Had a great late night experience at this store. When you go in the middle of the night no one is there, so you can shop and look around at all the wonderful things with no issues. I had to come back the next morning to be a shotgun, but even that was a nice easy experience. All can say is I’m glad I don’t live closer to this store, because if I did I would be broke lol…

The staff was friendly and helpful. The store was very clean and organized. They have everything you need for outdoor activities. The prices were expensive but the warranty on everything is great. The quality of their products are great. I got a backpack and love it.

I think the kids got the most enjoyment out of this flagship store. Everyone loved taking pictures with the big boot. The aquarium as well as kids treehouse, and chalk wall provided some entertainment for the kids while the parents took turns browsing. Tons of items to see. The option to custom embroider bags was a nice touch. Although I didnt personally eat there, theres also a cafe inside. Depending on the time of day, it does get pretty crowded, but theyre keen 24/7 so its worth going outside of peak hours!

If you like their wares, great place to browse. Dont expect any great deals though -- tends towards higher price with better quality. Cafe served nice soup and sandwiches on the porch for lunch.As a special event they were making smores on the plaza.

Large store, great selection of clothes. Good quality. Staff is friendly and helpful. One downside is the huge checkout line you have to wait in since there is only one line for the entire store. Thankfully there are many cashiers, but the line still takes awhile.

Quite an impressive complex of stores for sure! We wandered around the main retail store. Had a great selection of clothes. Prices were as expected. Nearby there was the hunting store, bike store and home store too but we didn’t check them out. Definitely the place to go if looking for some LL Bean!

This is the biggest L.L. Bean store I have ever seen! It is similar to a Bass Pro Shop, in my option. BUT, with saying that, this place is much better! This store is open 24/7 and has tons of things to see inside, such as a huge fish tank and lots of camping supplies (all set up). Highly recommend to go at night, it’s all quiet and really fun to explore.September 3, 2021

Awesome campus. Tons of great products from outdoor sports to home furnishings.The staff are incredibly helpful. And if you like to browse, this place will keep you occupied for hours.There are tons of parking spaces and even some cool restaurants/cafes right on site so that is nice if you want to take a break before you get back to shopping.If nothing else, stop by to see the big Bean Boot!!

Theyre open 24 bours right now!! I had no idea! I got my plaid hood robe,Scotch plaid Jammie and the black cat slippers! Super comfy and looks absolutely adorable and is super cozy! The associates are all very helpful and nice!!

Whats not to love about L.L. Bean! Great customer service both during and after the sale. When they say they guarantee their products, they arent kidding! The flagship store in Freeport Maine is wonderful to visit to see the taxidermy, aquarium and artifacts of the Bean family. If you cant visit in person, they catalog and website offer the same amazing selections as in store with the same amazing customer service and quality we have come to know from this company.

We took the time to walk around to all the different stores. It is quite something for sure. I dont really buy from them because where I live I dont need their items or their prices BUT I needed a new bathroom bag for travel and my mom had bought hers there & loved it so we stopped in & got 1 for me. I do love it. The shops were all busy and their check outs were not great but they did move at a fairly decent pace.

I came here last summer and enjoyed shopping at the Flagship store.They have a large selection of items across several stores on the property. The staff was very friendly and gave me great information about the type of boots I should buy in the main store.Definitely worth stopping by if you are in Maine!

The original store. An excellent place to visit even if you are not shopping but of course, once inside, you will not leave empty-handed. This place is vast and spread across several buildings, a shopping mall unto itself. Plan to spend a few hours here. Great for kids as there is much to see and do. We enjoyed our time there exploring many of the displays and picking up a few things.

The store is awesome! It is huge with lots of selection and plenty of staff to help out. They had 9 checkout stands getting us out quickly. Their cafe is great too! However, their computers seem to be old and took way to long to boot up - I wanted to see if they had a different size available and couldnt figure out due to old system. We ended up spending around 2 hours in the store with everyone in our party finding something they liked and wanted.

