The best Reuben sandwich I’ve ever had. Perfectly grilled Rye bread, warm corned beef, delicious sauerkraut and melted Swiss cheese... oh and of course the sauce! Coleslaw was terrific, super nice staff, the restaurant was very clean. The black and white cookie was amazing.. I’ll be back next week!

We ordered at the counter, then went and sat down and they brought the food to you.If you want water or other refills of beverages, you go up the side station. The speed of the service was really fast and the team was nice. The menu is massive. We had Deborahs Bagel and Lox and GiGis Breakfast (Pancakes, Bacon and Eggs). We also picked up some colorful butter cookies and a raspberry Rugelach pastry for later in the day. The whole pasty case looked so tasty and good.

Good quality meat and many sandwich selections. However, I went in looking for an Italian sandwich and found that they pretty much only have beef, turkey and tuna for meat selection. I had the standard Reuben and a pickle. The dressing was on the side which was unexpected. Otherwise I was satisfied with the sandwich although I have had better elsewhere. I will definitely swing by for a Rueben or roast beef fix but still on the hunt for a good Italian sub in Frisco.

The sandwiches are good, but the pricing is ridiculous. If you have a family of 4, expect to pay $70.00 for 4 sandwiches and 2 drinks.$14.99 for a pastrami sandwich and chips. The chicken rice soup was just Ok, if that… tasted like can soup. Service was fast, but really lacking friendly.I wish the pricing was a bit more competitive, definitely would fit it in our weekly or bi-weekly routine…. But the value for what you pay isn’t there.

The bagels are tasty, but their soup is a scam. They use 24oz containers for a bowl and then use 32oz containers for a double bowl. I should be getting 48oz for a double bowl. A bowl currently comes with 4 Kreplachs, and 8 for a double, which seems to be the only thing thats actually doubled. Also, their Kreplachs taste either sweet or if they were defrosted.

The corned beef sandwich on rye bread was very good with a nice deli brown mustard. The potato salad was interesting, a bit chunkier than I expected, but it had good flavor. The pickle plate was a nice touch. I topped the meal off with an outstanding Doc Browns black cherry soda. The owner stopped by to see how we liked the meal, and we had a brief conversation about how much we enjoyed their bagels that usually brings us in. They make a solid lunch, and there was a good crowd in the store. They were out of the egg bagels, but they graciously offered to make some fresh for us. It worked out perfectly, since the bagels were hot and ready to go at the end of our meal. We will definitely keep coming back for the bagels, and we will add them to our list of favorite lunch spots.

15$ for a lukewarm sandwich is kind of insane. There was no one there and I have to assume their astronomical prices are to blame. I even got sick from eating their corned beef reuben. Desserts (danish, struedel) were soggy with condensation from their refrigeration case.

DELISH! I honestly dont think Ive had a Reuben since I moved to TX from the east coast 20 yrs ago. This did not disappoint. Got my order to go. When Im handed the bag 1st thing I notice -- how HEAVY the bag is! Generous portions of meat on sandwich. Choose the potato salad as my side - AMAZING. Just like mom used to make - real chunks of boiled to perfect potatoes and NO MUSTARD. Such a great compliment to the sandwich. Staff very friendly, fast service. GO!

So I rushed over to eat at this “so called” NYC deli, just to find my food very bland and not to par. I’m from the E.C, it’s a NO for me. I spent/wasted $42 on horrible breakfast and a sub par sandwich. Was hoping for a better out come, however, just because it says NYC doesn’t mean it’s authentic.

My lunch break has been ruined twice in a row for carelessness. First time I ordered a sandwich for myself and my boyfriend, staff politely apologized for the 30 minute wait, we get home and his sandwich was nothing more than a chicken breast between bread. All other ingredients were missing. Today my sandwich was specifically requested with lettuce, onion extra cheese- all missing. The second sandwich was on the wrong bread. 2 sandwiches cost $30 with no drinks?? Ridiculously disappointed.

They grill their sauerkraut and the bread is grilled to toasty crispy perfection that is Devine when combined with their 1000 Island sauce. Our meal came with a side and they suggested their fries... The seasoning was good and the fries were crispy with mushy middles... perfectly topped off with pickles.Outside of a Reuben I had in New York City last summer here in Plano, Texas it tasted the same... First visit to Deli News. The chicken salad sandwich and matzo ball soup were tasty, as well as the deli sandwiches. The goulash entree - priced at $20 was HORRIFIC. The meat was dry and hard and the sauce was...not sure what it was- NOT goulash. It was sweet and tasted like nutmeg or cinnamon. The carrot cake for dessert was also disappointing - dry and tasted freezer burned. Overall, given the prices of an ordinary sandwich ($10) and the lack of quality in the food, we likely won’t return to Deli News.

Are you looking for a place to get some great rubens or delicious New York style bagels, then the Deli News is worth the trip!I came to visit the store during the soft opening, and as you know during soft openings there are adjustment periods during growth. I found that my meal came out in a timely fashion. I ordered pancakes bacon and scrambled eggs. My food was delicious and was exactly how I ordered it.The ambiance of the restaurant is your typical New York style deli. In the chef case you can buy delicious items to-go such as whitefish salad, various cream cheeses to go with your bagels, egg salad and my favorite their tuna salad! Additionally, you can get traditional blintzes to take home for dessert, and if you havent tried it with the hot cherry sauce youre missing out!Whats great about the Deli News is that you can buy things to-go, fresh sliced meats, cheeses, various salads and fish.I couldnt imagine eating out at any other restaurant for breakfast and for bagels. Stop by and visit, you will feel like youre at home!
