Zero stars not an option... went to look at 2019 F250 and they offered $8,000 for our trade. Bank said it’s too low. Went to two other Ford dealers just to see what their opinion was. One offered $18,000 and other offered $18,500. Sure glad this didn’t work out.. I LOVE my brand new 2020 F350!!!!
I recently purchased an F150 with the help of salesman Tim Harmon through Advantage Ford. Being a non resident of the state, my timeline to search for a vehicle was tight. Tim went out of his way on multiple occasions to help accommodate that this included meeting outside of business hours on a few occasions. The sale was easy and extremely low pressure. Overall a great experience.

Took a vehicle in for an airbag light and it cost me $50 for them to claim that the part was discontinued by Ford and completely unavailable. Made the 15 minute drive up to Port Clinton Ford and had the problem fixed without a hitch. Never again.

Customer service is excellent ... a month ago or so, our daughter was planning a trip out of state and had her car for serviced near Cleveland. The following day she dropped her cat with her mom and i before heading out. While in Fremont she noticed a noise coming from under her car which turned out to be a shield that had lost a few of the bolts that secured it. This was going to cause her to delay her trip by at least a day until we took the car into Advantage first thing the next morning and they were able to correct the issue. The time at the dealership was no more than 30 minutes. This allowed her to leave only a couple hours behind her planned departure time with confidence that she was in a safe vehicle. I would like to thank both John and the technician who assisted us. We will keep coming back!
Salesman Tim Harmon was most courteous and helpful in finding us just what we wanted. He went out of his way to locate the right vehicle and arrange financing for us. While purchasing a car, everyone I dealt with was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I did walk in already knowing what I wanted but the process was fairly quick and there was no high pressure sales pitch that would normally turn me off to the whole situation.

Our experience with the staff at Advantage Ford was wonderful, very professional and welcoming, making us feel very comfortable. It would be helpful when attempting to call into the dealership if there was better communication among the different areas. When my husband attempted to call in the first time his call was for the used car department and for some reason the receiver was just either laid down or held as all he got was other folks talking among themselves, so he hung up and called a different number and got better results. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.

Worst experience ever. And I dont say that lightly.We took our truck in for some preventive maintenance and after they finished it wouldnt run without shaking badly. We called them because we thought they had not out it back together correctly and they took it back apart and couldnt find an issue. Kept saying there was no problem. We had the truck there off and on for about month and a half. Three times we had to take it in because we found stuff they didnt put back on. Bolts that werent tightened or tools that were left to sit in the engine compartment. It was a horrible, sloppy mess and Im surprised they are allowed to call themselves certified mechanics.By the end of the month, they kept maintaining that they didnt see a problem and nothing was wrong and they couldnt get it to act up. We took it to a mechanic who used to be a Ford mechanic, but he quit because he said the dealers were ripping people off and slighting the customers and he didnt want to be apart of that.. well he figured it out in 15 minutes. Before he even test drove it he told us what he thought it could be and sure enough after he test drove it, he had the problem narrowed down. Fixed the truck.The mechanics at this ford dealer are lazy and unqualified to be working of vehicles. They tried getting us to do a bunch of work that we had already done and never ended up solving any issues. Dont take your vehicles here. Worst experience ever.
I went in there to get my air bag replaced due to a recall..they were nice,fast,an efficient.they told me it would take45min.guess what...45 minutes later i was out the door.plus they washed my vehicle for me.great job Advantage Ford
I cant rate them zero stars.While driving a car home, that their mechanics had checked over, the oil pressure light came on. I immediately stopped driving shut off car. Limp it back to them. I believe they completely lied to my face by saying they checked oil pressure. They said was just the oil pressure switch, can sometimes be the issue, they changed the switch and oil and car was good to go. Not long after that the engine is blown.NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a car or have service done by these scam artists.

I have been dealing with Kelly Belcher for years. Leased and purchased many vehicles from Advantage Ford with no problems. I made a HUGE mistake by buying a Toyota from a Sandusky dealer a few years ago. The salesman was caught lying to me on numerous issues and I received zero help from the sales manager. I will buy local from people I know from now on.

