I don’t think I’ve ever left a review for anything my entire life but this place deserves it. After being rear ended, I brought my car in to be repaired by these guys. Not only did the repair the trunk and make it look like new, but they went above and beyond by touching up another dent I had that had gotten quite rusty and fixed a broken exterior door handle essentially free of charge. They gave me updates on my car every couple of days, we’re timely, professional, and incredibly personable. Got my car back looking like new. I took my car in after the bumper was damaged. The staff was helpful and professional. The work was completed faster than expected and the car looks new again. They also provided a warranty for their work for as long as I own the car.

My front bumper, grille and radiator were badly damaged due to an accident. UCC was a preferred repair shop by my car insurance company which is how I learned about them. After contacting several preferred repair facilities I chose UCC. I am so happy I did. They were professional, courteous and kept me informed throughout the whole process. Not only did they do a great job repairing my vehicle they even returned my SUV to me ahead of schedule. I would highly recommend them without hesitation!

Steve was exceptional to work with. He was honest, polite and extremely professional from the very first visit, including the preliminary estimate visit. In a word, FANTASTC. Both our cars had relatively minor body damages - nothing structural, just cosmetic. On the phone, Sarah was responsive and factual - and very pleasant and helpful in person when I reached there. Within minutes of my arrival, Patrick looked at the cars and said that he would take care of them - for free! And he did - within 15-20 minutes! There was another dent on the back on one of the cars, and that was more substantial. He took it inside and came up with the estimates of around $500 - and then told us that he did not think it was worth it! Sure, I did not spend a penny this time, but I am a customer forever for ANY service they provide. And I will tell every friend of mine about UCC. Business schools should just visit places like these to understand what best-of-breed practices for customer retention look like. Nothing fancy - just basic courtesy, honesty, and good service delivered on time. UCC nails it.

UCC did a great job with all collision repairs on our F150, which were substantial, including the ENTIRE passenger side front to rear. It looks brand new! Frank and crew are excellent at customer service. The business is ethical, fair, and precise in dealing with insurance. My daughter is a UF student and had never had someone hit her truck before, so she was understandably upset. Being out of the area, it was comforting to know UCC treated my daughter very well and reassured her the truck would be back in action as before. 6 years ago University Collision put my Charger back together after a wreck. The job they did was phenomenal. Fast forward to this week- I caught my front bumper on a curb and popped it loose. Without a second thought I reached out to University Collision and they said bring it in. Not only did they get it fixed same day, Frank noticed my tire pressure warning was on and checked my tires and topped them off. Friendly, Professional, Excellent work, Local Family Business. When I got smacked from behind and needed to take my car in for repairs, I had no idea where to go. Ive had a few bad experiences with body shops...not finishing when promised, doing a half way job, or even retuning the car dirty--so I was a bit jaded to say the least. I took a chance on University Collision, primarily on the basis of reviews like Im writing now. From the first interaction with Frank and family, I felt I had made the right choice. When I was early, they met me anyway. They helped with the rental. Frank called with regular updates and completed the job when promised (which was 3 days), as promised. When I asked him, he recommended and even called a detailer. I couldnt be more satisfied--Highly Recommended.

I was very well taken care of by the staff at University Collision Center. My poor little 15 year old Kia Rio clashed with a cement median, rearranging the suspension, among other things. Aside from the forever-downside of the fact that you cant find an auto shop in Gainesville that is open on Saturdays, everything about my experience with UCC was great - theres a reason they are the preferred body shop of most of the big insurance companies. Frank kept me up to date about the status of my repair, and they handled all the paperwork with State Farm, all I had to pay was my deductable. I have a beautiful new hood and working hood latch, and couldnt be happier!

Getting in an accident sucks. Thankfully the staff here are professional, friendly, and do amazing work. We were in a bad accident in late November and everything about it was stressful except for the repairs. Patrick called me with updates on my car often and even went as far as to refer to her by name (Lilith). Like anything with cars, it did take slightly longer than expected but I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of the work done. I would rather it take a little longer to get the job done right and Patrick did an incredible job. If you are in an accident and can send your car here I highly recommend their service.

