I have come thousands of times to sell my daughters pre-owned clothes and today I had the worst experience ... I needed an ID from Virginia, I did not bring it with me ... I do not understand why they ask me for information if I have been coming for 10 years ... I already have to be registered .... the people at the entrance are very bad attentive to customer service ..... check that please .... my clothes are like new ....clean free of pets or smoke

I had a great experience here today despite the previous reviews. Prices are great, so I don’t know how much people expect them to buy their clothes for, also I noticed that a TON of people were bringing things in so that would explain why people have to wait so long for them to go through bags, employees where beyond nice, a young female from Watertown NY and a young man with red hair were very nice with every one, and EVERYONE was wearing a mask. It’s a consignment shop I don’t know what everyone expects and felt that not enough people are leaving them good reviews.

Not terrible, a ton of stuff and cheap prices, should probably clean the toys or anything really before you give them to your kids though

I expect customer service to be humble and appreciative, no matter where I go, be it a consignment store or not. Once Upon A child is a business all the same, and I would much rather take my money and buy things new when my experience is so poor here.I typically shop at the Hampton store, which is somewhat better. Walked into this Fredericksburg location last night with my two little ones, for I’d been texted about the Veteran’s Day deal of Buy 2, Get 1 Free. Upon entering, I’d walked in expecting they had carts as Hampton does, so I didn’t bring my stroller. Well, came to find “no we don’t have carts here,” smugly. Mild annoyance. No apology just for my frustration, as they could see I had just trekked across the parking lot in the rain with both babies attached to me and still were. So I do my shopping, picking like items of equal or lesser value. Go to pay, and I’m told only my least expensive items of the whole lot will be deducted. Meaning, out of 9, the cheapest 3 items of 1 or 2 dollars each would be taken off. You mean I could have x3 $10 items and the third $10 item isn’t free? Just the $1.50 item? I shop a lot for deals, worked retail, EVERY place else understands Buy 2, Get 1 free to be of equal or lesser value. And they acted as if I was inquiring way out of line. They are hagglers over USED clothing! I asked if they could do separate transactions then, because I’m not overpaying and only getting the cheap items as part of the deal. They did, begrudgingly. Then, after 3 transactions (mind you the employee was the slow one) she has the audacity to apologize to the lady behind me, about me, for me. First of all, don’t treat me like an inconvenience. I was very patient with you all and did my part to make the transaction as painless as possible. Plus, it should’ve been second nature to scan and then swipe my card. The woman you apologized to was even surprised you said anything to her.. not understanding what you’re sorry for. Such poor taste! It’s very easy to be kind to PAYING customers.

It was my first visit and I was very happy to find the store good deals and the customer service was great I will be back soon.

Pros: its organized and they buy your used items.Con: Understaffed especially on the weekends. We were told there was a 2 hour wait for them to go through clothes to buy from us. 3 hours later they hadnt even touched the things that were brought in. Didnt really have a choice to just go home as we live almost an hour away.

Not worth the time and hassle. Employees are rude and not helpful. Been buying and seeking items for almost 4 years and it was great in the beginning but has gone way down. I went in today and their system was down so they couldn’t cash out my items and all I was told was I would have to come back there is nothing else I could do. They didn’t even try to offer any solutions or help and were completely rude. I heard it’s not our fault three times. Will not be using this place anymore. I’d rather use yard sale groups or Facebook marketplace to buy sell and trade

Went shopping at this establishment and was taken aback by the prices. I just purchased brand new 5 complete outfits tops and bottoms ( 4 girls and 1 boy), including 4 large hair bows for $60 and NO they were not from Walmart. The $60 included the shipping cost. Their prices would have costs me at least $80 plus gas. I didnt have to wait in line, deal with any type of staff and no gas needed. They need to come way down on their pricing. I will continue to buy for my grandchildren the way I have been and not here. I was very disappointed. Im sure the other stores will gladly take my money.

