They went above and beyond with us. Tony in service is absolutely wonderful!!!! He went out of his way to fix our tank correctly so they could fill it and they actually came same day to fill no placing an order and waiting for the fill up. I highly recommend this company!!! they are the bestBrett and Paige

Ive been a Quarles customer with both Propane and Oil for the last 17 years. I was very happy with their Auto delivery option once we straighten out the schedule, their calculations never seem to work so I made them commit to April and December.Well this winter I ran out of oil and wondered how this could happen. When I looked at my deliveries I realized they never came out in December. So on Feb 1st I called for an Emergency delivery and after talking to their after hours line 3 times over a 2 hour period I was told someone would come in the morning. At 7:30 I called the office and was told it could be 15 days before someone could come. They like to brag that Auto-delivery customers have priority, I guess thats just words with no substance.Asked for the Manager Zach to call and explain this. Here it is after 4:00PM and I have yet to hear back from anyone at Quarles.WARNING: THINGS HAVE CHANGED HERE. No one cares here anymore.All the other companies I called said they are getting calls from old Quarles customers looking to change, about 10 people a day average.Happy Hunting and Good Luck.Lou P.

I have been waiting for over a week to get my heating oil delivered, which I paid for over a week ago.I was told last week that it would be delivered that day, and it was not.Then the weekend came, and they’re closed, so no delivery, although the heat must stay in, especially with the snow and ice storm we got.Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I was unable to reach them by phone. - I simply hung on for over 20 minutes each of the 3 times I called, until I finally hung up.I finally reached them today, and understand “Bob” will be making a delivery some time today.How friendly after all of this anticipation and fright for my health and property to know that Bob is on his way, supposedly.I now have a serious quarrel with Quarles.I am not at all satisfied. I feel my trust has been abused, and it may not be recoverable.

We did not choose Quarles. Our company, Revere was bought out by them. We stayed 1 year and this year decided to go with another company. Quarles has now sent the truch here 4 times - last declined truck just left. Called the office and asked what it will take to stop sending the truck out here? So all of you not getting fuel for days, its because they wont stop coming here! Record keeping/billing is something to be desired 👎Justin Kay...I read your post. You ARE NOT stuck. Reach out to other propane companies and comparison shop. I did! Now with another company and cheaper. Just dont go with Amerigas either. Just as bad and $$$$

Today is 17 days without refill and no explanation. No one should use this company especially if you have children because you will be out in the cold in winter time. Every time I called they put me on hold for a long time and promise to get it delivery but 17 days still no oil, yet they want me to pay emergency fee.

I wish i could give a 0 start to this company . they didnt come to do my DELIVERY ON DECEMBER SO THEY LIED THAT THEY DIDNT RECIVED MY CONTRACT AND LIED ABOUT DELIVERING THE NEXT DAY TOO.I TOLD THEM WE HAVE A 9 YEAR OLD AND THAT WE ARE FREEZINGBUT THEY CAN CARE LESS.. I WISH I CAN GET A DIFF COMPANY BUT THEY SAY THEY OWN MY TANK.. ONCE MY NEW CONTRACT IS DONEI WILL CALL A NEW GAS COMPANY ..

Quarles Petroleum Inc in Virginia, We use propane for heat. We are older Seniors. We called you last Monday on the 25th Jan, and requested a propane fill up. We were at 20%. Its Saturday, Its 27 degrees outside. We are at 0% and no heat. What happened? We did everything you said was required. We are long time customers. We have always paid our bills on time or early, and you let us down. We are good customers! But we must be able to rely on you!Your Fredericksburg office just told us you do not make emergency deliveries. Your website says you do. We called yesterday and you assured us that you would deliver yesterday the 29th. No one showed up. The filling station is only 20 minutes away from us.We are having a major storm to hit. Now what do we do?You have our number, we left numerous messages in several places to make sure someone else other than your Fredericksburg Receptionists hear our story.

This is the worst company in the world to work with. I have been trying for two days to get in touch with them and I cannot connect to a person. Ive left emails, recordings and was on hold for 5 hours. Our tank was out of propane and we are on automatic fill. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS.

This company took me off of automatic refill without me knowing it (although they say they sent me a letter). The gauge on my propane tank is broken (says its above full), they still wont send a technician out today without a $150 emergency charge. I have children and no hot water until they can get here within 5 days they say.The representative on the phone was very rude and did not want me to speak with someone above her. She finally said she would have a manager call me. This representative then called me back 5 minutes later to tell me she spoke with a manager and they told her to tell me I would have to pay the $150 fee. I said okay I would like to speak with the manager myself like you said I could. She said she is going to a meeting and not available. I asked if there was any other manager I can talk to. She said no because I called too early in the morning. Finally she put me thru to the management voicemail and I am waiting a call back.Customer service in this whole experience was rude and they clearly do not care for their small customer business. Very disappointing. Will be switching to a new propane company.