Stopped in UCC with a rear seatbelt that was stuck, hoping theyd be able to help. Starting with the lady at the desk to the estimator, to the tech that helped everyone was extremely friendly. Frank came out & tried a couple of things before getting one of the Techs to have a look. They decided to pull the back seat bottom and unbolted the seatbelt bracket freeing up the belt and solving the problem! The whole deal took about 15 minutes & all they would except was my thanks! Their services are one of those you hope you never have to use, but they will definitely be my FIRST choice if I ever need any auto body work. Thanks again Frank & staff!

Had a GREAT experience with University Collision Center!! I had a broken door handle on my VW Tiguan that snapped off of the door. I got an estimate at the local VW dealer and they quoted me over $500 to repair and replace the door handle. I took the car to University Collision for another estimate. ( I had all of the broken parts). They repaired the door for me within a few minutes at NO cost. GREAT service and VERY friendly people!! I am very impressed!

I was involved in a deer accident on way to work from another city for the week. Worked with Frank, took the vehicle on the same day and received estimate. They even provided arrangements for rental car pickup. The repairs were scheduled to be done in 4 days, they got it done in 2. Early completion also saved me money with car rental. I had to request for a minor adjustment on the hood latch, Frank did it in 10 minutes on the same day requested. I am still totally satisfied with their service and work. Backed into my brothers car, ended up having University paint both my and his rear bumpers. Their pricing was competitive and the turnaround for the work was 2 days per car, very quick. Paint quality is the same as the original paint and is perfectly color matched.

I highly recommend University collision center. I unfortunately was in an accident around Christmas and needed my bumper reattached. UCC was so wonderful, professional, timely and highly skilled. They were able to reattach the bumper within a couple hours. The car looks better than ever. I will not take my car to anyone else from now on.

Courteous staff, and good results. The only issue I encountered was that they forgot to remove the paint tape from my fuel tank inlet area, which made it very difficult to open my fuel door the first time I got gas afterward. Very happy with the results otherwise.

I took my Mazda RX-8 in to fix my power window. The staff was super friendly, and Patrick gave me a very competitive quote with genuine Mazda parts (regulator). When quoting, Patrick didnt realized that my regulator damaged my power window motor. Because of this mistake, he quickly replaced the additional power window motor for FREE. This shows how much University Collision Center care about their customers. I will only go to them in the future because of their honesty and excellent customer service. I HIGHLY recommend these guys even if other quotes are slightly lower. Easily 5 stars.

I asked for an estimate to repair deep scruff in my rear bumper of my car and Mr. Frank went to the shop and got some kind of magic liquid. He wiped it on and the deep scruff went away. He did not charge me for anything and I appreciate the outstanding customer service. This is the second time that I had my vehicles repaired here and they have been great both time. I had two accidents this summer. Both times I took my car to University Collision on the suggestion of my insurance company. Patricks first question was to ask if everyone in the vehicle was okay. He was very engaging and informative. He was very thorough in explaining the process and how repairs were determined. He stayed in touch throughout the process. I needed new hubcaps, which werent part of the covered service, but he offered to have them installed for me at no charge. His staff touched up the paint in places that werent part of the accident and cleaned the car inside and out. I was very happy with my service, and although I hope to never need University Collisions services again, I will surely seek them out if Im ever in an accident. Great customer service!!

Ive unfortunately had to get the services of a body shop twice in the past year (once rear-ended, once a falling tree branch). The first time, I went here because it was the nearest place that had an agreement with my insurance. The second time I had moved, and my insurance sent me somewhere else. But the difference in service was immediately clear, and I asked to have my claim transferred over to University Collision Center again. I have found them to be very professional, helpful, and easy to work with. Worth the trip to this side of town.

Friendliest staff and most thurough service I’ve experienced when getting work done on my car. Stephen Nichols lead the work on my car. He called multiple times with updates and the work was done before it was promised to be done. Even if you live closer to the other dealerships in downtown Gainesville, I STRONGLY suggest going the extra few miles to a place where your car will get the attention it needs and then some.

