Update: thank you for explaining. I empathize and appreciate the challenges in this current workforce environment. While it was frustrating experience for me, I do appreciate the explanation and offer. Most folks don’t take the time to explain. Changed review rating.—————————————————Called earlier to see if they had Gluten free donuts available today. My daughters birthday is tomorrow and she asked for the donuts first thing in the morning. We were told they had the donuts and they’d be here all night (open 24/7). I drive the 20 miles, arrive at 10pm to a locked door and workers inside shaking their head ‘no’ at me. Online says 24/7. Employee on phone said 24/7. Heck, the windows says “25 hours a day, 8 days a week” (picture attached). Extremely frustrating that I see 24/7 at every turn and then find a locked door.
Pictures are really speak for themselves! Not my first rodeo here but I’ve always wanted to review this place. decadent donuts that you will be coming back for every time you’re around the area. friendly staff and creative array of doughnuts with some ice cold milk and other drinks if you need. My favorite is the maple glazed long boi. Definitely one of the best dessert shop in the north of the metroplex!
Found out about this sweet place 😌 by word of mouth. I dont live exactly near by, about ten miles or so, with about fifty donut shops between this place of business and my humble dwelling. It was worth the drive past the other donut shops. Think of this place like The nothing bundt cakes or a boutique level cupcake shop like Sprinkles. To call it a donut shop would not be giving the proper credit due here. Dont delay, come get some today!
The best specialty 🍩! I have traveled about half of this country and have never found another place like Hurts. Even the name brining me right back to childhood with Charlie horses is amazing. Mint oreo topped, fruity pebbles topped, butterfinger topped, Andes candies topped, Reeses topped, even maple bacon topped Donuts! If you think it is a good flavor combination, these guys have made a donut out of it.
Nice place. Owner (or the older gentleman with a hat behind the counter) seems to be a little grumpy else I’d rate this higher. Coffee refills seem to be free depending upon who is working the cash register. I like independent businesses over franchise chains (although many of those are family run too) so demeanor and customer service are paramount. Nice donuts otherwise.I’d rather save my money for Wow Donuts across the street - also family owned but WAY WAY WAY better customer service.
I upset (& glad) that this place isnt closer to me. Excellent choices & good quality. Wish the prices were better, but then, Id eat more.
You should come on over here. Take a good look at my pictures and zoom in on them to see the names of the donuts and what they look like. Know what you want BEFORE you arrive. That way you can spend less time footing around (while others are waiting behind you to make up your mind) and more time getting fat and enjoying these delicious treats.
My daughter loves this place! We went to grab her a dessert 🍩 Crazy they’re open 24/7, makes it’s easy to get your donut fix at any time. Sooo many options to chose from. Donuts are always fresh and delicious!
Donuts are good, but too cake like for my taste. They have great variety and great hours of operations.
While originally I gave hurts donuts 5 stars I have to say service and quality has declined. Especially when you go in for a cinnamon roll with the cream cheese frosting and they look at you like you are from another planet. Yes hurts donuts in Frisco youve sold me cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting in the past and I have pictures to prove it. So stop looking so dumbfounded and angry when I ask you for them. Ill be finding another place to take my kids and family to from now on. *Awesome donuts! Cool atmosphere. We took our children to have a treat on a weekend afternoon. Our children were very impressed with the different donuts that they had. My favorite is the blueberry donut. Or if you like cake get a birthday cake donut(chocolate or vanilla) you cant go wrong with either. The employees are friendly and dont forget to buy a T Shirt!q
Best donuts ever, get anything and have your life changed forever
The last 2 times there the donuts were dry. But the other times good.
Really unique donuts in a cute cosy setting! Hurts has a nice variety of interesting flavours; I got the ‘Jesus’ and ‘Slim Shady’, though I’ve had the ‘Cosmic Brownie’ before which were all great!Everyone there is super nice, and patient since we spent so long trying to figure out what we wanted (so many choices!)Also the music there is great!
