Its a taproom with dozens of beers. If thats your thing, this is your place. Whats not to like? Great atmosphere, fun crowd, excellent selection of beer (and wine), and even the option of taking your brew to go and walking down the sidewalk or sitting in the park. Theres literally no reason why you shouldnt check this place out. Youll be glad you did.

Super cool place to hang out & have a beer. The employees were very nice. Black Sabbath was playing & a Friday the 13th movie poster was hanging on the wall. Who could ask for anything better? Plus, they are dog friendly! My Pomeranian, Joker, loved it too. He devoured his Frosty Paw. Thanks again for a fun experience. 😃💀

What a vibe check. Downtown Drafts is the perfect spot for hanging out anytime of the day or week. You will always find this place packed because of the friendly staff, drink options, and games. Whether youre looking for a gift for a friend, a spot to meet up with friends, or just want to try a new beer, they do it all. Downtown Drafts allows dogs and offers to go cups so you can walk the park with your drink. Over the past year of living in Gainesville, Downtown Drafts has been a staple in our social lives. Throughout Covid, I could count on their staff and safety measures to keep everyone safe and having fun. I dont currently have any pictures because the drinks seem to disappear before I can take one. However, I HIGHLY recommend their frozen mimosas and local brews.

This place is a great place to try new beer, you can buy a flight or a half pint and then get a growler to go. The staff is super knowledgeable and love beer too so they can help you find beer that suit your palate. Downtown drafts also has more of a meeting place feel not a bar so dont be intimidated about going in you will meet all types here and probably make some new friends.

Great atmosphere, got a wine slush and it was amazing! We played a few of the many games they have available for guests to play. I love the laxed vibes and convenient location of Downtown Drafts! Highly recommend!

Downtown Drafts has an excellent selection of draft needs, wines, ciders, and more. Their staff is friendly and accommodating and more than willing to give recommendations. The atmosphere is great, and they provide party games to play. I love that they encourage outside food... A wonderful establishment! :)

The staff are very friendly... they remember and ask how you liked your past purchases, they make recommendations that are spot-on, and they seem to enjoy talking beer. Huge selection on tap for pints, half-pints, or growler fills. Great selection of canned craft beers in 4 (or 6) packs, and also available as singles so you can try different brews. A couple of TVs inside, and a great sidewalk outdoor seating option. Great location on the square, too.

This is one of my favorite spots. Great service and always an incredible selection of beer and wine. My husband and I always have a good time when we come here and bring friends. Super cool place with exceptional rotating taps. Owner and staff are very cool and welcome to offering recommendations. Only negative would be the prices. 8oz glass off a seasonal Porter was $8. Not sure why the are so high compared to nearby bars. Love this place though!

This place has a great atmosphere and high energy. They have a ton of events that make it easy to visit and have a good time. Their selection of beers and wines is extensive and with flights available, you can sample quite a few with friends while you sit outside and enjoy the square or sit inside and play some board games. Downtown Drafts is a staple of the downtown community, so stop by and enjoy a drink before or after dinner or shopping.

Great service and a ton of amazing beers and wines in the middle of quaint town square. Staff is quite knowledgeable about their beers, too. I cant remember the IPA that I had, but it was definitely on my list of faves (if only I could remember). We tried the watermelon beer but for me, it was too sweet. Refreshing, but sweet.

Went to trivia night with friends for the first time last week. Had a really good time. Id call it cozy. Its located on the square. They do not serve food, but you can bring your own. A nice, laid back place to meet up with friends and have a few drinks.

Gainesville has some really weird ordinances when it comes to serving alcohol so you cant get full size beers, but flights are a great option that lets you try four of their beers in small quantities and they have A LOT of different beer. Id definitely try this place first out of all the places on the square if you like beer and want a laid back atmosphere. They also offer take-home growlers of any beer off the board!
