Ordered a roof skin late one afternoon. It arrived in perfect condition 4 days later. Even the trucking service that delivered the part was very understanding and professional. Keep up the good work AMD!

Worst Place to Work!! They forget to pay on time, upper management lacks ethics and morals. None of the harnesses in there can pass OSHA requirements. Little to no training on forklifts. There’s alliances and “family ties” within the company so favoritism is a big factor. Be ready to take racial slurs from other co-workers and nothing being done about it. Resumes don’t matter they place you where they want. College degrees on the floor and non-experienced in the office, hence that’s why all the replacements, returns, and bad reviews. Whole place needs more training; HR, Supervisor, and someone to show how to pack properly. They just throw it in a box with little to no protection. I come from other warehouses where they at least show you how to pack but I thought that was common sense to put bubble wrap around some glass lol (Gainesville, Ga Warehouse)

Ordered a new hood for my 68 Torino.Refused delivery because of 2 dents in hood. They shipped me a new one.It took 2weeks to get it. It also is damaged! Corner is dented in.Delivery driver left without me signing for it and inspecting completely.Called AMD now waiting for return call.Not happy! Waiting to see whats going to be done about this . Packaging of their product is terrible.

Very disappointed when I called in about a piece with fitment issues. They simply told me their parts are spot on and there is nothing they can do to help me. I guess theyve got to big to worry about the little guy. I have spent a fair amount of money with them. I would like to continue to, but Ill think twice after a experience like this. I may just sell the projects that require parts I can only get from them and move on.

Thank you Dustin for all your help today. He was friendly and very helpful. We got all the needed parts for the 69 fastback Fairlane .The price was lower than expected. We were striving from the long drive Dustin recommended a great Mexican restaurant when we got back it was ready to be loaned. Thanks again !!

Rude front people and the wait time is beyond. No one comes to the customer parts pick up and they move at their own speed. When I asked JT where I picked up the parts he rudely responded. Then I waited at the customer parts pick up for 48 minutes with my two YOUNG children in the car. Not. Impressed.

Their website lead to a list of incorrect parts when searching. I entered in my car, 70 Monte Carlo, along with the keyword and pressed apply. A list of parts came up and I thought I had found the correct part (lower repair patch for the front fender). The search listed parts for a Monte Carlo but realistically the parts where for a Chevelle. In order for me to get a refund on this part that the search engine lead me to, I am required to pay a 15% restocking fee, loose the $9.95 in shipping to get the part to me, and now additional $10 to ship it back. I spoke to a representative on the phone, which he was very polite, but unfortunately could not assist in any of the money that Ive lost on a part I cant use. My advise it to be careful not to hit apply on their search engine...only hit the spyglass.

I bought a Hood for my 2500hd silverado it came to my house my wife and the driver was looking through the holes in the box but the driver did not put this down . When I took the hood out of the box it had dents all over it and one corner is bent I called Kaitlin from AMD she said my wife signed for it without saying anything about the damaged box so there is nothing they could do .BUT Kaitlin looked up at the trucking company and saw that the box was damaged before it was delivered and still can not do anything this is the worst customer service I have ever seen .It has been two weeks it is going to cost me $400.00 to fix all the dents But I see the owner doesnt care I never heard from him

Supervisor is nice but working there? Youll need 2 gallons of water and 2 shirts, hotter than outside. This is why theres only 3-4 people in the whole warehouse.

The part quality is fine if you can get them without damage. They package parts very poorly. They will arrive with damage. You can call and notify them but they will not change their practices. Very poor customer service. I recommend you find another vendor.

With owning my own auto shop finding parts is a hassle at times, especially when restoring cars. Unfortunately I cant remember who helped me but the whole crew was amazing, and just wanted to say you have a customer for good with me!

Purchased two doors from them none of the Holes for the window tracks line up, The right door looks twisted Left door is 1/8 shorter than The original door now I know why they were cheaper than everyone else must have gotten a bunch of cheap doors from China

The one star rating for Auto Metal Direct is a ...BUYER BEWARE!! rating. I purchased a AMD 2-inch cowl hood for my 83 El Camino from Eastwood. The hood had a bowl of about 1 in. halfway down on the driver side. There was no damage to the primer proving that it was bowed before it was even primered. Undetectable to an untrained eye (mine), it should have been caught by an inspector ( if there even is any ). AMD refuse to make good on the hood because I had signed for it but luckily for me Eastwood stood up and sent me another hood at their expense. Eastwood had my back but I will never buy anything from AMD again, BUYER BEWARE!!

The shipping clerk noticed the city my order was being shipped to. He called me and notified me that I could come pick my order up and save $100.00 . I went on my lunch break and picked up my entire order. I will be using them again.

I purchased bedsides for a 65 chevy short stepside, there was damage or a defect on the top rail of one bedside ( just a note, never sign for items until you pull them from box, truck driver will just have to wait for your inspection). They did give me $100.00 credit for the defect/damage. After painting and upon assembly, the left bedside would not accept the rear cross sill, so I actually had to cut cross sill and do some major modifications to it, then upon installing the bedwood I noticed the angle that is tack welded onto the bedside that sits ontop of the bedwood was 3/8 lower than the right side, my experience is not very good, they must have no quality control, so unless you want a sub par build I would go else where.

I kept hearing nothing but good things about AMD, but be aware!!! their packaging for shipping is the worst! Everything... Everything Ive ordered showed up with shipping damage. Fenders, Hood, Trunk lid, inner fenders, even patch panels. All ordered at different times, all had damage.