I love the variety they have here, and the hours are super convenient! I wished that they had a menu of all their offerings with pictures on their website though! That way I could print it out and bring it to work and put it next to the box so my coworkers knew what each kind of doughnut was. They all spent so long agonizing over what they were gonna choose because they didn’t know what anything would taste like haha.
Awesome donuts. Great service!
Never had a problem with this location, until today! The gentleman (if you can call him that) that answered the phone was incredibly rude and cursed me out for calling so early, I tried to find out more information, however he wouldnt let me get a word in. Its currently 3:51am. For a company that advertises that they are open 24/7 this is something that isnt expected or tolerated!! Sign on door says open 10/28
The maple bacon was really good, unfortunately the rest of my donuts were a little stale and chewy cereal but a little understandable because I went almost at 11:00 at night, on the other hand they shouldnt have been full price not being their freshest. I will give four stars because they have a great selection and the maple bacon donut I got was really good
Hurts is absolutely fantastic! I love the donuts; they are all very rich and tasteful and they arent stale at all, despite them being open 24/7. I went around 8:30 pm and this trip perfectly satisfied my craving for a sweet treat. The staff was extremely nice and helpful when I was picking out my donuts. Although I am not usually a fan of cake donuts, I loved the cake donuts I received, they were lighter than regular cake donuts and exceeded my expectations. Hurts absolutely blew my expectations out of the water, and it is a great way to support local businesses. Definitely give this place a try!
Went at 8:30 on a Friday, 3 people ahead of me. Ordered a dozen $15 wasnt bad. Donuts were good, lots and lots of sugar! Cereal ones a little disappointing because the cereal taste stale. I wouldnt wait in a 1 hour long line, but no wait sure. Nice laid back atmosphere. 4 stars because I feel like customer service could be a little nicer, more welcoming.
Id say its a good donut overall. First time trying, had to try as I heard a lot of people rave about the place. I would definitely recommend going because everyone has a different way of making donuts ...this type of place serves the Cake style donuts not the light and fluffy kind just FYI. Overall - place was very clean, smelled great, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I think the presentation of the donuts was spot on ...but again this is for those that like cake style donuts. Give it a try,You never know.
Only thing that hurts about this place is my brain from having to decide what delicious donut to have and my pancreas from the sugary goodness.
Weve been to Hurts several times and while some donuts are on point taste-wise, others are very dry. Last time, the old fashioned donuts were to die for, but this time they disappointed. The Jesus donut was on point but the red velvet was really dry, despite being pretty. Overall, some donuts here are very good and they are always creative and well-presented, but the consistency in quality could be improved (for cake and old fashioned). My husband liked his yeast donuts though, and those seem consistent.
The Good:Excellent donuts! Best in the area!Glaze donut is by far my favorite.Price is good for what you get.The Bad:The lesser expensive option for more than one donut is to let them pick for you. Although I’ve not had a bad experience with that, I can see someone getting a donut or two that they don’t want. The Ugly:Certain special donuts are significantly more than the others. Although the cinnamon role (which is as big as your face) is priced more accurately, the other specialty donuts are $2-$3 per.Recommendations:Allow the customer who wants to do the $7 half dozen or $13 dozen to have a “mulligan”, where they can change one or two donuts in the final box before walking out.
Very good selections. Super fun to see all different colors and designs.
Best donuts in Dallas Ft. Worth now can I get a free dozen for the shout out?
Went here on a whim after eating lunch. Thought the kids would fall asleep in the car and wed just pick some up and head home. That didnt work, but we had a good time eating there. Got a little dirty which is a half dozen of the donuts of our choice. They were all good. Most of the donuts arent a traditional type donut were probably all used to. These are really cake. I guess most donuts are, but these are pretty dense. I liked them though. Line was fast and plenty of seating.
My gosh! So much to pick from! .price wise its worth it. We order 2 donuts each and considering my children love sweets they barely finished 1!. I would recommend this donut place. What sucks is that it was far for us and this location is THE ONLY one in texas so far. Cinnamon rolls and apple fritters are same size as your head! .big size donuts. Too much too pick from 👍
Themed donuts the size of your head! Great flavor depending on your taste and always an interesting selection. Good service too. You wont be disappointed.