I love the selection they have here. Ive found so many cute things that I would not have thought existed! The price is generally good, though some items do seem to be about the same price if you bought them new. The store is generous with sales though, so its not a big deal.As far as selling things, they are pretty picky and give you pennies on the dollar. But honestly, I feel like trying to sell used childrens clothing is a hassle no matter how you try to go about it. It does take quite a while.The only real problem I have is the staff tends to be a bit aloof, which combined with the cramped store layout, makes shopping there a bit stressful. Luckily I only have reason to go there once every couple of months, if that.

My husband and I needed a new stroller and decided to stop at this OUAC location first. This has been the best location weve ever been to. Everything is organized, the store was clean, the selection is the largest Ive seen, and the employees went out of their way to help us with the strollers outside all while providing service to other customers. We also didnt experience the lowballing in selling back our other stroller like we have at every other location. We will definitely be back.

The new location is spacious and well organized. I went in on a Monday morning just after they opened. The staff asked for karaoke requests after playing Baby Shark. I jokingly requested the theme song from Titanic. Two of the staff did a full duet and sounded great! It really made my Monday. And I will go back for their exceptional customer service.

How does it take 4 hours to look at a few bags of clothes? Then when we get back theres another twenty minutes to finish on the computer but when we come back at 7:40 they are trying to lock the doors. Maybe you guys can get more done if you didnt just talk and play around and do your job. Oh and be careful, make sure you have a count of what you are taking in because they will steal from you.

Even tho it takes quite awhile to look thru your items the new location is very spacious and very well organized staff is very friendly there was one employee who stood out to me only because of her interaction with the kids that were in the store at the time she greeted them first and starts a conversation with them making them feel just as important as the adult I thought that was awesome (She was Spanish with glasses) overall staff is great, selection is great as well

OUAC is a fantastic shop to get anything your little one may need. My family and I frequently shop here when our little man needs new clothes or toys. The quality is gently used at worse and the prices are really easy on the wallet. Theyre constantly having sales so make sure you sign up to their rewards/notification system!

Always great deals on kids schools. Deals on slightly used clothes are often better than the black friday deals. New building and wide selection. Check here first for kids clothes before overpaying elsewhere.

Unfortunately I have to leave 1 star. I can count on 1 hand how many times the staff here hasn’t been rude. Almost Everyone I’ve dealt with seems as if they hate their job, not to mention either the manager or owner ( not sure what she is) is extremely rude and condescending.This is, of course, in addition to the lowballing. Lowballing would actually probably be an understatement, you can get 10x for your items if you sell them on Facebook marketplace. This is not a testament of how awesome Facebook is but how terrible this place is. If your going to give your stuff away for pennies just give it to goodwill or a church.During coronavirus, you are required to wear a mask while inside but apparently none of the employees follow this rule. Not a single 1 had a mask on today.Run

I brought my items to this location and they said it would take about an hour...Come back an hour and 20 minutes, no text either and they said it would take another hour! Because they got busy and the system went down. BUT, someone who dropped their items of after me came in at the same time and her items had been checked and ready to go! The staff was nice but they are completely off on estimating time of completion. Never going back...

Take your clothes somewhere else to consign. They pay horribly and it’s not worth the effort. Great place to shop though.

I used to shop here before we moved out of the area. The store is a LOT cleaner than it was last I visited in October. Came in yesterday with my daughters (who tend to trash everything they touch). Everything looks neat and organized (for the most part). There are new faces; but it appears to be for the better. There was a younger woman working the register who was a big help in answering questions and the gentleman (forgot his name) introduced himself as the Store Manager and was beyond helpful. He came over personally and helped us with two doll houses we were wanting to look at. It is a breathe of fresh air to come into a store and feel welcome. Everyone said hello; everyone asked if we needed help. The prices are in line with other consignment shops but these people looked like they were having fun. Which is something this store has been missing.

I used to love this store. I bought all my daughters clothes here for years and when I brought in tons of stuff to consign, they told me there was wear, stains, and pet hair on them. Everything was just freshly washed and folded. There was NOTHING on them. Things still had tags or had never been worn without tags.Things I brought in werent even unfolded from how I had put sets together. Ill never give them my business again.

