I love their Buffalo chicken salad. Couldnt finish it all. Loads of chicken. And their ice cream! So many flavors. Had the dark chocolate raspberry truffle. Yum.❤❤❤
Was here on 9/2/19 at around 1:30pm. The waitress was awesome. She was warm, welcoming, fast and professional. The food was cooked to perfection. I had two chili dogs and followed up with a chocolate Sunday. The hotdogs were cooked perfectly. They did not skimp on the chili either. Nice atmosphere with great music set at a comfortable level. Im looking forward to bringing my sports car here.
Slow service. Ordered a grilled cheese with onions, they make a grilled cheese with a pile of onions on the side. Say they will remake and bring out to us. Ok. Thats great. Then the waitress couldnt find us (out of the 10 people there) so leaves the sandwich in some random table. Finally sees us when she came out for something else. Brings the sandwich over, of course by now the sandwich is not hot.
I remember coming here as a kid, they have the best root beer floats and when you order a kids meals you get this pop up 80s car with the meal. I miss this place

Disappointing. We are outside. Long wait time for the food to be cooked. Was not busy at all at 7pm. They changed vendors for their drinks and its terrible. The flavors were either way off or not there at all. We ordered rootbeer and ice tea. Horrible. The food was still good. It just takes forever to get it.
Needs work on service. Opens too late in the spring season making it hard to hire competent help. Menu and food quality also needs help. The place has potential in the right hands.
I dont know what happened, but its gotten terrible. The ice cream prices are sky high and the portions are getting smaller. It used to be so good!
Although we arrived at the ice cream window just before their 9:30pm closing time, the service was friendly and the ice cream (I had a chocolate/vanilla soft twist cone) was just fine. Unfortunately, on a hot July night, the mosquitos were voracious so we didnt linger at the picnic tables.
Going downhill. We used to love this place. Service was bad, food portions were small.
The place was understaffed the day we went, but the 2 who were working very friendly and apologetic. The food was great and worth the extra wait. I will stop there again on my next visit to NY.
This use to be a great place. New owner and new staff. Prices have gone up, service couldnt get any slower and at times rude. They are not handicapped accessible either. The best part of this place is the Saturday night cruise in.

Its hard to believe than such an iconic and historic place would serve such low quality food. Both the Angus burgers and the salad were awful. This has been our second attempt at Sweet Inspirations, and our last!! Maybe Ill take the staffs suggestion and go to McDonalds. (Yes... Thats exactly what I heard from across the restaurant when our server went up to tell whoever was running the counter!!)
Awesome ice cream shop and restaurant. Tons of flavors both soft and hard with some sugar free options as well. Good food, too, for lunch and dinner. Always busy but never a long wait.
Pretty good food, pretty decent amounts of food to!, buff, chicken sandwich really good love there fries to, but if you love Texas hot sauce exp. If your used to Rudys in Oswego or used to it being spicy u will be a little disappointed with there Texas hot sauce it taste more like sloppy Joe not hot or spicy at all, but other then that everything else was great

Love there food, but those waitresses, treat the ice cream girls like dirt, and let me remind you when your in a bad mood you do not yell out in front of customers that your not in a good mood, yell at the the girls to get to work tell if waitress I got this. Wow how embarrassing. Shameful
Service was a little on the slow side. They only have 3 choices of soft serve, they have a wide variety of hard ice creams (we wanted different choices of soft serve.l).
Iove this place. The prices are PERFECT. The staff is friendly. My orders always come out correctly, fast and delicious. Great place to take a family. They not only have every type of ice cream concoction, but they also have a full menu. They have indoor and outdoor seating, yes the inside is air conditioned. The patio seating has umbrellas so you are not in the sun. They also have really cool car shows there and its located on the main drag next to the town bowling alley. People have been coming here for generations. I met someone the other day there that was celebrating his 92nd birthday and wanted to get a cone from there if that tells you anything
People say its expensive to eat there, but I dont think its any more then going to Wendys for 3 people.
Service was good place appears clean. Food was a disappointment. Ordered fish dinner was over cooked dryed out and the breading was falling off. Fries were good but the mac salad was a disappointment. Everything that I saw come from the kitchen that was fried was way over cooked. I may stop again and try ice cream but am very unlikely to eat there again
I went there a couple weeks ago with family. We wanted to eat inside but we had to go outside to order ice cream. When we tried to do that they were out of so many flavors and no soft serve at all we ended up going next door.
Good food a bit price cool place to go
We placed an order for two of us. Each of 4 items came out at different intervals...so we couldnt really eat together....1 item so 1 person ate, wait, 2nd item came so other person could eat a little... eat, wait....one item was burnt and had to be recooked...oh, and after we both ate a little, and were ready to leave, we got our French fries...to take home. I can remember when Sweet Inspirations was a fun place to get great food and great ice cream....I miss those days!

