They are great and I highly recommend! Ive gone to the dealership twice for these issues and another mainly used import place and I can honestly say I will only be using them in the future. They didnt break my bank and were very helpful! So glad I found them!

Had my turbo go out on 2006 T1N sprinter, drove it for too long after and thought I did real damage. Star Import Services was able to get it in right away and Josh (their resident sprinter expert) was able to replace the turbo and give the whole engine a careful look. He seemed extremely knowledgeable and was happy to explain everything to me. Although I prefer to do my own maintenance, I will not hesitate to bring the truck back here next time something happens above my pay grade, hard to find a shop that really knows sprinters.

Had an appointment with Mercedes Benz on June 14, 2021 to check tire pressure and front door lock actuators for my 2008 C300. It cost me $209.72 to check the door locks to find out they both needed to be replaced. Parts $705.12 and labor $1,720.88 total $2,641.68. I did not do the repair, however I did find parts cheaper using the Mercedes Benz website. I also found a Mercedes Benz repair company in Gainesville (Star Import Service) they have been in business since 1984 and ONLY SERVICE MERCEDES BENZ. I had both actuators repaired for $1,214.20 total! $405.00 parts, $809.20 labor. Using OEM PARTS! I checked. I also had other repairs completed that Mercedes Benz recommend at a fraction of the cost. I strongly recommend not using Mercedes Benz for repairs as they gouge you on the cost of parts and labor. They are all nice and you do get a (free) cup of coffee but where the rubber meets the road its savings that count!

100% satisfied with this company. I was driving my 2007 Mercedes C230 back from NY and my wheel bearing detonated on I75. I had to pull off immediately and after reading reviews I called Star Import and spoke with Josh. I was able to get a hotel for the night and had the car towed to Star and went on my way back to Tampa. I had to wait a week (for parts) but Josh kept communication open regarding the repairs and they were able to keep the price of repair way, way below the dealership cost. I now have my car back, running excellent. This business is professional, very reasonable for repairs and close to the highway. Definitely worth driving 2 hours from Tampa to have our cars serviced from now on. -Frank

I felt I was overcharged being I was from out of town they werent to detailed on what was wrong with my car however its running but way over priced should of just brought it to Mercedes because they charge just like the dealer if not worse....

Star Imports is the only service center for my Mercedes! We have been taking our three Mercedes to Star Imports for years. They are honest, professional, and ethical. Prices are very fair, and much cheaper than the dealership. They do business the old fashion way!

I use Star exclusively for my 06 S500. Rick is an especially talented technician with a lot of experience. He handled the replacement of the cars tranny and its been perfect. Josh is also very good; I usually get him for the regular maintenance type stuff. Everyone there has always been willing to spend as much time as necessary to explain whats going on with the car, answer questions and discuss repair options. Theyre as interested in doing the job right without overspending as I am. That said, these are Mercedes, and parts and labor arent cheap.A very trustworthy shop with good customer service and an excellent reputation. I would not hesitate to recommend Star.

I consider myself a hardcore Mercedes enthusiast, and I highly recommend Frank and his team if you have a Mercedes and live within 50 miles of Star...its worth the trip. Frank did a pre purchase inspection on a 560SL for me. I was out of state and unable to make the trip to view the car. I knew the minute he began discussing the infamous timing chain guides on the M117+M116 that I was in good hands. (You may not understand this as a normal consumer, but trust me...they know what they are working on, and the PRICES are really fair).

I was extreamley pleased would recommend them to my friends.

They take the time to explain what is truly wrong and help your prioritize what needs to be taken care of as opposed to trying to sell you on all sorts of repair services. They are also very comfortable referring you to another Mercedes svc provider when they are unsure

This is the second time I have called on STAR Import Services for help. My wife had a Mercedes E320 that the official dealership gave us the wrong transmission oil for and STAR Import Services fixed everything after the dealership said it was our fault for not paying them to service the vehicle! Recently an employee spilt oil and gas on the backseat of my Mercedes GLS450 and again STAR Import Services were there, stripped the area down to clean and decontaminate and bring my interior back to new. Very friendly people, I couldnt ask for more.