Piss poor management and RUDE employees. They need to learn the difference between wet and cold. All items were laundered but kept in cold storage room so there would be no mildew. 6 bags and basket and all were cold but they claimed wet? Dont bother with these people. They need to be run out of town. Better to sell online and avoid these idiots. Waste of time and all brand names.

I’ve never sold anything but I have shopped there a few times. If you search you can find some good deals. This is the only children’s consignment in the area so it’s better than nothing. For the most part you could buy the items new for almost the same price and sometimes even less. I’ve overheard them turning down a lot of items from people saying they had wear/stains which is surprising because a lot of what is on the racks for sale have both. The racks of clothes are so full it’s hard to even look through them. The shoes are in bins on tall shelves so you literally have to pull off the sometimes heavy bins to see in them.

Never going back to Once Upon a Child again, went earlier this morning. We went to buy clothes and had our ABA therapist with us to help us work with our Autistic son in public settings. He got hyper focused on something and he couldnt get past it with distractions so we decided to leave. We were there maybe 10 min. On the way out an employee said Thank God, finally. Shame on you! We even said when we came in what was going on and that he is autistic. Educate yourself or keep your comments to yourself. Shes lucky I was more concerned about my son and I didnt go back in and say something.

This place claimed my clothes that a washed and folded individually had bugs in them. After waiting almost 5 hrs to have them go through my belongings, it was such an embarrassing moment that I took them back to my car to inspect immediately and there was not one single bug... but I did see a toy I brought in was not given back to me and I received no money for it. So disappointed with this service and dishonesty. Not going back. I didn’t want to go back in to correct them or show them my clothes were bug free because I’m don’t like confrontation but this wasn’t my only bad experience at this specific establishment so I’m finally leaving a review about them. I’d be fine if I saw a bug myself but I didn’t and felt cheated and embarrassed for no reason.

This place is a joke. Two times in a row they havent gotten to go thru my things when promised. Ive had to pick them up without them even touching my boxes. If u feel like waiting two days for nothing, this is the place to go! 🙄 Nobody is friendly or greets u upon entering and theres never an apology for the inconveniences. Im done with this place. Plus they give u like 25 cents for clothes they buy and turn around and sell them for a lot more, perfect little scammers. Thats almost as bad as goodwill 😂

I came in there with 3 bags of nicely folded and laundered clothing. A good portion had never been worn and most only worn once or twice. They took only 3 items and gave me 90 cents for each item. I have been to other Once Upon A Child locations, like the one in Jacksonville, NC. They would have taken everything and given me more money. This store is horrible!! I will NEVER go back. I recommend that everyone stay away from this place. Also, it is not neat and well put together like the store in Jacksonville. Gosh I miss that location now more than ever!!

I recently brought my items to this location, they said it would take about an hour to be completed... When I came back into the store they had only taken a few items from my bag. I had brand new clothing & shoes! The lady at the cash register never explained to me what the reason was for not accepting. Some of the clothing was still folded in the bag, so obviously it wasnt even looked at. What a waste of time... never going back!

Despite the “mask required” sign at the door one of the employees was not wearing mask, I had to tell her 3 times to use a mask. She used it for about a minute then went back to no mask.This is so disrespectful for the health of the other employees and customers.

My fiancé and I have taken so many clothes to this location to sell to them and the ones they decide not to buy we bring them back 2 days later and they end up buying a few more pieces out of the box that we have brought in just a couple days before and what they don’t buy we end up bringing back to them and they would buy a few more pieces and so on. Well today we bring in 2 diaper boxes full of clothes they closed at 8 so they stop taking items at 7:00 my fiancé walks in there at 6pm and they denied to take the boxes of clothes because they “didn’t have the time to go through them” cashier was very rude and just didn’t want to take the time to go through them, another thing is they never take the time to actually go through the clothes half the time that’s why I always bring the items back to them the next day I would fold them a certain way and place them a certain way in the box and most of them would remained untouched so I know for a fact half the time they don’t even go through them at this point I give up and would rather donate to goodwill than go through the hassle ever again.

