Enjoy the friendly staff and the products. However, I did have one pretty major issue. I quoted two jobs according to the price list that I had. Not knowing that they went up $3 a yard more for the material I used. So I ended up taking a loss on both jobs. Granted, they were not major losses. But it still was a loss. I talked with the staff and hopefully I will be receiving a email from now on. So all is well.

Ordered mulch from Quail Ridge online and the experience was great. I picked up at their location and COVID protocols were well done inside the office. The operation there is extremely efficient. After paying for mulch, loading was very easy. The attendant delivered the bags on a forklift and was helpful in loading them in my truck. I will definitely be back for my future mulch needs.

Ordered the 50/50 topsoil and mushroom compost for some raised beds. I used the online order form to make sure they had the correct information and within a few hours I was called back to confirm the order and arrange delivery and payment. The whole process went very smoothly. The topsoil was delivered on time and is very rich and loamy. Very few stones or other detritus. If I need more I’m definitely going back.

Easy to order, although online ordering would be great. Mulch arrived on time in a HUGE truck. That made it hard to find a good way to unload the mulch without blocking in my cars, but the friendly driver figured it out.I got 20cy of the regular double shredded hardwood mulch. The quality is good. Just what it should be.Overall, I would order from them again.

Called on a Tuesday morning. 2.5 yds of 50/50 Mushroom mix was delivered 2 hours later. Only complaint is I was told it would be delivered between 2-5pm. Truck was here at 1130. Caught me by surprise. Driver was cool and waited while we moved cars. Dumped it right where we asked.

I have to say the only thing keep me from giving 5 stars is my delivery was scheduled between 8 - 10 AM which I ordered a week in advance. The contract hauler did not contact me until 9:51. When he got here he said very few words and didnt get out of his truck then just drove away.

I sent a message Friday morning about setting up delivery of 10 cubic yards of compost and received an immediate response. Ended up setting things up for delivery the next morning and I could not be happier. The quality of the compost I ordered was top notch and even my neighbor asked where I got it. Will certainly be ordering again in the future.

They did a great job. The young lady in the office was very helpful and the fellows that delivered the garden soil and mushroom mix did a great job.

Picked up two yards of the 50/50 mix for a raised bed. This product is supposed to be 50% topsoil and 50% leaf compost. Frankly, I think its too heavy to have 50% composted anything in it. The top soil component has a fair amount of small gravel in it. After loading up my bed I watered to soak the soil. Water pooled on top, mixed it around and lower soil was still dry. I would expect a blend with half of the volume being organic material to absorb water much better than this.While Im not 100% thrilled with the soil, I can amend it and it will be fine. Next time I will just stick to the straight mushroom compost.As for the facility, its a straight forward operation. Staff were friendly and I was in, loaded and on my way in less than 15 minutes.I would also add that I had them deliver 10 yards of mushroom compost last year. The delivery fee was kind of high BUT the total load was quite generous and good quality, so it balanced out.

My wife and I discovered Quail Ridge this year and weve always had good experiences here. Weve used the Garden Gro Compost in our raised bed for our veggies and in all of our new flower beds around the house. All the veggies did great this year and our flowers are magnificent. We also just finished up tilling and laying new grass in my grandmothers front yard. Grandma is thrilled! The Garden Gro Compost made the grass come in lush and strong. Anyways all the folks here are professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend for any soil, compost, and mulch!

I ordered 20 cu yds of double-shredded hardwood mulch. The mulch arrived exactly on time, and the driver dumped it exactly where I asked so that I could easily use the bucket of my small tractor to move it around. Very high quality and clean mulch that I like to used for raised beds since I am berry farming on land that has been sand-mined. The mulch serves two critical purposes - it prevents almost all weeds, and it helps hold critical moisture in the raised beds. Im a very satisfied repeat customer, having purchased roughly 100 cu yds of this mulch and about half as much compost. Thanks much for excellent product and service.

Last year I purchased mulch from the scouts. It all had come from Quail Ridge. The quality of the mulch was so much better than compared to another large local company.I just ordered 3 cubic yards of compost. I ordered Friday & it was delivered Saturday, even Under our current “social distancing “ conditions.The compost is clean & looks amazing in my flower beds. Great loads of compost. I ordered 8 and they delivered the next day. Then I ordered 6 more a week later and they also delivered that the next day. Their delivery charge was less than some I had checked and their prices all around are good. The lady on the phone was very helpful in assisting me with how much I wanted and very friendly. The delivery driver was also friendly and helpful. Will definitely use them in the future.

Base mulch price plus delivery is competitive. We are outside Fredericksburg, so delivery was a little higher than if you lived closer. Delivery occurred when promised ( we picked the date) and they called before arriving as instructed. Received a generous 10 cubic yards. Mulch has more sticks and longer pieces than other double shredded mulch we bought this year, but still acceptable. The salesperson and driver were both pleasant.

After I placed my order, they contacted me to let me know they had forgotten to deduct a percentage for online ordering. I found that very thoughtful. I hadn’t thought about it.The delivery was on the date we agreed upon and just a little earlier than expected. The driver was very nice and respectable. The product itself was as expected. Price was good- ease of getting product also very good- staff was very friendly. My issue was the red much was very patchy. I had about 30 percent red and 70 percent brown on most of the 14 bags I put down. I don’t know if this is the norm but this was my experience. I’d probably use them again for non-colored mulch but not for the red.
