One of the best lunch places EVER! We ate there today and thoroughly enjoyed our Club Sandwich, Side Salad, Chips which we split as the portions are HUGE! and dessert (see options in my pics).

Awesome service and tasty food. Decided to take a day trip from San Antonio for my Anniversary with my wife. We were not disappointed. The first thing I said to my wife when I bit into my club sandwich was I can taste the freshness of all the ingredients.. She looked at me crazy until she tasted her salad. Theres not too many times im right with wife, this time she agreed. Ha. Great ambiance, staff and food.

This was an amazing hidden little gem! Loved the atmosphere of the Bistro. Waitress (Jaylin) was amazing! She was attentive but not over bearing. The food was amazing as well. The supporting staff to Jaylin were also on point, well organized team! Did I mention this place was AMAZING!

We visited Fredericksburg for the weekend and had dinner here for our last night. Although it was a bit loud, the atmosphere was still classy. Our waiter, Joseph, was knowledgeable and recommended wonderful dishes. We had the Salmon sashimi (I forgot to get a picture) and seafood gumbo as our appetizers, the braised beef and duck confit for the entrees, and pistachio tiramisu for dessert. Everything was fantastic and I highly recommend you try it out when in Fredericksburg

Beautiful little eatery found underneath the Vaudeville shop (shop had neat things but extremely over-priced). The restaurant didnt appear to be advertised, you took the stairs down into it and the food was really good, nice beer/wine selection and quaint enough for a very upscale date night!

Phenomenal, hidden gem! First and foremost, the Vaudeville retail store is filled with amazing treasures. Whoever curates their selection knows what theyre doing. The prices reflect that, but the quality is spot-on.The restaurant is in the lower level of the facility, which is really cool. Its not small, but its also not huge—just right from a size / capacity standpoint.The food is absolutely divine!We started with the Beef Carpaccio, Burrata and Charred Pulpo (octopus), which Ive featured in my photos. Everything was incredible, especially the octopus. I LOVE octopus, and Vaudevilles is in my top 3, for sure.We had the Chicken Pesto pizza for our entree. It was so good that I didnt have time to take a photo before we destroyed it. The pizza was so delicious, in fact, that we went back the next night and carried out another Chicken Pesto pizza, as well as the Chorizo Salamanca pizza.I cannot recommend Vaudeville any higher!If youre a foodie (like me), this is your place.

Everything we ate here was delicious and perfectly prepared. The items we loved were the french dip, roasted chicken sandwich (so tender!), the pork belly tacos, and the power bowl.The service was quick, and our drinks were never left empty. Thanks for a great dining experience!

One of my most favorite restaurants ever! Have visited multiple times, for lunch, dinner and dessert.Wait staff are all knowledgeable and friendly, genuinely seem to like their work and can speak intelligently about the high quality food.

The food here is simply delicious. The French dip was the best Ive ever had. Cooked to perfection.I also tried a goat cheese that was fantastic.Finished it all off with a butterscotch Creme Brulee that was absolutely sinful.

What an absolute gem! We stopped in here on Fathers day for lunch after a long hike. As my wife put it a sandwich without fries had better be good... I lived in NYC for 15 years and ate my bodyweight in reubens but this was the best Ive ever eaten. The french dip was incredible to but that reuben.Our server was also awesome ( bald white guy i forgot to catch his name while I ate the reuben and reenacted a scene from when Harry met sally) super friendly and attentive. Just drop everything you are doing right now and drive to Fredericksburg to eat this sandwich.

You are feeling like in the Europe at heart of the Texas.Their service successfully, their food the best in Fredericksburg, I couldn’t find any competitor in Austin. They don’t ignore any detail of the dining experience, and the decor is just one element that contributes powerfully to a restaurants ambiance.Mostly going for daily specials. Fried chicken on Sundays, chicken&spinach lasagna on Saturdays.Reuben sandwich is must at this place.Dessert ladies and gentlemen. Chocolate pot de creme. You won’t regret or go for the legendary cookies.

This place was amazing! Cute, romantic, underground setting. Everything was fresh and paired amazing. Asparagus cooked to perfection. The homemade mozzarella was phenomenal! Servers were friendly and prompt. Went there for brunch and the only thing lacking was bloody Marys. They did offer mimosas though. Portions were huge and everything taste amazing. Will definitely be back for dinner next time we are in Fredericksburg!

Very good service, haughty, fashionable and delicious! Possibly the best chicken and collard greens with whipped potatoes and gravy I have ever experienced. Not to mention wagontrailish homemade corn bread!