We took 21 pairs of nice brand name jeans from old navy and crazy 8 and some Levis that were barley worn and a lot of them not worn at all. I purchased these jeans fall 2015 and some Jan2016. Was told that the jeans were out of style and they didnt accept but two pairs. These jeans were recently bought and still on old navy and crazy8 websites for sale. So the nerve to say these jeans are not I style baffles me. And hello when are jeans regardless of bootcut or skinny jeans out of style. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Staff were rude, seemed too busy to even acknowledge your presence at the register, and store was dirty with things thrown everywhere. Ive been to shops like this before and always avoid them and now I know why. Such a shame!

You can buy clothes for infants, toddlers and even teenagers. Low prices and some very good deals. Highly recommend!

Its hit or miss on my visits, but overall I find good stuff for my kids. I dont bother to sell much here- they things they choose to accept seem off from the season or style. But I can make $5-10 sometimes which pays for the thing or two I purchase

I dont know why people are giving bad reviews....I have been coming here for 3 years. My child is 3.5. I have found so many good toys and clothes here, and more recently books. The toys in the back are mostly geared towards the under 3 group. If a toy goes for $40 in Toys R US then it goes for around $8.00 here. I think the prices are excellent. Yes the store is crowded but the prices would be higher if they had more overhead and rent to take care of, dont you think? You can find nice cute clothes for around $4.00 a piece-some more, some less. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

Ive been selling my daughters clothing/toys ext here for years now. I usually leave pretty happy about selling my items. Today was much different. They decided that 22 items were worth buying and offered $45. Im not mad that they didnt take it all. I never expect them to. But offering me that little money Im so disappointed. I usually walk out with now less than $80.I went ahead with the sale just because I dont have time to sell all of it on my own. But I wont be coming back to sell. Sorry once upon a child you lost a 7year long customer...

I had an awesome childrens consignment stip by my house in Manassas. I purchased both my kids winter coats last year for less than $10 each. The zipper broke on my daughters winter coat (WeeCycle) so stopped into OUAC. I was shocked how expensive the winter coats were! Most were$20-$25 for ok condition coats from Old Navy and Target. 2 of them didnt even have zippers. I moved on to shoes where again, the prices were much higher than what Id expect for used shoes. Im not going to spend $10 for Cat and Jack shoes I can buy brand new for $12

Although I agree with others on the consigning part and thats why I wont even attempt it, the ladies there have been nice to me, and regarding prices, its a consignment shop not a thrift shop! Consignment shops tend to be more pricey than thrift shops. But that being said, I found my toddler daughter a cute brand new with tags pair of light up sandals with Dora on them for just under $3 and a cute excellent condition mermaid shirt that my daughter is now obsessed over for $1.25! If you really look, you can find the more affordable things. I give it 4 stars only because I would agree on the consigning part. But then again, all the places that buy youre clothes will low ball it or not even accept them.

This place is horrible the staff is rude the manager is rude I brought my son shoes up there Timberland boots and Jordans barely worn always kept in the box and shes going to tell me that the shoes have an odor they smell brand new unbelievable I smelled the shoes tried to get her to smell them and she refused to Im trying to understand how does new shoes have an odor. They are extremely picky on clothes also do not waste your time they try to lowball you. Is absolutely not worth it I dont even know how theyre even in business the staff are extremely rude and theyre playing around and goofing off!!!!

My wife went up there, took 2 full bags of clothes that were pretty much new. Most of the clothes still had tags on them and this crappy store only took 11 pieces and offered $15 for them. Plus she stated the store was dirty and smelled really bad. My wife was up there for 1 hour and a half. The people in the store were rude and no customer service. Id advise you not to go there. Dont waist your time.

