Didnt like the tea, all of the drinks in our order was not very flavorful. Taro MT had powdery texture for some reason. Maybe it was an off day, but Im not sure I would return, especially when there are so many other milk tea options. Oh well.
I went in because they have free mochi donut for showing vaccine record this weekend. Cannot tell if the lady works for FTB or mochiholics who showed a lot of attitude on me for arriving two minutes early.
I came to Factory Tea Bar for the first time today. I had ordered a rose black milk tea online and surprisingly, the drink was ready within 5-7 minutes. I followed the drink suggestion and got 50% sugar - it was perfect and pretty rosy! Minus one star because the young woman at the front appeared to be in a miserable mood. Hope her day gets better.
Delicious mochi donuts! Boba was a nice complement.
I went to this shop based on the reviews. I am utterly disappointed. My tea was disgusting: I paid extra for lychee jelly and didn’t get it. I ended up throwing the whole thing in trash.Ps. They were busy setting up for Yelp event instead of helping customers
Great selection hot and cold tea. Convenient and lots of parking all the time.
Tea was so disgusting and tasted like water even though I ordered 50% sweetness. I only went for the mochi donuts and apparently they stop selling them at 7:45 huge disappointment…
Havent been here yet but the reviews seem rather mixed, Ill leave a follow up review once I go 5 stars for the pictures!
Very disappointing milk tea, and it costs $5! Im not used to paying that much and with all the competition in the area I really do not see this place doing well. The taro boba tea tasted watered down and was not very flavorful. The boba was cooked properly and tasted good. The atmosphere seems nice and they have board games. Honestly I didnt even see the other side of the menu to know they had food but it looks priced well. They didnt really recommend anything or say anything to us. I just know that I can get better milk tea at T4 for cheaper. I also recommend Teaspoon if you love taro like we do.
This place was awesome. I was already interested in getting Mochi donuts and the location was shared with their business Mochiholic. Atmosphere was excellent, employees were incredibly helpful and the drink I purchased was off the rails amazing!Seriously, if you need a suggestion try out the Dirty Nom Nom with Boba; the brown sugar mixed drink was amazing.Keep up the excellent work Factory Tea Bar, Ill be stopping by often for now on!
Good boba
Good place to get drinks, but have to double check your order before you leave. Found out a few times after I get home that they forgot boba or other toppings. Not worth going back to get the drinks fixed, but still a bummer when you have been looking forward to boba.
Unbelievably slow service. Expensive but average quality milk tea. Don’t waste your time and money at this mediocre shop. We wait for 20 minutes for our milk tea. The place isn’t even busy. Not coming back.
We were hoping for a nice almond milk boba after our hike up Mission Peak. We ordered 25% sugar, no ice, double boba, almond milk tea. Man, the drink was still super sweet, even the boba itself tasted as sweet as candy. Couldnt drink it. $13 wasted for two teas...
We come here so often and it’s so good!
I definitely enjoyed the dirty milk boba drink I got. I also got popcorn chicken and felt the texture and spices were good, except some pieces were salty.
Great bubble tea. Nice hangout space with different board games. They have live performances and cross events with small businesses in the area from time to time!
Best boba in east bay
Good tea
My card was falsely charged here scammers
Such a great milk tea spot! Friendly staff and great drinks. Unfortunately not a lot of room to sit, but its ok I normally get my drinks to go anyways. Will be back again!
No mochi donuts. No one was by the kiosks to assist. Place looked not clean. Yeah I would go here
The atmosphere here is a bit industrial feeling, not the coziest, but the board and card games are a nice addition. They seem to really base the flavor of their teas on the sweetness. My friend had a very sweet milk tea at only 50% sweetness and my unsweetened hot tea was not good at all. I was disappointed I was unable to get a flavored fruit tea without extra added sugar, I have not been told at other tea shops that, that is not possible. Lots of young people looked like they were having a good time here but I wont be returning.
Pretty close to the socal location (artwork and drink selection), but place is much brighter. Has a decent selection and its made like they have the same recipe too. Interesting that they have open mic night, about $1000 worth of board games, and couches to chill on.