Fantastic European bistro ambiance in the cellar with friendly staff. We had the most tender, flavorful, and decadent Reuben Sandwich ever, and the Pistachio Tiramisu is a must try. Thoroughly enjoyed our food and experience! We will be back.

We didn’t eat at the Bistro as our experience in the Boutique was rather unwelcoming. The girl at the counter didn’t greet us when we came in. We browsed the store and thought it was beautiful and we were impressed with their merchandise. My husband and I spotted a picnic basket (marked with a tag of 150.00) that we liked very much and were interested in purchasing. We asked the girl at the counter if they had some in stock as the floor model was a little worn, likely from being looked over by customers. She acted inconvenienced by our request but she went to see if there were any in stock and came back with one from the back. We decided to buy it but when she rang it up - it came to 225.00 plus tax. Of course, we were surprised by the amount and we told her the display basket was marked 150.00 - the reaction of the sales girl was also surprising. She just told us it was mismarked and said “we can’t sell it at that price - we wouldn’t make any money.” We declined the purchase and told her they should change the price tag out so others don’t have the same experience we had. I was disappointed in her reaction and lack of customer service or even just being apologetic for their merchandise being marked incorrectly. We didn’t push her to hold Vaudeville to their displayed ticketed price, but found the sales girl’s lack of customer service and orientation to be off putting. We certainly understand mistakes happen, but acknowledgement and some sort of consideration are always appreciated and welcomed. This was not the case at this lovely boutique.

I wish I took photos of this place! It is so fancy and elegant and the service was impeccable. It was great for a date with my boyfriend. I loved everything about this restaurant. It is a must whenever you visit Fredericksburg.

Collard greens were excellent. Not usually a fan but served crispy...nice. Fried chicken was cooked well. A little more spicy than I would have liked but not over powering. Corn bread was awesome. I could make a meal of that and again, not usually a fan.

If you want an incredible experience, go here! Weve traveled the world experiencing amazing food & Vaudeville is now at the top of that list! The food, the details, the service & atmosphere is perfection!!

We love going here every time we are in Fred. We were just there last month and am happy to say the place is as cozy and delicious as when it opened. The French dip sandwich and homemade chips were stellar as were the homemade dark and white chocolate chip cookies. The gumbo was fantastic, if a bit spicy. The owners and chef are charming and engaging. All in all, a spot worthy of any big town eatery.

A beautiful store front and restaurant in Fredricksburg. The store is on the main level and restaurant is downstairs. On Mondays and Wednesdays they have a prefix 5 course dinner, called supper club on a stunning side patio. I tried the chicken tortilla soup and fried chicken. Both were delicious. I would come back to try more.

The food was great, the dessert was not. Also they forgot some of our order. But out of 7 people we all enjoyed our lunch.

We decided to have lunch here after reading so many great reviews. The Buttermilk Fried Chicken tasted great and the peach tea was excellent.The food quality got overshadowed by the excessive number of flies that were hovering over our table and neighboring tables. We were seated in the middle of the restaurant in front of the kitchen. At a table meant for two people there were frequently 3 or more flies.When my husband brought this to the attention of the manager she seemed artificially concerned. Apparently they have something they can put out on tables but only if you request it. I’m disappointed the staff is not proactive with borderline infestation level of flies.I would not recommend this restaurant if you are wanting a fly free experience. I think they do to go if you want to try the food.

Odd concept, if you make reservations the menu is limited Pre Fix ($$$), but if you walk-in you can order off the menu with more options? It’s almost as if you’re penalized for making reservations. I’d prefer more menu options. We kept watching other tables with menu options we’d prefer.

A friend recommended Vaudeville for dinner while we were visiting Fredericksburg. Although we weren’t in town when they are open for dinner, we did stop for lunch. The customer service was excellent and the food was tasty. They had so many great gluten-free options that my wife could enjoy. She had a great chicken and rice soup and a GF chocolate dessert. And I indulged in the brazed pork belly tacos. Yum!! Will definitely go again next time we visit.

Had a French Chardonnay and gumbo, great staff and atmosphere.

We didnt eat here because we were looking for a steak house. But I took pictures of the menu, the waiter was really sweet and recommended where to go for beef. No where in town could we find a steak house. I gave them a 3 because it wouldnt be fair to rate them poor if I didnt try the food, but I hear its really good.

