Absolute best shop in town! We had them go over our Tahoe top to bottom. New ac, brakes, tires, trans service, oil change, new instrument cluster, they did it all! They got it done in a fair amount of time & UNDER my budget!! They will continue to be my only mechanic.

I had one of my best auto repair experiences at Holton Automotive. My friend recommended them and i drove 300 miles based on his opinion. It was worth every mile. Quinn and Sharon were awesome as was their team. Not only did they fix my car a/c, but replaced a few things they could see were worn out. They were professional, helpful and plain wonderful. When i told them i was moving closer to them, they suggested a few good repair shops near my new house, in case i didnt think i could get my car up to them. Ive been taking my vehicles to Holton for years. They are the most honest and caring mechanic shop Ive ever been to. I usually have to book an appointment a few weeks out - theyre so busy because theyre THAT GOOD! During my most recent trip, they forgot to mention something that needed repaired. When I inquired a few days later, they made it right immediately in a big way, as any quality business would. Theyre not out just for the dollars, they seem to truly care about their work and their customers. As long as Im in the Gainesville area, I will never take a vehicle anywhere else. I had my key lug nut for my Lexus was lost... My brakes needed to be fixed I stopped by Hilton exspecting to pay a a few hundred dollars to remove my keyed lug nuts but they did it for free I cant explain how nice of them it was for them to do that best shop in Gainesville

Just wanted to sincerely thank Sharon and the team at Holton Automotive for the excellent service and courtesy they extended my daughter when she had car trouble. Their pricing was very reasonable and they genuinely cared about fixing it correctly, quickly and not over charging. In fact if I recall correctly, the bill was actually LESS than the estimate they provided before beginning the work.

This review is long over due. Ive been a customer for over 20 years. I started trusting Quinn back in 1997 with my Mazda RX 7. We then moved on to my Miata. After that came my Jeep Grand Cherokee and now my 2007 Corvette. Over the years Ive recommended a bunch of friends to Holton Automotive. Sharon who manages the office and appointments can is friendlly and knowledgeable. Simply put, Quinn is a skilled honest mechanic who stands behind his work.

I took my Lexus, my wifes Saturn and our sons Saturn to Holton Automotive in recent months. All are running like new. Sharon and Quinn are very professional and knowledgeable and do a great job in explaining the needed repairs. I highly recommend Holton Automotive!

For the past 10 years, Ive been taking my car to Holton Automotive--for everything from oil changes to minor and major repairs--and have ALWAYS had great service. The mechanics do a great job: experienced and honest, they diagnose and fix the problem and do so in a timely manner. The price is always fair: not once have I felt like I was being overcharged or taken advantage of (in fact, estimates of repairs have often been lower than what I feared they would be). Its always busy at Holton, but the wonderful manager, Sharon, keeps things running smoothly and sees to it that both cars and customers are well taken care of. In addition to being super friendly (always!) and going out of her way to accommodate customers, Sharon takes the time to explain everything in detail: whats wrong, options for repair, cost estimates, you name it. She knows so much about cars that she could easily be one of the mechanics!! And if the diagnosis includes multiple problems, Sharon is great about discussing them in terms of priorities, for customers who may not be able to afford a huge repair bill (i.e., you really need to fix X now, but Y and Z are less urgent....). If you want your car repaired well and you value great customer service, take your car to Holton! Im glad I did so many years ago when a friend highly recommended it to me.

My car started driving funny and then died when I was pregnant, I was really sick and then had a baby and at the time getting my car fixed wasnt a priority since if I had somewhere to be my husband and I had another vehicle and our schedules made sharing it easy. It got to the point where having two cars would be beneficial, and after having not great luck at another repair place,my friend recommended Holtons. Getting it fixed was a huge fiasco on my part -- there was A LOT wrong, and they dealt with every bump in the road and wrench in the gears as if I had been a customer for years. I told Sharon I dont understand cars and what was wrong, to please talk the technical stuff with my dad and she said she would, but she would also explain it to me so that I did understand, and she did. I had to go in the office a few times during the time they were working on my car and there were always people hanging around, chatting, looking happy. There were muffins out one day, and fruit out another day, and it looked like clients had brought it in to them. It just felt really nice to go in and to be treated as if you are a long time customer, even if its the first time youve been there. My car was finished on a Friday and Sharon called and said come get it, its ready, and then called back and said they had driven it again and there was a little shake that they wanted to check out again because she didnt want my daughter and I to be riding around in something that wasnt necessarily safe. Having them be concerned with our safety is worth every penny spent there. They do great work and wont do a job that they cant stand behind. I hope I dont have to go back, but if my cars need help again then theyre the first place Ill go to.

Have been going to Holton for 9 years now. I have tried about 5 other shops (chains) and was never satisfied.Quinn is very knowledgeable and will get the job done right...have many examples to share. They will let you know what your car really needs and not try to oversell parts and services. Prices maybe slightly more than some other places but there are times I have had stuff quoted a lot more from other places...so really cant complain. I guess it evens out.Also there are times I took my car for advice as I do some work on my own, so thats awesome.

Great service, replaced my bad breaks a while back, now Im going to get my car in for another issue and know they will do a great job. The only downside for Holton is that you need to schedule in advance for most issues because they are always so busy/popular.

Not Happy!!! Took my work service truck in that had brake issue. I knew it was in the rear brakes. Was quoted $45 for brake inspection. but would go towards repair.. Brakes on the rear had been done less then 1000 before.. Before it even hit the lift the mechanic and I both noticed it was a leaking wheel cylinder. Still had them put it on the lift because I was also getting an oil change.. The mechanic pulled the tire and hub off the right rear, as we saw before it even hit the lift it was the wheel cylinder.. I told them to order a cylinder and fix it.. Response was we close in 30 minutes and it will take that long to do the oil change.. so he put the wheel back on and proceeds to do the oil change.. Check out time, the shop charged me for the FULL $45 for a brake inspection, when he only inspected ONE brake.. I could understand if they inspeced the other 3 wheels, but they did not.. Truck was already on the lift for the oil change. removing the wheel and hub took all of 3 minutes.. So even though they would not fix it then, they wanted $225 to do the brake job, remember from above, the rear brake were done less then a 1000 miles before, but, said they had to do them again, just because on cylinder was leaking..Boils down to this! They could have named what ever price they wanted to fix it on spot and I would have paid it, but, took the $45 for just the Inspection but I only got 1/4 of my inspecton. ( its a service truck that needs to stay on the road) With them well knowing they woulld not fix it then and there. They may have gotten $45 from me. but. that $45 has cost them much more then that, as my company will NEVER TAKING another vehicle there EVER, I will also tell anyone who will listen to do the same...She is a VERY POOR service writer with very poor customer service skills..Broadband Services, Inc.