I was eating here not too long ago and overheard someone in the kitchen yelling and cussing. I heard some gossip between the servers and they were saying how it was the managers son and he was allowed to do whatever he wanted. I also overheard about a ton of theft going on. I would not recommend this place as it is not kid-friendly and an over all bad environment. Had to send my food back as it was wrong. Came back and it was so gross, I couldnt swallow it.

It seems like every time I go its closed. They often close early as well, which is very frustrating because I waste my time and gas going there, just for them to close down early. They do have good cream, but everything, including the food, is very expensive. The service is pretty slow. Theres usually only one person behind the counter even on busy days.

We went there for some ice cream about 30 mins prior to them closing.. we asked for specific ice cream.. we were then told that there was no vanilla.. my friends then decided that they were going to go elsewhere because they had their dog (who can only have vanilla) after they were getting ready to walk about the lady then said they had vanilla. After they were finally able to place their order, the lady was all snobby because we were going to leave. But far the WORST experience I have had at sweet insperstions..
The girls here are very friendly. The place has cleaned up a lot and they practice good food safety standards.

My order was wrong, and when I tried to call the person who I talked to said I should have checked the items before I left. But my husband picked up the order for me and gave them the order Id written down. He was allergic to some of the ingredients Id requested so he couldnt just try it and see. 3 ice creams were almost 20$. I ordered Two flurries and a large flavorburst.

I worked here for 3 1/2 years and I have to say that it is completely different a year and a half later now that I am not working there. I was incredibly disappointed when I went to get ice cream first of all stood outside in line waiting to order for about 15 minutes I noticed there was a line inside for ice cream as well so instead I went inside order ice cream there was one person ahead of me the girl at the counter was much younger and all by herself at 7 o’clock on a Friday night, overheard her saying she didn’t know where anything was and her running around like a chicken with her head cut off because she had no idea what she was doing by herself now her line was not that long but within the 45 minutes I stood there waiting to order it eventually got a little long and yet the owner paced back-and-forth to the front three or four times seeing her struggle and not helping her easily could’ve taken some orders for her to reduce the stress that she was under from clearly being un trained. Every time she seemed to hand an order out the window it was either missing a dish was supposed to be in a dish was missing a topping she wasn’t reading her screen after she typed it and also they advertise buy one get one free ice cream and you wouldn’t think you’d have to say something in order to receive the discount they are posting all over social media so instead I paid full price for all of my ice cream when I got 4 small cones because she did not discount them, also heard her turning away customers because she didn’t have tops for flurry’s so she continued to say she couldn’t make them that’s a lot of business to push away if you ask me just for flurry tops I’m sure if they wanted it that bad they wouldnt mind it without a top. Honestly I think there needs to be a second sort of management for the night shifts if they are that clueless as to what their doing. I loved this place when I worked here I love coming here and even when I didnt, this will always be one of my favorite places but I have to say a lot of things have changed and it definitely just seems like complete chaos. I do hope someone sees this and I do hope changes happen a lot of people love coming here they love the atmosphere and they love the 50s and 60s vibe and the cruise nights that’s the best part! But with this sort of customer service people will be pissed and people will not come back like myself I will probably just wait for Big Dipper open and not be back after that experience.

They have ok food but 1 the wait is wayyyyy longer then it should be 2 they charge a pretty high amount 3 they have horrendous portions like they give you 3 fries it’s despicable for what they charge 4 they have great ice cream that’s the only real reason we go there in conclusion just go for the ice cream

The WORST FOOD I have ever had. Do not order the loaded fries. Its like they got the meat thats on it from a dumpster behind a taco bell. The house special that is actually named after the place is a joke and the lady taking our order didnt know what it consists of. The fish sandwich was watery and strange. TERRIBLE FOOD POOR SERVICE. Its a shame because the place is adorable. I should have just had an ice cream. How could they mess that up.

I got chicken tenders that looked like they were run over by a truck and burnt. The onion rings were so crispy that you couldnt bite into them. The ice tea tasted and looked like water with flavor added.they charged $2 for a slice of cheese on a burger it was terrible. Will never go again.

Having been in the restaurant/hospitality business for 20+ years, great service and dining experiences can be measured by the attentiveness of management and how employees interact and take pride in welcoming customers, food preparation and cleanliness.Today, I managed to finish working in the Syracuse area earlier than normal. I wanted to have a 50s dining experience for dinner. According to Google, closing time for Sweet Inspiration is 8:00 p.m.In the restaurant business, this means the last seating is at 8:00 p.m. and not a minute sooner. I knew my arrival time would be around 7:45 p.m. I actually arrived at 7:51 p.m. As I pull up in front of the restaurant, a staff member locked the door. How rude! Now, it makes me wonder the following, Had the staff sat me down for dinner, would they have followed proper ServSafe food handing procedures or shortcutted the preparation by 9 minute?It seems the only choices for a great diner experience is Mimis in Fulton or Baldwinsville Diner in Baldwinsville.
