Pros: Clean and easily accessible, small neighborhood corner market. Friendly employees and excellent fresh produce. Good deals at the meat counter.Cons: Overall selection can be limited (few or no hygiene items) & some items overpriced for the area.

Neck bones were at a good price

This place change names to LA ESTRELLA, Every time they have sells they put out minimal product out on the floor. Their tactic is to get the customer in the store. They dont do rain checks. Their pricing is compatible with Vons and Savemart, I assure you this is no Vons or Save Mart!!! I personally will never go back.

Nice and very helpful

When I went here for the first time it was a terrible first impression...rite when I open the door it smelled of what I can only describe as dirty dipers...and meat that has been sitting for a while... but I gave it the a try regardless, i wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Even though my family wanted to leave immediately because of the smell. So I got some chicken and taco meat. And guess what no surprised that my family and I got sick the following day.....I will not be returning...only go if you need to. Not trying to be rude or heartless but they need to clean this place up...

I use to love this store when it was country cousins back in the day, but now it is under new ownership and the store is filthy, there are rats, flies on the meat, the meat in the carniceria area is old and adulterated, so it looks like, there are expired items on their shelves, and the the boys off to the side that may be related to the owner are talking smack about you in Arabic, just rude! The health department in Fresno is really slacking, because this store needs to be inspected. I dont care if i never step my foot in there ever again, and if i couldve given them 0 stars i would have.

I use to live down the street and my parents would always come here for groceries. Great customer service and friendly staff. Spacious parking lot as well.

Very good little local neighborhood market! I can always depend on fresh produce & meat! The butcher dudes are ALWAYS cool to me, and helpful! The store carries a fairly good variety of canned goods, cleaning supplies, pet foods, and more! #ShopLocal! :)

Country cousin is another Homegrown establishment thats been around like all of my 54 yrs. And,what I love the most is that if Im short on cash, cant afford a whole package of bacon or sliced cheese or cooked ham, Theyll sell me 2-3slices of each item,their meats are fresh and prices reasonable. Employees are the Best !!

Staff there is friendly, foodIs fresh, meat is fresh, and I dont even live in the neighborhood but catch the bus there just to shop. Its a small neighborhood store but clean. I would invite anyone to make just one visit, sweetie you will be back, because you do feel like Country Cousins.

Great chocolate milk for a great price

Went in to buy some bologna and the butcher did you know what I meant when I asked him what brand of bologna he was selling and then he asked me what do I mean by brand. I dont even think he was a butcher dude just thrown back there cover for somebody. He shouldnt Ive even been back to and then you didnt know what he was doing Valley.

Walking around the store and I saw a rat come running from below the frozen isle. Disgusting store, terrible service. Smells of mold, the only good part is the butchers helpful and kind, but avoid if you dont want food poisoning

Great store been around for years been going there since I was a kid me and my sister is my mom my grandma practically all my family went here and we all know the owners great service great family business go there almost every day and always get great help great service just lovely people and will continue going there

I LOVE their freshly chopped ham & cheese over from the back meat department of theirs that they wrap for you every time. I can literally eat that all day alone by it self as a snack. Any other Oscar Meyer package is just TOO DAMN OILY a lot. It carrys a lot of water. Also,,, I just CANNOT put up w/ the gristles. I dont think I yet to this Very day (8/2/17) have literally found a better ham since here. AND JUST TRUST ME YALL,,, it has been Ages since Ive discovered Country Cousin. This is MY very opinion to the place.

Missed the days when it was Country Cousin, but the new place is okayEdited: there was a child checking people out and the store has a sort of Stale fridge smell to it. One of the refrigerator doors was open and I told the checker and he said We know. Maybe they were airing it out that week? Idk but I Highly Doubt Ill be back.

That short mexican girl really helped me out a lot when I needed help with my WIC and EBT like I pray for her because I do nor know what I would have done without her. But I have to be honest the co-owners are kind of rude.

Shop here for all my life 53years

Its overcrowded. The evening cashier named: Yajaira. Chshier number 5049. Did NOT give me the cigarettes I asked for. I asked for Time 100s. She gave me the short ones. I DO NOT LIKE THE SHORT ONES. THEY BURN UP TOO FAST. I was unaware of the error until I got home. By then the store was closed and I was unable to return them and get the ones I requested to begin with. Also I like a cold Chilada in the evenings and thus far there is no beer in the cold case. Your prices are higher than the other stores in the neighborhood. Another thing is that I was charged $4.68 the first time I bought generic cigarettes there the 2nd time I was charged $4.27 the 3rd time I was charged $3.88 the 4th time I was charged $3.74 after that I have been charged $3.76. The price is NEVER THE SAME. ITS WHATEVER THE CASHIER FEELS LIKE AT THE TIME. IF I could walk the extra 2 blocks I can get my smokes for $3.68!

This was the first time in 20 years that I went into that store. I had what we needed for lunch...

The service was slow. The cashier kept helping other customers while he was trying to complete my transaction. The employee was not able to read or type the information that was written on the paper. I had to literally read each letter by letter so he could type the letters in. Very poor service.

Country cousin foods has reopened 11/25/14 and it will have a grand opening on the 5th of December it would have a lot of specials, and their will be free food and drinks on the 5th starting at 3:00pm. call 251-2600 for more info
