Listen people, if you ever need to get your rims expertly repaired then this place is definitely where you need to go. I had bent rims that were all scratched up and looking messy and decided to take the drive over there to check it out. I wasn’t disappointed because when I returned for my car I almost didn’t believe those were my rims. They were all looking brand new and car drove so smoothly after. Came to Long Island Rim to get my set of rims fixed. I had curbrash and some minor bents so I decided to do a full restoration with gun metal powder coating. Best decision I made!! Facts! I drove from Western Suffolk County to Freeport after contacting LI Rim. My son hit a pot hole again on the 495 LIE. Last February it cost him close to $500 for a new replacement aluminum alloy wheel. This time it bubbled a $200 quality Michelin tire and dented the rim! All other repair places were too busy to accommodate me as it is “Pot Hole Season” and have too much dealership volume. I was quoted 24-48 hour repair time. Called LI Rim. As busy as Carl was as well, he did not turn me away and told me to come on down. Dropped it off and went to a great lunch on the miracle mile. He repaired my wheel within 1 1/2 hrs! Not only was he a real nice honest person with 30+ years of experience, it was repaired to perfection (inc balanced).SUMMARY - HE IS THE REAL DEAL! Instead of waiting several days to bring the car for a service, I took the wheel to the shop and waited a few hours completely fixed the small crack. When I check the rim, the job is excellent. The surface is smooth and treatment is very professional with amazing quality. If you have a mechanical engineering background, you will see the superb job quality nowhere you can find in Long Island in this day. I would highly recommend LI Rims for their honest, responsive, and professional customer care.

Great experience and beautiful work. Had an appointment scheduled for 3 weeks and a few days later I had something come up so called and rescheduled without an issue. Dropped off my car at night, and picked it up the next day. Appreciated the fact that I can leave my car overnight, since a lot of places want you to bring the rims only for powder coating. I had the two front rim resurface only to find out the last company put my rear tires on the front. Fred informed me of this and on Mercedes Benz the rear tire size are bigger than fronts. Then they resurfaced my rims now they look just as good as the factory if not better. Now the car runs 110% better and I just can’t wait to have my rear rims done!👍🏾👍🏾

Excellent place! Took my tire off and put on my spare, so that I can keep my car. Picked up my tire the next day and he switched the tires. My rim looks brand new!

Awesome job by Carl, brought my car in with light to medium curb rash and he assured me it was a easy fix. Later on that night i got my car back and couldnt be happier with the results. The bronze color that i picked was much better than I expected. Carl restored my wheels to better than when i first purchased the wheels.

Travelled around 2 hours to get my rim repaired because it was bent. After getting my rim “repaired” I found that the original bend was still there and my powder coating was chipped around it. Huge waste of time and money in my opinion.

I know everyone starts saying “I don’t usually do this” but I actually NEVER do this! This place deserves every ounce of credit I can give! I had just bought a 370z and the wheels had a ton of curb rash and dents. Carl took great care of the car and was extremely accommodating. Brought my wifes 2012 Hyundai Azera in to refresh all four wheels. The years of Long Island winters and wear and tear in general had them looking really tired. Carl and team media blasted, straightened, powder-coated and put a beautiful layer of clear to make them shine better than new! Good guys too! Will be bringing my 2008 Honda Ridgeline in for the same treatment soon!

CARL, what can I say about being honest.....CARL EMBODIES THAT VERY WORD. My rim is AGAIN cracked, had it fixed once before at one of these brand name tire/mechanic shops, they held my car for over a day, no problem. They returned tire looking new, happy with the way it looked, tire didnt leak, great, so I thought. What a load of B.S. IN UNDER 30 DAYS SAME PROBLEM!!!!!!! Found Carl online rushed to his shop the next day hoping to solve my problem and get me moving again. Asks if the tire was previously repaired, I said yes, said he couldnt guarantee the work. That WASNT a problem, takes the tire off the car looks at and shows me what they exactly did. They shaved my tire making it weaker and the cracks REOPENED. He could of EASILY did his thing; fix my tire, charge me and send me on my way. NOT Carl, he took the high ground. Who knows what could of happen on the road driving at 50 miles per hour plus if that tire would of completely cracked, told me what I needed to do and wrote out a receipt as proof of what was wrong with the tire. A TRUE PROFESSIONAL AT WORK.

I own a 2017 Mercedes CLS. I hit tow pot hols last week and my car was vibrating from two bent wheels. Carl is the best and one of the most honest people out there. So I brought a rim that I thought needed fixing because the guy that changed my tires a few years ago said I had 2 bent rims. Back then I purchased the 2 brand new replacement OEM alloy rims from the manufacturer at $350/each. I kept the old bent rims as backups that could be fixed if I had problems with my other rims or if they got scratched up. So 2 days ago I brought my bent rims to Carl to get them fixed. Carl calls me the next day and says my rims are not bent. Wow, I was surprised!!! Now thats honesty and count me impressed. If I need these services again, this is the first place I am going to! Carls motto is honesty is the best policy and those are words to live by!