On my way from Philadelphia, PA to Cheyenne, Wy In February I had the misfortune to break down on I-90 at 1:00 am. I had the tow truck driver take me to the nearest Ford dealer (Advantage Ford). The folks in the service dept looked at my 2008 Mountaineer as soon as they opened. By 10:30 they told me I had major transmission damage from towing a travel trailer with the over drive on. I talked to the sales dept about a good used pick up truck. They sold me a great 2009 F-150 pick up.I am a retired auto mechanic. I have seen both good and bad car dealers. The folks at Advantage Ford could not have treated me nicer. Here I was a traveler unknown to them. A lot of dealers might have cheated me knowing they would never see me again. Advantage treated me fairly friendly and promptly. They worked with MY bank in Pennsylvania and got me a great interest rate to buy the truck. My family and I drove from northern Michigan back to our home in Virginia yesterday (12-28-2015) after a wonderful Christmas holiday with family. About ten miles before Fremont, OH, the front wheels of our Honda Odyssey minivan started vibrating -- first a bit, then to a point where it was clearly unsafe to continue our drive -- especially in poor driving conditions. My young family (twin 7 year old girls & a 4 year old boy) were already worn out from the holiday activities, and it looked almost certain that we would be hanging out in Fremont for a day or two.My wife and I had never been to Fremont, a fairly small town (~16k people) off of I-80, and it was likely that the service stations and availability would be very limited at 4 PM. I saw Advantage Ford Lincoln off of the main drag, and asked my wife to pull in, even though we were driving a Honda. It was pouring rain, cold and dark by then, and I ran into the dealership hoping that they could at least direct me somewhere to diagnose and repair the van. Boy, was I in for a surprise.I initially spoke to a nice gentleman on the showroom floor, who was already in the middle of dealing with a customer when I popped in out of the rain. After explaining the situation, he brought me back to the service department where I met John McGlynn, Bob Joseph and Steve. With the baton passed, I explained to those folks what our issue was and that my family was outside waiting in the car.Without hesitation, they said to bring the car inside so that the kids and our crazy rat terrier, Max, would not have to walk through the cold rain. All of these folks were so nice to my family. The kids got set up with popcorn in the waiting room, and Kelly Henderson (Parts Department) hooked Max up with several dog treats. The kids were relaxed, and walked around the showroom looking at the new models of Fords.In the meantime, Steve, the service technician, explained exactly what he was going to look at to diagnose the issue. This young man was extremely professional, light-hearted, and inspired confidence, which removed the stress from the situation. In less than 45 minutes, the tires were rebalanced (they were way off), filled properly with air, and part of a mud guard that was wrecked and generating noise was removed from the undercarriage.When it came to to settle up with the bill, they said that there was no charge. I asked again to check if I had heard correctly, and they said it was their pleasure to help out me and my family. I couldnt believe it. There was probably zero chance that we would ever be back to Fremont, OH, and we didnt even have a Ford vehicle. I would have gladly paid hundreds of dollars for them to even get it up on a stand and diagnose the problem.I am sure that I am forgetting a few names here, and I am sorry for that. All of the folks at this dealership helped out my family late in the work day, and I am very thankful to all of you. Im not sure what the deal is with the other negative reviews, but these folks saved us a lot of trouble and refused any payment for their services. When you are getting ready to make a big purchase like a new car, trust is very important. If we lived in Ohio, I would be buying my cars at Advantage Ford Lincoln in Fremont.
Terrible vehicles, we bought our two vehicles from them. The first vehicle was a Ford edge, it needed major work done, about $3,500 worth of underbody work a year after purchasing. This was among about $2,000 of other repairs that was done before that major underbody work. We traded the vehicle in before having to do the major work. Yes to this same dealership. We then purchase a 2011 ford explorer two years ago and we have put in roughly $5,000 worth of work and now we are getting another $1,500 worth of work in two weeks. This vehicle is only 7 years old!! Two months after purchasing it we had to replace an engine cooling fan that left us stranded in Columbus with a 3 month old child and no where to go. This explorer was nearly $55,000 new, we paid $25,000 for it. A $55,000 vehicle should not have this many issues 7 years later. These people are something, seems like they bandage up their used vehicles to last a little bit and they say screw the customer when their vehicle has issues. They also didnt get the contract right when we purchased it. We were suppose to get a camper hitch and wiring but ended up getting a hitch and wiring for a pop up camper. They took the cheaper way out and took advantage of us because our infant was acting up and crying loudly. Seems like they slipped it in knowing it would save them money. Do not go here if you need a good running car! Now we have a $15,000 pile a junk that is costing us more money than what its worth. They only care about their pockets and not their customers. Turn over rate here is high, always someone new working. Tried to call and explain and they said sorry you have no warranty on a used vehicle you will have to pay out of pocket. Theres nothing we can do. Nothing you can do? You sold the junk vehicles. Even our repair company told us we needed to get rid of these vehicle and go after this dealership. We have all repairs noted with the repair shop and they are completely dumb founded with the amount of repairs that have been done.

Im giving Advantage 3 stars because Id like to give it a 5 and 1 for two separate reasons. The 5 would be because I went in there to get a car I wanted for the price I wanted and they really did make that happen and they even stayed late for me to come back and sign the paperwork as I had somewhere to go. However, AFTER I got the car I found several issues that either were known and not mentioned or came up within 2 months of buying it and I only got a little help with fixing each after admittedly throwing a fit. There is a gauge in the front bumper they neglected to point out or put on the paper work under the physical condition but admitted to knowing about the next day. In the first 2 months I had to take it in 4 times for 2 recalls. Then theres the fact that in less than 2 months my tires were so dryrotted that it was sitting on the rims in my garage when I went to go to work in the morning. They ended up paying for half of my new tires after I pointed out that the tires were new when they sold it to me but certainly didnt get in that shape in less than 2 months.. Even that I had to argue over several phone calls. I really doubt Ill ever go back there, it was a mistake.

They ordered a part and never scheduled an installation of the part on my truck. Service department was very unhelpful and rude. Ended up taking the part to another shop because by that time they were already going on 2 weeks! Would not suggest this place to any ford owner.
I just recently leased an F 150 XLT from Advantage Ford in Fremont, Ohio. Im very excited about this truck as its the first brand new automobile that I have ever purchased. I had looked around Fremont at different dealers, scoping out the trucks and what they had and had my wife with me while going through the Ford dealer. I was looking for a 4 door short bed truck and my wife was attracted to a brownish colored one in the lot, we looked it over and decide we would check it. Monday I went in and met with TIM HARMANN, Tim sat me down and walked me through the leasing in&outs and worked up a price for the said truck. No high pressure very comfortable and informative meeting with him, I advised him I wanted to check around with other dealers before making my decision. I checked around and found that nobody could come close to the deal Tim had worked up for me, we went back test drove the vehicle, decide it was the one for us and had Tim draw up the paperwork. I want to say Thanks to Tim and Advantage Ford, I appreciate the way I was explained the entire program, the features and options on the truck were gone over by Tim and the Staff was great to deal with also. A JOB WELL DONE . . .
