My favorite place to go when I visit the Stonebriar mall and also one of my favorite Barnes and noble locations overall. Big, 2-floor bookstore with cafe upstairs and bathroom downstairs. Big kids book area, lots of puzzles/games/toys/etc. well-stocked and overall well-maintained. Seems like they’ve stayed in pretty decent business since I’ve been going to this location over the past 5-7 years or so. The kids love going since there are escalators writhing bookstore and they have fun going up and down, getting cooking from cafe, and picking out books. I have been and will continue to be a regular customer at this location.
Such a great store. I was in town visiting for a few days and ended up spending a surprising amount of time here. They have great prices and a huge selection of new books. I walked away with several that have been on my book list for quite a while. Very friendly staff and a great location within the mall.
Decent book store, seems like they had a large choice of eclectic magazines and books.
I wanted to return a book bought from the Book Annex section (bargain books). I was within 30 days as per their return policy. The sales associate refused my return and just said they dont accept any bargain books because they want to get rid of them.After chatting, emailing, calling Corporate Customer Service, and re-reading the Store Return Policy a billion times, I came back the next day to return the bargain book with a different sales associate. She quickly processed my return with no question asked. The return policy makes no mention of bargain books and states that as long as the book is new and unread you can return it within 30 days.Please train your staff better instead of them just randomly deciding out of thin air what the policies are. I wont be shopping here again cause, honestly, Amazon is cheaper with an easy return process. Just browse at this store, and then find the book online for cheaper. I dont think B&N will last as a store with their prices and return policies.
Ive been going to this Barnes and Noble ever since it opened. Ive always enjoyed going and this time wow! How it has changed. So many more books its like a candy shop. The momment is step foot in the door I want to start buying books! The staff is always friendly and willing to help. Great place!
This one has 2 floors, their café is a decently good sized one and it always seems to be neat and in order.
Weve visited here a few times. The store is always well kept and the employees are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The books we were looking for were largely in stock, save for one.My favorite thing about the store is actually the section with toys and boardgames, as well as the fact that they carry some Dungeons and Dragons stuff. Im not sure if this is unique to this store or not, but its sure neat.Weve been more than once and plan to continue to return.
A great B&N location overall. This location has a particularly good selection of the kind of books usually prefer to buy in person.The 2-star review is due to the feminist literature in the kid’s section and the pro-LGBT literature and display in the pre-teen literature area which is right outside the kid’s section entrance. This is purposeful, of course.
The staff I encountered were nice, as well as helpeful. Not preoccupied nor looking to push certain things on me. I appreciate that myself. I was slightly pressed for time so I did not look closely nor ask, but I did not see either Brick Journal or Blocks magazines stocked there however.
The staff was very pleasant and offered suggestions without asking but not in a way to be over intrusive. The selection is as good as any other book store they try to have the latest popular titles which is nice, I just personally wish thier non fiction was a bit bigger but its not as popular so I can see why its not.
Its like going back in time, a nice book store with enough space to walk through different sections, a nice area for children, a coffee shop. Its an old-fashioned retail experience.
I was glad to walk in and around the store without being hassled about wearing a mask. They are as useful as a chain link fence in a snowstorm.

I really enjoyed my time looking at all of the books, they did have the specific series I was looking for but had so many other options.

The store is located in stonebriar mall. It is well lit with good yet with good selection of books and games including some hard to find not available at other stores. The media section is partially blocked off and not as good of a selection as it once had. Most of the movies they have on hand are DVD and criterion.. Very few blue ray or 4K movie. Their music selection is very small and not very good.
I was refused the option to shop in store due to my inability to wear a mask. They recommend that I shop online and not receive the same customer service, browsing ability or bookstore experience because of my health limitations. I was told by a manager that they offer free shipping and free returns, but he left out that that’s only true if you purchase $35 or more. He told me that a plastic face shield was an acceptable alternative to an actual face mask, directly contradicting B&N policy of “following CDC guidelines and recommendations,” because the CDC specifically recommends against this alternative as it offers no respiratory protection. I guess I’ll be ordering from another bookstore or ordering heavy books for $35 or more, flipping through them and sending them back. They would rather spend extra money on shipping than acknowledge that the science doesn’t back up mask wearing by the general public or allow those unable to wear a mask the same shopping experience as those who can and choose to. Return department, get ready for about 50 separate orders and returns.
Theres a wide variety of things! There manga section is also really good.
Bit on the expensive side compared to other retailers but the collection here is extensive. I would look through items here and order them online later.