After reading all the reviews I went to Long Island Rim myself to get my rims powder coated glossy black. I have a 2017 Mazda 6 Touring. When I came I was a bit skeptical because the shop is small and kinda messy. They only have a one car garage where all the work is done in. Nonetheless, the result of the powder coating was AMAZING. It was done very professionally and I love the end product. The mechanic was really nice. I dropped off the car at 3 pm and picked it up at 6 pm the next day. Accepts both Cash and Credit. Really amazing job. Recommend him to everyone.

Phenomenal powder coating job on my stock rims! They went from Plain Janes to slick, gloss black beauties! Fredy even fixed dents in the rims that I didn’t even know they had. I would definitely recommend them to anyone trying to freshen up their rims and car!

Honest work at a good price.

I called and spoke to Carl, who was very nice to me on the telephone. I explained that my tires were losing air constantly and that my mechanic said I had bent rims. He told me I could come in straight from work. I got there at 6pm and was taken immediately. Everyone was nice and they fixed both of my rims while I waited. I definitely recommend this shop to whoever needs their rims fixed. They are very nice and their work is exceptional and you cant beat their prices.

Fantastic!!! I am not one to write reviews but I felt compelled to write this one. Nowadays I feel a little apprehensive going to a shop I have never been to. I just bought a used car and after replacing the tires I still felt a shimmy while driving. I went back to the tire shop and they told me that one or more of my rims were bent. I found Long Island Rim online and I took my car for them to look at. They took my car in immediately and the owner Carl actually drove me home while they started work on my vehicle. He called me twice within the next hour and a half with updates. They determined that it was nothing more than the wheel balancing being off. They could have easily told me that 1 or more of my rims were bent. This kind of honesty and integrity is not something often found. I HIGHLY recommend Carl and his company. Doug

I called several shops and Carl quoted the best price, and the shops is conveniently open until 9 pm. I brought my car over, discussed options and he assured me he could repair the rim without issue. My doughnut tire was out of air, he filled it, put it on so I could use my car and told me to come back after 2pm the following day. He was good on his word. The rim was repaired, the prices was great, and the service excellent. Thank you, Carl. Im going back to have Carl check the remaining tires after the weekend.

Great service and workmanship. I took my custom one-off $5,000 rims to this place to get the hub bore opened up .7mm. Carl took care of the rims and bored them out perfectly. They were balanced w/o an issue and the car rides smooth at high speed.

I stopped by this shop to see if they could repair a damaged rim. They looked it over and honestly told me that my rim could not be repaired correctly and that I needed to get a new one. They then spent at least 30 minutes helping me identify everything I needed to know about the rim and even tried to help me locate a new one online.We werent successful, but with the information that they provided I was able to eventually find a new one online.So even though they werent able to repair my rim, they were honest, friendly and very helpful. I have no problem recommending these guys if you need any sort of rim repair or advice.

What a place! I hit a bad pothole Saturday night that took out my tire.Brought it to LI Rim thinking bad tire and rim.They checked it out and rim was fine. My 2017 white Cadillac ATS looked too stock and wanted to change the appearance. I originally wanted black rims from the dealer but they were too expensive. I wanted to replace my boring factory alloy rims with a black powder coated. After much research I came across Long Island rim and got a fair quote. The finished glossy black powder coated rims exceeded my expectations and enhanced the look of my car. The quality and look was much nicer then what the dealer was selling. You can not go wrong with Long Island Rim, they do amazing work.

Got my rims refinished here. They took way longer than agreed upon. My finished paint job had a different color in it due to workers touching it before my paint dried. They did offer compensation which i think was a good gesture in customer satisfaction.

Long Island rim did right by me. Unfortunately my car had major problems the night I was scheduled to bring my car in and they had moved another persons appointment on my behalf. Despite the inability to make my initial appointment I was not charged a few, treated differently or get a lackluster job done. The guys at LIR did a stupendous job on refinishing and powder coat painting my wheels and Ill go back when Im getting my calipers painted.

Today December 23, 2019 I discovered an incredible alloy rim repair Santa I met Carlos and Franny and Sammy their pitbull guard dog this pair are the nicest professional auto service mechanics you would wanna meet my rim was taken off my 2005 Pontiac GTO and refurbished while I waited at Shop 10:30 AM out at 11:30 AM they are the nicest and best gays in Freeport New York the they do is exceptional would recommend them to classic car owners and general public theyre the best take it from Captain Steve this is an unsolicited commentary on their workmanship thanks guys