My husband and I had our car towed to University Collision Center after a large wood log flew into our windshield when driving on the interstate. The original estimate for repairs was $1195.09 for parts and $210.00 for labor. This included fixing the windshield and the dashboard. We decided to go with an outside dealer for the windshield as they were significantly cheaper. The total cost for the windshield parts was $825.72. Since this was done through an outside company the bill should have been significantly cheaper. I have the original itemized estimate as well as the itemized final bill. The final bill without the windshield being fixed was $1,254.01 and this was only after my husband had to talk them down from an almost $1600.00 bill. When we went to pick up the car the dashboard was still scratched and we were told this was because of the decrease in price. In other words had we paid the $1600.00 then that would have been fixed as well. We also found out when we got home that they never fixed the mileage on the car and we were told specifically that it was taken to the Mazda dealership for this. We have attempted to contact them about this issue and still have not heard back from them. They tried to smooth things over by saying they cleaned the car and made a spare key, two things we never asked them to do. We had been in contact with them several times from when the car was dropped off to point when we picked it up and there was no mention of the significant price increase. I feel that we were taken advantage of in a time when we were already knocked down.

(I didnt realize that I already posted a review. This review is about the same two accidents I had last year! Im not that bad of a driver!) I had to use University Collision twice in a 12 month period. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. The staff was courteous, professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Have used them on three occasions - two with business; one personal. Great work, timely fashion. Recently went by with concern from what I thought were bad scratches on front left fender. A dishonest company could have taken me for several hundred dollars. At no charge, they brought out some solution and a rag and got it all off. Made my day. I highly recommend them.

This place I give O because they has been doing some work before on my car and they has using cheap clear paint and my car paint began to peel-off and was in warranty some area, so I wanted to paint others parts and they gave me estimated, when I take to the shop they check the car and they talk me its going to be more expensive.Already I have an estimated, they give me so many excuses because they dont want to do the job, unless I pay more money regardless one area was on warranty and I have an estimated. So I drove the car out of the shop very offset because I knew that if what force them; theyre not going to doing a good job and more.

Felt out of the loop when it came to my repair. The finished repair date kept getting pushed back, which is typical, but I wouldnt find out about it until I would call to confirm the day of or the day before, only to hear that they needed another week. Would have been better if they just gave me an honest assessment or just called ahead to let me know that they needed more time. This happened three times. Also, my keys were lost, and it for some reason took two days to reprogram a new key. They didnt even realize they had lost my second key (they needed both for the repair), which is frustrating. Overall, they are nice people and did a good job on my car, it just ended up being a very slow and painful process.

Auto accidents are never pleasant. This was my first accident and my car was taken to University Collision. The service I received was excellent. There were a few delays in repair time (none of which were the fault of University) and they made sure that I was properly taken care of while I was without my vehicle. One fateful Monday morning, my husband and I awoke to our neighbor bashfully knocking on our door. It was 6 am and she had backed her car into ours on the way out of our shared driveway. Groan!!!!! Luckily, she was honest and willing to pay for the repair. Even luckier, the damage was only to the surface and the repair was pretty much only painting the bumper. Still, we did our research as we wanted to be sure that it was done right.What sold us on UCC right off the bat was their admission that our bumper would need to be removed in order for the job to be done in a way that would make sure the paint wouldnt peel later. Let me also say that the other chain repair shop told me flat out that they would simply tape off the area that would be painted- and were quoting us at the same price!! We have an Equinox that has rear sensors and a back up camera so this was a very labor intensive job, even if it was just to paint. This was all done for a very reasonable price!These guys are busy, but I think this speaks to how trusted they are by insurance companies and customers alike. I had to wait about 10 days before they had availability to bring in my car. Once it was in, it took about 3 days for the repair to be completed. It looked fantastic, and my car was *completely* detailed. Interior, exterior, tires, the whole shebang. Such a nice and appreciated touch! Not long after I picked it up, I noticed that my back up sensor monitor was saying it needed service- no problem! Took it back in, they reset the computer (oops, couldve fixed that myself) and guess what? DETAILED AGAIN. Wow. Thank you!From start to finish, the UCC team was courteous, professional, and fantastic to work with. Bethany at the front desk is a sweetheart and they offer cold bottled waters while you sit (also are incredibly apologetic if you must wait). Even the technicians are a pleasure. I seriously cannot recommend UCC enough!!

Took my Ford Fusion here for trunk repairs. Not only did it take a week longer than quoted, with multiple calls a day saying its ready to be picked up and Sorry we actually need more time but they lied to my face about repairs. Told me that they could not fix my trunk as the repair was a recall and wouldnt be covered by insurance.Surprise surprise, I call insurance myself, the repair is completely covered. Take my car to Sawgrass Ford and it turns out the idiots at UCC installed my trunk components backwards, and then refused to fix their mistakes.