Great book store! A little pricey.
It has a Starbucks inside that is wonderful, but you can not scan your phone app at it so you may want to go to the Starbucks in the food court if you want points, but I am not sure if they scan your app on the phone either. You can preview books at a table in Starbucks for about 30 minutes due to there being limited seating and no available seating in Barnes N Noble at this time due to COVID. I ordered a book that stated it would take 7-10 days to arrive, but it actually arrived in around 5.
Love this place. In The Colony. Or maybe its considered Plano. Anyway. I have visited them a couple of times already. And recently purchased the Bible pictured here. It was the only copy they had. And I was able to get it placed on hold for a couple of days, before I could go and pick it up. So Im really stoked about that. Ive always enjoyed looking and shopping at B&N due to the awesome selection of books and related items thst they carry in thier stores. So Yes I absolutely Recommend visiting them.
Rude and incompetent!! Ive loved Barnes & Noble in the past but never again will I go back here! First I asked for their e-readers the man claimed he couldnt understand me so I said it twice more. Then i said its like a kindle. He gives me an impromptu lesson on how kindles belong to Amazon, and their product is called a Nook. (As if I dont know that already) And THEN he directs me to where they are. Strike one. I get to the section, a different representative starts out helpful, but doesnt even know how the device works! I ended up figuring most of it out on my own by accessing the features and capabilities found on THEIR WEBSITE. Why even have employees who are not interested in learning the products you sell?! Between the devices and accessories that I need for school you just lost a $300+ sale. Learn some customer service skills! You think Hewlett-Packard would deter me from purchasing a computer just because I call it a Dell?!
Staff is always super friendly, and I love that B&N is trying to be more up with online booktrends with special tables, editions, and everything. Always fun to come hang out!

Barnes and Noble cant put themselves out of business any faster. A company that was already struggling pre-covid should not be trying to alienate any possible revenue stream today. The only reason I would shop at a Barnes and Noble would be to walk out with a pile of books that day. Now if you want to force people to wear a mask, I just wont give you my business. You dont have a product or service that cant be obtained elsewhere and for less.

Huge book store with literally every book I could think of! Even a lot of the classic like les miserables, Robin hood, and Sherlock Holmes. If I could I would spend all day in this place! I love books and I love that they have a huge kids section

Ive been to this location several times and I have never had a complaint. Today when I went looking for a specific book in the childrens section, I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Someone walked with me, found the book, and directed me towards checkout. There is also a large selection of new books in addition to very affordable pricing on the classics.

I was sent the incorrect books online. I called customer service and was advised to go into the location and exchange the books. The lady assisting me was very nice and accommodating. There was a price difference that required me to pay more than what I paid online so she asked for help from what Im assuming is the manager (He was behind me guiding customers). Needless to say he was very short and abrasive. It was before Christmas and they were busy, however my money is green and I would not go back or shop online to be treated that poorly.

When you get bored shopping online and want to spend the day physically browsing in a store, it doesnt get better than this place. The smell of books is on the air and the selection is mind-blowing!!
Its a bookstore that has many other things in it such as a limited selection of toys, movies, and games. Why does it only get 3 stars? The restrooms need to be cleaned way more often

Its in the mall, and if youre doing a pickup order to try to minimize contact, good luck. You have to go in, upstairs, and to the rear of the store to pick up any items ordered online. Otherwise well organized, with a Starbucks, but also filled with employees who are entirely apathetic about their job or any customers in need of assistance.
We went around closing time and everyone was still very nice! They had an item my daughter had wanted for about a month, I didnt realize they were about to close, they let us grab the item and even smiled and thanked us for coming in.

Very disappointed in management and experience. “Something” happened to their machine and they swore it did not go through and we went through the check out process again. Only to find out it did in fact go through. We were told the bank would handle it and that there’s nothing they could do. Now they’re not answering phone calls. Very disappointing.
The store is very big. This is the first book store that I ever visit that have two floors. Unfortunately the book selection wasnt great and in my opinion it was very unorganized. People do offer to help. But I guess I wasnt impressed. I couldnt find anything that I was looking for...

We, me & kids,, came in right at opening. Computers werent completely booted yet. Ms. Cynthia(i think) helped us find the last Super wings advent calendar. The lady that checked me out with short light brown hair and black glasses,(Gracy per reciept), helped direct me when I entered and explained club membership while checking out. She was great too.
I had this place rated 5, but I cant anymore after getting news of the deaf child and mother and mask incident. Very sad! The District Manager is following up, but until there is a resolution I have to change it. Tomorrow I should hear something.
Im 35 weeks pregnant and get light headed sometimes. I sat down on the floor in the corner out of everyones way at this barnes and noble to rest and get my head in order before walking again. I had not one but 2 employs tell at me and tell me to get up, because thats not allowed! Ummm... ok. I was wearing a mask the whole time. I tried to explain that Im pregnant and wont stay long. Just trying to reat a few minutes, they sent another lady with a louder voice.If a pregnant lady cant rest for 3min. On your floor, why are you even in business!They made me cry. I would change management if thats how they go about things!

There was one book case entirely filled with mystery books where the detectives are magic cats. I took off one start because the first person who helped when I asked brought me to the wrong area and left me there without making sure the book was there. Second person lead me to the right place though.