I am simultaneously at a loss for words and unable to say enough about this experience. The all-encompassing flavors and textures that overcame my senses were the best thing I have ever enjoyed. Looking down at my plate and seeing another bite waiting for me was the highest Ive ever been. Nothing could have be improved. I could focus on nothing else while I was eating. The six other people at my table disappeared. I can only assume that they were also overcome by the elation that I was feeling. The world turned off and every pleasure sensor in my brain was turned on. The complete euphoria that this taco provided me will last days; weeks; months, even. Sitting at that table, eating the taco and letting the flavors completely overcome me is now my happy place. Such happiness is other-wordly; an almost terrifyingly wonderful sensation. I would do literally anything in order to have this taco again. I would move heaven and earth if it meant that I could eat it one more time. Just an hour ago, I was unaware that such bliss existed. On a scale of one to ten, ten being sitting in a room with all of your favorite people or marrying the love of your life, eating this taco was a 15. I dont know if Ill ever be able to replicate the ecstasy.

The food was superb, the prices have gone up and I have come since they first opened.. I dont mind paying if the food/ staff is impeccable, which they are... I love the owners,staff and food at the Bistro and Supper Club. I would recommend the burrata and carpaccio for starters... Reuben and pork belly tacos for main.Smores cookies. Creme brulee and rice pudding for dessert.If youre lucky enough to come on Friday, get a bowl of the Coconut crab curry soup.... Thank me later... Youre welcome. 🥰👍

Food was alright and the atmosphere was quite nice, but the people are why I had to dock down from 5 stars. A select few of the staff were very professional and kind but the rest gave off an air of superiority as if they were doing you a favor by letting you pay them for their service. Vaudeville felt like the wrong kind of snooty.

My wife and I had our first meal at Vaudeville yesterday for lunch. Restaurant finds like this are far and few between. The food was excellent. Ingredients were fresh and of high quality. Service was good. Atmosphere was nice. Vaudeville will be our first choice whenever we visit Fredericksburg. The wait time on a Monday at 1:00 p.m. was about 15 minutes so well make a reservation on future visits.

Good french dip sandwich. Horseradish sauce was creamy and mild. Home made potato chips were good. Need reservations, even for lunch.

Sat outside for lunch. Fresh crab curry soup was velvety and beautiful. Salad was gorgeous and abundant. And salted caramel cookie was shareable and swoonworthy. Cant wait to come for dinner!

Excellent French influenced Bistro Resto to eat breakfast - lunch - dinner !The cheese plate (5 different cheeses - 4 soft French and 1 Dutch Gouda) and lump crab curry soup was excellent. Mimosa (with fresh orange juice) was outstanding. Bellini was available with fresh peaches. The staff was very patient and helpful !What a treat to find such a sublime kitchen in Fredericksburg Texas 💕

Absolutely fantastic cuisine, great selection of cheeses and wine. This is a must do or experience whenever you visit Fredericksburg. The acoustic and great architecture will make you feel welcome from the moment you step in. I would call this “A little piece of Europe in Texas”

Vaudville has two levels with the store above and Bistro below. Come straight downstairs to the Bistro add enjoy the menu and beverage list before browsing the store. The food is as delicious as the decor and inventory is tasteful and eclectic. This has become our go-to for meals on Main Street in Fredericksburg. Every day they have a special menu. My wife and I had the buttermilk fried chicken, ordered with two breasts and split with an extra side of collard greens. The bird was perfectly cooked to retain moisture while the skin was crispy and well seasoned. This place must be owned by artists descended from the Italian Renaissance! They do everything impeccably well.

We loved this place. Came here for lunch over the July 4th weekend.Ordered some fantastic wine and a Beleni. Yum!!!My partner order a club and I ordered the soup.Both were outstanding! I think that was the best club sandwich I have ever eaten.To top it all off our waitress Sealy was just fantastic. Friendly, attentive and prompt.Atmosphere was very romantic too. The menu and atmosphere look great, but the experience we had with the OWNER was appalling.We went downstairs to the bistro to get a glass of wine. Due to social distancing, the bar was limited to two sets of two stools, separated by six feet. There was a gentleman sitting at one of the sets of two stools. He said, “We’re about to leave,” so my husband and I put our hand on the stools while they cleaned up. Another guy came by a few minutes later, and said, “I guess I’ll just leave.” We apologized and told him that another gentleman had left and told us we could have the seats, so we were snagging them while we had the chance. He said, “Oh, you were ‘snagging’ them? Ok, we’ll leave then. Suppose we have no choice”As soon as we sat down a waitress walked by and said, “Was he rude to you? He’s the owner.” I told her what happened, and she said, “the first guy is the other owner. I know he said you could have their seats. I’m really sorry the owner was rude to you. That’s embarrassing.” So, one is nice, the other is a pretentious fop, and apparently the staff expect it. We wanted to come back for dinner, but decided not to, if that’s how the owner treats his customers.I have traveled to 60 countries on the six inhabited continents and never had such service from a hospitality business owner. Reading other reviews, I think this is his M.O. In an economy where most restaurants are desperate for customers, I recommend you take your business elsewhere!

