Always find something here and the staff are helpful and attentive. I prefer to shop without help but theyre always so nice anyway (I know its mostly to prevent theft of the many small but pricey items they carry.) I enjoy the variety of items available for different mediums and all of the fun stuff they have that make great gifts like sticker books and novelty pens.

The store is well stocked for most artistic needs from painting to ceramics to modeling wood and much more.I came in just to browse in relation to my wood turning hobby not expecting anything in particular, the impression I got as I walked in was that the prices were going to be high but as I started to look through the shelfs I gladly found out it was a wrong first impression.One of their staff approached me and I started to tell her about my hobby and although they dont carry anything specific for wood turning she gave me several ideas that I now want to explore.Will definitely recommend and will be back for supplies.

I recently moved from Oregon to Texas and my wife and I were pleasantly suprised with this treasure of an art store. Texas Art Supply has a huge selection, affordable pricing, and very helpful staff. Will definitely be coming back for all of our art supply needs.

As far as supplies go, its the GO-To place.. usually all staff is knowledgeable and really courteous!But today I went in and I normally spend a great amount of time and money and today was never so glad to get my mat board and get outta dodge!I was wearing my mask and they acted like they couldnt hear so I grabbed mask and pulled away from my face to tell them again to only get rudely snapped at 2x.. not to mention, acting like they were rushing me away from matting area..( normally put price on wrapped up board but she told me to take it to register.. not seeing my other massa paper, I asked cashier and again somewhat rude.. lady hears me and told me wrapped with it.I had more stuff to purchase, but I got outta there as quick as possible.I guess Ill be buying triple price of matting board at hobby lobby now!A friend was with me also to purchase matting board but after that experience, she changed her mind.

Such a cool place especially for the summer time . Lots of fun activities to do and seems like they have everything for an artist . Really friendly employees . Nice to see this place still around ! Used to come a lot years ago

This amazing art store has an amazing selection of art supplies. It is precisely where you want to go in order to get art supplies for projects. Being right next to baybrook also means youve got plenty of parking to choose from.

Very nice people and had exactly what I needed! There almost isnt an art supply they dont have. They even have small little items that may not be used for art but are quite nice to collect just to have.

Nice supplies. I feel they should instruct employees on etiquette and patience though. My mandatory mask dropped below my nose momentarily and was about to pull it back up before an employee was quick to tell me to put it above my nose. Just relax.

Lots of variety, selection and supplies for all kinds of artistic and crafty projects. I wish they had more stones for carving and material for jewelry making but its a great starting. their selection of books, how tos instruction manuals and other literature and guide books is fantastic

My first time in the store, was immediately followed around and harassed by employees about my mask below my nose. Ignored it the first time thinking they would get the social cue to back off, then a fat man came to ask if I needed help but his only purpose was to enforce their obsessive rules. I told him I had a health condition, but no exceptions I guess. Ive been all over the country and this was the most uncomfortable place Ive ever stepped into. I wish I knew before so I wouldnt of had such a disturbing experience. A sales associates job should not be to policing its customers that are already following the guidelines. Terrible environment. My only memory of this place now is the horrendous policing.

I have bought supplies for my jr high art classes here for 5 years. This was my favorite art store. New covid restrictions keep me from enjoying the same relationship I once had. I am under Drs. orders to not wear a mask. Even though I showed them the prescription, I was not allowed in the store to shop. I had preordered the bulkier items and shipped them in for will call. They had me stay in my truck until they brought them out to me. The ADA office was closed by this time, but I will be filing a complaint online.

Has the art supplies I need. Lots of canvases, pencils, pens, paints of all types. School needs of all levels!!

Great staff. Placed an order and it was at the counter waiting for me. In a rush that day but will definitely be back when I have more time to look around.

I used to love shopping there, until COVID started. Now their most important focus is following customers around, to enforce their mask wearing policy. I mean really, in a building that has 6000 SF of area and there are 3 or 4 customers shopping there. To make an issue out of my mask not covering my nose so I can keep my glasses from fogging is really absurd. Never pulled my mask down except to see through my fogged up glasses to find what I’m looking for. I would think some accommodations would be allowed for people who can’t see through fogged glasses. Common sense is gone in this place. I’m an artist and I’ve been in there twice since COVID and was harassed about how I wore my mask both times. Never have this issue anywhere else I go. Done shopping there.

Great place. Nice artist employees. They even sell Clairefontaine paper and other hard to find French painters paper. French paper is the absolute best without rival.I only wish this store had a high end fountain pen & calligraphy section. Perhaps even antique nibs/pens. I only know of one store in downtown Houston that has such things, but prices are crazy high. So, I go to Texas Art Supply!

Texas art supply staff was extremely rude with facemask protocols and one of the employees actually followed us around the store, very childish and not professional.

Its a very nice store, a bit pricey but its good quality supplies. I like to come here for their wide selection of paint and ink. I will say its a bit odd that its such a bland looking art store, sort of prison esque. Youd think itd be a bit more colorful by now, haha.

As a local artis there are a few places that are known stomping grounds. This has been a staple of mine for 25 years to update my supplies. They always carry the top rate products that can make or break a project. As I have gotten older this has also ventured into several hobbiest activities such as minature paints and crafting supplies. This place has everything as far as art supplies. I mean EVERYTHING. There are business cards taped to the doors with so many art instructors offering their service. I believe there are even classes done on the second floor. The only reason they dont get a High Five is due to them following you around under the guise of helping you find what you need. I aint gonna put it my purse, my MONEY is in there.

Let me start off by saying I have been a patron of this store forever. I am an avid watercolor artist who goes through supplies regularly. The store doesnt seem to generate a lot of buisness so I always made sure to exclusively spend money here when it comes to art supplies. This store is the only local place that carries these recycled notebooks that I adore. I use them for everything. Well, I asked the cashier early today after only purchasing notebooks I asked if they had any folders too. The light brown haired guy behind the register was so rude that I do not know if i will ever return. He verbatim told me, you are better off going to the dollar store. This is an art supply store, not an office max. Unbelievable dude. Im looking to spend money at your establishment and you are going to talk down to me? not cool. Also this person has seen me buy paint supplies here. So all in all. the store has a good selection. I used to adore coming here. But the staff is so rude and patronizing that I will not return.