Usually I have AWFUL customer service in here that’s why I never come in as many times as I need, but today I had GREAT customer service from Peggy & Samantha. They helped me load up a swing and take it apart to fit in my car. Thank you ladies :)

Forgot security tag on item

Spent 4 hours waiting for my stuff to be gone through. Just for them to not take hundreds of items. Including Christmas dress, fall dress, sweatshirts, sleepers, outfits etc. will never waste my time doing that ever again. Way worth it to consign and shop at the weecycle.

This place is terrible. It took them 3 hours to go through my box and they weren’t busy at all. They said it would take a hour!!! And to top it they only took like 4 items out of the whole box! WTF. three hours for that? Total waste of time if you want to sell things.

The manager is very RUDE. He basically told me to take my business elsewhere all because they were applying the buy 2 get 1 free deal on all the 1.50 onesies instead of the 3rd of the same price range item. He allowed me to return my purchase and instead of doing what’s right he told me it didn’t matter, as in they don’t need my business anyways

I first want to say that I am not sure that I have ever left a negative review of a place of business before and I am not doing this over something silly. Last night my husband and I thought it would be a good idea to drop our items off on the way to dinner. As I walked into the shop all smiles; I was greeted with a large sigh! I met this sigh knowing it may have been a bad day with a very polite and understanding comment of, “This is not for tonight, I understand it is getting late, just wanted to drop off for later.” I felt like this was more than fair considering I had already been treated rudely, ***see initial sigh above***. The employee does not address my comment of it being dropped off to be evaluated later, instead, the employee proceeds to say, “For future reference we are going to stop taking items at ‘xyz time reference’I have not only sold items at this store before but also spent my hard earned money at this store as do many others, and while I certainly do not in the least bit feel entitled to any special treatment I do feel like as human beings we owe each other general respect. Last night I showed you that respect by greeting you politely only to be met with a sigh, then when I felt terrible for even being in the store, I felt the need to apologize and explain that I was not expecting it to be completed tonight, which was then met with you making up a new policy on the spot which is different of that of your posted policy on your own webpage.Thank you.

Went to turn in items I bought from there and brand new items with tags and the girl who took the clothes to check didnt even look at anything, never sent a text the items were done. She said she smelled something strong, it was probably her lack of deoterant or something she was smoking bc her eyes were barely open and bright red. Never wasting my time there, they dont buy half the stuff you bring in anyway.

TRASH! RUDE! & NO CLASS! I agree with another post below...if I could give negative stars I would! Their friendlyness & customer service sucks! The store needs some cleaning. They only took the new stuff out my boxes...the tagged clothes. They took out 29 items for $30...I did not accept their offer. They don’t bother to help you bring it in or carry it out...like everyone else I had my kids with me & this wonderful lady shopping is the only one who offered to help. To the ones on here posting the positive posts that’s great glad you are supporting the trash!

I see all these bad reviews about the service here but imagine working here. HORRIBLE. Its like a sweat shop. If you thought the employees were rude wait till you meet the owner. EVIL. She sits at home and watches the employees on camera like a soap opera then calls to complain. If i could rate this place zero stars i would.

Takes forever for them to go through your stuff. No set standard on items taken. I had In-Season clothes (ie, long sleeves and costumes) and they took one jacket out of an big box... Really? There are clothes on the racks with stains. The money they give you for the items they take is not worth the wait or drive. Ive felt with consignment stores my entire life. I grew up in gently used clothes and so do my children. This is by far the worst store Ive dealt with. Dont believe me? Just walk in....If you make it passed the mountain of items yet to be went through by the 6 people working

Went there yesterday with a basket of clothes all in great condition. I come back to them only offering $3. As they normally say because of stains. What stains there were none & furthermore I always wash the clothes & make sure no stains before I bring them. Theyre very cheap & Id like to know what system they use to price items. On top of that one employee left to go outside during to go catch a damn Pokémon on the go! Unprofessional. Also there was some type of rodent repellent on the counter by the register big thing just sitting there while they were all ignoring & talking as if I wasnt standing there waiting!!!!

Very wide selection of used childrens clothing and equipment. A little something for everyone. Can be crowded and cramped, especially if some customers bring their strollers in. But staff is friendly and helpful.