This place is so cool because not only is the main L.L. Bean store but it’s like a museum for free and you get to see so many things like fish and taxidermy animals. If you’ve never been, go! They have great sales compared to outlets and normal stores.

Been coming here for 36+ years. They have stuffed moose, a BOOTmobile and live trout. And tons of great stuff. Plus they are open 24/7/365. Theres nothing not to like. Its an experience you should not miss.

Such a huge LL Bean shop! Staff is super helpful and there’s such a huge collection of items to choose from. Items are expensive but quality is always awesome. Nice place to browse through if you’re in Maine. There’s also the LL bean outlet store a couple blocks away you can visit too if you’re looking for some good deals

Some hard core ll Bean this trip is a mustThe experience is not the same as it was in the 60s, when it was a trip to Mecca after serious study of all the catalogs that were always arriving in our mailbox.Imagine a store that carried it all and a lot of stuff was ON SALE!It was and is a great shopping experience. Quality merchandise and excellent service.

Noted the ample parking at this landmark for Maine visitors. The retail operation proved both huge and interesting on many levels.The staff gave excellent service throughout the complex. We did stop by the 1912 Cafe for lunch and enjoyed an excellent salad.We did find several items we couldnt resist and took pictures of items we may purchase later. This was our Maine trip of the day.

A wide selection of offerings from LL Bean and other brands. Very big and spacious. Store associates are helpful and friendly. They do a good job with hand sanitizer and COVID-19 protocols also.

Its a literal campus of buildings, including outdoor sports equipment, clothing, home goods, etc..., a green quad area (featuring cornhole and other activities in the summer), and even a lobster shack. And the outlet is right across the street! Only down side is that sometimes its hard to find help since its so busy and vast.

L.L. Bean is a huge outdoor enthusiasts dream come true to purchase all things outdoor related. There clothing is top of the line and very durable. There famous bean boots are both iconic and practical. They have a huge selection of firearms, camping gear and equipment, fishing gear, hunting gear, food preservation equipment and hiking supplies. The prices of things in the store are kind of high but your paying for quality. Buy quality once. The store is a great place to bring the kids do to all the awesome displays they have. There is a lot of taxidermy on display and even live fish ponds. If you havent been to L.L.Bean while your in maine .... you should have. Go early.. in the morning before the crowds. Campus (yes, it is a campus) is wonderfully done. Are their products good? Yes, I own clothes & coats & few household items. They will last.. My only issue is pricing, items are pricey. If you can afford it, then all is golden. Or try their sales or online store for more discounts.

Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. Very knowledgeable of products. Store was very well organized and relatively well stocked. Some sizes of clothing were missing but a staff member offered to look in the storeroom. Items were well displayed and product quality is always too notch. Many new styles and fabric choices were comfort based. Fun place for kids as well with fish tank and trout pond in the store.

Everything I looked at was made in China or Vietnam. Come on now LLbean you know better! Please try to find a way to make your products anywhere but China for a few really good reasons from quality of the product to basic human rights and many more.

We never miss when were in Maine. This time we bought clothing, flannel sheets, and Lobster Rolls!

It was everything I imagined, everything in the catalog was right there. I enjoyed seeing a lot of items Ive seen in the catalog.

We only stopped here to grab some coffee, but ended up getting breakfast sandwiches as well. You will not find a friendlier staff anywhere. Each person we encountered was an absolute delight. Oh, and the food and coffee was pretty darn good. Make sure you get your picture taken next to the giant boot.

This place is neato, and really mature fashion for those looking to dress discrete. Cool stuff all over the store. Especially if youre wanting to throw money at outdoorsy stuff to feel like youre living the outdoor life. Super cool dudes there, and the jeans have different names but are all the same.

My husband had an awesome experience with buying his Bean boots...salesman was helpful and went beyond...I had a different experience with buying my Bean boots...the women ignored me for minutes and were not helpful. Handed me the boots and walked away. Im also going to add, it was hard to tell who actually worked there.

L.L. Bean is impressive and actually had clothes in my size which is rare. Beautiful store and friendly and professional staff. Kind of reminds me of the old department stores when I was a kid. Purchased a winter coat to stay warm in Maine.

