Awesome place to sit and relax and have coffee that is also in Freeport. Friendly staff and the cook is very great at the cheeseburgers here. ****** better then any Mcdonalds,The staff talks to you here where at Mcdonalds they dont really care. I have been going to voices for years and I love it. I love that it benefits voices and I love books. But Friday the 10 my daughter and I went in the afternoon to look for books. My son collects Stephen king and I found 4 of them for him plus some others for myself and my daughter. As I was checking out I noticed the volunteer was reading a religious book. I didnt think anything of it, I dont judge what others choose to read or believe but then the volunteer said very rudely enjoy your Stephen king books with a rude judgemental look on her face. I thought the point was to sell books for the abused womens shelter. I hope I never make anyone feel judged for what they choose to read.

Voices Book Nook is a huge, neatly organized used-bookstore located in the old Lincoln Mall. An ever-evolving collection of all general book types including childrens, large-print, and local history. Nice staff to. Fun place to get lost for an hour or two.

Every year I have my grandkids pick out books for Christmas. This yrs while we were taking the 2 youngest granddaughters to see SantaClaus we seen the voices book store. The grandkids had a great time looking and finding books that they were interested in reading. The ladies were great with helping them find what they were looking for . We left there with alot of books and great experience and we will be going back there again. Thank you for all the help .