I stopped off at this branch to sell some toddler clothing. I came back over an hour later and was given my basket. I noticed that most were still coming back to me but also that there was girl clothing mixed in. I have two boys and was only selling boys clothing, so I had to ask them what was going on since this wasnt my clothing and where was my clothing that sold. They said it was a mistake and had to take the girl clothing off the computer ( if I didnt say anything, I would have gotten paid for someone elses clothing). While the girl was at the computer I noticed a pair of my stride rite shoes to the side. She hadnt entered them in and I would not have gotten credit for them if I didnt mention this to them. Finally they told me they would give me 12.10 for 12 items. I can tell you that they would not sell those 12 items for $2.00. One of the items was a gap kids winter coat that they would sell in the store for at least $10. They would not sell the Stride Rite shoes for $2.00. If this was the case everyone would be buying out the store. I took everything back home and will not go back to the store. I had actually been to the store in Richmond a month before and they offered me appropriate prices for my items. Be careful about this franchise. She is buying items that are not 50% of the store price they will sell it for. Also they are not organized so that clothing does not get co-mingled. I saved the women, whose girls clothes that were in my hamper from not getting the credit for her clothing. DO NOT SHOP HERE. SHOW THE FRANCHISEE THAT SHE IS RUINING THE ACTUAL COMPANY NAME AND SHE IS SCAMMING EVERYONE WHO IS TRIES TO SELL THERE.

Some really good deals here. My only issue is the clearence sales, one person goes in on the first day and buys every single item marked clearence so there is literally nothing left.

If I could leave ZERO stars, that still wouldnt suffice. Not only are all the bins of shoes completely mixed together but there are no color coded bins for boys/girls so youre left to pull out every. single. bin. of shoes to try and find the sizes youre looking for. After six bins, I gave up looking. Not only is the store disorganized, but today while shopping for my 9yo, I witnessed the most absurd actions by some of the employees of this location.A lady who had an infant strapped to her chest, a toddler and small (looked to be around 6yrs old) girl were shopping in the same area as me. Her little girl said she felt sick so the lady asked an employee if she could quickly have a bag. The employee took too long to get a bag and the little girl threw up all over the floor. Instead of an employee putting on gloves to clean up the mess and block the area off so no one could walk through it, they handed the little girl a roll of paper towels and a trash can to clean it up. Her mother had both arms full of clothes, still strapped with a baby and a toddler in tow. NOT ONE SINGLE EMPLOYEE VOLUNTEERED TO HELP HER!!!!!!! By this time I had walked to the back of the store and back to the front again where the little girl had just finished wiping the floor and throwing the paper towels in the trash. One employee was standing directly in front of them, going through a bin of clothes, never moving to get some kind of cleaning spray to clean the floor. I said, Excuse me! Can you please get something to clean the floor with!? She just threw up and this is the check-out aisle! She looked at me like I had a third eye in my forehead and walked to the back of the store. A minute later she came back and said someone else was coming.At this point, I was furious. I asked the mother of the three children if I could help her, hold her clothes or do anything for her and she politely declined. By this time, several employees had walked ON THE FLOOR that still need to be cleaned, walking around on the carpet and spreading all kinds of bacteria and germs around since they werent competent enough to walk around the area.Im absolutely appalled that there was no common courtesy or common sense at play today in what I witnessed. I WILL NOT be returning to this store. I will pay full price for my childrens clothing before I step foot in this place again.

They turned down $100 linen kids pajamas!Seriously their loss. Glad they didnt buy them. I brought a lot of good stuff. Barely worn shows and stuff. They only bought 18 items for $20.

