yours fixed/tuned up, I highly recommend this place.My new bike and I have found a permanent establishment for all of the future help/maintenance I would need. I’m so glad I stopped in here today! I have a cargo bike that I needed to take with me to a camping festival, but it had been “sitting up” to put it mildly. Things were rusty and my brakes were not safe. James wasn’t gonna let me leave the store on an unsafe bike. The guys were patient as my daughter and I just hung out while they worked. I enjoyed seeing all the different kinds of bikes there were for sale, something for every budget! Pricing was moderate and fair. Customer service A++

Great shop and people, however, ordering a bike went from a “two week” time frame to 6 actual weeks. I was told they would call me when the bike had a shipping number, that never happened. Was told they didn’t know what was taking so long and or why it hadn’t shipped out, never got a call back when I would call and ask about it, either. Was also told I would be called when it came in, that didn’t happen. Was told my bike was ready and when I went to pick it up, hours later, it wasn’t ready. The only reason this isn’t a one star review is because if they have the items in the shop they are very helpful and knowledgable. I wish I didn’t have a horrible experience with purchasing this bike because I need to rebuild my other bike and have zero trust in ordering food anything from them.

After an initial miscommunication this shop has come through wonderfully. With extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff I didnt feel intimidated to ask even the most basic questions. They successfully recommended a bike that perfectly fit my budget, size, and desired use. They were able to make some simple adjustments to the stock bicycle to much better fit my dimensions. I enthusiastically recommend them for all your cycling needs!

Paul and his staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I had crashed my bike and bent the front fork. Paul fixed it (it was a pretty big repair) and tuned up my bike for cheaper than what my budget limit was. He was great and had it back to me in less than a week. Highly recommend getting your bike work done here!

Ive really enjoyed taking my bike here for the past several months. Everyone that works here is really friendly, casual, and welcoming. Seriously, top-notch customer service! Theyre knowledgeable about bikes and VERY willing to share what they know! Its like walking into a library... of bikes... and bike knowledge... and if libraries allowed dogs. For someone who is kind of just getting into cycling, its really valuable that they dont make me feel like my dumb questions are dumb:)When I thought the price of something wasnt right, they were reasonable and worked with me to ensure that I remained a satisfied customer.

I live in the neighborhood so I guess Im somewhat biased. It is so amazing to have such a great bike shop so close by. I bring my old crappy commuter in and they gladly tune it up even though they are working on a fancy top of the line bike in the stand right next to it. One day I came in to ask for a part for my lawn mower and they were willing to give me some of their time. All the staff is just the right amount of friendly, courteous, and seem very honest. I couldnt ask for anything more out of a bike shop. Thank you!!!

Fantastic, was on a tour and kept having trouble with my rear wheel. These guys set me up with a great new wheel for a great deal and helped me out with some other problems to get me back on the road. Decent prices And Kind

Went in for the standand tire change. Got the endless hard sale not by pointing out nice new models of bike but by berating my bike which has been excellent for 4 years. Saying its cheap and new ones dont cost that much. Really shows the a lack of tact and an appalling disinterest in the experience of the customer .

I texted and made an offer to this person based on others of the model I found that sold for cheaper. The person who listed these posts on craigslist are posting Multiple Ads as a private seller and not mentioning they are a business to avoid the dealer costs to list on craigslist ($3 apiece). I was barraged with a responses, and sarcasm because I offered something less than the overpriced bicycle. I understand it is overpriced to make profit for the business, but that is why I am searching and calling upon Private sellers instead of dealers to find the good deal. Its Not always a set price just because you say it is. The more you try the better deals you will find from private sellers, especially in gainesville with all the uni.Edit from response: this was your shop selling these bikes, same number as one listed on google and told me your location over phone. Even responded with why you use private ads to save money. Response was many months after posting review.

I purchased a surly troll for a touring trip I have coming in the next two years. I looked for this bike around where I live in Tampa, FL, no shop had a bicycle my size for me to try. After an internet search bikes and more was recommended along with another two shops in Orlando which is closer to where I live. After calling bikes and more and talking with Paul, I was sold in making the two hour trip and back to see and test drive the bike. Paul and Chris and all the staff were terrific, everyone was willing to answer any questions I had, nothing but helpful information, no pressures no gimmicks no hassles, I loved the fact that not only these guys sell a bicycle but the live and breed bicycle. After test riding and Surly Ogree and decide it to make the purchase .They took all my measurements and gave me a recommendation that was dead on. I have to say the whole process has been tremendously satisfying and the price for the whole bicycle build up has been more than reasonable. After the seat post (along with the seat) was stolen off my Giant FCR 3, I called around town to price a replacement. As it turned out, Bikes and More had the best prices for what I needed of anyone in town. Like many of the posters here, my knowledge of bikes is limited to how to ride one. As I was waiting for the seat installation, I quizzed the folks there about what Im sure is the most basic of bike knowledge. They were helpful, and didnt make me feel like an idiot. When doing the installation, they spotted a potential safety problem with the front wheel. Explaining that I was short on cash to get the best fix, they honestly suggested an alternative for a few bucks instead of trying to push the up sale. Fast, Friendly, Professional, and Honest plus the best prices in town!

Great service with a quick turnaround.

Came in thinking we knew what we wanted but werent sure. They asked what our purpose for the bikes were, and then explained the best type of bike and tire, in depth, for what we would be using it for. Didnt try to push a sale, reccomended bikes but didnt discourage us from exploring all the bikes in the store. They patiently answered our relentless questions about anything and everything bike related. Looking around the store you see people fixing bikes and talking to customers, its such a friendly and community-oriented atmosphere. We were there for a while asking questions and looking at bikes, and we saw people ride up on their own bikes and walk them right inside to talk to an employee or for maintenance or a question. Its such a judgement free place, and so welcoming. The bikes are a little pricey (turns out they are everywhere else though too when you dont shop at Walmart for bikes). If you are in a position to invest in a good bike, I would reccomend you do so, especially here. Not only are they friendly but they are very focused on matching you with the perfect bike for your needs, and setting you up to make sure it lasts you a lifetime.