I’m really at a loss as to how this company has ANY good reviews. I have never had as much trouble getting a propane delivery as I have with this company. I made 5 phone calls over the course of one week and each time I was assured my propane was scheduled for delivery as soon as possible. Finally my last call on Friday I was told that previous information was incorrect and my propane won’t be delivered until Monday, December 9th. It’s been one cold weekend and I’m doubtful that I’ll even get the delivery on Monday. I plan to switch to another supplier at my first opportunity.

I had called several times previously and set up automatic deliveries, each time I called back they would say I wasnt set up for automatic delivery, even though they gave me a date for delivery. I called again today, 5 days after my auto delivery was due, and talked to Isiah who again informed me that I wasnt set up for auto delivery. I then told him I would like to discontinue my service, he tried to offer me a next day delivery, but Ive had so many issues with them previously that I had to reiterate that I was done with their service, so Isiah hung up on me. No apologies, no closing account process, just hung up. Horrible customer service and I will strongly recommend anyone to go elsewhere.

HORRIBLE SERVICE! Ran out of propane Decemeber 26th on a new house just purchased... was told I was not a customer and it would take 5-7 business days to get set up then around a month to deliver propane to heat my house, cook food, and heat my water. Found a local company who said they would be here in 24 hours. Quarles told me it was illegal for me to fill their tank even though I have no agreement with them standing. So I bought the tank from them, which they were happy to take my money for that in 5-7 minutes instead of days. BUY LOCAL is all I have to say people... this company is HORRIBLE. Everyone on the phone, when I finally could get off the automated answering machine was horrible and could careless about my situation. I wish I could rate them a 0....

Called several times and were reassured we were on the auto delivery list and that theyll be out soon, its nearly February and no one has come by since the initial November delivery and since we were nearly empty we called and the rep said we are not on the delivery list at all! Ive been a customer for 3 seasons and am appalled by the lack of service. We will not be using this company ever again.

My husband and I just purchased a new home and decided to use Quarles Petroleum for our propane gas because we heard so many positive things about them. When we called to inquire additional information, the customer service representative was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and she automatically made you feel you were a valued customer. We were extremely pleased with the service they provided so we set up our account and scheduled a date for them to inspect our propane tank and lines. A few days later we received a courtesy call back from Laurie C to confirm our scheduled inspection date. And just like the first representative, Laurie was very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. In great detail she explained our plan and other options if we so choose. She was so thorough that we had no questions to ask. The customer service has been so exceptional that it makes you feel you are joining a family instead of a company.Robyn & Nick

I would give 1/4 star if I could. FAILED MISERABLY to live up to their new customer coupon deal and price savings. Called to start an account on a Friday 12/19/19 when my propane tank was at 20%. Was promised an account startup person would call on Monday. 11 days later I had to call them when the tank dropped to 10% with 26 degree cold at night and everything in my house runs on propane which I told them. Took them still another day to call to get my account started, by which time I had to get someone else more dependable so I didnt run out because they couldnt even promise a delivery date. Office personnel gave all sorts of excuses like holidays, short staff, people on vacation and office difficulties. Doesnt excuse poor communication, poor service and failure to live up to advertised deal. Would never recommend them to anyone.

Quarles bought out our contract from Revere gas and didnt honor the fact that I prepaid for a fill up in August to save money. When I called they didnt seem to care nor willing to provide any solutions. Unfortunately I think Im stuck with having to use this company. Poor customer service even from management.

I dont understand how this company has so many good reviews. They are supposed to monitor our tanks to be sure we never run out but, because we monitor our tanks ourselves to be sure, I find it curious that the drivers come out and deliver and give us a receipt saying our tank was empty when it was not, and charge for a full fill. If you have the budget plan they will gouge you at the end of the year, even after a mild winter, and say you have to pay for your overage in order to get back to your budget payment amount. This year it was over $800 for us and each year the amount goes us. They have a program that you can pay for that is supposed to keep your gas at under 2.50 a gallon but they raised their amount to 2.65 anyway despite the contract for 2.50 and when I asked they said they can raise it when gas prices go up. WHAT? What is the point of paying to join the program to keep prices below 2.50. Terrible company, just check out the BBB complaints. We will be changing companies.

Terrible company with poor customer service. I have so many horrible things to say about this company the list could go on and on. They absolutely DO NOT care about their customers. They continue to buy out small companies, take the customers and employees with no intentions of keeping them because they treat them so poorly. I have been treated poorly by this company for the very last time.

WOW can I give this rating 0 stars. Their customer service is terrible. I had someone call to tell me there was an issue and as Im trying to gather information she says Im getting off the phone you have 5 minutes to solve the problem or else the truck is leaving. How could I solve the problem if I couldnt even get all the information. RUDE I will be calling back and getting the reps name and filling a complaint.

This morning, Four Seasons Colonial Beach was unable to serve its customers because Quarles failed to deliver propane to our location. Unfortunately, we lost a lot of business, and my servers lost potential gratuity. I am on the AutoFill program, and am extremely disappointed that this even happened. This is, sadly, not the 1st time this has happened, either. More like the 5th or 6th time!!