Id say these guys run a good lil scam. We brought in a tote of clothes ranging from 3t to size 14/16 Id venture to guess half of the items still had tags on them just stuff the kids never wore cuz they out grew them to quickly. Anyways they told us to leave it with them and they would get back to us in a hour or so and they would text us when they had gone they everything. We received our text about 20 mins after leaving so we finished up what we were doing and returned to the shop. They wanted to buy 3 items and told me the rest were to worn or faded. Then when I said well give me the tote they looked shocked like I was gonna leave the clothes there with them so when I walked out the door they could price all of it and put it up for sale. I dont reccomend doing business with a place that acts so shady. The help almost always has a sour look on there face and they seemed to treat dads differently then moms. Like a fad had no idea what new clothes were and how funny it was to see price tags on the clothes in the tote and they were claiming the clothes were worn and faded. I say again this place is a scam.

Brought newborn clothes here, most never worn. Was hoping to trade for the sizes my kids needed .Came back after they so called looked at them and they didnt accept any .Said that the reason was wear and tear and stains .But literally had none of them!!! Didnt even look like they went through any of it!!

A decent place to shop for your kids. The place is very casual and messy but the price is right.

Associates dont even acknowledge you when youre standing there. Multiple times I went in because I was told it would be 2 hours came back after two and a half still wasnt done. I was given this information after I stood there for a minute waiting for someone to ask if I could be helped. Then the third time I went in I waited again two associates looked right at me and didnt say anything just went about pricing and chatting with each other. I dont know if the staff is trained to be as unhelpful as possible and ignore people who stock their shelves with merchandise but if so theyre doing a great job at it. Will never return to this location and will never recommend any of my friends to buy or sell there. Everyone that was there today was rude.

Very RUDE service! Walk in and know one greeted me sat there and stared at me as I was not welcomed! All the close had holes or stains in them and the floors were absolutely awful!

What I dont like or appreciate is when I do take very gently used designers( True Religion, Ralph Lauren, Uggs etc.) items to consign. Most of the items have not even been unfolded, so that shows me that they didnt bother to thoroughly go thru the items. Just beware!!! The owner also runs the clothing mentor a few doors down and they do the same thing. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

Completely agree with all of the comments about the rude staff at this location and their horrible set up for consigning. Ive tried to consign here twice and have been very disappointed each time. I only bring in top notch brand, clean clothes in excellent condition. Both times I have walked away with almost all of the items I brought in and was paid a very small amount for the items they did choose to buy from me. I have done a lot of shopping for my little ones here and have always found great clothes, but I think I will find somewhere else after this last experience. I hope whoever owns this location reads these reviews and takes to heart what people are saying. Your store needs some major work in the customer service arena.

Never recieved a text that our clothes were ready, which we were waiting for. We brought them in two new $7 tubs which they had lost and donated all the clothes. Employee had an attitude when we confronted her about never recieving a text. Manager didn’t do anything. Do not shop here

This is a best place and very neat clothes for kids. And very good reasonable prices to save money! Love this!

Do not shop here bc this store is is being managed by a woman named Lily that knows absolutely NOTHING about customer service! Being a mother we tend to forget things trying to keep up with our children, our jobs, etc. I forgot my stroller was in my husbands car. After driving over 45 min to get here my son was sleeping. Lily looked at me as if I was trash. Gave my son a dirty look and refused to let me use a stroller. I understand the rules but sometimes you need to go out of your way for your customers. I was unable to purchase anything because I was holding my sleeping child. Not to mention I was a loyal customer for many years and have spent alot of money here!

This place is a total JOKE! They said it would take them an hour and a half to 2 hrs at the most to go thru my things and i dropped my them off at 10am and it will not be done until 2pm! So frustrated. I would give a -star if i could.