I was heading to Baxter State Park and needed a couple things, so I decided to make a stop here. Of course they had what I needed, their selection of outdoor gear is impressive. I ended up wandering around for a bit, browsing...glad I did, they have an expansive array of items. I should note they have more than one building, I only went into the retail building. I also saw a fishing and hunting building, and a home building. LL Bean is synonymous with Maine, so if youre anywhere near this place...check it out!

Ive been to a couple of LL Bean stores in CT and MA, but this one obviously takes the cake. Its almost like a Cabelas inside. Sales racks had some good deals. Whole place was clean, and they did a very good job with making sure everyone kept their distance. Great place(s) to stop if youre in the area!

Massive L.L. Bean store. Like those other mega outdoor retail stores, but more like a campus of stores. One huge building that connects, then separate stores/buildings for the other departments.

Always a adventure here and maybe a good buy on a product. Clothing a bit dated. Needed a younger, fresher look for clothing.

We cruised the front porch store with plenty of outdoor furniture. Sat in lots of chairs for fit and comfort. The atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. But my all time favorite is the outlet store across the road for all the great bargains. Rarely do I leave without a purchase on a great deal.

One of the best stores Ive ever seen in my life. This is one of the best examples of how capitalism works great. They built up a small area with an aquarium, animal museum, and just facts about how their company got started, but not in a flashy way. Its all hidden and you can seek that information out. Everything was super clean and nothing seemed out of place. The employees looked super happy and friendly and not one looked disgruntled. We stopped and chatted with a few to see what the deal was and some were doing it as a second job for fun! They all expressed happened working for ll bean.They also had a movie theater outside open to the public and it was the only town in Maine we visited where parking was free because LL bean made it so. (We stopped at every town from Acadia to Mass). They also host free public events depending on the day. We saw free yoga as an example.Details in the stores was crazy. You can tell they cared. The railings were made to look like fake wood as an example. It was crazy! The place seemed to be a will respected, low key store (ie not forcing you into their system), while giving away so much to employees and the public. By far, best store Ive ever been too or seen out there, and I travel a lot.Ohh, did I mention they are the only store in America (the world?) that is open 365/24/7. Yes at any time, you can shop here.Never in my life have seen such a low key, successful company that gave back to the public and took care of ours employees, while feeling like it was an experience to shop. Maybe its because they are a private company. Regardless, definitely recommend.

Who cant love LL Bean Village and its LL Bean stores?! The staff are helpful and friendly. The stores and their facilities are clean. They have wheelchairs available.

Winter stock on display, was visiting from Florida. Nothing there I need. When I lived in Missouri this was a good place to shop. No need for warm weather clothes down here.

The LL Bean Store is beautiful with interactive things to do with the fish and wildlife they have there(only the fish are alive) LL Bean does do alot of free concerts and things for the community. It is a little pricey but with their return policy and the materials they use its well worth it

Well it was pretty good while it lasted for all of about 10 minutes before a fire alarm ran us out. Wife had 3 shirts left behind. Waited for about 30 minutes then spent money elsewhere. The employees there were real nice though.

Bean is a gift. I love the way this location is laid out and everything there is to do and look at. I always respected the stance L.L. Bean took with lifetime returns although I never utilized this, its a shame that Ive heard its no longer the case. Understandable though with the way things are these days!

This place is way bigger than expected! Multiple levels, clean, and friendly employees. Really like the wide selection of not only clothing but gear. Ended up getting a couple of lunch boxes and some shirts, and on the way out they were allowing kids to roast marshmallows and make smores. It was very nice.

Being an LLBean flagship store, this location is the holy land of all things LLB. Its definitely the biggest outdoor gear and apparel destination in down... possibly in the entire state. Its clean, attractive, and well organized.If you are an LLB fan or just a fan of outdoor stores in general, this is a destination store and a reason to visit Freeport.