Stopped here one late night after going to the hospital to visit a family member. It was a treat for missing dinner with my fam. Surprised them with these cute and delicious donuts the next morning. Customer service was great and we were happy and satisfied with quality and service despite the crazy construction. The girls at the cashier was awesome, funny and patient with us as we struggle to pick all 12 donuts. Will come again soon.
Loved the red velvet but the plain glazed were the best. Gotta go early.
I love this place. So glad they are opened 25/8.
Fantastic apple fritters. The other donuts were good too
Absolutely breathtaking assortment of the most epic donuts and pastries. It took 5min to even narrow down the selection to a handful. Once the most indecisive decision since the red pill or the blue pill had been made it was immediate bliss to my taste buds! Overcome with the flavor causing pure happiness I decided this must be mixed with what must have only been unicorn blood as it was so good I couldnt stop forcefeeding my face with its overwhelming delicious treat... The maple bacon is almost worthy of its own church and cut following.... Just go already and enjoy the life changing experience!
These were really good doughnuts. Also got a kolache. It was a good size and tasted good. I wouldve given 5 stars but after asking whether there was some mustard for the kolache, there was a bit of a bad look given by this girl with silver hair. Like she of all people should be judgmental. Also the music wasnt exactly appropriate. I like rap and all but when you hear explicit lyrics when theres kids around, there should probably be more appropriate music put on.
Amazing doughnuts. I love the variety. Some of the doughnuts are too thick but still delicious. Its also pretty amazing that they are open 24/7
They have the best donuts around and great prices! I reccomend one of the cake donuts, they are delisious!
Delicious donuts! A little on the pricey side but they are well worth it. They have alot of fun designs and flavors.
Its a cake with a hole in it. Very good, delicious in fact, but not your traditional donut. Its an experience.
I mean, 24/7 fresh donuts with crazy and traditional recipes? Ya its a winner. Great for late night treats after dinner. Only complaint is theyre 20 mins from my house -- or maybe thats a blessing?!?
This place is amazing. You can get normal flavored donuts and then there are crazy kinds you can get. The Cinnamon rolls are as big as your head too. Best part they are open all the time!
Looking for awesome and delicious donuts come here. Awesome and friendly staff and well worth it!!!
Drove out of way to try them...Bought 5 different kinds for us to taste. 3 of 5 were RAWServers were really rude when I called back to let them know.
We drove 20 minutes out of our way just have this location shut down early when its clearly stated online and on the door that its 24hrs.Yet doors are locked at 11:30pm with employee inside Wont waste our time again
Vibe is new and unique. Donuts are amazing. However, the place just opened folks and the response from the community has been huge. Do not go unless you are prepared to wait about an hour or more (SERIOUSLY). Also you may not get the exact donut you want because they will run out of something, but hey theres always next time! Set your expectations appropriately and you will love it!
Best donuts anywhere.
Great donuts for anytime, not just in the morning. Open evenings, a plus.
Very very good! Our family enjoyed the donuts we got. Our favorite was the simple glazed though! Friendly staff. Neat place. 🍩
Called ahead to make sure this location was 24 hours, then when we showed up the store was closed. the workers inside were incredible rude and kept “shooing” us away. i’m very disappointed. i even went on a saturday when it says open 24 hours AND called ahead. ridiculous.
This place has the largest, yummiest and different donuts than any place that we have been before. Some are more like a dessert than a donut. An out of towner friend bought a dozen. Not sure what he was thinking but he took them on the plane back to California.
Great food and great prices and cinnamon rolls as big as a childs head.
Scrumptious! Decadent! Youll be giddy over the plethora of choices. Fairly priced and well worth it.