The food was AMAZING! My friend and I are foodies and travel a lot so we always ask questions about extraordinary food we enjoy. The wait person wasnt very friendly and seemed very curt when we asked him about certain ingredients.We loved the Mediterranean Starter!! The chicken sandwich was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. My friend had the pork belly tacos which had the very flavorful hummus on it!!The hostess was very friendly and we were able to ask her more questions as she was bussing tables.I would give 5 stars if the wait person hadnt been such a buzzkill!We will go back! Hopefully will have a friendlier wait person next time.

My mom and grandma and I went for Mother’s Day Brunch. The food was so delicious with the fresh seafood and the prime rib. Unfortunately though, we had to sit outside and there were so many flies buzzing around it made it hard to enjoy the atmosphere.

The best food and service in the Texas Hill Country! I know because I live here and have been disappointed by all the restaurants in town. The owners have two amazing restaurants, one casual dining, the Bistro and for evening dining the Supper Club. Also, on the property, a gift shop that looks like Barneys New York. You will not be disappointed in your adventure to Vadeville. FYI- get reservations (for 4 or more) in the Bistro there could be a wait. I have never been happier with a meal in my life. My husband and I went to Vaudeville for our anniversary and were pleasantly surprised with the staff, service, and food. We had the seafood gratin and Rio Blanco pale ale for starters, he had the chorizo Salamanca pizza and I had the duck confit for our entrees. All were EXCELLENT. Especially the duck confit that comes with a raspberry sauce, and roasted potatoes tossed in honey mustard. For dessert we had an espresso and their chocolate croissant, and again they were very good. We took a bottle of rosé to go, which was ok, but I will continue to rave about the food to anyone who will listen. Highly recommend.

Showed up on a Sunday morning, the place wasnt super busy yet we had to wait 25 mins for 3 coffees, and 2 smoothies. Smoothies were not initially offered as non-dairy, it had to be requested and the coffee wasnt that exceptional.

Expensive, but nice atmosphere and excellent wait staff. Food was rich and flavourful. You get what you pay for.

Ten of us just had a delicious meal at Vaudeville in Fredericksburg! The Farmer’s Market Pizza looked colorful and tasted quite good. The seasonal snow globes on the table were festive. We all enjoyed our meals and the excellent service.

Cheers to Saturday lunch + Bellinis! There was a huge line of people waiting to get in to get their table when the doors opened at 11am, but luckily we had reservations! Definitely make reservations for this charming restaurant because the food + service is top notch! The portions are on the large side, so several of us shared meals. I had the beef tip sandwich and it was scrumptious! We had a table of ten and they accommodated our party with individual tickets at the end, which was most appreciated.

We got into Fredericksburg late on Friday night and they had a side table available in the front, not the main dining area. We were concerned they would forget about us but we were hungry and took the chance. The service turned out to be amazing. She was extremely attentive and the food was really good as well. I had the duck and my fiance ordered the lamb. Its pricey for sure but you get what you paid for.

Oh wow! Words truly fail me in describing this fine dining experience. Id recommended this to every single person visiting Fredericksburg. Book a table and make your way over you will thank me and Vaudeville and the great chefs and staff.

Great Bistro and worth the wait!

We visited on a Sunday, had to wait for 45 minutes with no reservation. The restaurant is nice and the store upstairs is amazing (and Expensive). They had a Sunday special, Chicken Fried. Everything tasted wonderful but the chicken was all bones (literally, I had ribs, tendons and what seemed part of the wing bone). Really disappointing. My wife had an amazing sandwich. We saw that they had Cuvee Coffee, which is our favorite roaster in Austin, so we decided to have a couple of espressos. Again, we were disappointed, it took forever to get the coffees, and when they arrived, the coffee was extremely bright and citric, and that was on milky drinks. We might repeat to give a second chance.

Pretentious place. Ordered apps and main courses at same time then waited 45 minutes between the courses. Server never showed up. Food was ok but nothing special. Would not go back at this price point. So many better options.