Bad professionalism. They have been very late last two orders, and last order forgot part of the order, and didnt even apologize when I came back to pick it up
I was very hopeful when I discovered this new place in the Warm Springs Area. Friendly to groups and families. However, there are no non-dairy options for their popular teas unlike many tea places, and my tea with added taro was not tasty at all-chunks of taro that were hard did not taste like taro. To be fair, it was only my first visit ordering just one drink. With the price, I believe the place can do better.
Good boba, pricier than most boba places but there are lots of options
This is one of the few places open after midnight and we came in rather late into the night. The ambiance is industrial and modern, with some nice seating areas. The place seemed popular with the younger crowd. The customer service was friendly and inviting, which was greatly appreciated. We ordered about 5 items and the total came to $30. Most of what was on the menu would not suffice as a meal but rather are snack foods, with pot stickers, popcorn chicken, french fries and other items. The reason for the 3-star rating relates to the cost of the food, which was unusually high for snack items and some food items were not especially appetizing, particularly the fried fish, which was insulting for the price and french fries, which were excessively spiced.
I 💖 FTB, they have a multicultural fusion style and atmosphere‘ while welcoming. The staff always greet me cheerfully with a warm smile! They have couches with nice long coffee tables suitable for medium sized groups (great for Cards Against Humanity, We Didnt Play Test This At All, Apples to Apples, and similar games). You will find small tables great for a light chat, or heads down computing; additionally large tables suitable for board gaming. They play music videos, this can be distracting at times. They also have live performance equipment.---Food is excellent, mostly snacks and light entrees; the Carolina reaper chicken is amazing (though very hot). Ive enjoyed a few of their other snacks as well.Every drink Ive gotten has been very good. Beware many are very sweet.---Despite the welcoming environment; Ive found it difficult to socialize at FTB, the crowd seems to be mostly cliches of friends. *I do tend to be antisocial; Id like to change that.---Five stars: I hope to organize a pick-up game of Cosmic Encounters there soon.
Very hip place. Not only great teas, but also awesome entertainment nights. Check this place out. Highly recommend!
I used to visit a Factory Tea Bar location in SoCal when I was in school, so I was pretty excited when they opened in Fremont. The location is perfect for its target demographic. Its tucked inside a shopping plaza, so theres plenty of parking. The space is pretty large, making it perfect to hang out and study. They have a bunch of board games sitting on the shelves too if you need some entertainment. Their drinks tend to be a bit sweeter, so get 1/4 or 1/2 sweet. Get the cajun fries, popcorn chicken, and chicken wings too! The brick toasts are great for dessert.
Chill vibe and good boba. Black Oohlong sans sugar. mmmm.
This place is great, friendly staff, and I love the Brown Sugar Milk Tea, just be sure to get it 50% sweet...
Great staff would go bat and try more of their selections
The tea is always good. The kids who run the counter and make the tea are always kind. Weve never had to wait long for our teas either.
The tea was meh. Tried the oreo milk tea as well as their “factory” milk tea with coffee jelly—oreo milk tea was bland and had weak tea flavor, and the factory milk tea with coffee jelly had a weird tangy flavor, was overly sweet, and had a very weak tea flavor as well. The popcorn chicken was OK but pretty spicy even though we asked for mild. Overall, not a terrible experience, especially since staff was friendly, but the bay area is not the right place to be anything but authentic and delicious when it comes to milk tea.
Fantastic atmosphere and lovely employees, with plenty of unique flavor options. The default amount of sugar is a bit high, but they do allow you to adjust it.
I love this place for the board games and food. One of the few options to hang out later in South Fremont. The drinks are okay.A note about the sugar levels: FTB definitely errs on being sweet, so I go for 25%, which I honestly think is like 75% at places like Gong Cha (give or take).