Really great store to visit as a destination or if you are loose for a place to go. There are four LL Bean stores. Discount, bike & canoe, home goods and the main clothing store. Its like hours of shopping for quality goods. Covid shopping made use wait in line due to store population maximums. Not to bad though. What can I say. They have four seasons available and everything they sell on the floor. Great day.

L L. Bean is a place my family has ordered off their catalogue for years! We are from Texas, so I was thrilled I got to go to the store and try stuff on. They have a sale section, which I found some amazing deals! It took me over 2 hours to walk through and the place is huge! They offer classes and excursions and have multiple buildings for what you are looking for! Definitely a place worth stopping at and making it a destination! Drove about an hour and it was definitely worthwhile. Highly recommend. People who worked at the store were welcoming and helpful. The two rock structures pictured are in the shoe section so you can test out the shoes on different surfaces. Very cool store!

It is a neat shopping experience but sticker shock occurred multiple times along my search. Great to have options, but when you can find them substantially more affordable on the internet one must make the best decision. Certainly a place that inspires purchases.

Immaculately clean and organized, HUGE selection of clothes, and for my fellow little women out there, their petite section is amazing!!! Huge selection of clothes that fit without altering!! All the staff was very friendly and helpful as well.

I would love to give this place 5 stars because of the huge selection. My issue is it’s a larger complex than I expected and for some odd reason they placed the restrooms in both large buildings in back areas on the second floor. Have some respect for your customers. Are you that greedy you make us trek past all your shelves and displays before we get to relieve ourselves?

My wife had such a terrible time with L.L. Bean’s customer service just for asking a question about an item that hadn’t shipped a week after the purchase. She reviewed them here on Google. Bean responded with an email address to resolve the issue. She wrote to them at the provided email address and they never responded to her email.

Have ordered on line from L.L.BEAN for years. Finally got to visit. What an experience. Great store for the outdoorsman. I could spend hours there. Great staff and inventory. Didnt disappoint.

But, I understand they are open 24-hours, so if you dont like crowds do a night road trip.If youre a people watcher, stay all day. There are some rare birds to see! Of course, Im a southerner, so maybe not so rare for yall northernmost birds.

Mega large LL Bean. Definitely an experience just fun to walk around and look. Very expensive so if you plan on buying something come with your wallet. Small Cafe in the store, we didnt get lunch there, but smelt really good and rather busy. Probably worth taking to go and sitting outside. During the summer they were offering family movie nights outside. We missed it by a day, but looked like lots of fun.

This is a huge complex of stores and eateries under the banner of LL Bean. Everything you could possibly want/need for the outdoors. Campus is divided into 3 main stores plus coffee shops, eateries, and Ben and Jerrys. Out the front door is an entire village of top notch outlet stores, and down the street is even an LL Bean outlet store. Very cool!

We go to Bettys 5 or 10 times a year. Staff is wonderfull ... stuffed French toast is awesome . We dont even look at the menu. The wait staff knows us and everything is like its planned. Happy to be able to go there ...

Who wouldnt love the iconic L.L. Bean store in Freeport? They are dog friendly so we took our little Ruby with us. We received a wonderful and friendly welcome. When we couldnt find the specific sandals my wife wanted ( too late in the season) we were se t to their outlet store an easy walk across Rt 1 and found a pair there at a 30% discount! Love L.L. Bean!

I used to love LL Bean because of their quality products, and their lifetime guarantee. I knew if I owned or received an LL Bean product regardless of where it came from, it was good for life. I recently borrowed a croquet set from an elderly friend who received it as a gift. Three mallets broke when a child was playing with the game with his older brother. When I called to explain, LL Bean would no longer guarantee the product because they need proof of purchase. My elderly friend now has dementia and cant remember who gave it to her. LL Bean did not care and demand a proof of purchase therfore will not stand by the damaged product andgiveusareplacement, not even replacement mallets. I will not ever purchase from them again either for myself or for anyone else. The product is only lifetime if you are the purchaser. Very sad.

I love my LL Bean store at the Mall of America. I also had been here years ago. This store is Buckingham Palace and my store in MN is the manor of a Duke. It is truly one of the great unique shopping experiences in the US. It should not be missed.
