They also gave me a number for towing services as well.They diagnosed the car, was called soon after, i authorized services to be done, and cars problem was fixed IMMEDIATELY.( CAR could take longer if parts are ordered )I will definitely use their services again. I would definitely recommend this place . It was a bit far out from where I was located but my sister recommended it to me and it was worth the drive . They had me in and out with a passing smog certificate shortly after I arrived . The front desk staff are friendly and attentive. The waiting room is clean and spacious . The price was reasonable and the workers seemed to really care about their jobs. Which is an important attribute in a profession where people rely on you to get them safely back on the road .

Did a smog on my car once again took about 6 cars to them for smog smog took about 30-35 min only took that long bc there was a car ahead of me but usually they r quick and do recommend them for smog

Outstanding,I have been looking for a shop sense purchasing my first “08” 3500 Dodge 6.7 diesel truck. I learned of Zarate thru a friend of mine whom owns a 3500 Dodge 6.7 diesel truck and he won’t take his anywhere else. I am very happy with Zarate’s, they will be working on all my cars in the future.

They left my car in an open lot and didnt lock my car doors. About 1000 worth of stuff was stolen out of my trunk. The thing that made it a set up is all the other cars in the lot were locked baring mine. Terrible now in the process of going to small claims court. See you guys there.

Since they have this free 850 government assistance program to fix your car. they charged an arm and leg and they make the decision for you without asking you if you want to do it before hand, plus and additional charges are hidden later! No thanks taking my business somewhere else

I took my Chevy cobalt in to get my heater core changed and they were the cheapest in town and the fastest!! Receptionists were both fast and very friendly and considerate towards every customer. Thank you guys so much for fixing my car!!!I highly recommend this place for your auto repair needs and sales!!!

Need new shocks and decided on a conversion from Air Shock/Ride Suspension System to a conventional Coil Spring HD Shock. Every turned out good with one small hiccup. Apparently the load level termination coils (resistors) didn’t get delivered with the kit to be installed. Now the “Service Suspension System” warning comes on. Frank is aware of the problem and the coils are on order to be installed in a week. Otherwise things are working great. I’d recommend them. They keep their word and deliver.

My 03 Ford Expedition had 4 codes making my vehicle unable to pass smog or run correctly. The lady in the office was very friendly and true to her word. My vehicle runs better than ever.I am more than satisfied with my service and recommend this smog and auto repair shop to anyone struggling mechanically or unable to pass smog.

They are very nice but work the gray area on the pricing I have a written receipt to prove it. I was advised that my total would be $1333.05 and gave a $900 deposit and staff(Vanessa) told me my auto was ready just needed to drive it to make sure it ran good. Two days later I show up and now I was showed a different Repair Order with a higher total owed. I left very angry and very dissatisfied with their unprofessional way of managing their business.

Zarate Smog and Repair is a great repair shop and represents an excellent value.On Saturday afternoon, my wife and I were driving to San Jose from Parlier when our car started losing power and misfiring. We pulled off the highway and did a Google search for auto repair shops. Zarate Smog and Repair was the highest rated shop that was open and was only a mile from us. I called and asked if they could help us, she said come in and they could look at it.Upon arriving, a technician at Zarate Smog and Repair diagnosed the problem area within 5 minutes. He said that the cam position sensor was intermittent, but that it could be a bad sensor, wire, or connector and that he didnt have enough time before closing to trace the root cause. I asked if he had enough time to change the sensor and connector before closing as we didnt want to rent a car or stay in Fresno until Monday.The owner stepped in and said hed try to get the sensor and connector done for us immediately, but couldnt guarantee that the issue would be fixed. We asked him to go for it. The parts arrived and repairs were completed by 3:50 PM - only 40 minutes! The cost was very reasonable. The repairs corrected our issue and we had an uneventful drive home.Everyone at Zarate Smog and Repair were as nice and professional as could be. Also want to note that the customer waiting area was very comfortable with plenty of AC and even the restroom was clean and tastefully decorated.We are extremely glad that Zarate Smog and Repair was there when we needed them!

Had my wife take our 4 runner to them its always passed no problem but they failed it because it had tape on intake hose which has never been a problem and they said gas cap failed which is brand new and has tested again and passed and they said engine is worn out and blowing smoke which is also not the case whatsoever and they said timing was off which it is not it is dead on i think they are crooks and they tried to take advantage of her DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS BUSINESS

I had a very bad experience, I took my car because it did not pass the smog check and they told me that the two catalysts did not work and they charged me too expensive and I decided to take it to another place and there they only told me that it was a single catalyst and they fixed it for me. paying a third of what they charged me there

My husband took my van several times for 2 months in a row and the electric that reviewed it never found the problem, he said that everything was fine we gave it to him after several days and he failed again to take it back and again he did not have anything they gave it to us and to the 3rd. Day I went back to fail and the electric had a week until I got tired and I was x and the electric never knew what my problem had my van but if I ran out of gas I had my van because I was left without gasThen they say they call you and they never called us. It was always my husband who went after them to know that I had my car and they could never fix it until I took it to another mechanic.Very bad electricos has that place.