I heard FTB was originally from SoCal, so pretty exciting to have another SoCal based boba shop up here! I love coming here whenever Im in the area, itd be my go-to boba shop if Im around. My order sometimes changes where Ill be getting their Strawberry Matcha Latte, Nom Nom Green Tea, basically tried mostly all of their Fruit flavored green teas, and I havent been disappointed! You can adjust their sugar levels, I usually get mine the minimum sugar amount so it wont be overly sweet for my taste. The strawberry matcha latte is tricky, if you want less sugar then they would put in less strawberry base.Ive also ordered their popcorn chicken (spiciest level) and it was pretty good! The only complaint Id say is that the portioning is inconsistent. Ive went once where the box was filled with PC, but the second time it was kind of skimpy...it was waay below the box line inside and wasnt worth paying $6.50 for it. So the third time, I did mention that the portion Ive received before was inconsistent.. and the cashier said there is a weight limit (i dont remember how much he said) but thats what theyre supposed to follow. And he gave me my PC, and it still seemed skimpy but I realized all 3 times, I received 3 different portion sizes.. it makes me kind of iffy if I ever want to buy it again.
Love the wings and cajun fries! I got the factory milk tea and it was amazing! Love the service too
Nice place to hangout with friends, lots of boardgames provided. Drinks are a little bit too sweet in general.
They ok. Tea is decent quality, their popcorn chicken was p good. Interior is comfy. Kinda pricey for what it is tho imo. Theyre open kinda late which is cool for Fremont. I miss Tea Papa tho.
Great snacks, there boba selection is great, they even teamed up with an ice cream vendor who was outside, and had an open mic night going on.
* Went on 9/14 Saturday - there was an event going on that weekend to celebrate a kpop guys birthday so it was more crowded than normal[ SERVICE ]- If FTB was expecting an influx of patrons, please scale the staff accordingly. It took us 30 minutes to finally get to the front of the cashier and order our drink- The cashier was placing the stickers on the cups as each order was being placed. Im assuming the stickers arent pre-placed for sanitary reasons- There was a huge line, and only 1 staff member making drinks[ DRINKS ]+ Flavor for the milk teas were pretty good. My preference: ask for 25% (or less) sweet[ AMBIANCE ]+ Plenty of seating, couches, tables, board games
This was my first time visiting FTB. The staff who tended my order was friendly and offered me a sample of the coffee gelly when I was curious about that. Cool place to hang out with board games and couches. Would be great if they can offer additional sizes.
Great place to get boba and hang out with friends while playing some of the provided board games
They have boba for 2.50$ after 10 pm on weekdays, which is awesome! Loved the tea... The boba was a little too hard though... Will try it one more time!
Its a casual cafe to hangout, study or work. Tried the Mom Nom Milk with Pudding & Boba. Liked it.
This boboa place is so amazingly delicious 🤤!I recommend the nom nom milk tea and black milk tea! The sugar high here so I recommend 50% sugar and less ice. The less ice the more boboa you get 😉
We waited for 30m and found out that they forgot to make our order! 😡What’s even worse is that they asked us to wait in the line again to get refund!
Ive always been a fan of FTB since I first had them back in LA. Once I heard that they were opening one in Fremont, I had to give them a try. The place is super nice and clean, I love the fact that they make their own boba and its so good. I also had a chance to meet the owners and his staff and everyone is super nice and friendly. I am now their loyal customer and will refer FTB to everyone.
We went here on the recommendation of a friend of a friend. . . And they didnt have BOBA and it would be an HOUR wait. . . It was 130pm on a Sunday afternoon. . .they also didnt say anything until we started ordering even though we had several questions prior to that. We ordered a green tea milk tea which they did say had hints of caramel and brown sugar. . .well even at 50% sugar (I had ordered 75% but they neglected to mention they only do 0-50-100% and automatically gave me 50%) ALL we tasted was the caramel and brown sugar - no green tea taste or at the very most there was only a HINT of green tea. I think the place was too fancy for me. . .and failed because of the lack of BOBA. We wont be going back.
This is one of my go-to boba spots. The smoothies are my favorites. I like the selection & quality of the toppings, specifically: agar/crystal boba, coffee jelly & lychee jelly. You can also get discounted drinks during happy hour & during the last hour before they close.