Got a custom donuts order, pretty
The donuts are stale, overpriced and have way too many toppings on them. I tried one that was delivered to my office and it tasted quite stale, as though it had been left out in the open overnight prior to being delivered. The donuts have an almost unbearable amount of toppings on them which makes the flavor overwhelming. There is definitely a lot of hype surrounding these donuts, however I find them to be lacking in quality, taste, and freshness when compared to other local donut establishments. Perhaps buying one for a special occasion makes sense, but if you are looking for a great-tasting, soft and chewy donut to enjoy with a good beverage, you may wish to look elsewhere.Be sure to look for the awesome custom vehicle that they usually have parked in front of the restaurant - the graphics on it are great! This restaurant is open twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week so at least you can purchase a donut whenever the mood strikes your fancy.
I love this place because I love donuts but Im a night owl. I live in Dallas but Ill go out of my way on special occasions to come here. I dont do five stars just because many of the donut options are really just an amalgamation of candy and treats stuffed onto a donut that could really only be appealing to a young child. The fresher donuts are delicious but a lot of the time they have donuts out that taste old, like theyve been sitting there for a while. The cake donuts are good even if theyve been sitting but I wish I could request they make a fresh batch of glazed for me without seeming demanding, haha, so its really up to luck whether or not they have fresh, warm donuts available.
Delicious donuts and I personally liked the theme of the place as well. They have some unique flavors, I tried a few and they very fresh and delicious!!
Love this place!!
Every time we go to Frisco we visit and buy the delicious donuts and we loved. What a selection and flavors. I will be back this year
Deliciously creative donuts... A feast for the eyes and tummy!
Donuts are yummy. Staff are super nice! Will go back to try all different kinds of donuts!
The donuts were amazing and it was a fun atmosphere. It is a must visit!
Long wait, limited choices. Hopefully it gets better.Update: Came back months later. Soggy donuts, cake like donuts were soggy. Kids just ate the toppings, 3 stars in stead of 2 because they liked the glaze donut. Id come back for those.
Itll take you awhile to choose what to het here, but you probably cant go wrong.
Best doughnuts I’ve ever had!!! Amazing!
Honestly, why does every adult in Hurts after 2am look like theyre cheating on their children? Opted for an assorted half dozen... the Jesus, German Chocolate Cake, Almond Joy, Maple Bacon and a couple other tasty delights with some chocolate milk and left happy... Speedy service and delectable donuts!
Perfect place to buy any kind of donut you dream about. Great service. Friendly professional staff. Worth the drive from far!
Tasty and fattening. Just what i wanted
Phanomonal donuts! There are many different donuts, so if your looking for something plain, this is not the place to go...normally theres a long wait, but you may get lucky..the only problem is they need more seating for the amount of peaple they get,but other than that, It is suggested to go here
UPDATE! Not open 24 hours a day anymore. Except on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday... And the other days from 5am to 10pm. According to my math, that saves them like 9 hours spread over three different days and completely ruins the brand. Wow, good call.On a positive note, all QTs & 7-11s that I pass on my way there are always open! and a lot closer and have fresher donuts so I guess..thanks..?
Some of the best donuts around. High recommend going here.
Great place for grandson to pick a treat!💕
Well i waited 2 months to try this place, service was mediocre, i told the guy it was my first time and he didnt seem to care, and i could see he wasnt in the mood to explain all my questions so that alone makes me never want to come back, stopped in at 9am and was shocked i was the only 1, prices were ok the Dirty Dozen costs $15, took them to work shared with my co workers, later we all chatted about what we thought and honestly i will continue going to Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme... dont believe the hype this place is just new to the area, give it another 6 months and it will just be 1 of many donut shops in the area....
They were good but pricey
We came here at midnight on a Friday night and there were no other patrons. The lady working the counter apologized for the lack of selection, although there were over 15 different things for us to choose from, we really had a hard time picking just a dozen! Everything looked amazing and tasted even better! After visiting Voodoo Donuts (in PDX and ATX) I can honestly say Hurts Donuts blows them out of the water.
Great, They are a thick cake donut but well worth it. You will need a second stomach to finish a dozen donuts.
Yummy! Friendly A+. Bring a location to the Alamo city🤞
Very unfortunate they changed their hours. Donuts in the middle of the night were the best and now it’s no more. I work nights so I guess this means no more Hurts. Hopefully they won’t lose too much business.