If you could give negative stars this place deserves it.Ok so lets start with a medium sized hatchback with the car seats out and the seats folded down, stuffed to the brim with clothes, toys, hiking backpack and highchair. I pull all of them out drag it all in the cramped store fighting to get in past people trying to get out. I was assisted by a nice girl that worked that who took pity and held the door for me. As I put things down and stacked them up the woman in charge of assessing the consignment stuff looks at the bottom of the high chair tray and sees that is says 2006 right off the bat she said that it is too old and they cant take it and that 7 years is the limit for a highchair (totally reasonable). Knowing that my oldest child is only 5 and that I bought the highchair new when she was about 6 months I questioned her. Then I called Fisher Price (a know-it-all dick move sure) to verify that the manufacture date for the chair is of course on the back of the chair not the removable tray, otherwise you could switch trays and avoid a safety recall. I had the lady from Fisher Price verify out loud to the woman. Not trying to be a total know-it-all B I apologized to her (consignment woman) and told her I had just hauled all the stuff here and I didnt want to take it back because of a misunderstanding. She said that it was fine. They then kept my stuff over night because they were so busy, the next day I got a text saying they were done so I took my daughter with me to pick up what was left and grab some clothes for her.When we get there they tell me that they cant take the highchair because there was a recall. They said it was recalled for tab that hangs off the legs, turns out that recall is for a different model 2 years before my highchair was built. Then they tell me that they didnt need any of the stuff I brought (boys and girls 12mnth to 4t heavy winter to summer stuff) Then they tell me that they didnt even go through 3 large totes that I brought. Then as I am taking everything back to the car I see that they never even looked through any of the totes because it is still folded and packed in there how I had it packed the day before. If they dont need something fine, if you dont have room that is great, just say that. Dont get pissy and forget how to do your job.I have waited a month or more to write this so that I dont use every invective I can sling and it is still a chore. It is a shame that we are reduced to dealing with vindictive children to cloth our children. Honestly, you can buy clothes at Target for the same price and they dont have that sickly sweet smell that sticks to everything in there.

Everyone who posted on this site have to realize that these places are personally and privately owned. Ive been to 2 different once upon a child and one owner stop taking my new items cuz she said she dont know where they came from. The lamest excuse for a business owner. It didnt bother me that she didnt take my items. But what does bother me. Is that these places look for customers to help their business but at the same time their turning them away...why? Cause they have enough items to hold them and their storage until the storage units start going down. No more customers being interested in selling due to disrespectful employees and owners...people like this...dont stay in business for too long. Im a real estate owner. They can never brake me. Hahahahahahaa

You can get some good deals but watch for sales to really cash in. The cashiers never have a sense of urgency so prepare to wait 15 minutes minimum in line. Dont bring a stroller, the isles are very narrow.

I dont have young children but my daughter shop there all the time. My grandchildren are always dressed and looks nice dailyvand where evercthey go.

Great prices for a decent selection of clothing but it will recieve 2 stars due to the fact that when they buy clothes from you they only pick and choose. Brung in baby clothes that were both slightly worn or never worn and out of 40 pieces they only chose 5 because the others were worn too much which is funny because they have clothes and shoes that either something sticky on it or shoes with grease marks so it tells you something right there. also looks like im not the only one with a similar issue. Will not be shopping there anymore

Its ok. Workers were not very friendly. If you need clothes they have a bunch. They do not have car seats.

Once Upon a Child in Fredericksburg is a terrible place. They had such bad reviews on Facebook and so many one-star ratings that they completely took down their review section on Facebook altogether. I posted my review about my bad experience on Facebook last Saturday, now their whole review section is gone. Im not going to post my whole review again, but them taking out that part of their page should tell you something. My advice is to stay away from here, and dont believe any promotional flyers you may see.

Worst store Ive ever shopped at. Went there for the 10 onesies for $10 special. Picked all of the onesies from the same rack--with the sign on it. After waiting in line an inordinately long time--with only 2 people ahead of me, once I got to the register the cashier walked away and left me standing there another 10 minutes or so. Another cashier did open the next register, but took the person at the END of the line first! When my cashier returned and started ringing up the onesies she told me that about 1/2 of them werent onesies and were more expensive. They all pulled onto the baby and had snaps at the bottom and were on the same rack--with the sign, 10 for $10! Every time shed come to one or more she didnt consider a onesie she told me to go back and find another one. This was ridiculous! Obviously it was holding up every one else in line, making us late to our movie and insane because A Onesie is A Onesie! Again, rudest and worst run store ever!

Rude employees. No one speaks to you and act irritated to have to ring your purchase. Same experience each visit. Mediocre selection with Luke warm prices. Dont recommend.