One of the better boba places in Bay Area
Tea is all one size, ala ShareTea. The basic teas, like green apple and mango, all have bits of the actual fruit floating around, which makes for a great set of drinks. Drinks are quality. The ambiance is amazing. If you guys are interested in hip hop and love ratty, lowkey industrial scenes, youll be visiting Factory Tea Bar every week. The art is very strange, yet captivating. There are plenty of tables and even couches. What separates Factory Tea Bar from other tea places is the seating. The staff sets up seats right next to the line, so there is much more seating here than any other tea place Ive visited.Food is food too, they love to make it spicy. Overall great place, I come by often.
They had high price, I sent my teen daughter to buy the tea but the barista seemed not to care...I would rather recommend goncha or one tea where they are friendly or have low prices.
Very nice placeI enjoyed both the tea and the popcorn chicken
Finally decided to try this place for the first time! I had the Kiwi Strawberry Black Tea (50% sweet w less ice) and I also tried the Nom Nom Green Tea (50% sweet w less ice) and they both were really good. My Barista, I think her name is Michelle, was really helpful and kind when it came to helping me choose my drinks alongside w answering all my questions about the drinks in accommodation to my preferences. She is also v cute and I would like to get her number, hopefully she reads this :)
FTB is so yummy! Staff are always nice and drinks Are delicious.
Good boba spot near my house
Made us wait 30 mins for our order and they were not even making it
Better than the slave shop I work at🏷
Came here for some tea drink and box toast for dessert after dinner at Little Dipper. I tried several non-milk tea drinks and I havent found what I really liked yet.The good thing about this place is that they offer:Larger tables to accommodate larger groupsBoard and card games (apples to apples, cards gainst humanity, etc)Free wifiThe front part of the shop tends to get pretty busy during night time. You will have to wait for seating after around 8 pm.The ice cream that comes with the bread is really good! Perfect to share with 3 or 4 people. The place could do better with feeling cozier and giving a warmer ambience. Drinks are also on the more expensive side ($4-5).
I enjoy the nom nom green milk tea and the grapefruit gaava drink here.
The food tastes average, the portions are far too big and sugary, and the decorations are inappropriate
Factory Tea Bar is one my favorite places in socal so Im beyond excited that they opened a new location in the bay area sooo close to me :)In an area so densely populated with boba/milk tea/bubble tea (whatever you want to call it), why bother checking this place out?1. They have 2 signature drinks which is their Factory Tea Bar (FTB) milk tea and their Nom Nom milk tea. The FTB milk tea is their spin on the classic black milk tea with notes of spices and the black tea is strong with a good balance of milkiness. In contrast, their Nom Nom milk tea is much sweeter with a green tea base, a stronger milkier taste, and caramel notes. I personally love their FTB milk tea since it has a unique taste.** I always get my drinks at 50% sugar so this is based on 50% sugar level which I found to be a good level of sugar for people who dont like super sweet things.2. BOBA (aka tapioca balls). By far the best boba in the area because their boba is actually soft and chewy. It also tastes like they flavor the boba with honey so thats also another plus, the boba isnt flavorless.3. Finally a lounge worthy place. Its hard to find a boba place with actual group seating. In the area, your best bet is T4 but theyre more outfitted with tables as opposed to couches. The LA locations of FTB all have couch seating area and Im glad that this one followed suit :)Theyre still pretty new so theyre still figuring some things out. Service might be a little spotty (due to the staff being new) but the staff is friendly and eager. Im excited to come back and see them continually improve.
Interesting options to try out.
Tea isnt that good, will go back to Happy Lemon.
Popcorn chicken and milk tea not good. Free board game is the only reason to be here
Has an old tea taste
I love the thai Ice tea
Stays open till late hrs but did not like it much
Employees are horrible and entered orders wrong then proceeded to argue about it.
First time here for a get together with car club AGSV.
Great drinks and atmosphere
They have more opitions.
Nice sitting area
Try the popcorn chicken!
Okay types
